The sun cast a warm, golden glow over the tranquil clover forest, painting the landscape in hues of green and gold. David and Lily strolled hand in hand through the dappled light, their footsteps softened by the thick carpet of clover beneath their feet. The air was filled with the gentle hum of breezes and the occasional rustle of leaves, creating a serene atmosphere that seemed to envelop them in a cocoon of peace.
Lily paused for a moment, her gaze sweeping over the picturesque scene before her. "Isn't it beautiful here?" she murmured, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips.
David nodded, his own eyes taking in the beauty of their surroundings. "It's like something out of a dream," he agreed, squeezing Lily's hand affectionately.
After a moment of comfortable silence, the female human turned to face her boyfriend, her expression serious. "David, there's something I need to tell you," she said softly, her voice tinged with a hint of nervousness.
David furrowed his brow, sensing the shift in her demeanor. "What is it, Lily?" he asked her, concern flickering in his eyes.
Taking a deep breath, the female human met her boyfriend's gaze, her heart pounding in her chest. "I'm pregnant," she blurted out, the words hanging in the air between them.
David's eyes widened in surprise, his mind struggling to process the news. For a moment, he was speechless, his thoughts swirling with a whirlwind of emotions. Then, without hesitation, he pulled Lily into his arms, holding her close.
"Wow," he whispered, his voice filled with wonder and awe. "That's incredible, Lily. We're going to be parents."
Lily buried her face in David's chest, tears of relief and joy pricking at the corners of her eyes. In that moment, surrounded by the beauty of the clover forest, they knew that their lives would never be the same.
