HailClan Interactive Story

HailClan interactive is an interactive story focused on the young leader Ferretstar and her struggles to protect her clan in the brink of war. The BreezeClan leader has threatened to chase her medicine cat out. Will she and her clan be able to stand to this occasion, or are there more unseen issues that will come to pass than any one cat can handle?

1. Chapter 1: Ferretstar

HailClan Interactive was originally posted on my Warriors Amino account and story choices would be voted on via polls. It was a side project to encourage myself to write about my OCs on a weekly basis, but eventually peetered out to whenever inspiration struck. I may or may not return to this format at some point, just wanted another site to host the story because I currently am not using the app. Chapters average 600-1,200 words each. The original run had 37 chapters plus four bonus 'lore' stories. You should be able to access them without logging in on desktop, but I will be posting all the chapters here as well.

CWs will be mentioned on a chapter to chapter basis, but my aim for these series was to keep the maturity level similar to the original warriors books, so expect kitty violence and drama but overall less 'Dark' than the ThrashClan series.

Ferretstar's mind was heavy on the way back from the gathering. The cream she cat knew from what had been said, that her Clan could be on the brink of war.

"Tough crowd, huh?" Comes a voice behind her. It was Gingerleaf, grinning as usual. "You cats sure know how to throw a welcoming party, neheh." The medicine cat had a goofy tone, but there was a fearful look in his eyes.

"It wasn't supposed to happen like that," Ferretstar says plainly, "I'm sorry, I don't want to talk about this right now, I need to think."

Gingerleaf nods, and falls back to talk with another of the warriors. Ferretstar shook her head as paced ahead to walk beside her deputy. The small gray tom started to walk faster, but she kept up with him.

"We need to talk when we get back," Ferretstar hisses in Puddleclaw's ear as they walk, "Alone." And then she races off ahead of him, leading the patrol back to camp.

"Puddleclaw crossed the line calling out to her," Ferretstar thought gravely.

She'd never seen Foxstar so angry before. Ferretstar knew the other clan leaders held her decisions in contempt, but Foxstar was another story. When she heard the news Ferretstar had made Gingerleaf, a former rouge, the HailClan medicine cat, she threatened to force them to make a new choice. She only got angrier when Puddleclaw challenged that Foxstar was a hypocrite, because there were former rouges in BreezeClan too.

"Well, it's nothing new"' The young leader thought stubbornly.

HailClan had always been the least respected Clan in the forest; their warriors were the smallest of all the clans, and their camp was in an abandoned twoleg den. The other clans called them runts and kittypets. It didn't help that Ferretstar's father actually was a kittypet. Even so, Ferretstar's Clan would prove they were strong, that they wouldn't be pushed around. It didn't matter where they came from as long as they were willing to fight.

The creaking sound of old wood sounded in the distance. They were finally back to camp. Ferretstar headed straight towards her den without a second thought. But before she could reach her destination, suddenly a fat tabby tom rushed in front of her.

"Birchtail-!" Ferretstar yelps and skids to a stop. Birchtail seems to completely ignore the fact he was almost stepped on.

"Oh Ferretstar it's wonderful!" Birchtail chirps, "One of Silvercloud's kits- they made it!"

Silvercloud.

Her mate. A kit. It dawned on her that meant they were parents. With that realization, Ferretstar forgot everything else.

Shoving the giggling Birchtail aside, Ferretstar crawled into the nursery.

"Silvercloud-!" Ferretstar says, louder than she meant to. Silvercloud hushes her with a gentle purr.

"Look, Ferr," Silvercloud says softly, "Our kit." At the silver queen's belly was a tiny pale scrap.

Birchtail's older kits poked at the newborn curiously, but Silvercloud swatted them away with her tail. Birchtail came in and carried them out so the leader could have some privacy.

Silvercloud purrs in amusement and gives her single tabby kit a lick in the head. "So what do you want to name them?"

Chocked with emotion, Ferretstar manages to answer her mate. "I'll name them..."
