Episode Ignis: The Wanderer Tomb
One and a half month later...
Fulfilling Prompto suggestion to rebuild and maintain Lestallum into a main core of survival, it gradually becomes a wall of hope. Using the ship parts that Ravus assault craft provided, proven useful as a reinforcement against the odds. Resurrected the impact of the Ravus crash site into a watchtower with fortified metallic walls.
Ravus appearance became a major part throughout Lucis, bringing people together, especially Insomnian civilians. Iris was the first to meet Fleuret, and he expressed a huge gratitude towards the Amicitia family. Gladiolus sister was benevolent and kind soul he ever met outside Tenebrae, and Ravus smiled for the first time. She was curious and excited to meet the King of Tenebrae, resulting in Fleuret opening up slowly.
During their establishment, Ignis, Gladio, and Cor introduced their latest arrival was Libertus Ostium, who is Galahd unit outside of Lucis. The voice of Kingsglaive and a strong leader to guide the units. Libertus Ostium is never a bitter individual, Libertus gladly forgives Ravus regardless. His deeds that escorted Lunafreya to safety brought Ravus' interest and respect, which Libertus included Nyx, who sacrificed his life for her safety and the ring. Recalling he harnessed the ring as well, causing his own life for the future king, he showed admiration and thanked the man by shaking his hand.
Ravus was also introduced to Monica and Dustin, who were known to be Clarus Amicitia: the shield of Regis. Astonished how Amicitia family honored in significance for their monarch, passing down from generations. Comparing their work to protect each other, likely knowing their nature is soothing. Monica begins marking royal guards and embarked quest to clear paths for female employers working on EXINERIS to power up Duscae, Leide, Cleigne, and Cavaugh.
While the Oracle makes himself known, the Hunters and Glaives pursues to obtain Tombs and Royal armaments for Noctis return. Vyv and Prompto photoshoot got a clear images of the tomb appearances, and Sania posted the environment that needed an experienced warrior with them to protect while extracting the soul of Lucis coffin. They come in pairs, and expedition on Wise and Conquerer Tombs are very close, which is easily enough to get their job done. The only issue is where Courel and Sabertusks lurks, which is ultimately no problem, with the glaives on their side.
Each pact has a significant role in obtaining tombs and hidden royal arms scattered throughout Eos. While the others' goal was to build power sources and towers to reach Hammerhead and possibly Insommia based on Ignis planned out in extraordinary ways. Blessing of the star, Cor agreed the objectives—a notable on the long night is drawing close.
The high commander proposed to train the Lucians and Hunters alike to pilot the Assault ship and commandeer bases as new home and main business of action. In an efficient way in air transportation and weaponry of devastated machines that purposely can slay an Astral. Simplicity and precise to eradicate a mountain itself! Even Gladiolus was interested in learning how to pilot the ship instead of knowledge on the road, and Ravus eagerly trained the Shield with no additional cost.
During the following weeks, Ravus permitted the Glaives to use their artillery, especially Prompto, who was proven to be talented on bullet arts than entire glaives combined. Ravus was impressed, but the downside of the clips was extremely limited, and he had to discard a hollow weapon aside. Fleuret and a couple of glaives that are experts creating weapons into thin air are put into work.
His blueprints he gathered and began tinkering Rapidus SMG, Alea Bazooka, and Lumen Flare in crystalline power. A project that beat the odd and impossible into their ascribed long-range weapon. In externalize, with the correct elements, it took weeks until the glaives succeeded one commonly used for combat, was the Rapidus. It needs to be processed and tested. As a result, the SMG regenerates a short duration.
The trio in black pursues to the next tomb, which is located in the waterfall where Talcott given knowledge of where Noctis obtained the Wanderer royal weapon. Prompto pointed out it's impossible to escort the tomb out due to environmental hazards. The ice slide and stalactites are common, an unlikely outcome to extract the tomb.
And it's too damn cold.
Hearing the request deemed unfeasible to accomplish, Ravus volunteered to aid the boys. He elaborated one of the Stronghold provide a tool to drill the mountains, and he can access the machines or bypass at his command. He occasionally returned to Tenebrae to check his home and visit Lucis to help his new allies in training. The residents of Tenebrae begin visiting Lucis after a long barrier of separation.
Libertus dispatched the trusted Glaives named Yura and Jenica. Their task was to accompany Ravus to Aracheole Stronghold for another Assault Craft docked in the base for spares. After succeeding in their work, they were appointed to help the Crownsguards officer and Noctis best friend at the waterfall. Libertus heard the glaives were blessed with the aptitude power of kings and queens, which they received full power to warp and the ability given by the bloodlines. They'll meet up and conquer the dungeon together at the gaping hole behind the waterfall. Who knows if daemons emerge again and harass them in surprise.
In the afternoon, Prompto, Gladiolus, and Ignis were on their way to their destination in an hour. Marked their way across the road, Ignis is in the driver seat, steering the wheel of Regalia while Prompto was at the passenger seat beside the driver. Gladiolus was behind Prompto, reading his novel quietly.
Prompto kicked his feet above the glove carpartment and slouched. Using his camera to zoom in from where he sat, Ignis mumbled lightly and responded to his friend lack of respect.
"Do mind, this is a luxurious car passed down from the heirloom of our King, Prompto. Please, feet off the top and fix your pose." Ignis criticizing the sharpshooter.
Prompto sighed heavily loudly, still gripping his camera, aiming his lends and viewing Ignis driving. "Aw, come on, Ma." Prompto whined. "Noct doesn't mind, sure he won't complain only dusts and dirt, eeezee clean!"
"And I assume I'm the one who does the cleaning, bathing, monitor your proper nutrition, and babysit you? Think again." Ignis questioned ominously, deepening his voice at the last sentence to get on Prompto nerves.
Prompto eventually deflated his posture by sliding his feet down to the charcoal carpet and groaning the advisor nagging. Sighing in defeat, he lifted his camera again and shot the beautiful landscape of Eos. Gladio snapped his book and stored into the Regalia, enjoying the gale slipped between his mane.
"The glaives become the most popular Lucians in the continent." Gladiolus spoke up. "Especially the selected one who were by a few with sigils, you heard?"
"Ah, yes, only a couple I've heard received a blessing of the Just. As well as new discovery of Warrior and Oracle in one month, marvelous." Ignis replied, inspecting Gladio in the back seat and back on the road.
"Was this similar to your alternative world?" Gladiolus asked his friend to display his thought.
"Yes, but it was scarced and dangerous to traverse difficult time through the long night."
"More power equal more accessibility?" Prompto include his number, understanding the glaives and Hunters roles after his stay in Lestallum.
"Correct, the Archean averted the meteor falling into Eos, resulting in the rest of the shard scattered across Lucis."
"Lotsa picking if you ask me." Prompto said, lowering his camera to observe his strategist comrade.
"If you live out in the countryside, it's handwork. Living in the big city than surrounded by nature makes you lazy." Amicitia expresses a flippant humor.
"Yeah, that's why we have you!"
"For what?"
Prompto turns his head to Gladio from his seat and sneered. "Well, duh! You're our walking survival manual guide!"
Gladiolus snorted and avoided his eye contact. Expressing his opinion by ramming his knee at Prompto seat, causing him to feel his back arched slightly. He leered at Ignis eagerly.
"And Iggy is our cooking manual guide!"
"And that 'manual guide' does the prep and fill your stomach? Not to mention the advising of lacking in self-care, numerous council to avoid endangerment of you?" Ignis retored, his face twitched.
"Uh, you should probably cut out the self-care. That's a Noct chore." Prompto stated his case.
Ignis sighed feebly. He's not wrong... It's going to be a long day.
Prompto zoomed into coernix bypass, and from the distance, it is an abandon stronghold. There were two roads, which Ignis took a shorter route to reach Coernix Station. Prompto leer through his active camera, inspecting what caught his brilliant blue eyes. He squinted his eyes, blinking a couple of times and growl underneath his throat in confusion. With a click image through Ignis, the advisor slightly moved his head but never let his eyes off the road.
It's completely ordinary for Prompto to pile up pictures throughout their journey, but why him?
The Prompto everyone knows always expresses a genuine smile while taking pictures of glorious and worthwhile to remember. Of course, cheerful and excited as they relieved on camping or motel to share delightful or cursed images of them getting shocked by a flask of thunder.
Prompto lowered his camera, eyes furrowed in bewilderment, and it began to test his patience due to his curiosity or an interest. Argentum raised his camera to his face again, and another soft click from his camera. Leveling his camera to his chest, the noise from Prompto of demented person who showcased his discovery... or perhaps... intend to attract his attention.
And Ignis felt nebulous. "What troubles you?" His voice tendered in concern.
Prompto poised was never disturb. He was crisp into one particular spot, which is Astral War aftermath. His eyes almost contact his camera to identify an unusual glow. It was faint, and Prompto murmured. "Huh... Huhh..."
"Stop with that nonsensical jibberish and spill it." Gladio spoke up, clamoring Argentum.
Prompto ignored the Shield, rather a request to the driver. "Couldja' pull over?"
"Perhaps we should reside the next parking spot for a better yield? If it's photography, I understand your passion, but can it wait after we finish our expedition?" Ignis queries his friend on the passenger seat.
"No, I would love to take more, but I've got Astral War aftermath in storage. It's just something... weird." Prompto explained, his voice sounding stern.
Gladio straightened his back, resting his elbow on his knee. "As if how weird? We've already dealt with new grounds since a few weeks ago."
"Nah, either my eyes deceived me or my mind playing tricks? Because the pictures I've taken over Iggy don't appear and to my eyes, it looks really really familiar."
Ignis pondered Prompto decisive remark, who said it was true, and he gently pressed the brakes and decelerated the speed of the Regalia. Taking a gently turn on the right side of the road, nearly inches on the rail. Hauling to a stop, stationed to park and turn off the engine. Gladio described a hassle groan as Prompto exited the vehicle, glancing both ways for incoming cars and sprinting to the left side of the rail. He leaned his stomach onto the rail, using his camera to inspect the area of interest. Ignis closed the door, meeting heels with Gladio on his left, and the two strolled to Prompto tip-toed on his fancy boots.
"See anything?" Gladio questioned his comrade, who was arching his entire back to the rail, merely close to tilt off on top of the highway.
Eventually, Prompto reeled his back straight and examined the Crownsguard officers. Offering his beloved camera to the big guy. "Here, Gladio, take a look at the Astral aftermath gigantic hole."
Gladio accepted the camera belonging to Prompto and peer through the lens. Zooming in far away where the history resided in Astal war, he raised a brow. Lowering the camera and lifting to his amber eyes. "The hell?"
"See? You see it too, right?" Prompto squeezed in to share his perspective and lightly gestured his head to the Shield pass it to Ignis.
Gladiolus nodded and handed the device to Ignis, who paused upon hearing his comrades respond in a flummoxed unearthing phenomenon. "Take a look at this."
Ignis accepted the camera and directed Prompto's camera to a specific spot. Gazing through the landscape, crystal clear filters of Astral War landmark, this is what the two refer to. Compared to different types of visuals, from a naked eye, the three transparently lay their eyes on shimmering blue light emanating in the escarpment of ancient Lucis.
This is not what he expected. The only one occurrence related to blue waves of energy is the crystal itself. Witnessing the images taken previously, it was abundantly visible to their understanding. The exact same page, the trail of magic potent radiantly in the transparent maelstrom of crystalline power derive by the Astral. Prompto tapped on Ignis's arm, resting on the rail.
"I think it's a crystal power glowing from the distance?" Prompto assumed, glancing to Ignis and Gladio.
"The Crystal is in the Keep, isn't it?" Gladio questioned, catching his bearing of uncertainty.
"Yeah, based on quality pictures I snapped, it didn't appear in any of them. It's obviously clear, well, darker than a blue baby skies." Prompto according to mention in disturbing tone, perplexing the situation at concurrent time.
"Damn, I'm lost. I know for the fact Ardyn isn't playing games with us. Any ideas, Iggy?" Gladiolus quizzes his brethren.
Ignis didn't reply to either of them. He evaluates the scenario of reoccurring traumatic events played in the back of his memory. His eyes squinted by the light—blinded of its ability to resurrect him and healed Prompto and Gladiolus for all the trials they endured for him. The sensation of enchantment coursing through his veins, burning and dissolving his flesh for a paid price.
And Ignis held his forehead, wincing in pain. The buzzing sound hummed eerily into his consciousness. The cobalt flames—the voice echo nailed into his consciousness and testified his worthiness to save the King. The apparition of knights, persecuting him for not a bloodline, and the victimization of sacrilegious righteousness. The buzzing entity humming through his head, voice of past kings and queens tyrannize.
If thou dost wish to save the King, a sacrifice must be made.
The world means nothing to me, do it as your wish. But I refuse to let Noct sacrifice his life to save ours.
I'll...I'll do anything—anything for him. I will forge my contract and sacrifice my life for him.
Thou wish for power shalt be granted—for your blood.
Both of his knees buckled, eyes pulsing with enchanting power, holding his Zwill Crossblades on his left hand.
Please... no, forgive me.
And there was Noctis—a silhouette of the prince he was willing to throw his life away, kneeling in front of him inside a black voided space, filled with a tense aura of magic around him. Loneliness and disheartening, Noctis knees to the ground, grasping his right hand, eyes imploring.
He saw it all—an illusion taunting him it'll be his last. The beautiful memory he'll never forget is meeting Noctis at age 6. Seeing the prince frusterated and fearful face of Noctis brisk into nothingness, and Ignis froze. The crystalline highlighted figure of a knight with armor peered down upon him. One of them was Regis Lucis Caelum. The figure of Regis rises, shunning away the king and queen of old and hover above him.
And Ignis obliged, throwing his life away for another as he mutually agreed to forge a contract. He propelled to his feet, facing reality, and met with Ardyn once again. Then, he recalled risking his life, causing his vision, hearing, and his arm as a price. Dreadful and magic throbbing his body, melting away into ashes, his heart punctured of tribulation, the advisor battle was decided.
And he was saved by Noctis.
Now, onto the matter at hands, secret lies in Eos itself begged to be found by the closest of Noctis. Meeting the most important kings and queens of old, they sounded restrained—bind to its bade of their calling. And they Crystal, the mysterious voice was aiding them. What path lies ahead may be the end of them if the Draconian is after them in the shadows.
Find us... The truth lies here... Onward to fulfill the promise of the true king, savior of the—
A deep menacing voice echoed... cutting off hundreds of voices in one solemn speech.
What are thou doing in here?
Befall the world around him, he saw a shadowy figure thousands of miles, large scaled size of three mountains stood firmly, enormous humanoid with armor—multiple of strange blades.
It was... leering at him.
A little human—no, a glaive, here?
It inspects closely, the Crystal lead him into a space unknown to his knowledge. Aura of magic, blue encased of crystalline light, and a sense of prison.
You should not exist here. But, mankind presence in the Beyond... fascinating me.
Ignis raised his daggers, only to realize it didn't appear to his grasp from armiger. Resilient, Ignis didn't budge and slipped into offensive stance without his reliable combat armaments. The numbers were at least of his favor because the shadow image was—
Oh? Defying me, you choose?
It blinked, slamming its humongous sword to the invisible floor indignantly. It realized the Great One encountered the problem he was silently assassinating him.
The adversary!
Ignis has a sinking feeling this isn't going to end well. The Astral wasn't too pleased and readied its crystallized Ultima around the fiend and hurling towards him.
Let it be done!
It was—
Bahamut.
N-no! I will avenge his death! I refuse!
Before the ultimate skill unleashes to shred him in pieces, there was wisps of light, mesmerizing golden pure energy, and engulfed him whole, vanishing Ignis where he stood. The blades of light meant to capture his soul, but an entity warped him before Bahamut began his trial.
And Bahamut snarled.
The marathon running through his desolation trance came into sense as he felt a hand clasp on his left shoulder of comfort. The advisor thinks back to his universe, enduring his blindness, and there was always a hand of confidence. Ignis was unconsciously holding his head due to headaches, causing a fretting gaze from the two. He blinked behind his spectacles, realizing their faces of concerned people he knew them as brothers since adolescence.
He felt an arm wrapped around Ignis's right arm, recalling Prompto helping him during the hardest time. His eyes implore and disconcerted of his status.
"Hey," Gladio reassured his friend. Amicitia easily enough to understand his body language and allay in assurance. "Talk to us."
After an angst experience, he shook his head one time softly, recessed his consciousness, and focused the senses on his surroundings. He tried to control his aggravated foreshadowing, and he sensed Bahamut knew who he was! Quite troublesome...
Dare he share his burden on his closest? He was always quiet in the group, suppressing his feelings and refusing to be an encumbering letdown.
Howbeit, Ignis persona is responsible and reserved type to support his comrades. After the Altissia incident, the four of them have seen his recklessness firsthand...
Yes... of course! Ignis realized how much Prompto and Gladio emotions at play were because of him! It's no wonder Prompto purposely calls him 'Ma' in high resolution. And for Gladio, he kept him close since his awakening. An irrational output to even mask his arguable struggles to himself—his strength of character has evolved and prospered their friendship beyond their invisible wall of self-conscious. His comrades already knew the answer, and Ignis spoke up weakily in honesty as his eyes shut tight.
"A bit touched is all."
Prompto released his soothing grasp of comfort to his friend and spoke up loudly. "Igs, don't worry, I guess I know how you feel about... dilemma that'll haunt you. Look, we're here for you, and don't you sweat it!"
"Is it about two months ago?" Gladiolus asked his comrade in calm demeanor, knowing his connection with the advisor sense of direction. He suffered years of war throughout his time.
Ignis didn't make a full intent, but it's obvious he nodded impulsively in petite motion.
Amicitia noticed his breathing began to decline in sync. Ignis refused to open his eyes, and his movement was a red flag. Gladio released the grip on his shoulder, snagged the camera from Ignis right hand, who wasn't fazed, and handed back to the owner. Gladio directed his right arm around Ignis back, using him for support, his left arm planted to his chest. Gladio realized Ignis status was off... perhaps stasis or vulnerable? Weakened? Drained?
Gladio guided Ignis away from the rail and crossed the street, returning to Regalia at a slow pace. Ignis managed to drag his own, but Gladio knew something wasn't right. Prompto followed suit, growing mass stress about Ignis current health.
"Ignis?" Prompto sounded frantic. The kid they all loved on witry has become timid of his bretheren.
"Door," Gladio demanded urgently to Prompto.
Prompto hurriedly cast himself to the driver seat door and slipped off as Gladio shifted the advisor to the seat. Ignis grunted and struggled to enter, but he opened his eyelids halfway to correct himself. Ignis slumped slightly, Gladio pulled out a Hi-Elixir, and proffer to Ignis.
"My thanks..." Ignis' voice sounded hoarse and elucidated unintentionally. Like in combat, in emergency first-aid to crush the potion and shimmering throughout their body without checking the injury and potentially leave a scar or life threatening, consuming a potion offers an alternative recovery solution to sink in and heal naturally in a slow, corresponding time. Which is beneficial to check dangerous debris inside a body without taking out it could harm the important organs.
And Ignis crushed the potion, allowing the component radiantly glowing of lavarish green healing evaporated into his body. He took a deep breath, hearing his right side of the door opened and Prompto struck in the passenger seat.
"Maybe we should avoid that?" Prompto suggested in concerned.
"No," Ignis abruptly cut the suggestion. "We have to go there in our next objective. It's—"
Ignis catches his breath. Worried for Prompto and Gladiolus, but voices were directing him nonetherless. "It's my promise. But dangers if we proceed into the depths of the Crystal power."
"So it is the crystal magic from the distance." Gladio affirmed. "Jus' when we needed it, but it'll have to wait cus' Aranea is heading to Ravatogh tomorrow after our job is done."
"Yeah, but Iggy, you look like you ate a poisonous mushroom. Not like, hypothetically, but yea. This is the crystal communicating you mostly." Prompto tried to cheer the mood of his current health.
"It's Bahamut..." Ignis said briefly, his curled index finger resting his chin to express pensive thought.
Prompto made a huge gulp. "Y-you mean...?"
"Did the Draconian try to hurt you?" Gladio inquired, distressing tone leveled.
"Yes," Ignis replied truthfully.
Gladiolus face expression in surprised and concerned. The presence of the crystal flow attempt to harass him telepathically. "So the Great One beckons more apparent, huh."
"Whoa, really? If that's really the case, like, so sure we're walking into a trap?" Prompto gasped and continued, feeling doubtful to proceed into the aura.
"You're right, Prompto." Ignis said briefly. "But I doubt it was. The mysterious voice is different compared to Bahamut."
"And?" Prompto argued. His face was written in worrisome expression. "Like, what if it was an imitation of Luna? Just luring us into our funeral?"
"'What if' is we got to try. It's better standing there and doing nothing as Noct walk into his own trap." Gladio assured.
"I know, but..." Prompto trailed off, frowning. He lay his eyes of loving and caring look at the two. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly because Gladiolus was right—this is for Noctis. "You're right, I'll take my chances. Sorry Iggy."
"We all take risk." Ignis concurred with Argentum by nodding once. "And soon we speed our priorities, then here."
"Well, we gotta go there sooner or later, right? It could tell us that Crystal has more potential than we actually believed in." Prompto added to appease his comrades with hope.
"If the Crystal is relaying the message, what about my dream?" Gladio is referring to his dream of young Noctis during his high school. "I ain't abusing the ring. Telling us where to go specifically is one thing left out."
"And Ravus." Prompto throwing out his thought.
Ignis didn't evaluate in words. Rather, he gestured his left arm high, index finger pinpointing the lookout area they were standing, and explained the aura of magic at the trench of Astral War landmark. The two guided their heads to their friend, directing Ignis motioned his head.
"I believe it's the Crystal influence." Ignis replied.
"Meaning?"
"The mana flow." Ignis finalized his analysis.
"Is that one way Glaives managed to access their power again?" Prompto questioned. The situation when glaives attack Ravus ship was insane because Regis and Noctis cease to exist.
"I believe so." Ignis guessed.
"I guess that makes sense." Prompto nodded and scanned his friend on the driver seat. His voice grew concerned of bespectacled well-being. "Are you okay, Specs?"
Ignis nodded, using his right hand to grasp the wheel of Regalia. He adjusted his spectacles and closed the door. Prompto leaned back to his seat, seat belt, and eyes forward. Although, he kept checking on him occasionally if his health show signs.
Gladio crank his sore right arm and went around Regalia, preferring to enter the passenger seat. "Don't push yourself, Iggy."
"I'll be fine. We don't have a luxury to linger any further here. The glaives are expecting us." Ignis declared, grasping the wheel and turning on the engine. The Regalia rolled through the road without distraction.
Deep within the hole, a figure stood, watching the three boys left the scenery. It held its armored hand gesturing at them suspiciously, attempting to perform diabolical ritual. Lowering its hand, it smiled wickedly and disappeared into the shadow.
x~~~~~x
The three boys in black finally arrived at Coenix Station, where they could get some stretches and parked their Regalia safely here as they scurried through the road, leading to downstairs of nature. It was already 15:10 p.m., and the boys tread through the silt and pebble roadway.
Around the vast field where the four, including Noctis, faced a formidable serpent larger than the skyscraper building, Midgardsormr was nowhere to be seen. They engaged the monstrous snake that consumed hunters during Noctis' journey, obtaining Swords of the Wanderer weapon of Royal arms.
Descending the hill, the three reached the waterfall, where a secret tunnel lies behind. There was a unique assault craft parked above the mountain. Not entirely black and red signature color of Niflheim, nor Aranea ship was enveloped in red passionate air superiority, the ship was capsule of embroidery symbolic Oracle painting. Plus, a blue and golden banner blanket the ship and a touch of embellish blue sylleblossom insignia. From the distance, there were two already presented Glaives waved at them eagerly to the best Crownsguard officers. The male approached Ignis, who was leading the party.
"Sir, ready at your disposal." The male saluted and nodded to Gladiolus and Prompto.
"Splendid, what is your name so it'll be appropriate to call your initial." Ignis asked the two glaives.
"Yura." The male commenced his name officially.
"I'm Jenica." The female glaive responded, her brunette haired ponytail slightly moved as she nodded.
Prompto rose to the glaives, "Hiya," pulling out his camera of them and the waterfall of Glacier Grotto. "Nice pose!" And a click of the image, leaving two glaives baffled to comprehend.
"Don't worry about him," Gladio acknowledged and resumed. "Let's get to business—How was the training with Ravus?"
"Adaptable, sir, understanding the ship's command configuration is challenging but manageable. The king was delighted to tutor us." Yura explained.
"Nice, so you're piloting that ship stationed above?" Gladio mentioned.
"No, sir," Jenica responded calmly. "The King of the Oracle is currently the captain, awaiting your arrival."
Prompto stuffed his camera back into his pocket and raised a brow in surprise. "Oh wow! Can he see us as ants down there?"
"No, Prompto, you should've asked Ravus is considered here instead of training Glaives." Ignis fixated his friend blue eyes and back to the stationary ship. "I assume for transport the tomb?"
The two glaives nodded simultaneously and promoted the advisor review. Yura took a few steps ahead and offered a fist that contained a metallic tool with a red button. Ignis noticed the trinket sort of device. Before the tactician develops a query, the male glaive spoke up.
"A signal transmitter. This will alert the ship to our location, and King Ravus will proceed to drill a hole to our escape and extract the tomb without damaging the structure."
Ignis nodded once and stored the device to his hidden jacket pocket. "Thank you."
Gladio looked at the glaives in a stern stance. "Are you ready, Glaives?"
"Roger." Yura complied the highest rank. Jenica stiffened her pose, arms straight down to represent herself as a warrior.
"Yes officer!" Jenica followed after Yura undying promise to the liege of appointed future King.
Prompto strolled between them, gesturing his thumb to the mouth of the cave behind the magnificent waterfall. It created a rainbow as he gaped slightly and mumbled. "Sick photo op hands down, now time to freeze and suffer the intolerable cold!"
Gladio and Ignis watched the young man skiping through the incline bumpy landscape without care. Two glaives proceeded to trail his heels afterward, and the Crownsguard officers followed them last. "There he goes, carefree in the world."
"Until he gets in there, his entire demeanor changes." Gladio reflected.
"So I gathered."
The three got a head start, turning on their torches. Prompto was rubbing his bare arms, his lungs ejecting hot breath into the cold, making it visible, and shivering slightly as he, Yuna, and Jenica descended.
Ignis and Gladio entered, and the vision of light took several minutes to adjust the darkness. Although for Ignis, it was less than 10 seconds, he was used to the darkness. Upon stepping foot into a compacted cave filling their footsteps around the tunnel, Gladio paused, causing Ignis to halt with him.
"Something a matter?"
"Yeah," Gladio continued and looked to Ignis. "How are you holding up."
"Black," Ignis replied respectfully, describing his status meant their style of alive and moving. Perhaps Prompto and Gladio were worried about his sudden illness around the crystal mana becoming problematic, and he despised the attentiveness of others' interest in his well-being and preferably his brother's health. "Here and well."
Gladio averted his eyes from Ignis to the party ahead of them. He nodded once and strolled through the darkness. "Just let me know if anything changes."
"Think nothing of it, not like a little sickness prevent me—the tomb is our task."
Gladio huffed in response, turning on his torch on his attire. Ignis switched his light source on his belt and followed heels as last.
With good memory, the three friends of Noctis trailed through the cold cave filled with echo, stalactites, and fun with daemons. Yura attracts daemons, risking his safety of others, and Jenica protects her party. Prompto was wary using his Executioner in a dark, eerie cave, but he is talented with bullets than any glaives. Shooting the weak points of Imps never fails, especially limited vision. Though, their torch emitted a good amount of lights in a party of five.
Gladiolus and Ignis, however, were the main reliable combat systems. Ignis is using spelldagger with his Zwill Crossblades and blitz through the army of Imps, Flans, and Ice bombs. Prompto provides using his starshell to distract and brightens the bellowing cave of daemons. Gladiolus Iron Duke eradicated mobs of Imps in one simple Tempest Glaive arts. Yura uses his katana and warp strike to annihilate the remaining Imps that staggered through the cave.
Gladiolus associated a good synergy with the glaives magic ability to warp and strike. Yura and Gladio performed a link strike as Yura strike down and cleave the disgusting Flans in mush. Not very effective on physical weapons, but their performance and offense was spot on. Eventually, he secretly assigned Yura a task without letting anyone notice his suggestion, and Jenica responded by bowing.
"Brrrr! It's colder as we go deeper." Prompto commented, blowing warm breaths to his stiffened hands.
"And you didn't grab a jacket this time? We've been here before, and you just can't recall our fair share travels?" Gladio retorted. The cold never bothered the tank, so Prompto grimanced.
"Dude, it's called 'rushing me in a hurry'! Didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Cindy!" Prompto whined.
"For a month in Lestallum, sure." Gladio acted jointly after Prompto excuses.
Prompto huffed out of Irk by kicking a small rock in front of him. Crossing his chest with arms as he walked steadily, balancing himself on slippery ground encased of ice.
Ignis, Yura, and Jenica witnessed the two mishaps. Yura interested peaked as he leaned to the advisor. He lowered his voice to a whispering. "Is this normal for higher-ups?"
"Yes." Ignis regrettably replied.
The tactician removed his fancy jacket, claiming the trinket from the pocket into his exquisite leather pants and rose to Prompto, proffer his coat. Netting Argentum full contact of his brilliant blue eyes, blinking, and shaking his head.
"Nah, I don't really need it."
"I insist you must be freezing."
Prompto didn't want to upset his friend. He hesitantly accepted the jacket and looked at his awesome friend. "How about we take turns?"
"Sounds like an excellent plan." Ignis smiled.
Prompto smiled to Ignis, admiring his consideration and selflessness. He accepted his warm body heat jacket and trotted through the cave warmly. Ignis rolled down his courel insignia purple sleeve down to his wrist, realizing his scars were visible from the aftermath. Concerns of the Lucians prejudiced his appearance, he take action and concealed his veins stretched throughout both arms.
Luckily, the cave was dark. Fortunate enough, the ashes were clearly nonexistent, but only distinguishable scars and faint markings that he hoped people would assume a heavy battle—a notable battle he endured in Altissia would cover up. The downside is that if anyone sees his bare skin that matches the description for any traitor uses the ring could potentially put him in danger.
Jenica approached Scientia just as he masked his scars in nick of time. Her presence caught his attention, and she spoke lowly. "You have a good heart, sir."
Ignis nodded once in little measurement. Examining the two glaives that are beside him on both sides. The glaives were unusually close to Ignis. Perhaps his status was evident to even detect in the darkest cavern filled with distractions, frost, and willing to throw at them ruthlessly?
Jenica continued, gently and soothing voice to surpress her private conversation. "You remind me of... me. Not only did I choose to wield a shield, I possessed a strong deployable shield, as their lives are under my watch—I was blessed by a queen sigil."
"Hence, you are a phenomenal partner to work with." Yura admitted. He is looking over Ignis to meet her lovely brown eyes. She let out a wide grin to appreciate the compliment. Ignis took matters in interest and proceeded to reach Gladiolus and Prompto. The two glaives trailed behind him, summoned their weapons from armiger in case of surprise attack.
Gladio noticed Prompto wore Ignis coat, which is fairly reasonable for bare arms of his. The five gathered and onward deeper within the chilly cavern. They encounter a slope, slippery and icy, and will definitely freeze their cheeks. It is a difficult task to bring a tomb from this environment. Luckily, Ravus was helping out above the mountain.
"Ah! The slide of death!" Prompto blunted loudly, his voice carry through the cavern, especially targeted the slope. His voice echoed death all the way into the slide.
"Easy way down." Gladiolus announced.
"A long way up." Prompto agreed to contrast the concept. "Who's going first?"
"You like fun, so be my guest."
Ignis rose behind them, standing between the two comrades, analyzing the unknown slope. His right arm wrapped around his stomach area and free hand with a curled index finger resting his chin. Prompto crept behind Ignis without notice. The glaives behind them heard death, and they expressed highly stung of overwrought.
"Are you certain this is the path?" Yura questioned in acutely distressing tone.
"Oddly enough, yes." Ignis attempted to relieve the glaives. "Noct found the tomb scurry deep into the Grotto, simply enough to re—TRACE! Promptoooo!"
The strategist inferred his experience to relief concerns of the galives after Prompto boomed the cavern slide of death out of humor, but it was unexpected, and Ignis yelled as he was pushed into the icy slide. The last word was Ignis screaming of Prompto as it grew faint, causing Yura and Jenica eyes widen in shock.
"Sir! What have you done?!" Yelled Yura.
"Officer!" Jenica yelled in dismay.
Prompto nonchalantly strolled and pulled out his camera, back turned on the mouth of the slide, and took a selfie of a blue clear tube of chilly cavern. His heels rock backward and whoop in delight, sliding on his back and viewing Gladio with the glaives that haven't joined him. The entertainment of his voice shouted of glee and excitement, fading farther away, and vanished from the distance. This caused the glaives to grow frantically.
"Relax," Gladio acknowledged and resumed. "He likes to joke around. This isn't a death sentence, but there is a safe area at the bottom—the tomb is down there." And so Amicitia hopped in.
Yura and Jenica hesitated, exchanging glances of skepticism. The Crownsguard officer has experienced this type of event in the past, elaborating Noctis already obtained the royal weapon. Reluctantly, Yura took a deep breath and eventually decided to join the fray. Jenica stiffened and watched the male lunge himself into the slide and scream in fright. She was stubbornly afraid of unknown caves but never doubted the Crownsguard words. And she was the last to fling herself into the slide.
Either the glaives were enjoying the breeze of gravity pushing through them at top speed or screaming out of their life for painless death. Surely Gladio and Promptk were expressing true amusement again. Prompto was taking selfies as he slid down the icy tube and adjusted himself before he landed on his cranium. The ride ends of the unexpected slope, and he falls, baring his footing briefly. Until he toppled on his own weight because the acceleration speed threw his balance off, and he rolled two times. Encouraging his weight onto his back and prone on both knees on the cold hard floor, both palms met the floor.
Heaving slightly in relief for no damage occurred, he spied two pairs of elegant shoes on his peripheral vision. The one he haphazardly forced him to slide down without consent was giving a penetrating glare that could scare an Astral.
"Oh, hey, Specs..." Prompto felt his nerves froze in place, yelling his molecules to run to a familiar comrade, and possibly his demise.
"Jacket." Stretching out an arm hastily.
"It was nice knowing you, Ignis coat." Prompto sighed heavily, visible breaths as he dismantled his buddy jacket. He thrusts his jacket, and Ignis snatched his belongings rudely. He opposes no argument, but he wore his jacket and Prompto photo-shoot his friend in the cave randomly.
Gladio landed right beside Prompto as he propelled himself slowly. Shrugging his attire in the right direction, he observed his comrades. Surprisingly, Prompto is alive. He would've suffered years of merciful from Ignis by now.
The two glaives arrived shortly after, aiming their weapon to the ground to cushion their speed, Yura threw his katana on the ground beside Gladio, and Jenica warped towards Yura in instant. They were both panting, and breaths became mixed of transparent and opaque in the chilly air.
"You're alright, officers?" Yura immediately asked.
"Yes." Ignis replied and resumed, staring at Prompto briefly and back to the glaives. "Perfectly unscathed."
Prompto awkwardly chuckled and elbowed his friend, showing no sympathy after his loosened humor in a serious quest. Gladio cranked his arm to tense his muscle and nodded at the glaives, strolling down the tunnel.
They continued scurry deep into the caverns, passing through stalactites and minor Imps lingering around. It was an easy task because Gladio and the glaives performance was high grade amazing grade. Ignis and Prompto stick together as they follow the three behind. There was another ice slide, and the five leaped in to proceed their search.
Reaching the end, they were ambushed by Ronin and Arachne. In an offensive battle taken place, Yura kept them distracted by clapping his hands aggressively, and they took the bait. Prompto kept his distance and spilled bullets flying at Ronin. Gladiolus held his shield to fortify its instant death arts at perfect parry, befret Ronin attack and briefly exposed its blind spot. Gladio slam his installed shield to the Ronin, throwing its guard down and shock-wave the samurai daemon. It knelt, and Prompto crack shot three times with a satisfying smile.
Ignis and Jenica cooperated, keeping Yura and him safe, Scientia uses fire spelldaggers against Arachne, exploited weakness, and blitz them without breaking a sweat. Yura attracts Tarantulas and Yura surprise attack by summoning his katana from armiger and sweeping up the rest.
An extraordinary pace to work together in proper roles against the menacing night monsters, and the parry continues. The five reached a dead end, but the only way was to shimmer across the cold enriched wall. Reflecting their appearances in vague, glorious iceberg colored wall.
At the end of the tunnel, the boys recover their memories that they encounter Mindflayers, three of them trying to mutilate glaives were on front, wielding their weapons in alert. In the small icy tundra, the left resides in the tomb of the Wanderer. Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis strolled, grasping their weapons at their hands. No life signs were detected, so the party dismissed their armaments. Prompto checked his ammo as Jenica watched the young friend's back as they proceeded.
"We're here." Ignis strolled inside the resting place of superiority reign.
Gladio was beside Ignis, examining the exact sculpture from every tomb they encountered. He sneezed, using his bented elbow to conceal in manners. After a catch, he noticed Ignis pulled the trinket that Yura recommended.
Analyzing the device, his thumb was hovering the red button. Before he pressed the button to release a signal, Yura entered hurriedly, concerned on his face. "Do not press it here."
Ignis lowered the tool and blinked behind his cleared prescribed lens. His serious expression of regretful decisions may endangered his comrades. Yura continued, halted his pace, and forgotten his manners. "The signal wave will let the Majesty of Tenebrae launch a laser strong enough to penetrate the crust of the star core."
Ignis nodded, removing his thumb and exiting the sacred grounds. Gladio stayed put as Prompto slipped through Ignis passage. Watching the strategist increases his pace outside the strongest reinforce dome concrete made in obsidian and rarest concrete made by Lucians.
"Someone's on a run, huh." Prompto lightly humored as he rose to Gladiolus beside the gigantic tomb.
"Just activating the device for Ravus." Gladiolus announced, crossing his bare chest with beefy arms.
"Then I assume we wait in here?" Prompto quiz his friend, scrutinizing the unique statues around the structure.
"Yes," Jenica entered after Prompto in seconds, raising her shield in an instant. "It's giving us a countdown in ten!"
Jenica power intensified as she deployed her shield, and massive pure crystalline power enveloped the entire room. Prompto jittery response and snapped, peering at the gaping entrance thanks to Noctis unlocking the door on previous travels. "What about Ignis?"
"I'm here." It was Ignis, who rushed in cautiously. "The signal is transmitted on the far right of us. Brace yourself!"
The parry clutches the nearby tomb and the structure as Jenica remains stationary, executing her shield size enough to silk the entire interior. In seconds, there was an explosion strong enough that toppled a couple of mysterious ancient statues that began to tilt towards Yuna. He wasn't aware of a ton object tilting, and Gladio instinct kicked in. He hustled to Yuna, summoning his Aegis shield and deflecting the large sculpture to the left.
Jenica felt pressured, and her mana began to shred, but knowing lives were in jeopardy, she took a study, breath, and focus. Debris flying from the entrance, causing the entire dome cracked visibly. Dust and particles piling above the shield, making its way downward from the crystalline small hexagonal platter sphere. Harsh unpunished gale swept in, the crystalline shield can not protect the filters.
Prompto jumped onto Ignis and hugged him, causing Scientia to bear his weight to the tomb. Trembling by his and Prompto weight, he nearly slammed his right cheek on the tomb, arms wrapped around the tomb as Prompto embraced on his waist. As Ignis forcefully leaned on the tomb, there was an ominous sensation.
Something was unusual as he contacted the tomb. His senses snapped his attention, and voices of sombering voices can be heard, unidentified, and mystifying to understand. His head screeching his own thought, emerging with another influence, battling his mind.
...un.
The sudden earthquake subsided, the explosion silenced, and the clarity became clear from smokes. The party coughed violently to remove excessed earthy gust of air. Eventually, the five regained their stability, Prompto released the unexpected grip on his friend, and Gladio rose to the entrance.
"Is everyone alright?" He commad his party in alert. He checked on Yura, who nodded in silence.
"I'm sooooo glad we got a walking manual guide with us, then we'll be done for." Said Prompto as he was referring to Yura, coughing lightly.
Jenica descended her arms, which relinquished her barrier due to exhaustion, but she nodded to affirm herself. Noted, Prompto wits never ceased, and Gladio looked at Ignis, who slumped on the tomb, slowly straightening his legs, grunting under his breath.
"Iggy?"
...lee at... ... ... trap... ... Great one...
Ignis didn't reply and held his forehead desperately to comprehend the brief relay. Prompto grew worried and rose to his friend, patting his back and peek into Ignis perspective. He knew the spilittng headache told him that disturb the advisor. Ignis eventually shook his head once and leveled his head towards his friends.
"We have to get out, now."
Gladio looked at the glaives, gesturing his arm to scout ahead and approached his friend. "What's wrong?" His voice tendered and reassured his friend lack of credence.
Ignis blinked several times, noticing Prompto and Gladio were worried and eyes locked on him. He let out a sighed and realized his left palm is resting on the tomb.
"The tomb, I sensed something or someone is reaching me." Ignis declared, his voice scratched dry from the aftershock of explosion.
"Really?" Prompto eyes darted at his friend and decided to rub the coffin. "I mean, maybe it's haunted—"
You must flee...
Prompto felt a buzzing entity humming inside his thought as well and retracted his hand quickly in shock. "Whoa! I'm not interested in paranormal activity!"
"You too?" Gladio questioned. Eyeing the two bewilderment.
"Touch it Gladio," Prompto persuading his tall friend.
Gladio snorted, the audacity to consume valuable time on voices of past lives. The superfluous reaction is printed on his face, and he attended his own accord. He rests his large hand on the sculpture thigh.
...from the Great One!
Gladiolus spook his head briefly, eyeing the awed Prompto and green elegane eyes of Ignis. "Guess our line interline Noct's heritage." He admitted.
"Dang, it's just us we can hear?" Prompto asked, lost in his own expression to share.
"Mine said 'From the Great One.'" Amicitia called, didn't budge from his stance.
"Huh, mine is telling us to flee." Prompto said.
Ignis studied his friends and digested the conversation. He pondered the meaning, knowing the factor, it told it's a trap. His deciphering of missing speech came to bear in him, and he spoke up loudly.
"All of us connect with it." Ignis explained. "It's a message."
Prompto and Gladio nodded at each other. Prompto hesitantly accepted the touch of the cold cemented tomb, and Ignis was the last. The three grew silent, tensed, and meditated to connect their consciousness together with the cryptic message.
After five seconds, it was clear as day.
You must flee! It's a trap from the Great One! Trusted knights of the True King!
The voice echoes a man of old, solemn, and disconcerted. The three souls felt detached from their physical body—only a few seconds inside a pitch-black voided space dimensin. The three heard yelling from the distance, and they most certainly see each other separately, glancing at the source.
"...Officers!"
Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto thrive through, the voice continues.
Go, shall light be your guidance...
And light consumed them.
The three snapped open their eyelids, ear buzzing, flinching at the sensation, exchanging glances among the three within the room. Wordless to say, they're in the same space. Gladio turned his head to see Jenica entered the confined sacred resting post in concern.
"We're being ambushed by daemons. You must hurry."
Jenica raced off, throwing her shield out of the domain, and vanished. The Crownsguards and Prompto struck each another a glare. Regaining their bearing and Prompto spoke up, materialized his Executioner in crystalline power. "Another time?"
The two officers nodded in unison and proceeded to exit the only passage. Gladiolus rushed off in front, followed by Prompto and Ignis. The rubble was fairly reasonable to be hectic on footing; it appeared a giant hole above the cavern, molten rocks seeping, and rush of nature breeze flow through. Freshly debris and abstract dissolved ice mush with heat. The laser radiates heat and melts layers of sheer ice, formulating a muddy puddle. Exposing the first clearance of cavern rocky wall veins behind the ice emitted by warm sunlight for the first time.
Ignis collaborated his thoughts and roles of each comrades. The self-sustain such as Yura and Jenica can operate well with Gladio and Prompto. Although his concerns are trying to maintain the party without penalty. Seeing the glaives already in combat, Gladio and Prompto barbarity in sight. He could provide cover and attack blind spots for his party. Prompto kept his distance, which was less concerning for Prompto safety. How dire and stressful crowd control the scenario.
Despite the compacted space, there were four Mindflayers. One is missing several octolegs, and the three scattered to maintain its own agenda. Yura excellency appointed its tentacle appendages on the ground, coated with muddy silt. Marching footsteps directed his direction, focused at the officers, and he attempted to attract their attention. He clapped several times to mark him instead of others.
Prompto loaded his Executioner and unleashed the first shot. Bullets flying at the Mindflayer, he his eyes locked on. Common and accurate, a southern style stance and blaze the room filled with screeching metal and magic using Starshell. Witnessing the sudden light, one Mindflayer accidentally glides into the orange sunset exposed by a giant hole and begins to shriek and dissolve into nothingness.
"Hooooo boy, those Mindflayers reeks of havoc!"
Jenica hurled her shield, slammed her plate, and tackled the slimy daemon. It was the first shot to a nearby Mindflayer that began to glide towards Yura. Ignis followed behind Jenica, flurry of attacks with his dual wield Zwill Crossblades. Gladiolus stomped to the center, smashing his Iron Duke at the center. The small fleet stumbled, disturbing its menacing glare but never left Yura in sight, ejecting poisonous gas. A bitter taste on Yura because his appendages were missing. Yet, Yura evaded their noxious gas and grips of a skilled glaive.
Gladiolus channeled his strength and heavily cleave the monster beside the missing octolegs fiend. The second one hissed due to the collision radius of Gladiolus large weapon, it collapsed, but the stubborn and slimy ilk creature fought back as it wrapped a few of its tentacles on Yura, throwing him off guard. Bind his wrists, he was unable to leverage himself and summon his katana.
Yura sigil wears off, cutting down the strings from daemons craving for death and suffering, and how they have their keen interests. Ignis hurled his daggers at the tentacles bound Yura. It hissed, and Yura immediately summoned his katana and executed the clinging on its life a swift and painful death. Ignis analyzed the behavior and weaknesses, knowing fire is one. But during his surveillance, the one Jenica kept occupied has fled and rushed behind Prompto, expanding its body to lunge at him.
Acted out in surprise before Ignis shouted, it lurched on to his back, veil his comrade into a cocoon flurry of tentacles. His Executioner in grasp, refusing to unleash bullets without his sight. Instead, he attempted to resist the disgusting menace off of him. The sensation of losing his bearing, constricted, crushing his bare skin, Prompto weapon shattered back into armiger as he barely heard yelling of his first initial.
"Prompto!"
Ignis distressing voice attracts one daemon and Gladiolus as he marches his way to Ignis, gripping his hilt of the Iron Duke. Positioning himself to lunge at the incapacitated teammate, Ignis halted his friend by raising his arm defensively at him.
"No, you may hurt him as well."
Gladiolus nodded and immediately hovered his shield as the Mindflayer that caught its interest and attempts to embrace with dark spells. Pushing back the daemon as he intercepted his friend blind spot.
Ignis burst his fire total clarity arts, pinpointing the appendages and vulnerable spots without hurting Prompto. Hitting the weakest point of its horrific squid body and tentacles, the daggers glide in a phenomenal speed and punctured the Mindflayer incapacitated Prompto in bounds. It shrieked in dismay as fire was its weakness, burning its flesh and unceremoniously releasing Prompto to the ground, collapsing his entire body to the muddy puddle underneath him.
Prompto coughed violently, propelling himself with his own elbows to his palms. In a prone kneeling position, Ignis races to his side, knelt to one knee, and immediately scans his friend.
"Are you all right?" Said the worried strategist.
The dirty haired blonde by filth eventually deflated his posture and shot a glare to the disgusting daemon who lunged at him. Seething underneath his breath and yelled on top of his lungs, throwing his fist at the fiend.
"I am NOT into those freaky tentacle stuff!"
Well, that answer his question. Check.
Prompto hair was a mess, and within the unkempt of his hair, it began to pour blood. Ignis brushed his hair slightly with both thumbs to get a closer look. Splitting his lacy and hairspray wears off, his scalp has a deep gorge, assuming the beak of the daemon heavily cuts down, causing Prompto to flinch and act surprise in response.
"Huh? What's up with the touching..."
"You're bleeding, Prompto." Ignis responded quickly.
Did it not have occurred to him that a nerving sensation to his scalp was deeply cut without noticing? He doesn't seem confused, knowing Mindflayer ability to corrupt their prey into easy target. His motion of a struggle than what was harming him into action was his best guess.
"I am?"
His blood began to travel towards his left cheek, a prickled sensation of liquid traverse downward, and Prompto blinked wearily.
Just before Ignis pulled out a potion, Jenica, who warped Yura first to aid after splitting one in half, warped beside them, shouting out Cure spell on Prompto. Quick and simple, Prompto felt the stinging on his cranium subside temporarily. Ignis materializes his dual blades into his grasp and hurled a fiery enchanting blade to the remaining Mindflayers. Stood in front to defend his friend at a vulnerable state, he passed his supervision to Jenica healing spell. Prompto shook his head gently, wincing at the pain that finally registered.
"Prompto." Ignis spoke up to analyze his status, held his daggers firmly.
"A lil' headache, but thanks." He smiled faintly to Jenica as she responded a nod.
Jenica remained at his side, kneeling and casting cures, the gentle glow emanating the short lad. The cut in his scalp begins to repair and fiber together slightly. Knowing it'll leave a scar, but times like this, urgent care is a priority in survival. In common sense, in a battlefield, it has to be treated to stay on foot—fight for their lives is priority. But Prompto was thankful for her as he remained still.
It was only one left; Gladiolus and Yura finished off as Ignis tendered his comrade. Rejoining the fray, Ignis rushed in, blitz through, and slashed the daemon of flurry attacks. The Mindflayer was distracted by Yura Sigil, causing it to screech in pain. Gladiolus leaped forward and cleared the daemon in half. It melted into miasma, and nothing remains.
Gladiolus dismissed his Iron Duke and toss his gaze at Prompto, who leverages himself slowly by Jenica help. He approached his friend in concern, traction of heavy boots from the brute weight catches on.
"You okay?"
Prompto nodded weakily and spotted Yura waving gesturing through the hole, indicating the Oracle ship. It responded with several ropes, chains, and leather straps for the tomb. Ignis expresses concerns about his comrade, but at least the battle was over, and soon they'll reach the surface.
A/N—Sorry for delay, I had a rough month and depressed but it gotten better. Thank you for reading.
A review. :O multiple! Thank you! I appreciate you enjoying this so far. It's taking a while, but I enjoyed the story with the boys' journey, and of course, I planned everything. Gonna be a long one, but let's enjoy.
