Chapter 1: A Miracle

New Diary Entry #1:

This is the world of Gamindustri. A world where three or four CPUs rule and protect their nations. Although two of them are at odds with each other, I'm sure that one day they will get along… Oh! And the reason I said three or four is because I don't know if I'm considered one as well…

Either way, the first CPU is Listoria, also known as CPU Silver Heart who rules over Lastation-The Land of Silver Regality which is east of Planeptune. She's the one with a cowboy hat over her white hair, you probably can't miss her. In her CPU form, she's cold and really intimidating but her human form is rather fun and overall a nice person/CPU. From observing her, she likes to 'work' on technology and historical stuff but if I don't summarize, I might fill up the entire page so I might get back on that…

Next up is Centauri, CPU Olive Heart and rules over Leanbox-The Land of Olive Pastures which is towards the south. If you don't know who that is, he's the tall blonde guy, you obviously can't miss him… Wait… where have I written this before…? Anyway, in both his CPU and human form, you would first see him as a rather serious guy or something like that but in actuality, he's a rather chill and cool dude and a big softie. Also, he's rather intelligent in the science department and really good at controlling the military.

And Shift, the CPU Dual Heart of Lowee-The Land of Dual Serenity which is towards the north. Her hair color is rather unique, being red on one side and pink on the other. Unlike the other CPUs, she's always in her human form making her people believe that she's the Oracle beside her actual one. And though I've seen it a few times, in her CPU form she's a lot more confident in herself in contrast to her human form who is rather shy but kind and a real animal lover. She almost reminds me of myself back then before…

I quickly stopped myself from writing and immediately erased "She almost reminds me of myself back then before…" I then replaced this with:

Anywho, she likes to work on her games, doing her work, going on quests, and… singing… Actually, I've been helping her out with that! Though we haven't put up the one we're working on as of right now but this made me feel… happy.

After writing that, I took a deep breath and looked up at my own office ceiling. 'I guess I have to write what I'm like then…' I just sighed and wrote down the last summary.

And finally me, Sapphire also known as CPU Cyan Heart and rules over Planeptune-The Land of Cyan Progress, which is west of Lastation, and the girl who is writing this diary entry. You'll forget what I look like but if you see a depressed-looking girl with light blue hair walking around in Planeptune, then that's me. I have no redeemable qualities about myself as well as I pretend to be someone I'm not. My CPU form is not redeemable since I get too cocky for my own good. I'm not usually seen by everyone, except on a few occasions where I have to. However, no one knows who I am, which is a good thing for me since I don't like people swarming around me. Usually everyday for me is just paperwork, sometimes making software for the other nations, mostly collaborating with other companies, rarely making old consoles, and having arcades to play in.

"And I'm done!" I exclaimed as I stretched out my arms as I dropped my pencil before picking up what I wrote. "And… I wrote a bit too much… huh…"

I just sighed as I closed the book and put it in my desk drawer and spun my chair around before facing the mirror I had against the wall. I have really long light blue hair that nearly reaches my ankles and blue eyes. I wore a small blue, sleeveless jacket over a purple button up shirt that barely covered my midriff with blue buttons and purple skirt. I also wore purple sleeves that go up to shoulders and blue horizontal lines at the ends of my sleeves. I also had white socks and purple and blue shoes.

"I guess I look okay…" I commented on myself before sighing as I turned to my desk. "But, I look like someone who stitched this all together while looking at other designs for inspiration. Anywho, back to more work…" And before I picked up my pen and returned to my work, I heard my office door slam open. "Okay, what is it this time, Filyn…"

A red-haired girl named Filyn then walked her way towards me and slammed her hands on her desk. "You know what I'm here for!" She said in a frustrating tone. "I went on a million different quests and we still haven't spent time with each other" Filyn started to pouted like a child. "Come on! What gives!"

I sighed in exasperation as I gave her a frown. "Sorry, Filyn. I still have work to do. Could you come back later?"

Filyn, however, was practically fuming after hearing that. The red-headed girl in question looks around 18 years old and has her hair tied up into twintails, bright orange eyes, and a black eyepatch over her right one. She wears a black cloak over white dress. She also wears white tights and combat boots.

"Come on already! Stop saying that!" Filyn yelled in my ears, immediately covering them. "And stop being so exzap… exract… ex…"

"Exasperating…" I immediately corrected her before shaking my head in disappointment.

"Yeah! That!" Filyn then pointed at me while grinning childishly before immediately slamming the desk again. "Stop doing that! I can do that myself! And come on! Please—!"

"Filyn… go away…" I immediately interrupted her with a rather cold expression on my face. "I have work to do… So, can you come back later." I had to put more force into my last few words so I can send a message to her that I don't want to be bothered.

"Okay…" Filyn said nonchalantly as she walked away, defeated, before closing the door behind her.

When she finally left my office, I just sighed again while feeling guilty about what just happened. "I'm sorry, Filyn…" I muttered under my breath. "But, I don't want you to be burdened with my problems…"

I then went back to doing paperwork. It's a rather long and boring process to do but I don't mind that much. Most of it is about collaborations, requests, and a bunch of other stuff. Though, I did notice that it was less than what I usually do. Either way, when I'm finished with it for now, I check my calendar if there's anything else that I need to do.

'Let's see here…' I scanned the calendar before looking at tomorrow's schedule. 'Oh… I'm going to Lowee tomorrow… Hopefully, there's no Lowee Ninjas attacking me every five seconds… Welp, gotta carry bananas with me…"

I just laughed at the idea before remembering what I have to do. "Oh yeah… I have to put Filyn's Information in this new book as well."

I then opened the drawer and took out the book. I then opened it up and write:

Filyn, also known as Kumori to all the people. She used to be known as CFW Magic of the Four, now Three Felons but although she really looks like an edgy person with that eyepatch and black cloak when she's an overly attached girl that wants to spend time with me. And I don't know how she survived after centuries since we both didn't figure that out. Either way, when she's fighting, she gets serious though I'm pretty sure her weapon is really hard to use in a fight. It's like using a stick on a final boss, but no one would do that, right? Either way, she somehow knows how to do someone's hair, is able to fight monsters that are at her level, and likes stuffed animals.

"Now I'm done!" I smiled internally before putting the book away. "Now then, it's time to make dinner." I said as I walked out of my office.

After making my usual dinner and finished eating it, curry and rice, I washed the dishes before placing them on the rack for it to dry. Though I noticed something wrong with Filyn. She has been rather quiet while we were eating.

'Maybe because I've been a bit too mean this time around.' I thought to myself. 'I should make up with her… Like spending time with her… She deserves it since she has been involved with way too many problems…'

When I finally finished, I noticed that Filyn had disappeared from the living area. She probably went back into her room. I just sighed before going to the bathroom, taking a bath, brushing my teeth, going to my own room and changing into my light blue pajamas before lying on my bed and going to sleep.

Somewhere else in Planeptune Tower…

In a room was a huge crystal floating on a small platform. This crystal was a Sharicite, or at least Planeptune's Sharicite, a crystallized form of the faith of a CPU's followers. However, recently, the blue crystal started to glow. Brighter and brighter into a white flash until it finally the glow faded.

Now in front of it lay a little girl with blue hair and bluebell eyes and didn't wear anything. She slowly stood up and looked around, having an inkling where she was. However, she felt like something… no… someone who was supposed to be there but wasn't. The girl then noticed her less modest appearance, so she set out on finding some clothes.

Back to Sapphire's POV…

I dreamed or had a nightmare about a rainy day. That rainy day changed my life forever and has plagued me for many centuries.

I dreamed about being in Haneda City, paralyzed, unable to move, and of course, was filled with fear. I dreamed about a black robot with glowing neon blue eyes, not being able to defeat him, before seeing his halberd coming down on my head.

I dreamed about a purple-haired girl, Saki who had always been there for me, blocking that attack for me. She turned to me and said, "Don't worry, I'm here to protect you." She then ran towards the robot, full of confidence.

I dreamed about myself screaming, "Get back! Saki! You can't take this one!" I dreamed about her still charging in as I tried to get back up while reaching out to protect her. I dreamed about her being thrown to the city's walls and having the strength to move my legs.

I dreamed about frantically grabbing my rapier before rushing towards the monster, readying my blade for a strike until…

A single strike ended her life…

My eyes quickly shot awake as I stood up from my bed. I frantically look around my dark room before sighing in relief. I thought to myself, 'Why did I have that dream again…?'

I shook my head before getting out of my bed, having a really huge headache. I lightly clutched my head, thinking, 'Maybe I should get a drink of water…'

As I left my room and headed to the kitchen, pouring a glass of water, and drinking it, I heard something in the laundry room. At first, I thought it was nothing before I heard it again. I then placed my glass on the table and quietly headed over there.

When I made my way over to the laundry room, which strangely had the door slightly open, I called out into the room. "Hello? I hope you're not a ghost. But if you're a friendly ghost, please come out!"

Like she was responding to me, a short, light blue-haired girl with bluebell eyes and a petite yet athletic build suddenly poked her head out behind the door. "Ummm… hi." She chirped up as she looked up at me.

This took me a few seconds to process who's looking at me before being caught off by surprise.

"GYAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

That is all for now! And I know what you're thinking:

"If the author uploaded this, this means that he's abandoning the original version!"

And to answer that, no, not really. I'll have this run with the original version to see which one you guys prefer.

Now here's a little bit about what this story is about! This story is going to have a similar plot from the original but how the characters get there will be completely different since Sapphire hasn't lost her memories at all. And there will be a bunch of references in this story about the game industry, but that's pretty much it.

Now let's talk about the reference in this story! First off is what you guys just read at the end. That is pretty much another version of these fanfics:

Shadows of the Heart by Nanya

Second Chance Sister ReBirth by decode9

Nepsisters: Healing the Empty Heart by Cobalt Gemini

These are sort of how I shaped the relationship between Sapphire and her sister. The part on when they first met sort of parallels Cobalt Gemini's story and the parts where act sort of a nod to decode9's story. But where I first found out about this type of story is when I read Nanya's story. The second reference is about the Lowee Ninjas and if you don't know, Nintendo started to copyright the people who make fan games about their games. And the other thing is about how Sapphire thinks that she should carry bananas with her, which is a reference to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And finally, the dream sequence is sort of a nod to that scene in Xenoblade Chronicles 1 from the huge robot, the way the protagonist is unable to move, a heroine coming in to save her friend, and the way the protagonist tries to tell her to get back. The only difference is that Sapphire doesn't know what happened.

And now for the OCs! The first three was in the original version and were made by these people:

Centauri made by Cooldude101011

Listoria made by ptyre

Shift made by decode9 (the one who helped me with this)

And the last person was also made by decode9 as well but I haven't revealed the name just yet but if you had read the rewrite version of the original, you'll know who I'm talking about.

And that's all I got to say, Please Review and Stay Safe!
