The Rescue Plan
AN: This chapter contains a conversation in French with the English translation in parentheses.
Last time, Team Rangermon battled the Vampirians in the Rangerian Ruins, where they looked like they were on the verge of defeat when Rangermon, Kari and Magnadramon arrived. Over the course of the battle Rangermon was injured to the point that he withdrew from the battle. Then Little Red managed to escape from the Vampirians only to be severely injured by Vampermon causing Red to become enraged to the point that he ascended to both Super Rangermon and Super Rangermon Level 2. After being beaten down by Vampiremon and Vampirestmon, Rangermon rejoined the fight to battle alongside Red, where together they managed to defeat the Vampirians and caused them to retreat. And now it's time to save the Humans and Digimon.
"It's been two hours sense the drones got bounded and they haven't started to change back." said Red. "And not only that, but we're also starting to run low on energy." said Pegasusmon. "I know and I don't get it either." said Rangermon. "Hey Rangermon, check this out." yelled Davis. As Rangermon, Red, Pegasusmon, and Nefertimon rushed to rejoin Team Rangermon, the Vampirian Drones started smoking as if they were turning to ash. "Pegasusmon, Nefertimon, go ahead and de-digivolve and get some rest." said Rangermon. "Finally." said Pegasusmon. "About time." said Nefertimon. At that Pegasusmon and Nefertimon de-digivolved and the Golden Noose disappeared. "I agree with dad, I sense that they're no longer going to be a threat." said Red. "Right, everyone, go ahead and get some rest." said Yellow. A few minutes later the Vampirians Drones changed back to Humans and Digimon. "Alright guys, we need to start collecting information about what happened to them. We need to know what they know." said Rangermon. "Sense there are children here as well, I think me, and the girls should go and talk to them." said Yellow. "My thoughts exactly." agreed Rangermon. "Little Red overheard what you said, and he wants to help." said Red as he joined the group. "Good idea, it'll help calm the other children down. Can you call your siblings and have them go check on your family." said Rangermon. "I already did. They're all right. I'll go into detail later." said Red. "Oh thank goodness." said Yellow relieved. "I agree babe. Izzy, I want you to be the central hub of the information gathering process." said Rangermon. "Affirmative." said Izzy. "Alright guys, let's go." said Yellow. At that, Team Rangermon spread out amongst the group.
"Hey babe!" called Rangermon. "Yes dear." answered Yellow. Rangermon nodded his head in a motion to tell Yellow to come here. "What is it?" asked Yellow as she came over. "Do you see the lady with the Floramon?" asked Rangermon. "Yeah, do you know her?" asked Yellow. "She looks familiar. She is one of the DigiDestened from France but I'm not sure." said Rangermon. "Let's go and see if you're right." said Yellow. "No, I want to make sure that I'm right first. It would be awkward if I called her by the wrong name." said Rangermon. "Alright, that does sound like a good idea." said Yellow.
"Madame Catherine, je vois d'autres Digimon qui aident à s'occuper des autres prisonniers et j'en reconnais quelques-uns d'il y a des années quand vous étiez enfant. (Madame Catherine, I see some other Digimon helping to take care of the other prisoners and I recognize some of them from years ago when you were a child.)" said Floramon to the lady. "Je pense que vous avez raison et je reconnais celui qui porte le costume rouge. (I think you're right and I recognize the one wearing the red suit.)" said the lady. "Je suis d'accord et je sais qui il est. (I agree and I know who he is.)" said Floramon. "Vraiment? (You do?)" asked the lady. "Oui. Il s'agit de Red Rangerus Rangermon Sr. (Yes. It's Red Rangerus Rangermon Sr.)" answered Floramon. "Rangerus Rangermon rouge, par ici. (Red Rangerus Rangermon, over here.)" called the lady as she waved Rangermon over to her. "Oui madame, comment puis-je vous aider? (Yes ma'am, how may I help you?)" asked Rangermon as he came over. "C'est moi, Catherine Deneuve et Floramon. Nous nous sommes rencontrées il y a des années à Paris. (It's me, Catherine Deneuve and Floramon. We met years ago in Paris.)" answered Catherine. "Je pensais que tu m'avais l'air familier. Je t'ai reconnu de loin et j'ai pensé : « Je crois que je sais qui elle est ? » (I thought you looked familiar. I recognized you from a distance and thought 'I think I know who she is?')" commented Rangermon. "Aussi, appelez-moi simplement Rangermon. C'est plus facile comme ça. (Also, just call me Rangermon. It's just easier that way.)" stated Rangermon. "D'accord, nous pouvons le faire. (Okay, we can do that.)" answered Floramon. "Maintenant que nous avons réglé les plaisanteries et les réintroductions, y a-t-il quelque chose dont vous aviez besoin ? (Now that we got the pleasantries and reintroductions out of the way, is there something that you needed?)" asked Rangermon. "Nous aimerions vous aider de toutes les manières possibles. (We would like to help you in any way we can.)" said Catherine. "Comment ça? (How so?)" asked Rangermon. "Nous savons où se trouvent tous les autres prisonniers. (We know where all the other prisoners are.)" answered Floramon. "C'est le genre d'information que je recherche. S'il vous plaît, dites-le-moi. (That's the type of information that I'm looking for. Please tell me.)" asked Rangermon. "Elles sont retenues captives dans le château de Myotismon. (They're being held captive in Myotismon's castle.)" answered Floramon. Rangermon winced upon hearing Myotismon's name again and then looked over both shoulders and noticed that Gatomon was within earshot of the conversation and noticed that one of her ears turned toward them. "Je suggère que nous ne disions pas son nom. Un de mes amis a une mauvaise histoire à son sujet. (I suggest that we don't say his name. One of my friends has a bad history regarding him.)" suggested Rangermon. "Je sais à qui vous faites référence. Nous ne mentionnerons pas son nom. (I know who you're referring to. We won't mention the name.)" said Floramon. "Merci. (Thank you.)" thanked Rangermon. "De rien. (You're welcome.)" answered Floramon. "Y a-t-il autre chose que vous pouvez me dire ? (Is there anything else that you can tell me?)" asked Rangermon. "Nous savons exactement où se trouvent les autres prisonniers et nous aimerions vous aider à les sauver. (We know exactly where the other prisoners are, and we would like to help you in rescuing them.)" answered Catherine. "À l'heure actuelle, j'aurais besoin de n'importe quelle aide et de n'importe quelle publicitél'avantage que je peux obtenir. Venez avec moi, je veux que vous vous joigniez à nous pour nous aider à élaborer une stratégie. (Right now, I could use any help and any advantage that I can get. Meanwhile, over by the information hub, Agumon, Biyomon, Gabumon, Gomamon and Patamon have returned from gathering intelligence and are now talking to each other. "I've been told by some of the Digimon that they were being held captive in Myotismon's castle." said Agumon. "I was told the same thing." stated Biyomon. "Same here." said Gabumon. "What about you two?" asked Biyomon to Gomamon and Patamon. "Same thing with us." answered Gomamon. "I wonder if Gatomon has heard?" asked Agumon. "I'm pretty sure she has, and I don't think it's a good idea to mention it right now." said Gomamon. "I agree, we don't want her to flip out on anyone." said Patamon. Then Kari and Gatomon came walking up with Rangermon, Catherine and Floramon a few minutes later.
"Hey Kari, Gatomon. Rangermon wants to speak with the two of you privately when he comes back." said Yellow. "What about?" asked Kari. "Hmph." retorted Gatomon. "What's the matter, Gatomon?" asked Agumon. "Yeah, you're never this grumpy." said Gabumon. "Leave me alone." growled Gatomon. "I'm sure we know what's wrong. Do you want to talk about it? Who knows, we could make you feel better." said Biyomon. "I said leave me alone!" yelled Gatomon. "Agumon, Biyomon, Gabumon, leave her alone." said Rangermon as he walked up. "I had a feeling this was going to happen." commented Patamon. "We tried to warn up." commented Gomamon. "You wanted to speak with me and Gatomon?" asked Kari. "Yes, you two go and wait for me behind that rocky outcrop over there." said Rangermon as pointed to a nearby rocky outcrop. "Alright." said Kari. At that, Kari and Gatomon walked away. "As for the rest of you, go and meet up with Izzy and Tentomon." said Rangermon. At that, the rest of the Digimon nodded and walked away with Agumon, Biyomon, and Gabumon hanging their heads low. "What's going on, babe?" asked Yellow. "Old wounds have opened back up for Gatomon." said Rangermon as he was walking by. "What kind of old wounds?" asked Yellow. "The kind that involved Myostimon." answered Rangermon. "Okay, I understand. I assume that you'll explain it later?" asked Yellow. "Yes." answered Rangermon. "Do you want me to let the others know?" asked Yellow. "No, just let them know that I'm not mad." said Rangermon. "Alright. I'll see you when you get done." said Yellow. Then Yellow gave Rangermon a quick kiss on the cheek before Rangermon walked away.
A brief time later Rangermon met up with Kari and Gatomon. "You wanted to speak with us privately, Rangermon?" asked Kari. "Hmph." snorted Gatomon as she crossed her arms and stuck her nose up and away Rangermon. "Yes. Now Gatomon, hearing his name is as much of a shock to me as it is to you." said Rangermon. "You're talking about Myotismon, right?" asked Kari. "Yes, that's what I wanted to talk to you about." answered Rangermon. "And I guess you're going to make me join in the rest of the mission?" snapped Gatomon. "Gatomon!" gasped Kari. "I understand that you're angry. I'm not going to make you join us if you don't want to." said Rangermon. "ANGRY! I'm not angry. I'M FURIOUS! I'm so furious that I want to rip your face off!" shouted Gatomon. "Gatomon, please don't. It won't help the situation." pleaded Kari. "No, I think it will. Go ahead and hit me. Take out all your frustration on me. I won't fight back neither." said Rangermon. At that, Gatomon started attacking Rangermon with punches, kicks and claws resulting Rangermon losing some teeth, a black eye, claw marks on his face, arms, legs, and body, as well as Gatomon stabbing him in the chest and stomach with her claws. "Do you feel better?" asked Rangermon. "A little, but this doesn't mean that I'm still angry." growled Gatomon. "I know. Do you want to finish the mission with us, or do you want to go home?" asked Rangermon. "I think I'll continue with the mission, and who knows, some of Myotismon's old goons might still be hanging around and that'll give me the opportunity to beat them up." snickered Gatomon. "That's the spirit. And just to let you know, the rest of the team are willing to help you with healing those mental and emotional wounds and will support you because they all care about you. Now let's go and rejoin the others." said Rangermon as he was spitting out his teeth and his wounds started to heal. At that, Rangermon, Kari and Gatomon walked back to the group together.
"Dang Rangermon, looks like the kitty messed you up pretty good." chuckled Tai as he, Kari and Gatomon walked over to rejoin the group. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep it up goggle head and I'll be spitting teeth at you." said Rangermon. "That's a term I haven't heard in a long time." said Tai. "You should really watch what you say, dear." said Yellow. "I asked for it, literally." said Rangermon. "Why would you do something like that?" asked Mimi. "To let her vent and take out some frustration. And for the record, Agumon, Biyomon, and Gabumon, I was not mad at you three. I just wanted to prevent you three from getting hurt unnecessarily." said Rangermon. "It's okay." said Biyomon. "Yellow told us about it." said Agumon. "And we knew that you could manage whatever would happen during your conversation with Kari and Gatomon." said Gabumon. "Anyway, did we manage to get everyone back to their homes?" asked Yellow. "Yes Yellow. Davis, Ken and Imperialdramon just left about 5 minutes ago with the last group of prisoners, and they should be back shortly." said Izzy from behind his computer. "Good, we'll wait until they get back then." said Rangermon.
"So, who's our guest?" asked Red as he, Davis, Ken, Veemon and Wormmon walked over to join the group. Cathrine and Floramon talked together in French to decide on how to talk to the group. "Hello, my name is Cathrine Deneuve. I am one of the Digi-Destined from France. It is my pleasure to meet you, Team Rangermon." said Cathrine. "Word of your victories have been spreading across the Digital World and many Digimon and their partners would like to help you." said Floramon. "Well, that would explain why I've been getting a lot of emails from people all over the world for the last couple of months." said Rangermon. "So, this is the girl you and Tai sneaked a kiss with all those years ago." said Kari sarcastically. "Are you ever going to forget about it?" asked T.K. "No." answered Kari with a smile. At that, everyone started snickering. "Can you two save it for later?" asked Yellow. "Let them have this one. It's helping to ease the tenson." said Rangermon. "Well, can we at least get back to the task at hand?" asked Yellow. "Absolutely. Ms. Deneuve has asked me to allow her and Floramon to join us for the rest of the mission because they can lead us to where the rest of the prisoners are." said Rangermon. "That's great." said Tai. "Also, my Digivice was taken from me when me and Floramon were captured along with at least three other Digi-Destined." said Cathrine. "Well, this complicates this a bit." said Red. "Right, not only do we have to rescue the prisoners but also we have to find the Digivices, and they could be anywhere in the castle." said Yellow. "If anything, they will be in Myotismon's treasure room." said Gatomon. "Do you remember how to get there?" asked Yellow. "Yes, I'll go and retrieve the Digivices." said Gatomon. "I'll help you out." said Patamon. "Me too." said Agumon. "Count us in as well." said Gabumon as the rest of the Digimon were nodding in agreement. "You see, I told you they cared about you." said Rangermon.
"So, what's the plan?" asked Matt. "T.K., Kari, Patamon and Gatomon, I want you four to scope out the right side of the castle." said Rangermon. "You got it." said T.K. "Davis, Ken, Veemon and Wormmon, I want you four to scope out the left side of the castle." said Rangermon. "Right." said Davis. "Once the scout teams return, report on what you saw." said Rangermon. "Right." said T.K. and Davis together, "Tai, Matt, Agumon, and Gabumon, take the back left side of the castle and create a distraction." said Rangermon. "Leave it to us." said Tai. "Yolie, Cody, Hawkmon, and Armadilamon, do the same thing on the right side of the castle." said Rangermon. "Sounds simple enough." said Yolie. "Red, go with T.K., Kari, Patamon and Gatomon and retrieve the Digivices." said Rangermon. "No problem." said Red. "Imperialdramon will take Cathrine and her group down to the courtyard so that they can sneak into the dungeon and get the rest of the prisoners out." said Rangermon. "Don't worry, we will make sure to get you guys in there safely." said Veemon. "Thank you." said Cathrine. "Red, once your team completed your task join up with Cathrine's group and help them out. Once you all are ready, give us the signal." said Rangermon. "You got it, dad." said Red. "Everyone else will run interference for you all while me and Yellow are engaging the Vampirians until everyone is out." said Rangermon. "Right." said Team Rangermon in unison.
Alright, Team Rangermon have successfully pushed back the Vampirian threat and have returned the Vampirian Drones back into Humans and Digimon and returned them back to their homes and have also produced a plan to free the remaining prisoners. I hope they are successful. Find out in the concluding chapter.
