Prologue Elise runs away from the quarantine zones

This one is a full Annelise chapter. Mostly, I think yes yes this will be a full Annelise chapter 1st of it, and this new book for the new friend info series Freedom Annelise runs away from the quarantine zones. She escapes before it completely blows up, but she can't catch on. Can she reach her destination in the gardens? I mean her destination to Ravenswood or will she find Ezra first you'll have to read and find out in this chapter who is she fine first remember she is still only eight OK then?

Annelise

I ran out trying to find and catch Ion. I saw it fly not in but the palace I didn't know that Luther got out. I was trying to catch up but I couldn't. I did run out of the quarantine zones wondering if they forgot me I guess they did but I wasn't angry. I just felt sad because I was left behind. I didn't wanna die inside these zones obviously and I knew that Miss Helena, my new mother had taken my stuff already probably on ion on the palace I should say, and all the furniture and things that were in the room that I was sharing next-door to Riley and the new little Vald, Dorian girl that lived with us, but I didn't know about because well they kept me hidden a little bit more than Riley I was fine with that. I needed to be safe. Riley did it to keep me safe even though I was still the ambassador's daughter, but I couldn't do as many public appearances as Riley.

I did travel with Riley, sometimes for some appearances and things that would get in trouble like when Unity and Platt passed through the quarantine zone. We'd go up there me and her she would fly me up a couple of times we've been up there. It didn't matter since we lived in the zones we would sneak out and fly up should also tell me about the time she snuck up to the palace to see Luther and Scarlet that one time I was the only person she told besides her diary, Riley, my sister I'm not angry that she left me again it's not a big deal. I miss her though, but I need to get out before the fire hits, I know my evil adopted brother is going to destroy this place I didn't get a chance to climb on poured to the palace with all my things. I guess we're on there now, but I never got a chance to climb on board I guess because I didn't see me. I ran out though before everything was boarded up, but they didn't see me by the time I got out they were gone, luckily all my things were already on board. I didn't have any in my bag with me though that was good. I mostly shared clothes with Riley. I didn't have anything of my own completely so that was fine. One day I will have my clothing, I hope and I'll reunite with them right now I need to get out of here.

let's see, I thought can I climb this it's pretty high. Oh, there's a gate here it should be locked but it's not. There are no guards that makes sense. All the guards that guard this place are dead. Now I heard that my father killed himself and his guards and my sister's guards and my evil adopted brother hasn't posted any new guards here because he's gonna blow this one up the other quarantine zones are gonna be holding cells for other humans now let's see yes there's no guards I can run out of here ran and ran past Volder. Well, it's not in ruins. The only thing missing is the palace. I can see that the palace is missing, but they're busy playing on blowing up this place all right let's run I thought run Annelise run run run run where to run where oh look, I thought I said pointing yes I savior for me, and then dragon is beautiful as I have ever seen landed.

landed and a man is elegant as light stepped off. He was beautiful. I've only seen him a few times not much morally and drawings or pictures that my sister would show me when we lived in the quarantine zones together. She told me that Luther had seen him too, and drawings and pictures had beautiful copper hair like brown and copper hair and beautiful, emerald eyes. They can be piercing and cold too. At times I knew who it was. His cloak was beautiful, too beautifully decorated, but I hadn't seen him in person before.

he landed, saw me climb down from his dragon, and greeted me Princess Annalise he says Princess Annelise Volder. He says I'm no longer princess Annelise I said oh, right he says I realize that you don't have a tattoo I never did then why were you a princess he asked, I was but I was a bastard. Child, my sister, and I were bastard children kind of away. Oh yes, Riley, he said I said Riley saved me, but I think they forgot me they probably did but not in the way I heard him say no I'm guessing they just thought I wasn't there I mean I guess they were supposed to but I wasn't in a lot of Riley's appearances or did anything with her practice or anything like that? I think they wanted to keep me hidden for safety that could be the case he says, so what's your new name? He asked I think he should know that Helena and Julius adopted me in a way oh yes, Annalise Timecrest, he said, so child what are you doing out? Here is dangerous you know I'm not. I know that but I'm trying to find a place to go, are you? I think you are, sir I said a little scared. Yes, I heard him say.

also, I'm looking to wear my new family has gone. I'll take you to my home for a moment he says giving me his hand by the way, I'm first mage Ezra and I will be your ally for a bit. I have allied with your sibling and your family why I'll tell you later he says it's not safe here to talk. He says we're not welcome looking back. I did see the palace fly over, what's that that's the Dorian Palace he says it can fly my family up there. You'll meet with them soon and also looked at what's happening we could hear the screams of the people that were left behind. It would've been me if I had escaped in time would've gotten you out child he said I would've gotten you out if I seen you you wouldn't have died, I looked up at him really of course I'm with your family I wouldn't let you die. I would've snuck in there and got you out Miss Annalise you wouldn't have died in there tonight. You're gonna be a great out a great access to your brother soon what do you mean? I'll explain that later when we get in safety, he says taking my hand, so Miss Annalise, would you write to ride that's the only way we can go unless I teleport us, is it safe to ride of course is an emerald dragon, but we could teleport if you'd like it'll probably be faster. He says he teleported me and him to his home.

now, Miss Annelise, I can't call you a princess cause you have no kingdom I was never a princess I said I was before I was the ambassador's daughter I was just a prisoner princess, I should say Riley and I would've been trapped in there together if Riley hadn't got me out, of course, that's a bra and noble thing for Riley do for you. She had me in her room for a while and then we escaped and we had to take Luther and Scarlett's place. I knew that but I didn't know that both of you were doing it. I guess no one knew because Riley kept me a secret from only my parents, but even then it was rare. I'm glad you told me he says you didn't tell me who you are you should know who I am he says I blinked several times of course the appearance you first made Ezra exactly well then first I'm honored to be in your presence, sir I said, and I am grateful you found me before I was killed, of course not letting you die Miss Annelise you're very helpful. Am I just gonna be us at 20 no but I think your family would probably want you soon. They'll probably be missing you. You can live a free life and you could make yourself more appearances. Now I know are you angry about being left behind I asked that's what asked he said no, but I knew they might forget me, but not in a bad type of way.

besides, my new brother and sister-in-law didn't know me much except for Riley and well I would make sense. He knows well my daughter he said I will take it to your family soon but tonight you're gonna rest here at my place and then I will take you to them, oh OK I said I might keep you here for several days and then take you home Home I asked they're in Ravenswood you're evil adopted brother cannot hear you here at my house and if he could he wouldn't know where it is first Ezra said he would not dare come here if I'd known you were locked in that room before I would've come for you myself I would've gotten you and Riley out of there sooner I know the two of you had a trading place with Luther and Scarlet. Yes, I knew that if you didn't, I would've taken all four of you, but it had to happen not due to trading places, but the two of them being captured oh yes, that makes sense. I said looking at the first mage in the eyes.

and I am gracious that you want me to stay of course my child I wouldn't let you live on the street alone with the way the world is out there right now you wouldn't survive Miss Annelise not because you're weak but your brother would treat your half brother or adopted half brother, would find you and kill you Annelise shivered. I like death, but I didn't think of wanting myself to die like that. Your dark magic is strong as well that's very useful too. I do miss my family I said I know but I'll take you in a few days. I haven't been to Ravenswood yet. They just now got there. I might take you now or I might wait. What do you mean? I'm headed to Ravenswood soon to bed a barrier around the place to protect it. I haven't yet, the palace just arrived and I was headed that way until I saw you and I had to bring you here. I might leave you here while I go do that and then I will come back for you. I might let you stay here a few days rest Annelise and then I'll take you I know thank you I said I have a room for you he says, taking my hand and letting me to an extra bedroom you will stay here. I don't have a lot of anything fine your family probably packed all your things already, I shared Riley's things. I said of course she did now just rest and I will come back he said.

I did he said, and I rested while he was gone, he went to go take care of Ravenswood, make it safe and secure for my evil adopted brother. Well, I hope Miss Scarlet and Luther will be fine my brother, my new wonderful adopted brother Riley told me about their adventures, even though I didn't need to do a lot of them, and her adventures to the palace to visit them before I remember them very well. She told me Annelise I flew over the wall. I flew over the wall. I asked how she got out over the wall and why she hadn't taken me it would've been risky she said, and I needed to keep you hidden more than myself that made sense. I was a lot more frail than her and still sickly somewhat. I didn't have a lot to eat. She was a lot healthier, she told me that she saw Miss Scarlet tortured in front of her own eyes. Just probably about seven at the time Miss and Miss right there then myself and Riley, Miss Scarlet being tortured by her own brother's hand, she told me the horrific details I shivered besides her diary. She told me everything she told me I was her best friend, her sister I think she'll be happy to see me soon I'll be happy to see her too. My sweet sister Riley told me she watched her sister's mother-in-law that night's future sister-in-law being tortured in front of her and told her that she didn't see Luther. She did go see him too. He's a lot healthier than Scarlet but still probably being in the palace helps some it makes sense he solidified the Whole Pl.,. Riley told me, it was probably protecting him. I should've protected Scarlet too.

then she flew away and told him before she did when these trials Luther she told me she told me that he she told him that when these trials for us and our freedom for our families freedom everything's on the line, he knew this and I want to win fair and Square he told her she's like yes I know you wanna win fair and Square, but win it for us. Luther wins it for us. Then she told me about how they cheated on the trials. Well, they didn't cheat but the high did I knew that the high mage was no trustworthy person. He read it so that they would lose so that soul would have Scarlett in his clutches. I don't think Janice cared about Louzer working for him much. It was just part of the Punishment. He probably would've let Luther go unless Scarlet was there, but he didn't wanna leave Scarlet there to suffer. that's why they were punished together but I don't know the rest of the story after much because Riley never went back there she wrote they wrote letters, but I didn't get to hear those parts probably because I was in my separate room next door, I guess Helena went in there but I never saw her. I probably escaped before she did. I don't know I did escape soon as the guards were dead so that could be a possibility. I stopped to see the palace leave but you probably cleaned my room too.

well, the zones are gone at least that one I feel bad for the humans that are left, and in some of those other zones you're gonna be forced to fight awful awful trials that'll kill them not many of them are mages so they won't be able to defend themselves no I hope things turn out better. Riley didn't tell me all the other things like how she was an awful wedding or anything like that. She never told me any of those things, well maybe Riley will tell me about that later when I see her I miss Riley I do I miss Riley. I miss Mom and Dad as well. My new parents my new brother and my sister-in-law-to-be. I miss them very much. I'm happy Ezra's gonna take me there, he's gonna take me home to my family, but I'll probably be here for a few days. That is fine with me. If I lived with them I probably could've helped them. I would've been with them already, but I wouldn't been able to fly to keep up with him if it was Riley well she could've flown me, Riley. I'll see you soon sister I'm not angry that you left me. I escaped before you did anyway somehow I did soon as I got word the guards were gone. I ran before anyone could see me I ran.

I did have a key after all I ran. I probably ran that early morning and didn't get a chance to stop with the group and then I guess Mom took my things at least I'm safe somewhere right now. I guess the safest place besides where my family is, is here with Ezra, well I'd rather be here than out there.

I guess I need to rest a bit so I did I took a nap. I was tired running wore me out. Ezra was going to feed me later which was nice. I guess he didn't want me starving. I was always hungry because I didn't get a whole lot to eat my body. My aura was weak, I mean I did eat, but Helena brought food to me, and wasn't like I was a prisoner or anything just I didn't make a lot of appearances as the ambassador's daughter like Riley I was her safe she was the one that rescued me and saved me and kept me safe. Locking me up wasn't to keep me locked away because she hated me it was because she had to keep me safe not to be seen by guards and things even though I traded places with Riley, the guards could take me back to that awful palace more than her so I guess that's why.

OK, then sleep was good. I slept well and Ezra came back and noticed I was sleeping. I guess he was happy that I slept and I needed to sleep all that running tired me out once I woke. He fed me not fed me but made sure I had something to eat. He said your aura needs to be fixed. Your aura is tired and you need food in it and your belly child, I knew that. No that's good for you. I was never fed. Well, I said Ezra, I mean Riley fed me well enough, but when I lived in that little room with my chance chained, I didn't eat well Father starred me a lot well child that ain't gonna happen Ezra said, I was the only person that my father did that with he did it for his other prisoners just me I told Ezra everything my father called me a monster, a menace everything that I was and I didn't look like Riley, so I was a monster to them because I killed guard when I was born as soon as I was born, I killed the guards wow Ezra said I knew that happened but I never got a chance to bless you child because I couldn't get into Volder you and Riley never got my blessing of protection. If so, I would've come and got the two of you when you were babies he said I would've brought you here and raised you both you would've been safe, but we wouldn't have been able to trade places with right with Scarlet and Luther. I would've bargained. I would've dropped you off with time sooner but it works out. He says I wish I had blessed any of the vans but I couldn't because they weren't mine I would've saved you and Riley you were the purest besides one other little girl Zoe the daughter of the lieutenant who died last year he said oh I knew about little Zoe not because Riley told me about her she did not about well something I'll find out later, but I knew about her cause she told me about her at the trials yes, that little girl I would've all of you I would've saved you and Zoe he said if I had a blessed the three of you, I would've grabbed all three of you and brought you here. He said I would've taken you to his babies and then took it I would've taken Zoe after her father died. They would've been sick. You would've been safe all of you. You would've been safe with me out of removing the tattoo and keeping you guys here. All three of you would've been safe.

no, Riley saved me. I said to him yes Riley did save you. I wanted her to save you Annalise I didn't like that Janice had you locked away. That was an exception a child like you should not be locked up you're very powerful yes and you have very strong, dark magic, but you are not a monster Miss Annalise you're a child and children should not be locked in chains. I would not allow that good father to kill himself already. I said he killed himself and the other guards yes, I knew that and that prince that king is a tyrant, Ezra said, but you don't need to worry my child I will make sure you return to your family safe, I know I was gonna be returning to my family safely will teleport me there, or he'll bring me there himself. He can just fly in on his emerald dragon and take me there. We didn't ride on them on the dragon. He lies on the dragon all the time, but he teleported me here because it was safer. That way I could teleport you, but I think I need the time for family to see me anyway why I've already put a protective barrier but don't have to see me bring you I didn't tell them that I was but they'll be surprised. When are you gonna take me? I asked soon dear I have to take Luther soon as well, but not now are you gonna take him for the time magic no no I'm not taking him for that. I'm taking him because he and a bunch of other people are going to destroy Volder am I gonna help? I asked yes princess or not princess you and Riley are going to fight too fighting with Riley and Luther and Scarlet. No, he said no Miss Scarlet is not going to fight why this fight is for her? Besides, she needs to rest you'll find out soon he says patting me on the head, your precious child and you give me great company he says.

and you're a sweet little girl I know thank you no one said that about me except Riley and my parents when I see them here and there but no one outside my family or my new family said anything like that to me, especially my father. Well, you don't need to worry about your father. He killed my mother I know Ezra said I know he killed your mother and Riley's mother I know that, I know that he did I know your father killed both your mothers and I know that evil adopted brother of yours would've killed the two of you, but that would've been a worst exception you're supposed to be connected to that family in a way and I did not want to see you killed. I didn't want you chained either child I should've taken you especially you Riley I couldn't do anything about but I should've taken you, if I brought you here you've been safe what a special about me. Well, I don't know exactly but I have a connection with you Annelise my eyes widened. Oh I haven't figured it out yet myself he says, patting me and hugging me close, but I feel something when I'm with you, my dear child, I wish I could adopt you myself and take care of you, but you've been adopted to them and that's good too. I smiled, knowing that Ezra was here for me who is not a real Vald Orion of the Vald Orion Empire if it was up to me. He says I would've destroyed them myself, but it's Luther's destiny to destroy the Vald Orians Timecrest destroyed the Reinhard Empire. A Timecrest destroys the Orion Empire he says, and Luther is the strongest Timecrest. I've seen in years over all my years of Timecrest, his strong I give him that yes.

I chatted with him. He was great company. I never had anyone to talk to except Riley. It was nice to me. Ezra was nice to me too. I didn't expect to have a great comfortable conversation with the first page and I didn't know he would be nice to me. I was worried that he would hate me too. Just like everyone else or at least cold and distant. I hung out with him a little longer. I even got to see his dragon. He didn't want me to touch it obviously, but he did let me see him. He was the most beautiful emerald dragon I've ever seen in my life you will get to kind of touch him he said I'll probably fly you Teleporting would be too easy. I probably will fly you in at a grand entrance. He said it'll probably be easier for me anyway I can enter that barrier because I'm an ally to them so much and I can fly in and bring you. I knew this I knew they were allies somewhat, I went back to sleep again later sleeping and eating were good for my aura. I needed to keep it up. I needed to keep my aura up.

it was the makeup for my body from not eating a whole lot. Well, that was good for me. The day finally came, and we mounted onto greedy. That was the name of his dragon. He held me up. It was a pretty high-up. He sent me behind him now you have to hold onto me he said, I do not know this, OK I never wrote about a dragon before. This was very interesting to me.

we chatted as we flew. It was fun to talk to Ezra not just inside the house but outside the house but we had to be careful one though it was OK. My adopted brother wouldn't be able to see me on dragon back with Ezra he wouldn't be able to notice it, I felt wonderful and royal like riding with Ezra. It was amazing and riding on the Emerald dragon was smooth. He said I could touch him because he knew I wouldn't be able to hurt him so I touched the scales. They were smooth. Well, I would expect that dragon scales are smooth and he told me that green was the last emerald dragon of its kind. I knew dragons were extinct Ruby dragons. They were plentiful mostly but the emerald dragons were dying out. I already knew they were mostly extinct now. Green was the only one left.

I was pretty acknowledge of those things somewhat we flew, and we finally saw Ravenswood. We flew right through the barrier because we were allowed to the barrier did allow Ezra to fly in and out. He used his magic to pardon it, and he flew in, and he knew her a little knew where the little house was an ion over the palace. I should say it cleaned. I saw it too. I shiver for a bit. Don't worry. Ezra said the palace is no longer evil, Luther has solidified it the whole tire pace. He's probably resting because he used so much aura. It's still nighttime he says, and most of everyone is asleep so they're probably not expecting us yet. I looked around Ravenwood as we flew above it. Wow, it was a nice-looking little town. I have never been to a town like this.

at told me it was a farming not only farming, but a fishing village. Mostly some people had little gardens, but most people fished lots of times fishing. I never ate a lot of fish, but I bet it would be good. I thought I would stay for a moment Ezra said, because I need to make sure that they see me when they wake up this morning, I nodded. I landed when we landed I stepped down off the dragon and looked around me. I'm guessing they're still up because I can hear them talking. I hear a little girl's voice talking to them and it's not Riley's voice. Well, they're probably talking about some things Ezra said we must go near them.

I'm going in the chapter here I think this is a great start. I'll go ahead and write chapter 1 and put both up at the same time. The prologue and chapter 1 chapter 1 will be a mixed chapter so I hope you stick around I just think the first chapter should be in all Annelise chapters don't you think all right see you next chapter chapter 20 chapter 1.
