Hello! This is my very first crossover fic between Kamen Rider and another piece of media! Honestly, I've been meaning to do one for quite a while, but I kept reconsidering what Kamen Rider I should choose. So, I rewatched some stuff and ended up choosing Kamen Rider Revice's story elements! This fic will feature Juuga as the main rider of our OC! As for story elements in the fic, since this incorporates post-Revice, the main kajins and Vistamps in general are changed slightly to blend well with the story. Though, of course, everything will be explained in due time. Orginal/Fanmade Vistamps will be utilized that are made post-canon of Revice. Don't worry, they're simply for utility if anything else.
This fic's universe was inspired by the Composcreator's High School Kamen Rider Wizard DxD. More so, how he utilized the presence of Kamen Riders in the DxD universe. I really liked it and it honestly made sense to me, personally. Please check out that fic if you have time!
Without further ado, here's chapter 1!
"Ha... ha... ha...! No! I can't die here!"
Its footsteps echoed through the dead of night in Kuoh Town. Labored breaths escaped it, yet it had no intention of slowing down. It ran through the darkness of the night sky as though running away from its executioner. The creature would rather die from devils or fallen angels than meet him.
Another set of footsteps not its own followed, growing louder and louder with each passing second.
The creature could not believe it. They said he lost most of his former power. They said he wouldn't be a threat.
They fucking lied.
"End of the line, Deadman." The voice of 'death' said, his words echoing in the closed-off alley.
Clad in black and gold armor, a masked figure stood menacingly. The golden piece of his mask flashed an eerie glow as he stepped forward, and dark gold energy coiled around his right arm. It could feel the power coming off of it despite the distance.
"H-How?! How were you able to defeat those stray devils so fast?!" The creature snapped, turning around as it spewed out a stream of silk from its mouth.
Its attack was proven ineffective with a single swat of the masked warrior's hand, burning off the silk with ease.
"As if they were any challenge. Now," The energy that surrounded his arm intensified. "If you want a painless death, tell me, where are the other Vistamps?"
Instead of replying, the Deadman retaliated by firing another thread of web at his feet, keeping him in place on the ground. Turning to the wall, it began to climb, desperate to escape the masked warrior. A sigh could be heard behind the mask.
"Screw off, Kamen Rider!"
"You Deadmans never liked doing it the easy way, huh?"
[IMPULSE GENOMEDGE!]
Swiping upward, bladed arcs released from his arm, embedding the monster into the concrete.
"Gah...!"
The masked warrior gave it no time to respond as he burnt the webbing on his feet to cinders and leaped at the Deadman. A fist would connect right into its chest and, with a crack, pierced through the hardened exterior like it was nothing. He seemed to have grasped something inside as he pulled his hand out— a stamp-like device in his palm.
A defeated and weak groan was the last thing that left the Deadman before it crumbled into dust, the breeze of the dead evening scattering its remains into the wind.
"Its contractor should be all right now." As if on cue, a ring tone came from his person, retrieving his phone before answering, "I assume this is about the contractor, George-san?"
"Got it in one. She just woke up. The Deadman has been eliminated?"
"Yeah. It was the Spider Deadman, but it possessed more intelligence for a Phase 1. It was able to communicate with me with ease. It was different from past Deadmans I faced before." The masked warrior said, concern lacing his voice. "You might be right about this group being different from the one you and the others faced in the past, George-san."
"I knew it... GODDAMN!" The masked warrior had to briefly pull away, slightly startled from his cursing. "With my current equipment, it's taking longer to analyze all the samples we have collected. I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little longer for my analysis, Shuichi."
"That's fine. Could you ask the contractor if she remembers anything before she passed out?"
"Already did. She said she was leaving school after her club activities ended..."
"At school?" He repeated, eyes narrowing behind the mask. Don't tell him... "Then that means..."
"Kuoh Academy. She's a student from that school."
The man in the other line finished for him. He cursed under his breath. It just had to be Kuoh Academy— a school filled with devils.
"Well... At least I have a reason to keep the devils in check."
Inside the former all-girls private school— Kuoh Academy, an important meeting had been taking place. In the student council office, a bespectacled girl faced a girl with luscious crimson locks; one held exasperation while the other was confused.
Both, however, had surprise clear on their visage. The companions of the redhead grow more concerned over their expressions.
"The stray devils... have been dealt with...?" Crimson muttered, clearly and understandably. shocked.
Glasses nodded grimly and said, "And this isn't the first time this has happened either, Rias."
Two gasps came from the redhead's companions.
"How?" Rias asked— no, demanded, eyes narrowing dangerously. "How am I and my peerage just finding this now!? Explain yourself, Sona!"
Given their shared responsibility, it was understandable she was upset. The bespectacled girl with a bob cut closer her eyes and replied, "I have no excuse. I thought my peerage and I were capable of finding out the culprit, but they're an elusive one. They somehow always managed to disappear as soon as they finished killing the stray devils. I'm sorry."
"Is it people from the church?" One of Rias' people— a blonde questioned sternly. Upon receiving a headshake, his visage softened before being perplexed. "Then... a fallen angel?"
"We detected no trace of holy energy in the areas." Another bespectacled girl answered for Sona. "And it wasn't another devil either."
"That's why we haven't told you this info earlier..." Sona heaved a sigh, rubbing her forehead. "We are not sure what we're dealing with exactly. We might be dealing with someone beyond our capabilities."
Rias frowned. She found it hard to argue after hearing her reasoning.
"I am still upset at you, but I would have likely done the same... All right. Please keep us up to date."
"Of course."
Rias and her companions left the student council office before they dispersed into their respective classrooms.
The dark-haired girl in a ponytail walked beside her, glancing at the redhead. "What should we do, Rias?"
"I'm not sure, Akeno..." She sighed. "If Sona and her peerage don't know the appearance of the one responsible for dealing with the stray devils, then I doubt we would be able to find them. There's also the matter of the one responsible being able to eliminate the stray devils before either of us knows of their existence."
"How troublesome..." It was the ravenette's turn to sigh, placing a hand on her cheek. "Would you like Kiba and I to scout the city later? Perhaps we may run into them?"
"We'll discuss this later. We have another matter to attend to."
"Ah... You mean..."
The redhead would nod as she glanced at the window, her gaze falling onto a certain brunette.
"Excuse me?"
She returned to her senses and shifted her gaze to the owner of the voice— a man who looked like he was in his early twenties. His messy dark locks reached his amber eyes, bangs covered in golden streaks. If it wasn't obvious enough that he was no student of Kuoh, he wore a grey jacket over a black turtleneck paired with black trousers, a visitor's pass resting around his neck.
"What can we help you with, handsome?" Akeno asked in a rather cheery tone, earning a soft sigh from her friend.
The man chuckled, scratching his cheek. "Can you point me toward Kiyome Abe's classroom?"
"I'm sorry, but could we ask what is your relationship with Abe-san?" The redhead asked in an amicable manner.
Nodding in understanding, he smiled. "Ah, yes, of course. I'm her cousin— Shuichi Kuroda. She asked me to bring her this."
Shuichi gestured to a case of tennis balls as the two girls let out an understanding gasp.
"Oh, it's just over..."
The two gave the man simple-to-follow directions, soon bidding him farewell as he made his way to the classroom.
"I never knew Abe-san had such a handsome cousin! He really rocked that bad boy look~"
"Calm down, Akeno." She shook her head, exasperated amusement clear on her visage. "Well, he certainly didn't act like a bad boy."
"Mm... That makes it better~!"
"This girl, I swear..."
"You could've just waited until school was over to give this to me, Shuichi." Kiyome deadpanned, though she was sincerely thankful to get the tennis balls.
"The sooner I give it to you, the sooner I can leave." The black-haired man shrugged, his response earning him an annoyed stare.
"Geez... You're the one who messaged me out of nowhere asking if they could do something for me. Was that just an excuse to check out the girls?"
"You're a comedian, aren't you?" He said blankly as the other grinned.
"Yes. Now, laugh for me."
Shaking his head at the banter, his gaze turned stern, glancing around the classroom before he leaned to her ear. "Have you heard about any strange happenings in your school?"
"Strange happenings?" She quirked a confused brow.
"Like... Someone suddenly passing out or disappearing?"
"I can't say I've heard anything like that, unfortunately..."
He had expected that was the case, but he still couldn't stop a disappointed sigh from leaving him. He had a sliver of expectation that his cousin might have caught a rumor or something.
"Call me if you do happen to stumble upon some news, okay?"
"Sure...?"
Patting her shoulder, Shuichi left a confused Kiyome to her own devices. As he went downstairs, he would take out his phone and a grey stamp-like device. With a press of a button, it glowed and rang.
[STEALTH]
Stamping himself with the gimmick contraption, a grey shroud of energy briefly enveloped him before disappearing.
"This new Vistamp George-san made sure is useful," muttered the man, pocketing the device before he opened an app on his phone. "And this app, too."
The Deadman Detector app was honestly one of the peaks of his master's creations. He heard that he needed all sorts of equipment in the past to detect the coordinates and traces of the Deadman activity. With this app, however, Shuichi could find the monsters himself with just his phone.
The dark-haired man went around the academy. Even after a few hours had passed scouring around the premises, not once did the app detect any trace of the Deadman. The effects of the Stealth Vistamp would come to an end as the last school bell rang.
He ignored the attention he slowly garnered as a stranger in the academy and left through the entrance. That course of action would be abandoned when his phone let out a special ring.
Deadman!
Shuichi looked around for the source until his sights fell on the gate.
'That kid seems like an ordinary human, though I sense something within him... A Sacred Gear, perhaps? But that girl...' His eyes narrowed, glancing at the screen of his phone— a trace of the presence of a Deadman. 'Why would the fallen angels involve themselves with the Deadman, though...?"
A sigh would part from his lips, sensing a pair of eyes watching him. He didn't need to look around to confirm who it was. It was either Sitri or Gremory's peerage members based on their presence. The man pocketed his phone and made his way out of the academy.
Passing the boy and the fallen angel, he felt the gaze disappear on him. Oh? So, it was like that, huh? Whoever it was, their real target was the boy who might have possessed a Sacred Gear.
He held back another sigh. There was a good chance he would see the devils again soon.
Raynare inwardly frowned. As she spent time with the one she was supposed to eliminate— Issei Hyoudou, a foreign emotion welled inside her chest, bubbling with warmth and guilt. Contrary to the nasty rumors he had, his perverseness was only so much. He was more of a shy and innocent boy genuinely longing for love than a pervert right now.
The thought of committing such an act on Issei felt like she was stabbing her own chest. Truly, the world was cruel. Why must he possess a Sacred Gear? Oh, how she wished Issei would simply live a normal life.
Her precious thoughts and feelings, however, had to be put aside. She had a job that needed to be accomplished no matter what. As the brunette flashed her a gentle smile, a part of her soul broke down.
"What's wrong, Yuuma-chan?" Issei asked, concerned, lacing his voice.
"Hmm? Oh, nothing's wrong, Issei-kun!"
"But... You were making a sad face just now..."
Her mask felt like cracking at his remark as she shook her head. No, she must compose herself. She doesn't deserve his kindness.
Forcing a smile, she held onto his hand, earning her a blush. "I'm just... sad our date is about to end, is all."
"Ah... W-Well, if you'd like, we can plan another date in the future! I'll make it even better than today!"
She couldn't bear to reply, opting to force a giggle instead.
As twilight came, the two would end up at the plaza, gazing at the fountain. A glance at her companion indicated that he was currently in his own world, likely theorizing what was going to happen next. Biting her inner cheek, she steeled herself.
"Hey, Issei-kun?"
"Y-Yeah, Yuuma-chan?"
She turned to face the brunette, eyes searching his reddened countenance for something until violet eyes settled onto light brown.
"Would you... die for me...?"
Confusion flickered across his visage before softness arrived. Raynare did not know what to make of such an expression, but her heart ached all the same.
"Well... You're the very first girl who didn't just see me as a pervert and actually gave me a chance." He rubbed his neck sheepishly. "I know it may sound stupid since we recently just met and all, but I'm honestly really grateful for the opportunity to spend this day with you..."
Please stop...
"W-What I'm saying is... Yeah, I'd die for you, Yuuma-chan— for being the first girl to give me a chance."
She doesn't deserve his words.
"I see." A smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, yet even that wouldn't last as she looked down. "Thank you, Issei-kun..."
"Yuuma-chan...?"
The ravenette raised a hand, and a spear of light manifested in her palm, shocking the boy. She tilted her head up to reveal tear-stained cheeks as she gave a regretful smile.
"I'm so sorry, Issei-kun, but you have to die."
Utterly speechless, the brunette simply stared at his soon-to-be killer. What compelled the fallen angel not to kill him immediately, she didn't know. But she waited for him to give another reaction— waited for him to run.
Instead of running, however, he brought his arms around her. Raynare's violet hues widened as tears pooled in the corner of her eyes, soon streaming down her cheeks. The spear of light crumbled and faded as her arm fell to her side. Issei said nothing as she silently wept, muttering apologies to him and her superior.
"You had one job, Raynare. One job," said a voice from behind the pair. "You disappoint me."
The fallen angel quickly pulled away from Issei's embrace before she shielded him, eyes narrowing at the newcomer. A middle-aged man in a grey trench coat arrived, a black fedora perched on his head. He would have looked like any other dapper middle-aged man... if it weren't for the pair of crow wings on his back.
"Dohnaseek, please stay out of this!" The ravenette pleaded. "Let me talk to Azazel-sama! This... This just isn't his style! There must be some sort of mistake."
"Now, you question Azazel-sama's orders?" He shook his head, manifesting a spear of light of his own. "Oh, how far have you fallen, Raynare... All for a human boy? You truly disappoint me."
Alarm bells rang in her head as she turned to the brunette. "Issei-kun, run!"
"But Yuuma-chan! I can't just leave you with this nutjob—"
"Please...!"
Hearing the urgency in her voice, he gritted his teeth and ran, but not before yelling, "I'm bringing back help! Hang on, Yuuma-chan!"
"You're such a fool, Raynare..." Another disappointed shake of the head. What came next made a chill run down her spine as he flashed a sinister grin. "You should have kept him close to you."
"Gii! Gii!"
"H-Hey, let me go! What the hell?! Are these monsters?!"
Raynare looked back in horror to see a swarm of skeletal figures blocking the brunette's escape route. Two had held him in place while another stepped forward, brandishing a short sword as it sadistically brushed Issei's throat, a droplet of blood leaking.
"Issei!"
"Don't do anything stupid unless you want him to die in a more... brutal manner." Dohnaseek sneered with a grin. "But first, I should punish the traitor, shouldn't I?"
"?!"
"Hey, bird brain! Lay a finger on her, and you're dead!"
Dohnaseek flinched, eyes narrowing dangerously as he turned to the owner of the voice— one Issei Hyoudou.
"What?"
Something stirred in the male's gut. How in the world did this lowly human, a being inferior to most species in the supernatural world, possess such a fierce gaze? A weakling that hasn't even awakened his Sacred Gear dared to look at someone above him like that?
The fallen angel covered his mouth as a laugh began to spill. Soon, he laughed in the most disturbing manner possible that sent shivers down Raynare and Issei's spine. Wiping a tear that pricked his eye, he gave a smile.
"Decapitate him."
"No!"
Raynare created a spear of light and through it toward the Giff Juniors, only for Dohnaseek to destroy her projectile effortlessly. Eyes wide, she watched in complete horror as the skeletal soldier brought his sword up before swinging—
BANG BANG BANG
Bullets struck the footsoldiers before the deed had been committed, sending them flying away from the brunette. Everyone in the area was left stunned at the sudden turn of events, and then, they all turned in the direction of a voice.
"So, you're the one who's actually connected to the Deadmans?" Shuichi stepped out of the sea of trees, black firearm in hand as he aimed at the fedora-wearing man. He glanced at Raynare and gestured to the brunette. "What are you waiting for? Go to his side and get him out of here."
Recovering from her shock, she nodded and brought out her wings, ignoring Issei's shock as she grabbed him before taking off.
Dohnaseek growled and fired a spear of light. Shuichi wouldn't let anything happen to them on his watch. Aiming just close to the pair, he fired a couple of bullets, effortlessly destroying the projectile.
"How dare you ruin my plans?!" The fallen snapped. "You're either brave or foolish if you think you're capable of defeating me, boy."
"A bit of both." He shrugged, coming forward as he pointed his gun at the man. "But tell me: why are the fallen involving themselves with the Deadmans?"
A series of emotions flickered across Dohnaseek's face before ultimately settling into fear.
"J-Just, who are you?"
"Me?"
Instead of replying further, Shuichi whipped out a device of black, silver, and gold, pressing it against his waist as a belt manifested around him. A golden stamp-like contraption would be retrieved from his jacket. And with a press of a button, it announced its name.
[JUUGA!]
Ten animal constructs of different colors came to life around the man, each letting out their unique cry or roar. The Giff Juniors began to back away. Oh, and Dohnaseek? He was sweating, chills washing over him at the sight of the other's smile.
"I'm a Kamen Rider."
Setting the Vistamp into the driver, it announced its anthem.
[REX! MEGALODON! EAGLE! MAMMOTH! PTERA! LION! JACKAL! KONG! KAMAKIRI! BRACHIO!]
"Henshin!"
Crossing his arms to the right, he pulled the stamp to the right.
[SCRAMBLE!]
A black gust enveloped his entire being as each animal construct became colored particles, entering the driver as color soon spread throughout his figure.
[TEN GENOMES IN TOW WITH ONE COCKY AMBITION! BURST OUT! HOWL UP! TRANSCEND ABOVE!]
Armor made itself known to the world in gold and silver until everything was completely formed. The lens of the mask glowed gold, quickly fading as energy boiled inside Shuichi.
"I am... Kamen Rider Juuga. Prepare yourself."
[GO OVER!]
