Author's Note
This is just the prologue, sorry it's so short
Jack Horner thrust his hand inside his magic, bottomless bag. "And guess what I have?" he exclaimed, pulling his hand out, gripping the hilt of a sword. "Excalibur!" He finished pulling his hand out to reveal the sword is still attached to the stone. "Well, I couldn't get the rock off, but it works as a hammer now!"
He swung at the nearest of his enemies. Once the stone made contact with a guard, a chunk of the stone flew off into a different part of the field. "Well, that's worthless now," he said, staring at it and throwing it aside. "That's okay! I still have others!"
The Wishing Star floated higher and higher until it came to an abrupt stop. It glew brightly before expanding and shattering, causing bits of the star to fly in different directions, never to be seen again.
"Hmm, interesting," a female voice said, staring at the sword inside the broken rock. "This isn't supposed to be what this is used for. This is supposed to be used for good, not evil like him."
"I can help with that, ma'am," Jiminy Cricket called, bouncing up to the robed figure.
"How can you help?"
"I can help you find one worthy to wield it," Jiminy replied. "And then I can let you know."
"Would he need your help, by chance?"
"If he can't get the sword without my help, ma'am, he can't get it at all," Jiminy replied, bowing. "Plus, maybe 'he' is actually a 'she.'"
"It's a general term, Jiminy," the robed woman said.
"R-right, ma'am. S-sorry, ma'am."
"I trust you will do well to find me one worthy to wield this sword, Jiminy. In return, I will make sure the sword will be wielded by the right one." She raised her hand above the sword, and waved it once over the face of the sword. The sword glew, restoring the stone and burring it into the ground. "What did you do, ma'am?" Jiminy asked.
"I returned the sword to it's original, purified state," the woman said. "And, once you leave, I will erect guardians to guard the sword from any evil doers."
"What will the guardians be, ma'am?" Jiminy asked.
"You will discover that soon enough," the woman said, bending down to Jiminy's level. "I have one final favor to ask you."
"Ask away ma'am!"
"Will you travel with this chosen one, to lead him to the right direction?"
"Yes, ma'am!"
"You have my gratitude, Jiminy," the woman said, standing again. "Lead him the right way, make sure he doesn't go astray, and see if he is the chosen one for the sword. Remember, the sword can only be wielded by one who is worthy to do so. He must overcome many challenges. Can I trust you, Jiminy?"
"Yes, ma'am!" Jiminy said, saluting her.
"You have my deepest gratitude, Jiminy."
With that, Jiminy bounced away, to the nearest kingdom. Along the way, in the small towns, he askes for directions to what people called 'Far Far Away.'
