Chapter 9: The tournament begins
Well now I was roped into a very interesting thing. Order had just descended and told me that I should participate in an inter god tournament. Considering I have not fought against someone of equal power in a long time I was excited. But after I had time to relax and wait I had noticed the gravity of the situation. That and both Chaos and Calypso had not let me off the hook as soon as we headed to the prep area of the tournament. First was Calypso as she came over and smacked me over the head. The hit took me by surprise as she had a very mad expression on her face. "What the heck was that Percy you know that it is not good to play with stuff like that. If you lose at any point you die.after we just reunited and you go and do something as idiotic as this." She looks flustered as she takes a seat on a bench holding her head in her hands as Chaos comes over and just looks at me with a bit of sympathy. "Well Percy this is unexpected but remember that everyone will most likely be coming at you with everything they got. Order is really one to make sure that everything has balance and well order to it." I nodded as I went over and kissed Calypso forehead as I bowed to Chaos and smiled. "Well I do have your blessing already. And Nyx did give me a bit of her powers over darkness so I should be ok." I took my trusty sword riptide out as I twirled it. It had now become a bracelet as it expanded to its full size. The bronze color sparkles with the stars in it as I throw it in the air and catch It. Calypso looks over at Chaos as she looks at her questioningly "Sooooo lady Chaos I assume it is you that had something to do with Percy's change. You two do seem very close." It looked like Calypso was very jealous as she looked over at them seeing them look at each other. Chaos smirks as she wraps her arms around me and kisses my cheek. "Well of course I did. I helped him develop into the hero you see today. I mean I did spend a handful of months with him alone so I really got to know him personally." At this my face gets flushed as I can feel Chaos body is pressed up against mine as I just smile and say. "Yeah she did help me. But don't worry Calypso we will definitely have time to catch up and see the world together after the tournament ends." At this a loud bang sounds through the prep area as a voice speaks. "Round 1 of the tournament will commence can Percy please proceed to the main area please." At this I look at the two and smirk as as I head to the door and smile. "Well wish me luck ladies I can't wait to come back to you." With that I step out as the bright light shines. As I walk to the center I look to the opposite side and notice who my first opponent will be. I exclaim with a very much surprised look. "Really of everyone that could have been chosen to go first they chose you."
An hour before
All the gods had settled into the throne room as Calypso, Percy, and Chaos had left to get Percy ready. The main discussion started as they all looked at Order to further hear the rules of the tournament. "Well as you had heard there are some rules to the tournament that being that with each of your defeats you must give Percy your blessing and a second special gift. Well here is
where the twist comes in. All the males can choose something at random but the females will only get 2 choices that being to give themselves to Percy as one of his many brides to be, or to manifest something of his choosing that only you can do." At this most of the goddesses start to complain and argue about what this means and why they are to have that thrown at them. At this Zeus throws his lightning bolt and quiets everyone down as he looks at Order and asks. "Yes it is true why is that what they must give up." At this Order looks at them all as if they were all being dumb as he just smiles and says. "Well it's only fair considering that he is putting his life on the line. Like I told you all I am all for making everything fair and equal so I will compensate as I see fit. Unless the men also want the same thing we can easily have you guys become female as well if you'd like." At this the men just stay silent as the look away not wanting to say something wrong. Everyone just nods except for Artemis who stands up in protest as she is very much against this. "But sir some of us have sworn off men. What if we did not want to follow through. Or what if we don't even want to participate in the first place." At this Order looks at her firmly as he just smirks and lifts a finger to count down. "Well first of all. Whatever I say goes since I was the one who put him in this situation. Secondly the order has already been decided so no matter what everyone is joining in. And third it turns out Artemis you are thr first to go so I believe I will take my leave until the tournament begins." At this he just poofs away in a bright spray of black and white. At this Artemis stays still as no one tries to talk to her. They all knew that when she was mad she was nit to be toyed with. So many just flashed away as to get ready for this tournament. Little did they know a couple of Demigods had stayed and heard about what was to happen and one in particular was plotting a way to get herself involved by any means necessary.
Back at the arena
As the gate opens Artemis walks out in her armor with her bow over her shoulder as she stares down Percy. She knows that she might lose And that if she wins they may all be doomed but that doesn't mean she is going to go easy on him. She readies her hunters knife as she gets into the ready position and yells. "YOU BETTER BE READY JACKSON BECAUSE I WILL COME AT YOU WITH FULL FORCE." As the bell rings the match begins and everyone looks on with anticipation to see what kind of fight they will witness.
