Finally Belonging Somewhere – Part 119:

The last few weeks of term flew by and soon there was a frenzy as everyone was beginning to look for lost possessions and retrieve things from friends that they'd allowed to be borrowed. The end of the school year was fast approaching.

For Aurora, it had been an adventure that she would never forget. She hadn't dreamt of finding her family when she'd started Hogwarts but that's exactly what had happened. She was going home and that was something she had always dreamt of but never dare hope would happen. She'd found her family and had a few friends as well.

"I think we are going to France at the weekend," Aurora was telling Ellie and Charlotte, "I think you are coming out for a week before we relocate to the Greengrass Estate," she said as she counted her school uniform to make sure that she had everything she needed to have back in her trunk. She was stood in a summer dress that she'd fallen in love with and her white dolly shoes with golden buckles.

"That is correct," Astoria said, "Daphne and I are also going to join you both in France as we are going to see our family and then come to the Malfoy Vineyard…"

"Vineyard…?" Aurora asked, "I was told it was a cottage…"

"It's both. The Malfoy cottage in France is on the land where the Vineyard is," Astoria said as she looked at the younger girl, "your family produces world famous wine and they're grown at the Vineyard as you will be about to learn as you discover more about your family," she said, running a hand through Aurora's hair.

"But I thought it was some big manor house… like Malfoy Manor," Aurora said causing a chuckle to leave Astoria's mouth.

"There is a lot you have to discover about your family and you are about to go on an adventure my sweet starlight," she said as she tapped Aurora's nose before making sure that the girl's uniform was all folded neatly in her trunk.

Aurora grabbed her schoolbooks and began to put them in her trunk. There were some that she was going to take on the Hogwarts Express as it had been agreed that all the children would take the Hogwarts Express back to London before the children would separate for a while. It was also seen that Meredith would travel on the train but not with the children, but close enough so that if something should happen to Aurora someone would be close by to help.

"I will be on the train with you all in case you need me but hopefully that will not be the case," Meredith had told the children as she'd been int Aurora's dorm making sure that everything was in her trunk.

"I have checked a million times Aunt Meredith," Aurora said as she sat on her bed and watched her aunt.

"Maybe Aurora but I'd still like to check and make sure everything is here. Do you have everything you need for the train?" Meredith asked as she looked at Aurora and the girl nodded as she patted the bag beside her. Meredith moved to check the bag before kissing her niece's head and she smiled softly.

Aurora was sad to be going home but at the same time, was excited to be going home and learning more about her family… a family that she'd longed and dreamt of for so long. She looked around the dorm again and knew she would be in a different dorm the next year. She knows that only her enchanted fairy and unicorn, her owl and her kitten would be coming back to Hogwarts for her Second Year. Things would be a lot different for her in her Second Year and that was something she was looking forwards to and terrified of at the same time. She'd never imagined that her world would have changed for the better in such a short time, but it had.

All too soon it was the morning of everyone leaving. Lucius and Narcissa has said goodbye to Draco and Aurora and had left the Castle as they had handed control over to Meredith. The trunks had gone and Aurora held her doll close to her as she watched her trunk being taken to the station.

Meredith led the group down to Hogsmeade so they could get a few things for the train before they left Hogwarts and Hogsmeade for the last time. She watched her niece closely and wondered what was going through her head as it had been quite the year for her niece. It was a year that she was going to hold onto forever though. There were many things that would need to be sorted out but that was something for another day.

The group got onto the train and Meredith went and sat somewhere else, leaving Draco, Aurora, the Greengrasses, Charlotte and Ellie to sit together. Draco was glad as he and Daphne would need to patrol the corridors at some point.

Aurora sat by the window seat and she smiled as she looked out of the window, watching the scenery go by. Charlotte and Ellie were sat with her, whilst the other three sat across from them.

It wasn't too long until the scenery passing by got boring and Aurora was soon lost in one of her books that she'd put in her bag. She curled up and read with her doll in her arms. Astoria keeping an eye on her once Draco and Daphne headed off to patrol the corridors for a while. Draco found Meredith and gave her an update on Aurora before heading back to the compartment to find Aurora curled up and asleep.

The journey back to King's Cross was rather uneventful thankfully so that was a relief and Draco couldn't deny that he wasn't happy to arrive at King's Cross. He was surprised, however, to see James and Cait stood with his parents waiting to retrieve their granddaughters.

After a plan was discussed, involving Ellie and Charlotte's parents as well, the Malfoys Apparated away and Aurora's summer of making memories with her family for the first time were about to start. The first stop would be the vineyard in France in only a matter of days.
