Author's Note: Behold, a reboot of my very own movie story - Joshua Sumter: The Movie!

As some of you remembered, I once wrote my old movie story, the version 1.0 that involved conthauberger's Toontopia project. But I decided to press the reboot/restart button (and trim some worlds down a bit) for a new and better original storyline of multiversal proportions like no other, thanks to the inspiration from...

- Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom (2012-2021)
- Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions (2010)
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Cosmic Shake (2023)
- My Little Pony: The Manga - A Day in the Life of Equestria Vol. 3 that revolves around racing through space and time on a super-exciting cosmic scavenger hunt through the Ponyverse
- The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)
- Powerpuff Girls: Super Smash-Up mini-series comic
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse (Under the trope of 'Fish out of Temporal Water', 'In the Past, Everyone Will Be Famous', etc., etc.)
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order (2019)
- Fantasmic! show from Disney Hollywood Studios
- Marvel "Heroes Unite" show on Marvel Day at Sea aboard the Disney Dream Cruise that revolves around the Ultimate Multiverser to experience infinite multiverses
- Avengers Campus' Multiverse attraction, based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga, that is coming soon.
- The Pagemaster (1994)
- Spider-Verse: Spider-Zero (Spider-Verse (2019) #1-6) where Miles Morales finds himself at the center of a multiversal adventure.
- The Once Upon A Studio (2023) crossover anniversary short for 100 years of Disney.

Let's just say my self-insert, big-screen adventure of such 'multiversal' appeal would be like an expanded version of "Once Upon a Studio" that is similar to The Spider-Verse involving the worlds of Disney movies since the obsession with the multiverse. I know it's not much, but it's only just for fun.

Here's a list of worlds of iconic Disney movies that I'll be covering soon...
*The Little Mermaid (1989)
*Beauty and the Beast (1991)
*Aladdin (1992)
*Hercules (1997)
*The Emperor's New Groove (2000)
*The Princess and the Frog (2009)
*Tangled (2010)
*Frozen II (2019)
*Moana (2016)
*Wish (2023)

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this reboot of my old fanfic. With all settled, enjoy the prologue!

Once upon a time, in the farthest reaches of many universes heretofore unseen by the human eye and parallel to our own, there was a magical one unlike any other, full of magic and wonder, made of enchanted kingdoms and worlds from the stories you're familiar with. And at its center was a magical kingdom, a beloved destination for folks of all ages and a place where happiness, laughter, and joy flourished. So much so that characters journeyed far and wide to witness the glory and magic, with the morning sun rising as it did every morning.

But today was no ordinary day because the characters were gathered together – from heroes to sidekicks, from heroines to princesses – to honor and celebrate their centennial (That means 100th) anniversary of magic and wonder.

For more than 100 years from now, the magic of Walt Disney himself has given us beloved classics and timeless moments that we will never forget. All the talented artists and beautiful characters have been a part of history over the years, and our passion has been storytelling from one generation to the next. These greatest stories live on forever, thanks to the many generations of fans, followers, and brilliant storytellers who made Disney a part of our lives.

And all that magic and wonder led to – and powered by – the legendary Wishing Star that's been making the dreams of Disney characters come true for more than 100 years, making it the most prominent, brightest star in the Disney universe.

The Magic Kingdom was festive as everyone gathered for the anniversary, the biggest shindig to ever hit the kingdom. Everyone was dying to see the Wishing Star on this magical day, and everything went as planned.

Well, almost.

Soon, the magic of the Wishing Star drew the ire of frightening forces that are work – those who favored sadness over joy, destruction over fun, and darkness over light – ready to wreak havoc with our existence and their own.

Powerful dark forces are after the magic of the Wishing Star, but the star splits its power into pieces to make sure those dark forces can't get their hands on it. Also, those pieces are now fragmented across time and space as they have landed in the worlds of their beloved stories.

And that was the day the Wishing Star was scattered to the far corners of the Disney universe, and the Magic Kingdom lost its beauty, magic, and wonder.

But there's more to the story. As one particular piece of the Wishing Star was driven farther and farther away from the magic of the Disney universe, it became a shooting star until it reached the one world, waiting for someone to find it – OURS!

And that's where I came in. I'm Joshua Sumter, and I will regale you with my big, epic, insanely awesome big-screen story of how I single-handedly conducted an epic multiversal adventure, journeying through the stories and across worlds…and how I helped save the Disney universe.

Falling through the mysterious yet beautiful blue sky unconscious, I nearly woke up surrounded by sparkly dust floating everywhere as it stopped my fall. The sparkly dust landed all over me, and at that moment, my skin, clothes, and even my entire body began changing, as if I was expanding – going from my real-world, live-action self to…something traditionally animated.

Once the sparkly dust was gone, I began falling again.

"NOOOO!" I screamed as I landed very hard on the ground with my head. Then, a moment later, I pulled my head out of the ground, gasping for air.

"What the heck is going on?" I asked as I got up on my two feet. "Ugh… I landed on my face…? Ugh… Oh god, I've never felt this pain before…right?"

I sighed while looking around. Then, suddenly, I noticed a blue shard-like piece nearby lying on the ground and picked it up.

"…How did this happen?" I asked myself, muttering. "How did I even get to…wherever 'here' is?"

I woke up to find myself in some forest and looked around in either confusion or wonder. Not only that but my whole live-action, real-world appearance is gone and replaced with a cartoon version. Seriously, how did I get here?

I began to ponder a bit, trying to remember while catching a glimpse of my new body. "Hmm, I was just in the middle of watching TV in my room, and then…hrmhrmmm…"

Oh, yeah! I think I remember.

I was calling it a day that night as I grabbed some drinks and snacks from my mancave for TV time. But then, just when I thought I could finally relax, something caught my attention…

I looked outside the window and saw some shooting star that flashed with its blinding burst of magical light that swept across the world. But then, it landed straight in the front yard. As I went outside to pick up what it was, it turned into a weird, glowing blue shard.

Well, whatever it was, I found it fair and square. Finders keepers!

Just then, everything around me changed, and the scenery suddenly vanished. Before I knew it, I was hurled out of my house and into the sky, above the clouds. I screamed as I could see the whole planet and the atmosphere against the infinite, beautiful view of space.

Suddenly, the weird blue shard started glowing again, driving me farther away from Earth and the whole universe…

"Oh, man! Now I remember…," I groaned as I shook my head and looked at the blue shard that brought me to whatever this place was, remembering the experience of being transported away.

"Man, I swear, who would've thought that a shooting star from the cosmos turned out to be some weird blue rock that landed on my turf and right in the front yard could backfire?" I continued. "I mean, talk about unforeseeable."

Wait a second! Everything around me is a cartoon!

If I were a cartoon, I'd be able to do cool stuff like…

Oh, double wait… I AM a cartoon! That's probably why I've been feeling so…2D or 3D/CGI lately?

UGGGHHH… It wasn't supposed to be like this. One minute, I had the whole house to myself, and the next thing I knew, I found some weird glowing rock that landed outside, and then – BOOM! – I disappeared from my home world and somehow reappeared in another world as a cartoon.

Yeah, that's right – I'm in another world, another universe… As in, not our world and universe, the one you and I call home. I'm in a different world than the other world I was in a few moments ago.

I had many plans, like checking out social media, shopping online, writing fanfic stories, and lots of surprises, too… What a shame (and a waste).

"Anyway, I better not let my guard down for now," I said. "I'm a stranger in a strange, animated land, and that can't be good. I gotta get to the bottom of—"

Suddenly, I thought I heard some magic sounds. "Am I imagining things, or did it sound like mystical twinkling? Man, that is NOT a usual forest sound. I better take a look and see what's going on…"

I searched the strange, enchanted forest for answers and clues but found nothing. Looking around, I trudged up the hill and discovered something extraordinary in the distance. Far on the horizon is a place that looks like a mix of Disney World and Disneyland, with the great white and blue Disney Castle at its center, and there are still some people.

"Is it normal to see a version of Disney's Magic Kingdom and Disney Castle in the middle of another world?" I asked. "Okay, that much, I'm sure, but making strange but magical twinkling sounds? Now tell me that's weird."

I rushed down into the town, racing toward the castle. As I got closer, a strange but familiar voice came from behind.

"What's this? Are my spectacles enchanted, or might you be real?"

When I turned around, I was greeted by the sight of a wizard in blue! His hand stroked his long, white beard while his other hand held a stick-like wand.

"Finally! Someone who can give me answers," I said in relief but then paused for a second. "Wait a minute, what kind of question is that!? Of course, I'm real! Do you have some business with me, Mr. Wizard Man?"

"Well, I haven't introduced myself yet!" The wizard said. "You're no doubt wondering who I am. I'm Merlin, and I'm a wizard! A very, very powerful wizard."

"Merlin?" I repeated. "As in, the Merlin from Sword in the Stone!? Chief Prestidigitator and master of wizardry!?"

"That's right," Merlin answered as he nodded. "Now that that's settled, there's a small matter of who YOU are…"

"Who am I? WHO AM I!? Isn't it obvious? I'm Joshua Pharoah. Sumter, just a normal yet autistic guy."

"Joshua Sumter, hmmm? How could you be here?"

"Look, I don't know how it happened at first, but I was just here…" I tried to explain, but I later showed Merlin the strange shard. "I was in the middle of my 'Me time' when I turned up here because of this weird rock I found outside. So, I started searching for answers but bumped into you after a while."

Just then, Merlin gasped in surprise when he saw the shard I was holding. "Is that…!? Could it be…?"

I looked at Merlin in confusion. "What's up?"

"That's the piece of the Wishing Star!"

I blinked in confusion once more. "Say what now? You're trying to tell me this shard is a piece of some star?"

"You'll have to forgive me," Merlin apologized. "But I knew that someday, someone would come to help restore the Wishing Star."

"Restore the Wishing Star?! As if this day wasn't strange enough already. If you knew about this, it can't be good."

"I'm afraid all is not good, my boy," Merlin said as he led me to Disney Castle. "I suppose you're wondering what's going on. Come along with me, and I'll explain everything."

Once Merlin and I made it inside Disney Castle, somebody else was there, too. A familiar old lady in a deep, blue hooded robe.

"Why, hello. I'm the Fairy Godmother."

"The Fairy Godmother? From Cinderella?!" I asked in utter surprise. "What is this, a crossover universe?"

The Fairy Godmother turned to me. "And you are…?"

"I'm Joshua Sumter," I introduced myself. "Now that we skip past the intros, can somebody please tell me what's happening here?!"

At my question, Merlin and the Fairy Godmother exchanged glances – both sad and worried.

"I think you need to know the whole story," Merlin said. "But you really might want to sit down."

As I sat down, the wizard and the godmother waved their wands in the air, showing me an epic, large image of what appeared to be a massive star in the night sky. I was utterly amazed as my jaw dropped. "Whoah…!"

"For as long as anyone could remember, the Wishing Star had become the most significant and brightest star we wished upon to make our dreams come true," The Fairy Godmother began. "However, when evil forces threaten it, the magic of the star has disappeared."

"Yeah, sorry about that," I replied. "I guess some folks don't make wishing stars like they used to, huh?"

"Afraid not," Merlin answered as he continued. "Right now, wishes can't be granted, dreams are fading away, and there's no longer a beacon of light in the sky."

Merlin stood and waved his wand again as his magic swirled around the area, soon coalescing into images of familiar worlds from the Disney stories. "The Wishing Star split its power into pieces. They are now fragmented across other worlds, worlds of its beloved stories and timeless tales we live in."

My eyes widened, having a good idea where this was going. "Whoa, whoa… slow down. Other worlds? Oh, now I hear everything."

"Somebody's intrigued," Fairy Godmother smiled.

"Let's just say Hollywood had this obsession with the multiverse sometimes," I replied. "When you think about it, this all sounds pretty cool. It's just something out of those world-hopping, multiversal stories I used to look at." Then, I smiled an eager grin. "Oooh, so it's gonna be one of those stories."

"Now, Joshua, this is much more serious than one of your stories," Merlin said. "With the Wishing Star scattered, the universe is in great danger. I'm afraid it's pretty serious."

"Yeah, no kidding."

"Each piece of the Wishing Star's magic remained lost in different worlds within our universe," Merlin continued. "We need your help to find and gather all the pieces of the Wishing Star before they fall into the wrong hands."

"The wrong hands?" I repeated.

"Like moths to a flame, the villains will be drawn to the unleased power and magic of the Wishing Star, which will soon give them new and frightening powers, which is why you had to venture into each separate world to find them."

I listened and nodded at the instructions. "Okay, got it! No pressure or anything. So, just to recap… I'm supposed to outwit and battle monsters or villains while trying to find a piece of the Wishing Star in each world. Well, then, that should be fun enough."

Merlin nodded. "Yep, that's probably it. I think you've got all the information and tools. We have faith in you, lad." Then, he waved his hands to cast a spell. With a puff of smoke, a portal appeared. "Now go forth, Joshua Sumter! Everyone is waiting."

"Alright!" I exclaimed excitedly, liking the idea of traveling through the worlds of Disney as my big-screen, multiversal adventure began. "Now, where do I start?"
