Returning from his internship(and the bathroom), Mineta actually learned a lot about heroics and trained a lot with Phantom, so now, the shorter teen was prepared for anything. Or so he thought.
...
"Mineta-kun! I have been waiting for you to arrive so I can ask you about your quirk!" Midoriya shouted as he almost ran to Mineta while carrying one of his hero notebooks.
"Oh? I didn't do anything special." Mineta said, rubbing the back of his head while sitting in his desk.
"Mineta-san, please. Don't be so humble. You practically outshone moi and the sun last night." Aoyama said, looking at Mineta.
"Yeah bro! It's all over the news!" Kaminari interjected.
"I'M HERE LIKE YOU'RE AVERAGE PERSON!" a familiar voice boomed, snapping the class out of their conversation as the arrival of All Might officially started Foundational Hero Studies.
"Since today, you're officially back from your internships, I decided to test your skills, old and new, with," All Might held a pause as he pulled out a paper that read 'Maze Escape'.
"Maze Escape! I'll explain more once we meet in Training Grounds Gamma." All Might spoke, ending with opening the classroom's side wall that dispensed their hero costumes.

As Mineta stood in Gamma with the rest of his classmates, he decided to test out his helmet's Environment Sensor and Informatics System , or E.S.I.S. for short.
Rembering that Hatsume told him that the system would turn on after pressing a button on the side of it. However, Mineta didn't get a chance to as he was approached by Kirishima.
"Hey, Mineta. I love what you did with your hero costume! It looks so manly!" Kirishima exclaimed as he smiled at Mineta.
"Thanks, man. I really appreciate it." Mineta replied before All Might began speaking while Cementoss began building something with the concrete.
"As Cementoss prepares the maze, allow me to explain." All Might started.
"We'll draw lots to split you all up into four teams. You will all go through the maze simultaneously with the sole goal of having your team reach its center first. While in the maze, you are free to use your quirks as you see fit. Also, if even one member of your team makes it to the center, you all win. There will be obstacles. The closer to the center your team is, the more dangerous the obstacles. But above all else, no reaching the top of the maze. If you do so, your team will be reprimanded." All Might finished as Cementoss finished up.
After drawing lots, he found out that he was on team D with Shoji, Jirou, Kouda, and Yaoyorozu. And after some prep time, team D was ready!
A buzzer sounded, signaling the four teams that the challenge began. The first thing that Mineta did was turn his arms into vines and spread them out.
Before any of his teammates could question him, Mineta fired a singular sandbox tree seed capsule down a pathway. The sounds of it exploding bounced off the Maze's walls like an echo.
"Follow me." Mineta said as he fired a second seed capsule, this one going down a different pathway.
"You're using echolocation?" Kouda asked Mineta, his curiosity overcoming his shyness.
Mineta only responded with a nod as he fired another seed capsule, running towards the path he fired it down. As time went on, team D made amazing headway.
Until now.
"Ah, team D. You're the first team to make it into the inner ring. Bravo on making it this far, but I'm afraid I must end your progress." A mysterious and deep voice spoke, as a man that no one recognized walked out from behind a nearby corner.
"Who are you?" Mineta asked as his eyes examined the man.
The man seemed quite tall. His schelara were a navy blue while his irises were a whitish blue. Although he did have a tan skin color, his skin was dotted with clumps of navy blue scales. The man even wore a very nice and seemingly expensive suit despite both the long thick navy blue scale covered tail lightly swaying from in between his legs, and the line of weird shaped gray spines running along his back from the tip of his tail to the base of his neck.
Zairo Kaijin, his quirk; Titan. This monsterous lookin dude shares a moveset with the American pop culture icon, Godzilla, specifically the big man's Monsterverse incarnation! He's also UA's Head of Security!
"You'll find out after you five get past me." Zairo spoke before the spine on the tip of his tail began glowing whitish blue before the glow started to spread from spine to spine.
As the glow grew closer to Zairo's head, he reared his head while his mouth hung open. But right as the glow reached the final spine, it vanished as Zairo lurched his head forward, a large beam of whitish blue energy firing out.
The attack missed Shoji but barely as the octo teen narrowly dodged it. The beam continued its path, hitting the wall behind team D. The beam lingered for a few seconds before Zairo closed his mouth, which caused the beam to stop and fizzle out.
Team D looked back at where on the wall the beam it, only for their mouths to practically hit the ground in shock.
The location of where the beam struck was where a large hole had been made, the concrete around the hole was burning orange hot as the metal rebar that was in the concrete began melting from the residual heat of the blast.
Team D's gaze snapped back to Zairo, the man's smirk showing off his sharp teeth. Before the man then leapt at team D with his tail poised and ready to slam into where they stood.
But as Zairo was mid-air, Mineta's vines began digging into the ground and Mineta spoke.
"Continue moving through the maze! I'll keep him focused on me!" Mineta shouted to his teammates, before the ground below Zairo cracked.
Before a Redwood tree began growing beneath the monsterous member of UA's faculty.
