The Snow Woman Cometh
Chapter One: Punk Hazard

*The following story takes place in an alternate timeline during the events of the Punk Hazard arc*

*Interior Institute*
*During Caesar and Luffy's battle*
Luffy is ready to finish off Caesar with a Gomu Gomu no Jet Gatling attack. Monet soars in and uses her devil fruit power to create a snow wall to guard Caesar from Luffy's attack while Caesar escapes in an attempt to locate Law. "Wait get back here!" Luffy boomed. "I cannot let you continue to pursue him any further." Monet declared as she clamped Luffy's shoulders firmly with her talons.
Monet then kept Luffy contained in the room using her snow, snow fruit powers to create a blizzard impeding his progress before insnaring him in snow and thrusting him into the sky. Luffy broke from Monet's icy grip and attacked Monet with a Gum, Gum Pistol which Monet quickly dodged. Monet then used her powers to turn to snow behind Luffy. Monet charged at Luffy with her talons again but this time Luffy evaded her blitz. Luffy charges at Monet but she uses her devil fruit powers to trap Luffy in her ten layer snow hut or Kamakura. Luffy used his Jet Gatling gun to break through the snow hut but Monet creates another snow hut to trap Luffy. After using Jet Pistol and Jet Gatling strikes Luffy knocked down a few snow walls but sights with frustration as he still finds himself trapped in the Kamakura. "Oi Tori Onna what's with all these walls!?" Luffy demanded.
"It's a ten layer Kamakura. It's not so easy to break the walls if they're layered one after another". Monet revealed. " However I think you have the power to break this Kamakura". Monet estimated. "if you believe that then why are you wasting my time with this !?" Luffy exhorted as he shot his arm at Monet but she turned into snow and dodged his strike. "Don't get so hot tempered" Monet whispered into Luffy's ear startling him as Luffy steeped back in terror.
"The strongest fighter isn't always the winner in a fight" Monet professed as she swiftly hugged Luffy weakening him with her icy powers. "She's like a block of ice. She's so damn cold." Luffy groaned., "Let me go. Let me go" Luffy pleased as he weakly tried to free himself from Monet's cold clutches. "You can't push me away" Monet contended. *Camera zooms in on Luffy's body lying on hist stomach in the snow. Luffy is beginning to freeze in the piercing snow. "Close your eyes slowly. Relax. Let all the worry and stress you've been feeling escape your body" Monet proclaimed as Luffy began to close his eyes.
*About 10 seconds later*
Luffy then remembered what Zoro had said to him a short while a ago "This is just the beginning of the new world!" Zoro had forewarned. Zoro's words inspired Luffy to get the strength he needed to his Gomu Gomu Jet Spear to break Monet's hold on him and he created a hole in the floor in the process as he shattered the floor with his feet in the process of doing his Gomu Gomu Jet Spear. With his arms on Monet's shoulders Luffy was about to fall down into the newly created hole and into the basement. However in a flash Luffy kept his right hand clinging to Monet and used his other hand to stretch using his rubber man ability. "Gomu Gomu!" Luffy piped as Luffy then grappled onto the metal railing of the platform above them. Luffy breathed a sigh of relied as they both landed on the platform.
"Damn I can't believe he was able to escape! I almost had him I was so close!" Monet fumed. "Wow that was a close one!" Luffy quaked. "Hmmm what should I now? Oh I have an idea" Monet bubbled. "Ah I'm clearly no match for you. I don't know what I'm going to do now! I shudder to think what Joker will do to me once he hears of my failure. Oh I thought he could give my sister and I a better life but I was a fool to trust such a madman! If only someone could rescue me from this horrible situation!" Monet sobbed with tears in her eyes.
"Why would you work for someone like that? He sounds like a terrible boss". Luffy critiqued. "If only there was someway Caesar and Joker could be stopped but I doubt anyone has the power and the determination to do such a remarkable feat". Monet trembled. "I'll do it. I'll kick their asses! I'll protect you and defeat them". Luffy promised. "You'd do that for me?" Monet begged. "There's no reason for you to stay with that slime ball anymore. After I'm done with them join my crew Tori Onna. Your powers should definitely come in handy on our journey. Hell you were almost able to beat me" Luffy considered. "I'd be honored to join your crew. Let's have a shokuji to celebrate the occasion!" Monet beamed with a grin.
"Shokuji? I would love that idea!" Luffy piped pumping both his arms in the air gleefully. "I had a feeling you would" Monet reckoned. "Just give me a bit. I'm going to zip down to the kitchen and get some food and drinks. Wait here till I get back!" Monet professed. "Hyaku Tori Onna! I'm starving" Luffy hooted. Monet chuckled as she flew off to the kitchen.
*Ten minutes later*
Monet flew back to Luffy with a covered tray of plates of Gyukatsu, Yakinku, steak and green tea. "Gochisosama!" Luffy cheered while Monet put the tray on the ground before them. Luffy took off the plastic cover threw it aside. Luffy then devoured the feast within about four minutes and slurped down the tea. Luffy left the plates and tea on the tray and promptly wiped the crumbs on his shirt ignoring Monet's napkins that were under the plates on the tray. "That was great don't get me wrong but I wonder if it's going to be enough quell my appetite" Luffy wondered.
"So what's the best way we can get to where Cesar went from here?" Luffy probed as he started to feel light headed. "I don't know what it is but I'm starting to feel light headed all of a sudden". Luffy spouted as he grasped his head with his right hand. "It couldn't have been something in the food you gave me could it have?" Luffy explored. As his knees began to give out and he fell down on the metal walkway of the bridge. Monet walked over to Luffy who was now lying face down on his stomach. "Yes lie down here with me and rest your weary head" Monet offered as she laid down next to Luffy and embraced him with her wings numbing his body. "You've had a long journey and done so much fighting. You must be exhausted. Rest here with me until you're feeling better". Monet comforted. "That sounds like a good idea. I'm beat" Luffy replied weakly through his teeth which are now chattering with icy breathes. "I'll just take a short nap and then I'll be re charg—ed" the now frozen Luffy remarked as he closed his eyes and lost consciousness.
*Around three minutes later*
Luffy faded off to sleep and his body temperature has now plummeted after being in Monet's clasp for so long. Luffy the man who promised everyone he would become the king of the pirates has passed on. *Monet feels in her wings that Luffy's life force is non existent and knows she has finally defeated the seemingly unstoppable hero. Monet freed her hold on the now deceased Straw Hat Luffy and stood over his corpse and smirked. I told you strongest fighter doesn't always win a fight. Sometimes you have to kill them with kindness" Monet cackled into Luffy's ear as she slapped him sharply on the back. "Okay with Straw Hat out of the way I'll team up with Caesar and take down the rest of the Straw Hats. Cut off the head of the snake the body will die". Monet concluded as she called Caesar on her den den mushi.
*Cut to Caesar in R Block monitoring the tanks in B block exploding due to the fire from the dragon the Straw Hats encountered earlier*
*The explosion damages the walls and the gas from the outside is slowly starting to seep in*
*Ba da ba da ba da, ba da ba da" the den mushi mushi rang. "Hmmm I wonder who that could be?" Caesar exclaimed. "Ka cha" the transponder snail spoke as Caesar picked up the receiver and put it to his right ear. "Moshi moshi". Caesar proclaimed. "Caesar it's Monet. We have one less problem to worry about. Straw Hat has been rubbed out". Monet boasted. "You're joking right? That's sounds too good to be true". Caesar chuckled. "I never joke about my work. Mugiwara is no more". Monet reassured. "Shurorororo! That's delightful". Caesar hooted.
"I have a plan to dispatch the rest of his crew and the navy". Monet revealed. "Since you're a gas man I'm guessing you can turn into sleeping gas or you have some we can use?" Monet inquired. "Of course I always have some on hand just in case. I have some here in my lab" Caesar divulged. "Perfect release the gas through the vents throughout the institute in five minutes. That will give me enough time to get a gas mask to protect myself. Tell Vergo to obtain one as well. After the dust and damage settles from the Shinokuni I will fly out of here. Remember Joker said Law must be taken alive but the rest of the interlopers are as good as dead!" Monet advised. "Roger" Cesar reported as he hung up the den den mushi. "Ka cha" the snail quipped.
Five minutes later Monet's plan went off without a hitch as the Straw Hats, Kin'emon and much of Navy G5 Unit and the kidnapped children were knocked out by the gas in the Biscuit Room and restrained by Cesar and his sheep soldiers. Caesar and the sheep laid all the children in blankets in the Biscuit Room.
Cesar and the sheep soldiers (who were all wearing gas masks) rounded up the rest of the insurgents who were all placed in various locked rooms with sea prism handcuffs on the devil fruit eaters. Law (and the children including Momonosuke who was in the basement at the moment ) survived but the rest of the Navy (including Smoker and Tashigi) were liquidated by Cesar as they had planned.
*Twenty minutes later*
*Everyone has taken off their gas masks as the gases effects have now subsided*
Virgo helped Cesar and the sheep clean things up in the institute and double check that there were not any survivors among the insurgents. Monet strolled over to Cesar and Virgo. "I think we got everyone. Law is in custody and we're going to make preparations to hand him over to Joker shortly" Virgo affirmed with egg crumbs stuck to the side of his right cheek. "You have something on your cheek". Caesar smirked. "I know I'm saving it for later". Virgo yakked while touching the pice of egg on his cheek with his right hand. *Caesar and Monet both sighed and rolled their eyes at his response*. "Subrashsi. We put on quite a show for our audience with Shinokuni. Shurorororororo" Ceasar laughed. " Everything went according to plan. I'm going to wait until the effects of the Shinokuni have waned before I make my leave. Joker will be pleased to hear about the Straw Hats demise and the great success of Shinokuni" Monet reckoned.
*Note Franky was also later found on the Thousand Sunny and the sheep used knockout gas to sedate him and later polished him off*
*A few hours later the effects of Shinokuni have diminished and it is now safe for people to be outside*
*Monet and Vergo have Law return Monet's heart to her and then she goes out the Cliffside rear entrance.*
*Cliffside rear entrance*
*Ba da ba da ba da, ba da ba da." The den mushi mushi rang. "Ka cha" the snail spoke. "Helloooo" Doflamingo remarked as he grasped the receiver and adhered it to his ear. "Joker. I have great news" Monet imparted. "I'm listening" Doflamingo chortled with an air of anticipation in his voice. "The Straw Hats have perished. We took most of them out with the combined efforts of knockout gas and Shinkuni Monet proclaimed. "Marvelous! And the navy?" Doflamingo inquired. "They have Expired". Monet conceded. "And Law?" Doflamingo searched.
"He's alive as you requested Joker". Monet prattled. "Perfect with his heart in our possession he's at our mercy. He's more valuable to us alive" Doflamingo concluded. "I'm intrigued about how you disposed of Straw Hat? Did you slay him yourself?" Doflamingo implored. "Why yes. How did you know?" Monet pursued. "Call it a hunch" Doflamingo chortled. "Anyway I studied up on the Straw Hats. I played to Straw Hats weaknesses. He's too trusting, naive and he loves food. It was all too easy to trick him and poison his drink to incapacitate him and finish him off later". Monet bragged.
"That's one way to win a fight. I'm very impressed with your work Monet. I'd love for you to come to Dressrosa tomorrow so I can congratulate you and we can celebrate your great success!" Doflamingo beamed. "That sounds like a splendid idea. Sugar is there too right?" Monet quizzed. "Of course she's here. She's sitting here with me right now" Doflamingo responded *Camera cuts to show Doflamingo sitting on a brown couch with Sugar sitting to the right of him on the couch. Sugar is holding a bowl of grapes in her left hand and is plopping grapes into her mouth with her right hand.* "I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow Monet. Oh and bring some nice clothes will you. You know what I like". Doflamingo alluded. "Sure Joker. See you then". Monet preened as she hung up the transported snail. "Ka cha" the snail replied.
