After a few days of living at Heights Alliance, most of Class 1-A were already starting to find their sleep schedules synchronizing, some waking up earlier than normal, others later than normal.

Currently, everyone was having breakfast together. The Arctic Queen fridge was already stocked with ingredients for breakfast items, despite no one doing any shopping.

"Talk about the perfect cost-cutting measure," Hilda noted as she got some eggs, bacon, and frozen waffles.

"Say, Penny, how are you able to eat? What with you being a robot and all." Denki asked, only to get elbowed by Kyouka.

Penny blushed. "Well, my father built me with the ability to convert anything I consume into bio-fuel to help keep my energy tanks filled."

"Everyone's growing stronger so fast. It won't be long before we're ready to test for our hero licenses." Izuku noted.

"Aww yeah! I'm pumped!" Eijirou cheered.

"Bring it on!" Kirby exclaimed, having inhaled a literal mountain of food in seconds.

"As I've said before, your goal over the course of this summer is to train for the Provisional License Exam. This is something you can't take lightly." Aizawa announced to his class as soon as they were seated. "Yes, the license grants you a number of privileges, including permission to openly use your Quirks in public. But there's also a great deal of responsibility that comes with those privileges. Once you obtain your license, you're responsible for human lives. Make sure to keep that in mind."

"YES, SIR!" The class replied as one.

"You've already made vast improvements in both your Quirks and your athletic prowess. I don't say this often, but you've all managed to impress me. This is honestly the longest I've gone without expelling at least one student." Aizawa continued. "So don't let your guard down now. I'd like to see if I can maintain a full class for a whole three years. That said, the exam is going to be the most difficult thing you've ever encountered, and that includes the impromptu villain fights you've experienced. Only 50% of students pass the test required for these permits each year."

"Let's hope we're on the lucky side of that coin flip..." Ben muttered.

"Sir, if I may ask a question," Tenya said, his hand raised. "Is it normal for first-year students to be taking the exam?"

Aizawa shook his head. "Not at all. But this year's class presents some irregularities. Not only are both your class and Class 1-B stronger than in previous years, but after the Kamino Incident the public is clamoring for more Pro Heroes to be out on the streets, concerned that there may be a rise in new villains. Normally you wouldn't be taking the exam until your second year, but these aren't normal times."

"Yeah, things really haven't been normal since we started here," Kirby admitted.

"Speaking of which, in order to better prepare you for the exam, you'll be developing something new to give you an edge," Aizawa smirked. "You'll be learning how to craft your own ultimate moves."

At that last statement, the door opened up to reveal Midnight, Cementoss, and Ectoplasm.

The students all began to cheer in excitement at this before Aizawa had them change into their Hero Costumes and meet up at Gym Gamma, otherwise known as 'Training Dining Land', or TDL for short. It was designed by Cementoss to be able to provide unique terrain for training.

"For the remaining days of summer break, you'll all be developing your ultimate moves as well as your Quirks," Aizawa explained. This will be an intensive boot camp for you all! In addition, consider how you can improve your costumes to work better with your developing Quirks. Get through this with a 'Plus Ultra' mentality. Are you all ready?"

"YES, SIR!"

"Looks like everyone's working hard." Toshinori noted as he and Tsunade entered the gym.

True to his words, the students were making impressive headway in developing their Ultimate Moves. Tenya and Oujiro doing physical training, Mina was finding better ways to create her acid while increasing its potency and Momo created multiple items at once to decrease the time it takes as well as decrease the lipids it requires.

"Say, where are Izuku and Hilda?" Tsunade asked, looking around.

"Yasakani is doing Sumo Training in a sealed concrete ring." Aizawa explained. "As for Midoriya..."

Izuku was practicing different mix-and-match combinations with his Devil Fruits. Since he was limited to one Paramecia, Zoan, and Logia individually at a time, he was coming up with all sorts of crazy abilities on the fly. Ben was helping him, combining his elements to create brand new ones he never thought possible.

"It's like those two are Shonen Rivals are something." Tsunade laughed, enjoying the sight.

Izuku and Hilda headed over to the Support Course's development lab. Earlier Hilda had sent over the Full Gauntlet that Melissa had gifted to her, hoping it could somehow be duplicated for both arms.

"Hey, Deku! Hilda-Chan!" Ochako called out, Tenya calling after her to not run in the halls. "You're here for costume improvements too!"

Just as Izuku was about to respond while opening the door, he was greeted with an explosion as well as something slamming into him.

"I'm okay!"

"Dammit Hatsume! You really shouldn't think of putting everything you think together!" Power Loader's voice was heard barking in frustration as the Excavation Hero stepped out into the hallway.

"Failure is the mother of invention, you know!"

"Yeah, Hatsume, we know."

Izuku found himself buried under Fio's big plump body, the girl noticed she was on top of him and quickly jumped off, her chubby cheeks blushing in embarrassment as Mei slid off her back, laughing before noticing everyone.

"Oh, hey guys! Let me guess, don't tell me! You're all here for costume upgrades, right? Power Loader-Sensei already got the deets from Eraserhead."

"Oh, we were wondering when you were gonna show up, Hilda!" Fio smiled when she recognized her fellow big girl. "Come on inside!"

The group went inside, Mei already excited to showcase all her 'babies' to the others.

"The real work was with that gauntlet you sent in, Yasakani. I don't know who made it for you, but they're an absolute genius. I need to step up my game if I want my super cute babies to even come close."

"It took us all month just to understand it," Fio admitted. "But once we figured it out, we weren't just able to make a second one for your off-hand, but we used the design to make special leggings as well."

"Wow, Melissa would be impressed," Ochako said.

"Honestly, I'm grateful for Fio. She's been able to keep Hatsume's eccentric tinkering in check for the most part. Keep her on task." Power Loader said.

Tenya tried to slide over to Power Loader without drawing attention to himself, whispering his request to him, only for Mei's sharp but selective hearing to pick up on it.

"Hey, Iida-Baby! Check this out!"

Before Tenya could protest, she attached a set of engine boosters to both his legs and his arms.

"The legs should help with your internal radiator! As for the arms, well, I figured it'd be nice to have something dedicated to your Big Bro, don't you think?"

"Uh, what's all this?" Hilda asked, looking at a massive pile of tech in the corner.

"Those are all Hatsume's inventions. Everything she's made since the school year started." Power Loader explained.

"If Mei has any strong points, it's that she's unafraid of failure. If something she makes doesn't work, she takes it as a learning experience and tries to figure out what went wrong." Fio smiled.

The days continued as the students worked to perfect their ultimate moves and improve their costumes. Katsuki had swapped out his larger gauntlets for smaller, four-barreled ones. Minoru swapped out his diaper-like bottom for a small utility belt and swapped his cape out for one that could be removed if it got snagged. Kyouka got a set of speakers on her gloves, designed to help with her ultimate move idea, and Kouji got a protective mouth guard to better amplify his voice when using his Quirk

Fumikage was currently demonstrating his new ultimate move, having Dark Shadow cover his body to increase his strength.

"ABYSSAL BLACK BODY!"

"Yeah, baby!" Ben grinned as he coated himself in armor made of the stray bits of concrete that had been destroyed in the training and charged at Fumikage, the two trading blows with each other.

"I kinda feel sorry for the others schools," Aizawa said. "I did tell the students about the traditional 'UA Crush' that happens every license exam."

Toshinori chuckled. "But from what I'm seeing, it looks like the crushing is gonna backfire on everyone stupid enough to try ganging up on our kids."

As they continued to watch the students do their best, Toshinori looked at the ring now on his finger.

"Before long, the Symbol of Peace will have to pull back from the world. When that happens, it's likely to embolden a number of villain groups that used to fear my strength and determination. But there's no need to worry. We have a promising group of young heroes right in front of us."

"Looks like everyone's working to improve however they can."

Izuku said this as he took notice of many of the costume changes his friends had developed especially the likes of Shoto, Eijirou, and Denki.

"Yeah, you're gonna need it."

Hearing Hitoshi's voice, the group turned to see Class 1-B, along with Vlad King and Himiko, entering the gym.

"Why is Toga here? Is she staying in the dorms as well?" Kirby wondered.

"I was told about how her Quirk awakened during the Camp Attack." Vlad King explained. "So I spoke with the Hero Committee, and they gave permission for her to take the exam with everyone else."

"She'll likely be taking the exam with Class 1-B," Aizawa noted. "The exam is held in three different locations at the same time, and each school can only send one Hero Course class to a single location."

"That's a shame. I kinda wanted to see how our classes stack up to each other now." Itsuka said.

"That's going to make things difficult. We have no idea what the students in the other hero schools are capable of." Penny noted.

"Yeah, but we've been training to beat unknown odds this whole time," Minoru pointed out. "That's the point of being a hero, right?"

"When Mineta is the one saying that..." Momo muttered.

"Kick lots of arse for us, Izu!" Nia said, slapping Izuku on the back as he noticed Hitoshi looking nervous.

"This is Shinso's chance to become a hero like he always wanted, which would prove those who thought his Quirk more suited to a villain wrong."

"Each exam only lasts one day. Held twice a year in both June and September, coinciding with school semesters. Only 50% of all students who take the exam pass." Ben noted.

"Dude, never tell me the odds. There's a chance none of us will pass." Eijirou muttered.

"On the other hand, there's a chance all of us will pass. Especially given the large number of students taking the exam." Shoto pointed out.

"Just keep in mind many of the other students have been training longer than you have. Plus there's no telling what the exam will entail. It's different every time, in order to ensure that no one can pass tips or hints to younger students." Aizawa warned. "Rest assured, though, it will be a rough time. That said, while the other students have been training longer, you've been training harder. That's something to keep in mind going forward."

Mina took her favorite garlic lovers pizza out of the Infinite Pizza Box and dug into a slice as everyone recuperated from their training in the main lounge.

"We're certainly coming a long way-Gero. I've already managed to find my ultimate move." Tsuyu noted as she ate some SFX Cookies from the Pan-Dimensional Vending Machine, the cookies making sound effects based on the words they were shaped after with each bite.

"Same here. I had to build up my body to accomplish it, but it was well worth it." Momo said as she helped herself to a bowl from the Infinite Pasta Pot.

"I can tell. You're ten pounds larger than last time." Hilda giggled playfully, poking Momo's doughy belly, making her blush. "Then again, who am I to talk, right?"

"I've been working on improving my heart rate for my ultimate move. And thanks to my new gloves, I think I can pull it off." Kyouka said.

"Let's make sure to tank up for the night," Kirby said, closing the Infinite Pizza Box to reset it, creating a meat lover pizza for herself. "The exam is in one week, and we need to be at our absolute best."

"Word on that!" Ben said, having poured himself a cup of Dr. Pepper from the Coffee Machine.

The students of Class 1-A arrived at Dagabo National Stadium via bus, most of them slightly nervous.

"This is it, you guys. Here we have our chance to become real heroes." Izuku said.

"Never thought we'd get the chance so quickly. It's honestly kinda scary." Oujiro admitted.

Katsuki smirked. "We got this in the bag. This is our origin story, and anyone who can't pass is just a lame-ass coattail-riding extra!"

"Just hearing that gets me pumped for this!" Tooru said excitedly, "Let's get out there and prove we deserve to become heroes!"

"Let's do this, guys!" Eijirou called out. "On my mark! Plus..."

"ULTRA!"

The class suddenly realized there was one additional voice in the group and looked at the new face. He was a young man with a buzzcut and was very tall and well-built for his age.

"It's rude to barge into other people's huddles like that, Inasa," Said another young man, this one with violet hair.

"Pardon me!" The boy known as Inasa apologized, bowing so hard his head hit the ground, leaving a small crater on impact.

"Oh! I recognize you!" Penny chirped. "You're Inasa Yoarashi, you were at the UA Recommendation Exam, weren't you!"

"That's right, he actually placed second behind Penny." Momo noted. "However, he turned down his application and went to Shiketsu High instead."

"Shiketsu?" Kirby asked.

"It's Kansei's answer to Kanto's UA High," Tenya explained. "As far as hero schools are concerned, Shiketsu is considered just as famous as UA."

"I wanted to say it just once! See, I really love UA High! I'm extremely honored to compete against such valiant heroes-in-training!" Inasa said as he rose back up, his forehead bleeding from slamming into the ground.

"Careful, Ina-Baby," A girl with fawn-colored hair and a beret with pouted lips said. "I think you've started to bleed from the head."

"Wait, back up a little bit. Why did Inasa turn down his application to UA?" Hilda asked in confusion.

Aizawa just shrugged. "Hell if I know. Since he turned it down, Setsuna Tokage of Class 1-B was the one who got his Recommendation instead."

"If he's our age, then his whole class from Shiketsu is also made up of first-years," Ben noted.

Aizawa shook his head. "He's something of an outlier. The rest of this class is made up of second-years. Yoarashi is just that strong."

"Hey, Shota-Baby!"

"Oh god, why her...?" The Erasure Hero groaned with a comical look of terror on his face.

Approaching the group was a woman about Aizawa's age with bright green hair that came down her shoulders.

"I saw you on TV at the Sports Festival! Your class did amazing!"

"Hey, I know her! It's The Smile Hero: Ms. Joke!" Hilda exclaimed. "Her Quirk is [Outburst], which can let her make those around her laugh uncontrollably by the aura she projects."

"So you two know each other?" Tsuyu asked Aizawa, who only grumbled.

"We're dating..." He said as if it was a terrible curse. "Since our agencies are so close together, and we both happen to be Underground Heroes, we started seeing each other a lot."

"Oh come on, Shota-Baby! I've known you long enough that you love having me around!" Ms. Joke giggled.

Aizawa rolled his eyes but didn't say anything to deny it. "Speaking of which, if you're here then your class must be here as well."

Sure enough, a group of students was approaching, led by a young man with short black hair.

"Wow, so this is Class 1-A."

"This is so cool!" Said a young woman with short blonde hair tied up in spiky pigtails. "I've seen them on TV plenty of times."

"These are my kids! Class 2-A of Ketsubetsu High!" Miss Joke said proudly.

The black-haired student approached Izuku. "Hey, you're Midoriya, right? I'm Yo Shindo. I heard UA's been having some trouble this year. Must have been hard."

Katsuki scoffed as he pushed him away from his rival. "If you're planning on being a hero, you should make sure your personality is as pretty as your face. I can already tell from the look in your eyes that your thoughts don't match your words, shithead."

"Bakugou, a little on the nose, don't you think?" Momo sighed, though she could actually understand his words.

On the other hand, the blonde girl, Tatami Nakagame's aura of niceness seemed genuine, even asking some of Class 1-A for their autographs.

"Alright, you can gladhand later. Get your costumes and head for orientation." Aizawa barked out as his students immediately did so.

"So, Shota," Emi asked, "How many students did you have to trade out so far?"

"Surprisingly, none," Aizawa replied, shocking his girlfriend, "Each of those kids has proven they're serious about becoming real heroes, even Mineta. And they're strong, having put through a lot of training after the USJ Incident to make sure they aren't caught off-guard a second time."

"Well, that cute little nephew of yours is part of them, so I guess he also made sure they were prepared for your hazing." Miss Joke smirked.

"Ben may not be related to me, Nemuri, or Hizashi by blood, but he's still family," Aizawa said with a hint of fondness. "And he's a precocious brat as well."

"Did you warn them about...?"

Aizawa smirked. "I did, but they don't know when it's gonna happen. I only mentioned it in passing but made sure to focus on the exam itself. That way, they'll be ready when it comes just by instinct but will be more focused on earning their licenses."

Meanwhile, inside their new hideout, Tomura was going over what they had regarding team members when Magne and Micha came in.

"Hey, Tomura-Chi!" Micha chirped, her clawed hands spinning as if disconnected from the wrists. "The Provisional License Exam is starting soon!"

"Should we send maybe Parten or Scarepion to cause some havoc and terror?" Magne suggested.

Tomura shook his head. "No, that would only provide minor benefit. If we make a move to attack, then it would likely band all the hero schools together. Not to mention, how many students do you think we could prevent from getting their hero licenses at maximum?"

"Aww, poo! I wanted to burn some stuff to the ground!" Micha pouted but she and Magne realized Tomura's point.

"That being said..." August said as he stepped in, forming a window with the Space Link. "We can still watch over our opponents' progress, see how much they've grown since our last encounter and plan accordingly."

"I'm gonna need more popcorn~!" Batman Who Laughs sang as he skipped merrily by.
