"Chocolate pancakes?"I questioned, my mother sat across from me and shrugged her shoulders. "Where does he have to go this time?" I asked knowing my dad once again had to go out of town for my grandfather. My mother didn't say anything she just pointed to my plate, I rolled my eyes and ate in silence. She was gone for work before I finished, it was Saturday so I walked out to the barn to find Dallas, he was cleaning the stalls when I entered. "Want some help?" I asked him leaning against one of the stalls, "And have you ruin that pretty dress of yours?" He joked and stopped cleaning to look at me, I smiled and picked up a pitchfork I was about to help when my grandfather entered the barn. "Violet put it down let Dallas do his job, you're distracting him." He said taking the pitchfork from me and pulling me out of the barn, I gave a sorry look to Dallas as I stood outside the barn with John Dutton. "What are you doing with Dallas?" He questioned me, I crossed my arms and looked at him. "I don't need to explain myself to you, better question is what do you need my father for? Besides keeping him from his family." I could see the anger in his eyes I knew I had reached my limit with him, "Violet I swear you get more and more like you're mother everyday." He walked away from me and I walked back into the barn. /p

I asked him pulling the pitchfork from his hand and setting it down. "Violet baby you know I want nothing more than that but I can't." I knew he was going to say no he always did work comes first during the day. "I'll see you tonight then." He nodded and got back to work. I walked out of the barn and drove to Monica and Kayce's, Monica was the only one home when I entered the house. "Violet I'm in the kitchen." I heard monica say when I walked through the living room to the kitchen. "How did you know it was me?" She stopped what she was doing and looked at me. "I knew you're father was leaving and Kayce saw Beth leave pretty early this morning. How are you and how's Dallas?" I sat down and buried my face trying to hide the red that formed in my face. "How does everyone know about Dallas?" I questioned her knowing my mother probably already called her and told her all about him. I looked up at her and covered my face. "Dallas is fine I'm seeing him tonight." She gave me a smile I blushed some more, "Is someone falling in love with the new cowboy?" She teased as she handed me some coffee. /p

I don't know I think so but how can I be sure that I do? What if I do and he doesn't?" All the thoughts and what ifs ran through my head as I started thinking about everything. "Trust me he is crazy about you, I've seen the way he looks at you. And I see the way he makes you happy." He did make me happy, he's made me happier than I've been in months. I took a sip of my coffee before answering, "I told my mom that I think I love him I just don't want to tell him and him not feel the same. I want him to say it first." All Monica did was nod and washed out her cup, "Come with me Violet give me your keys." I handed them to her confused, "What are you doing?" She didn't say anything just got in the driver seat of my car, I got in beside her and looked confused. She sped down the road until we pulled into the ranch, she parked infront of the barn and got out. Dallas stepped out as she walked up to the doors, "Mrs. Dutton what can I do for you?" Dallas asked nicely I jumped out of the car and stood by Monica. "Dallas is it?" I listened as Monica questioned him. "Yes?" He said and I could hear the fear in his voice. "So you like my niece do you?" She asked him again with a wicked smile on her face, "Yes I do ma'am" I watched as Monica smiled and turned to me. "There's your answer Violet, I'll be inside." /p

He said walking into the bar, I followed behind him. "She and I had a conversation about that or something like it." I leaned against the wall and looked at him I was nervous and scared that this conversation just ruined whatever we had. He sat down on a hay bail and didn't look at me. "Dallas say something else." He stood up and leaned on the opposite wall of me. "I don't know what's worse that yo had you're aunt drive here to question whether I loved you or the fact that you can't do it yourself." I didn't know what to say I tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out. "Say something Violet"/p
