Lost and Found:

A Monty x Sunny fanfic

...

Location: Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria

Time: 2:45pm

Monty Gator walked around the pizzaplex after a performance on the main stage. He was given free time to roam around the large pizza plex mall, giving anyone the opportunity to take photos with him.

A lot of kids were here today because there were five kids celebrating their birthdays; which meant each kid invited about fifteen to twenty kids, and each kid came with an adult or two. Monty knew his software could do the math, but he didn't want to put in the effort. There were a lot of brats and runts running around the pizza plex. He didn't care how many. There were always too many of them to count.

Monty found himself wandering back towards his Gator Golf area. No one seemed to want to take pictures with him today, which was fine with Monty anyway, he hated when the parents would leave their cameras on flash and blind him. It pissed him off. That's why there was no flash photography allowed in his Gator Golf course. Inside was dimly lit to give it that dark swamp vibe that he liked so much. It was also why he wore his star shaped sunglasses, he wasn't a fan of bright lights.

He took the elevator down to the lower level where Gator Golf was located. The whole place was dark, with only green and purple florescent lights lighting up the place. A river surrounded by green plastic fronds snaked all around the 18 courses. There was a gandala skyway, a golf ball ride and of course animatronic gators. Can't have a gator golf without gators. They were just robotic heads that came out of the water and made a real gator growl sound. Monty felt right at home here. Since he had no more performances till five, he could practice his golf swing-

Alert. Alert: Unattended child.

Monty stopped in his tracks from the sudden warning. He heard the soft crying nearby. The unattended child was in Gator Golf. His scanners indicated that it was a five year old female human child. He turned his head and looked around; his infrared eyes scanning for any lone individual. His red eyes eventually fell upon the child hiding.

She was crouched down amongst the plastic ferns, and was sobbing. Wearing a pink dress and lavender colored tights. In her hands she was holding a Glamrock Chica plushie. Her parents were nowhere in sight.

Monty hesitated where he stood. He was never good with the little ones. The older ones liked him, but the little ones like this kid here...they usually ran screaming in terror from him. Usually Chica or even Freddy were the ones who dealt with the tiny ones. They knew how to deal with them. Also a pretty chicken and a big teddy bear weren't so manacing looking in comparison to an alligator.

The little girl looked up at him when he approached her. She hugged her Chica plush closer to her chest. Tear streaks ran down her face. Monty hesitated before bending down and putting his hand out like someone would try to awkwardly coax out a cat from hiding.

"Come 'ere...kiddo," Monty called to her in his gruff voice. The girl didn't move. Her eyes widened at the sight of him. She scoots further into the plastic ferns, almost disappearing growls in frustration. Can't she see that he's trying to help her?

"If you don't come here then you wont find your parents," he snapped impatiently. The little girl started to cry again.

He sighed, straightening up. He didn't know what else to do. He had no way of asking the other Glamrocks for help. They were all busy attending a birthday party on the other side of the pizzeria. One of the birthday kids only wanted Freddy and the female Glamrocks. The kid had a fear of alligators. Kid nearly got his hand bitten off by one in Florida a few years back.

Aligatorphobia: The fear of alligators.

That's why he was walking around the complex. Alone. It wasn't the first time he wasn't invited to join in on a child's birthday party. He tried not to let it get to him, but in the end it always did, and he would walk off alone. The photo ops sometimes cheered him up.

A few times he was asked for pictures by the parents, but most of the kids complained that they didn't want to take a photo with Monty.

"He's not Freddy! I want to take a photo with Freddy!" they would shout and throw a tantrum.

Monty blinked and the recorded memory stopped playing in his mind. Once he did, he realized the crying child was gone. He straightened up. "Kid? Kiddo?" he called, looking around. Where did she go?

Behind him, he heard a scuffle, causing him to whip around. His alligator tail whipping behind him in the process. The girl had tripped on the green pathway while getting away from him.

"Kid? What are you doing? I'm trying to help you!" he snapped angrily as he started to stomp his heavy metal feet towards her. The girl screamed and began running down the decided to quicken his pace, but it only made the girl run faster.

"You aren't making this easy for me, kid," Monty said, but was drowned out by the loud gator growls from the river. There weren't a lot of people playing golf today... Ok scratch never was anyone

wanting to play golf. It was always Freddy's Laser tag. That was what everyone chose over Gator Golf. The kids always said that golf was for "old people," and yet Monty would see people in their sixties or even seventies grouping up in front of Freddy's Laser tag and retrieving their laser guns for a few rounds.

"Kid! Stop running!" Monty called out to her. He slowed down his walking when he realized he had lost sight of her. A couple of teenagers ran by him, smacking their golf clubs at the plastic green foliage and the gator heads along the way. Monty looked around the dimly lit area. His heat scanners activated-

A scream interrupted his picked up his pace and ran towards the sound.

The girl got startled by one of the gator heads that lunged out of the river towards the pathway; causing her to scream and stumble backwards. A loud splash came afterwards. Monty arrived where the girl fell into the river.

The girl screamed for help, thrashing her little arms wildly in the water. Her little pink dress billowing around her like a flower. She didn't look like she knew how to swim. Monty came up to her and reached down. He ignored her screams and kicks.

Monty grabbed her arm and lifted her up out of the water. She weighed nothing to him. Basically weighed as much as a Freddy plushie at the prize counter. He set her down on the pathway. A puddle of water already was forming at her feet. Monty hoped it was water.

"Allright. No more running. Yer coming with me," he said with a bit of his Southern twang slipping. He picked her up again and tucked her up in his arm like a bag of potatoes, and walked down the pathway towards the exit. The little girl was in shock so she didn't try to resist, which was a relief to Monty. He didn't want to scoop her out of his river again.

He knew he wouldn't be able to find her parents through the sea of people here today, but he unfortunately knew one animatronic who had every information on all the little ones inside the pizza plex:

The freak. The freak with the double personalities...The Daycare Assistant...what was his name again? Starboy? No... Sundrop. Right. He had candy named after him. They both did. Sundrop and Moondrop. He remembered the advertisements on the large screens. Were they two different characters? or just one animatronic? Monty didn't really care. He only hoped he didn't have to interract with the freak for very long.

The Daycare Center was on the other side of the Pizza plex, so it took a good twenty to twenty five minutes to walk over there.

Once he made it to the other side of the pizza plex, he set the kid down in front of him and knocked on the tall wooden door. He looked down at the girl in front of him and saw she was trembling. He wasn't sure if it was because she was cold from the water, or if she was still scared. Monty thought about leaving the child in front of the doors before the Daycare Assistant came over, but it was too late.

The smiling sun head was the first thing to greet him through the double doors. He was a very tall and lanky character. His name fit him since his head was a grinning sun with sunrays that poked out along the sides of his faceplate. His attire was jester inspired with striped pants, ruffles, and curled toed shoes; and had the bold colors of gold and red. He even had bells that jingled from his wrists and shoes. With his cheerful faceplate, his personality matched as well.

"Oh! Good afternoon, Montgomery! What are you doing here today? Are you here to say hi to the kids? We know today is Benny's birthday today! We can all join together and sing 'Happy Birthday' to him!" the sun animatronic said in his overly, Happy-go-lucky cheery voice. He opened the door for them to come inside.

The girl obediently walked inside after the Daycare assistant. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and wonder. Monty hesitated where he stood. He had never been inside the Daycare before.

The Daycare Assistant motioned for Monty to walk in. "We are playing hide and seek right now! The kids all wanted to play and ran off to hide, so we're here seeking all of them!" Monty followed the sun animatronic inside and looked around. The whole place was a kid's playpen dream. There were multiple playgrounds to climb on. A huge ball pit. A small theatre to play dress up and act out scenes in. Rainbows and smiling faces decorated the whole place; and it was brightly lit. The complete opposite of Monty's dark Golf area. On top of that, it was a big room. Bigger than Gator Golf. Come to think of it, Freddy's and Roxy's Raceway were bigger than Monty's Golf course too.

Monty narrowed his eyes behind his purple star sunglasses in envy. Sundrop didn't seem to notice as he continued talking. The animatronic talked a lot. Way more than any of the others. It always irritated Monty. Fortunately it didn't seem to bother the little girl at all as she looked around the room with a smile on her face. Sundrop did a cartwheel and a few flips towards the center of the daycare.

"We were not expecting guests to come and visit! But it's ok! We still have cookies and juice boxes in the snack area over there!" The sun animatronic gracefully gestured over to the far corner of the room.

Monty just stood there, waiting for the Daycare Animatronic to stop talking so he can get back to walking alone around the pizza plex again. The Daycare Attendant called the kids over.

"Children! Children! Come on out! We have guests!" The children came out obediently from where they hid in the daycare. They came running like little bunnies to their momma.

"Look who's here! Come on out and say hi to Montgomery Gator!" Sundrop said as he theatrically gestured to the gator. All the kids looked up, up up, at the tall Glamrock gator. Monty watched as their eyes widened and huddled immediately behind the sun animatronics' gold and red striped pant legs.

Unlike Monty, Sundrop seemed very surprised by their actions. "Children! We are not playing hide and seek! Don't be shy! We are all friends here! Friends who eat cake and share treats and throw confetti around! And then clean up the confetti afterwards and sing songs, and play games like hide and seek and red rover and duck duck goose and hide the Freddy plush! Oh! Let's play hide the Freddy plush! That's a fun game to play-!"

..Monty's patience didn't last long.

"Ok. Just shut it, Sunhead. I'm just here to drop this kid off. I found her in my territory. She lost her parents," Monty said in his deep, gruff voice. The kids shifted uneasily behind The Daycare assistant's legs from his sudden tone of voice. The girl's smile fell from her face.

Monty could see Sundrop's gears turning in his head before volleying another set of fast spoken gently took the little girl into his arms and held her up in front of him.

"Oh! Oh my stars! What a tragedy! Not to worry, my little sunshine! You are safe now! Let's see, what is your name...Ashley. Age: 5. Favorite Glamrock: Chica. Ah yes! I know you! No need for the waterworks! Oh my! Speaking of water...You are soaked to the bone! All your clothes are wet! Don't worry, sunshine! We have extra clothes in the back for you! Did you fall in the water in the gator golf area? Oh dear! Well thank the stars you are safe! Did Montgomery save you from the water? He did?! He's a hero! Montgomery Gator is a hero!" the Daycare Animatronic looked over at Monty, smiling his huge cheerful grin.

Monty made an irritated face at the Daycare Animatronic. "Just...call me Monty. Ok. I'm leaving now...see ya, kiddo. Hope you find your parents." With that, Monty turned and began walking out of the daycare. Behind him, he heard Sundrop try to get the kids to say thank you to him for dropping by, but of course, none of the kids said anything. Monty knew they were too scared of him. It wasn't till he reached the door when he heard the litte girl, Ashley, cry out in a panic.

"My Chica plushie! Where is she? I had her in my hands! Chica!" Ashley wailed.

Monty sighed. Of course. The kid dropped her Chica plushie somewhere. He turned around and watched the Daycare assistant comfort her. "Oh deary dear! Not to worry! We have plenty of Chica plushies here-"

"But I want MY Chica plushie! I need her now! I want my mommy!" Ashley cried, rubbing her eyes with her hands.

Sundrop looked up at Monty with his creepy white eyes. "Montgomery! Could you be Ashley's hero again and-"

"What? No! I'm not..." Monty's voice faltered when Sundrop picked Ashley up and held her in his thin arms. Ashley rubbed her eyes with her tiny fists. Weeping softly. Sundrop looked up at Monty with a pleading look. "It would mean the world to little Ashley here," he said softly. Ashley looked over at Monty with her big eyes.

Finally, Monty sighed a long sigh.

"Fine! I'll get her plushie!" Monty snapped his sharp teeth. He turned around and stomped out of the Daycare before Sundrop could slip in another word.

Why did he let that Sunhead freak convince him to find that stupid Chica plushie for the little girl? Who did that freak think he was?

He wasn't a walking Lost and Found! That's for sure! He didn't go around retrieving little girl's plushies! He was a Glamrock! A celebrity!

Monty kicked a maintenance bot over in rage when it came wheeling by.

He made his way back to his Gator Golf area and made his way down the elevator. When he got to the lower level, he began looking around for the plushie. He knew exactly where Ashley had been and began to head over in that direction.

Monty finally spotted the Chica plushie. Three teens were hitting it with their golf clubs instead of the different colored golf balls they provided at the front. Monty knew it was Ashley's Chica plushie because it made wet splat noises whenever it smacked against the ground.

He approached the three teens and stood a couple feet from them. He cleared his throat. "Hey runts, I need that Chica plushie right now," Monty said gruffly.

The teenagers looked up from their game and scoffed. "You can't tell us what to do," said one with a backwards red cap on his head.

"Yeah! you aren't my dad! You're just a stupid robot," said another with a green shirt on.

"We found this plushie first!" said the third teenager with the blue shoes.

Monty narrowed his red eyes behind his purple star sunglasses. "I'm not asking you runts, I'm telling you to give me back that plushie," he growled, his green mechanical tail swishing behind him.

The teenagers didn't seem to want to listen to the alligator. They continued smacking the wet plushie around. Monty came up to one of them and grabbed the head of the golf club in his claws. The red hat teenager gave Monty a look of surprise. Monty bared his teeth at the kid.

"I'm not going to repeat myself, brat," he snarled.

"My parents work here!" Red Hat threatened. Monty scoffed, lowering his head down at the kid's eye level.

"I don't care. Now let go before I have to hurt you."

Red Hat pulled the golf club out of Monty's grip and brought it down hard against the gator's face. Monty grunted in surprise. He felt the golf club make contact with his sunglasses. The pieces fell from his face and onto the ground.

Monty stared down at the broken sunglass. They were his favorite sunglasses. Monty growled, slowly lifting his head up, his red eyes burning with rage.

"Yer gonna pay for that, runt!" Monty snapped, his Southern accent slipping. Monty grabbed the Red Hat teenager by the front of his shirt and stood up to his full six and a half foot height. The teenager screamed in terror, his legs kicking the air. The other two teenagers stood frozen where they stood, staring up at their friend in horror.

Monty was not intending to hurt the kid, just to rough him up a bit. Scare him a little. The kid squirmed in his grip. Monty could feel his claws ripping through the kid's shirt as if the fabric was made of wet paper. Monty couldn't help but to grin at the teen's wide, fear filled eyes. It was days like this he wished he could have been a jumpscare animatronic at Fazbear Frights.

Before Monty could do anything, the teen lifted his metal golf club over his head and brought it down hard on Monty's snout again, right between the eyes. Monty roared a loud guttural roar, releasing the teen.

The kid fell to the ground on his rear end, then quickly scrambled to his feet, golf club raised high. He brought it down a few more times on Monty's arm as the gator tried shielding himself from the blows.

Monty lowered his arm and snapped his sharp teeth. The golf club got trapped in his jaws and snapped in two.

The kid threw one half of the golf club down and ran. The other two teens chucked their golf clubs at the down gator before running after their friend. All three screaming out the exit and away from Gator Golf.

Monty spat the other half of the broken golf club out of his mouth. Great. That's the third one he's accidentally broken this week. He winced from the sharp pains in his snout. It was the only area on his body with sensitive software, where he can actually feel things. Like the golf club.

Monty slowly got to his feet and checked the damage the brats left. A few scuffs, chipped paint, some dents...and a pair of broken sunglasses. Not too bad thankfully. He didn't have to go down to Parts and Service. He hated Parts and Service. He was very well known down there. None of the human mechanics liked him...and for good reason too.

Monty looked over to his right and saw the Chica plushie face down on the green pathway. Well...at least he got the plushie from the teens...

Monty picked up the broken sunglasses and tried putting them back on his snout. They were bent at odd angles and the center was snapped in half. He sighed and just lived with it.

Monty picked up the damp Chica plushie off the floor and limped his way back to the Daycare.

...

"Oh my stars! Oh my goodness gravy! What happened to you, Montgomery? Your glasses! Your arm!" Sundrop came rushing over to Monty when the gator entered the Daycare.

"It's not a big deal. I'm fine," Monty said, limping towards Ashley who was sitting at one of the tables in the snack area. She was wearing a pink shirt with Chica's face on the front, and light green shorts.

"Here you go, kiddo," Monty said, dropping the soaked Chica plushie in front of the little girl. Ashley gasped in surprise and hugged the misshapen plush against her chest happily. "Chica! You're ok!"

Monty didn't wait for a thank you from the little girl. He knew he would never receive one, so he started limping back towards the exit of the daycare. Just as he was, he felt something wrap around his legs from behind, nearly causing him to fall forward onto his face.

"What the-?" he started. He turned halfway and looked down. Ashley had her arms wrapped around his legs.

"Thank you for getting my Chica plushie back, Monty!" Ashley said happily. Before Monty could process what was happening, Ashley let go of him and ran back to the table where she was sitting and continued hugging her Chica plushie.

Monty stood there staring back at the girl. She thanked him for what he did...what was this feeling? He never felt like this before...it felt...nice. Monty felt the corners of his lips turning upright into a smile. He got a little one to like him. Monty turned back and continued heading back towards the exit.

The smile quickly disappeared when the sun animatronic suddenly stopped him in his tracks, thus blocking the exit. "We can't let you go looking like that! A hero deserves better," the sun animatronic stated. Monty sighed in annoyance. "I told you, I'm fine. Now get out of my way before I turn you into a can that holds crayons."

Sundrop didn't seem to hear him as he went up to the tall alligator, checking over the damage the three teenagers left on him. Monty tensed up when Sunny placed one of his thin hands on his broad chest.

"Oh dear...oh dear...May we?" he asked, pointing at Monty's broken glasses on his face. Monty narrowed his eyes. "May you what?" he snarled. Sundrop mimed fixing his star sunglasses. "Fix your sunglasses silly!"

Monty sighed and gave in. He leaned his head down slightly towards the sun animatronic's height. Sundrop reached up to Monty's face and gently lifted the broken sunglasses from his snout. He bent the pieces back. Then he pulled out a bottle of glitter glue from his pocket and began pouring the glitter glue on one of the broken ends. Monty's red eyes widened in shock.

"Wait! I didn't agree to glitter glue-!" he started, but it was too late. Sundrop pieced the two snapped ends together and held them in place and held them together for a few minutes.

"And done! Good as new!" Sundrop announced cheerfully as he gave the star shaped sunglasses back to the gator animatronic. Monty gave Sundrop a look before placing the star sunglasses back on his snout.

Surprisingly, the glitter glue actually held. It was stronger than Monty thought.

"I...thank you...Sundrop" Monty grumbled under his breath. No ones ever been kind like this to him before. Sundrop smiled happily up at the Glamrock gator. "You are very welcome, Montgomery! We mean Monty! We know those sunglasses are very important to you! Also you can call me Sunny! We prefer Sunny over Sundrop! If you find saying Sundrop is easier than saying Sunny than you can call me Sundrop instead. We just think that Sunny suits me better as a name and is not mistakened for the candy because sometimes the children ask for the candy and don't need me-" Sunny babbled on.

"Ok, Sunny! I'll call you Sunny," Monty quickly interrupted the sun animatronic's babbling. Sunny smiled up at Monty. "Sorry. We seem to babble a lot when we get excited or nervous. We are always with kids so we tend to speak at their pace. If we ever start babbling again, you can just interrupt me."

Monty nodded. "Noted...I better get going now...Thanks again..." he said as he straightened up and started heading out.

Sunny waves goodbye. "Come visit anytime, Monty!"

Monty found himself hesitating at the door. He turned around and glanced over at the sun animatronic. Sunny was already busy entertaining the kids with a song and a dance number on the mini stage. The kids laughed and clapped happily as they stood around him. Ashley was amongst them. Laughing and clapping along. Her Chica plushie in the crook of her arm.

Monty smiled a small smile, then left the Daycare and made his way to his room instead of the Gator Golf. He had enough golf for one day...

...

Hours passed by. Monty was called for one last performance on the big stage before the pizza plex closed for the day.

Monty kept glancing over in the direction of the daycare. He was wondering if Ashley found her parents yet. He wanted to go and check, but he didn't want to look like he was spending too much time over in the daycare. People...especially certain animatronics, will notice. Ashley will most likely forget all about Monty, but at this point, Monty didn't care. He just wanted to make sure she was ok.

Monty hesitated where he stood. He looked around. Freddy, Chica and Roxy were at the Exit with a bunch of the kids, taking last minute photos.

He decided this would be the best time to go back to the Daycare.

It takes Monty fifteen minutes to get to the Daycare. He found a shortcut. Monty stood near a column, fifteen feet away from the Daycare. The double doors were open and Sunny stood at the entrance, scanning each parent and their Daycare ID cards, making sure each child went home with the correct parent and not some stranger.

Monty saw Ashley standing next to Sunny. Her eyes and smile widen when she recognized her parents and went running up to them. All three embraced happily. Monty smiled. The same happy feeling came back to him. She found her parents.

Ashley stopped hugging her parents and glanced over towards Monty. She smiled happily and waved her arm wildly. He gave her a small wave back. Ashley's parents took her hands and started taking her towards the exit. She pulled out of their gentle grasp and came running up to Monty.

Monty's eyes widened in surprise when she came running up and wrapped her arms around his legs for a hug again. Monty hesitated where he stood. He didn't know what to do. He found himself looking over towards the daycare where the parents were watching him. His eyes met Sunny's. Sunny was smiling in admiration. Then he mimed going down on his knees and hugging the child back. Monty stood frozen for a minute, then he did just what Sunny did. He went down to Ashley's level and wrapped his arms around Ashley.

"Take care of yerself, kiddo...er...Ashley."

Ashley placed her arms around his neck. "Bye Monty! Thank you for helping me." Then she reached up and gave Monty a gentle kiss on the tip of his snout.

Monty could feel everyone's eyes on him. A few flashes from some cameras went off from the corners of his eyes but he didnt seem to notice them.

Ashley ran back to her parents and left with them. Monty slowly stood up and glanced over at the entrance of the Daycare. Sunny was still standing there, smiling his happy go lucky smile. Monty felt his servers heating up inside his system. Sunny motioned for him to come over to him. Monty did, feeling all his systems heating up, making it harder for him to function properly.

"That was a really sweet moment."

Monty shrugged, looking away. "Kids like me all the time," he said, crossing his arms over his broad yellow chest, pretending that nothing phased him.

Sunny smiled. "We're glad you decided to come back. We wanted to show you something that Ashley made while she was here." Sunny pulled out a piece of paper from behind his back and handed it to the Glamrock gator. Monty took it in his fingerless purple gloved hands and looked down at it.

It was a drawing of Monty and Ashley, colored in crayons. In the drawing, they were standing on a grassy hill surrounded by flowers and butterflies. Monty was super tall and green, with his wild red mohawk exploding out of his head. His eyes were two large stars. Ashley had her Chica plushie in one hand, while the other one held hands with Monty in the drawing.

"You can keep it," Sunny told him. Monty looked up at Sunny, holding the piece of paper close to him.

"I...I can?" he asked. Sunny nodded. "We think Ashley would have wanted you to keep it," Sunny said. Monty looked down at the drawing again.

"I've...I've never been given fan art before..." he admitted. Sunny comes up to Monty and gives him a pat on the shoulder, smiling his Happy Go Lucky smile. "What an exciting moment! I'm so happy for you! Hope you cherish this day!" Monty smiled a soft smile.

"Yeah...I will."

...

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria closed their doors for the day at around 8pm. Monty made his way back to his dark messy room. His eyes scan around the room.

Claw marks decorate the walls. As well as his couch which had pieces of fluff sticking out. His mirror at his dresser was shattered. The lights were off except for the green florescent lights in the image of lightning bolts and his face around the room. The only things that weren't torn to shreds were his Monty plushies that were in various places in the room.

Monty finds an unscratched area on the wall. He takes a Mr. Hippo magnet and sticks the drawing up on the metal wall above his couch. The two are smiling in the drawing. He smiles up at it as he sits on his claw marked couch. Then he grabs his guitar and begins to play a song.

...

To be continued...
