POV: Cole

It was the dead of night. They were waiting at the front of the monastery, waiting for Mazikeen to show up. He had called them 2 days after the… incident. He said he knew Jay and thought something was wrong. He said Jay didn't remember attacking the monastery, and since he sounded really serious, they had to take him seriously. Right now, They all had mixed feelings about the fact that Jay had tried to blow them up, and was coming back to meet them.

Kai just wanted to kill him, but Cole knew he was really just sad.

Lloyd wanted to give him another chance, but didn't know if he could ever trust him again.

Zane was always calculating the odds of Jay betraying us again the moment he got there, but didn't seem to know if it was really true.

Arin was a little traumatized, but he was willing to forgive and forget.

Sora didn't believe they could ever trust him, so she and Ryue stayed hidden.

Wyldefire wanted to see what happened, so she was there.

Nya… he was sure she had too many feelings about this. Anger. Sadness. She didn't know if things could ever go back to the way they were, and was afraid Jay wouldn't love her like he did before.

Cole, just didn't. He had too many feelings. He wanted to punch Jay in the gut, and at the same time wanted to hug him and cry. He wanted to apologize. He wanted Jay to know that he was sorry for being a bad friend.

He wanted Jay to forgive him.

POV: Zane

This can't be right. Jay would never do this to us. He was a loyal friend, and would never betray them. Not a second time.

According to his calculations, there was a 70% chance that Jay would betray them again.

But he wouldn't give up on Jay.

POV: Kai

Kai was ashamed of himself. He bullied him, and was such a jerk.

He didn't think Jay could ever forgive him.

Maybe if he begged him for forgiveness, he would give it to him.

POV: Lloyd

He could hardly breathe. The pressure was suffocating him.

Everyone seemed to be depending on him to convince Jay to come back to the team and that they were sorry.

But he didn't know if their apologies would be enough, considering all the rude things they had done to him.

Would they ever get their brother back?

POV: Beth

She was going to leave.

She couldn't bear to see Jay again. Not after what happened.

She trusted the ninja to return Jay to his past and first self, but she also knew that if they did, he would choose to stay with Nya.

She would return to the Administration to complete something.

To do something she should have done long ago.

Give Jay his freedom.

And to do that, she had to destroy the Administrator.

POV: Mazikeen

He had convinced Jay to come with him, unarmed, and so they were now looking through the portal, wondering what would happen on the other side.

It probably wasn't going to be good.

POV: Nya

She knew Jay betrayed them. Kai was there to remind her.

And the ashes of the monastery.

But she wouldn't give up on him, because he never gave up on her.

The first thing she would do when she saw him was… she didn't know.

She would follow her heart.

(A bit later)

A portal opened, and she became overwhelmed with fear.

She didn't know what she would say to him.

Did he still hate her? What if he didn't love her anymore.

A little kid stepped through. His hands were glowing bright purple, and the first thing he did was say,

"I am Mazikeen. Your friend is on the other side of this portal, and he will step through when I tell him to. I want you to know, I could destroy you with one touch, so don't try me."

Lloyd stepped forward, and agreed.

Nya could see Lloyds stress in his eyes.

He thinks this is all his fault, she thought.

Mazikeen jumped into the portal, and came out with Jay.

As soon as he looked at her, she burst into tears and ran to give him a hug.

She knew he was shocked, but she didn't expect what happened next.

POV: Jay

He stepped through the portal, and saw a beautiful girl with black hair. She had teary eyes, and ran at him.

She embraced him, and in that moment, his mind was flooded with memories.

Her name is Nya. You know her.

He remembered her.

He hugged her back, and let her cry in his arms.

"I'm sorry." She sobbed.

He whispered in her ear, "I remember you. I should be the one apologizing."

She pulled away, and smiled at him.

Next there was a green one.

He walked over, and hugged him too.

He remembered him too.

This is Lloyd. He is your friend.

"I… don't know what to say." He stuttered.

"How about 'welcome back'?" Jay laughed.

Lloyd released him and laughed too.

The white one walked up, and said, "I didn't think you would come back, but you have beaten the odds once again, friend."

They embraced each other, and something in his mind said, this is Zane. He is your friend as well.

The black one limped over to him, and said, "Y'know, right when I met you, I should have known you'd do something like this."

This is Cole. He is your best friend.

"Sure blame the victim." Jay laughed.

They hugged and Cole apologized.

Jay apologized too.

Suddenly, 3 people and a dragon appeared in front of him.

The yellow orange one said, "I'm a huge fan! I'm so glad to have you on the team! I'm Arin by the way."

The pink haired one said, "I'm Sora."

The red haired one said, "I'm Wyldefire, and I'm not going to apologize for anything."

"Um… OK. Nice to meet you." he said.

Then the last of the group walked over and moved the three out the way.

He knelt down, and begged. He was crying.

"I'm sorry. Forgive me. I'm begging you."

This is Kai. Nya's brother. He is your friend.

Jay said, "Kai, stand up."

He did.

Jay hugged him.

"I forgive you."

Kai continued to cry, and hugged him back.

They had fun for the next couple of days, repairing the monastery, and eating Arin's pies.

They were free,

All of them.
