RELOADED CHAPTERS TO UNBOLD THE STORY... HOPE IT HELPS! PLEASE REVIEW.
I stare pass the gun that's aimed at my head. Looking into the black eyes staring back at me. The black eyes filled with hurt and hate. Hate that could probably tear down a dynasty. Considering how old he is, they probably have. I try to look deep into the black eyes, try to see if there's any more humanity in them. See if his soul is still there. But all I see is black. Black eyes that are normally a gold shade like hers. Not exactly like hers thought. Hers hold more warmth, more love, more humanity, and her soul. Her, the woman at the heart of this situation. I guess I should start from the beginning. The path that leads to this…
My name is Isabella Swan but by all means, call me Bella. I live in Forks, Washington. Nothing major happens here, at least until now. No matter what though, Folks is and will always be home. My dad, Charlie, is the chief of police. He's not the type to show feelings but he's pretty great. My mom passed away 4 years ago; she had been sick for a long time. While I'm glad she's no longer in pain, my dad now is. Still to this very day I see the pain in his eyes whenever she's brought up. He was a shell for months after her death. Billy had to come yank him out of bed and remind him that he still had a 13-year-old daughter and a town to look out for. It hurt me a lot when she passed away but what could any of us do. Cancer is a bitch. She was my best friend. The woman who taught me everything I know, book wise. I was grateful Billy came to smack him back to reality though. Eating grilled sandwiches was getting played out. I still cannot stomach another one till this day.
Billy is his best friend. He's also my brother's dad. They live down on the Res, that's where Charlie's family is from. My mom moved here after college. Why? I have no fucking idea. But I'm glad she did. Their love story is probably the typical small town love story. She was working at a cafe across the street from the police station, where he was training to be a cop for the Res. He hates tuna but he was there every day for her special tuna sandwich and coffee. He finally got the courage to ask her out one day. They fall in love, she said I do, he bought a house in town and 4 months later I was born. They swore that they waited till the wedding night to have sex, but considering I was born less than 6 months after. Their math wasn't adding up. Anyways, technically, Jacob is not my brother but being the same age, raised by 2 best friends and always being together on the Res when our dads went fishing or here in town when our moms cooked dinner…. He's, my brother. Besides we made the whole cutting the hand blood pack years ago. You can't go back once you make the blood pack.
Visiting the Res and having a brother living there, I heard all the folklore. The battles between the cold ones and the wolfs. How vampires came a long time ago and murdered half of the tribe. How the tribe men became wolves to fight and kill them. This was hundreds of hundreds of years ago though. Apparently, the last set of wolves died out with my great great grandfather. Charlie calls it hoopla. He said until he sees it with his own eyes, he won't believe in the stories. Billy says to always believe and be on the look out for the cold ones. That they will come back one day and no one is safe. When I was little the stories use to scare me. Now they just intrigue me. I would pay millions to see a giant wolf. Maybe throw it a stick and see if it will bring it back.
Now that you have the back story…
