Hello everyone. Friendly Knight here welcoming you to Worlds Apart. I attempted this story sometime ago and ended up deleting my work. I am going to try and fix it up and turn it into my big project, while also rekindling my love for writing. As a warning, this story is rated M for language, blood, death, gore, sexual content, harem, Genderbends, and more. Not to mention AU's from lore I painstakingly made over several months (I get distracted easily). This story is told in third person, expect it to shift views from one character to another. Character thoughts will always be italics and author notes underlined. Thank you for your time, and enjoy your hopefullyweekly or biweekly story, monthly at worst. The crossover list is as follows: Star Wars, Starcraft, Mass Effect, Halo, Warmachine, Transformers, tmnt, Legend of Korra, Avatar, DC, marvel, Ben 10, Generator Rex, my hero academia, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Pokemon, Digimon, RWBY, Super robot wars (and more), Megaman, Metroid, Legend of Zelda, Fire emblem, and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Amidst the lawless fringes of the outer rim, an ex jedi master flew through space. The CSS-1 Corellian star shuttle she captained was under assault from pirates. Its shields were being taxed to their breaking point. She stood on call with master Yoda, worry plastered on her face as she spoke loudly. "We're under attack by pirates and need aid immediately. There are civilians on this ship. Families even." The Togruta looked back as the deflectors were struck by laser cannons. Her red skin glistened with sweat from the tension of this situation.

Yoda would look down, saddened by this before responding, "Assist you, we would. Make it, they will not." He admitted, knowing that by the time any Jedi peacekeeper reached them, they would either be destroyed or out of the system. The ex Jedi closed her eyes, understanding master Yoda's reasons. Laser fire pelted the ship, downing their deflector shields. With little choice, she ordered a random hyperspace jump. This was a dangerous maneuver as who knows where it would take them. Could be far off course, or in the middle of a star's gravity well. It was all up to the force now, and she knew it. The transmission would cut out as indirect laser fire struck the long range communications.

"No luck with the Jedi Aasha?" A Firrerreo asked. The woman stood before her partner, an ex Jedi knight unlike the master before her. Her golden skin was pale among her own species making her an unusual specimen of the usually secluded race. Piercing amethyst eyes gazed over at the Togruta through stray locks of golden hair. Aasha, the Togruta master, closes her eyes, unable to respond positively. One of her hand stroking her blue and white montral. The mechno-arm that made up her right arm, lightly trailed up those hollow horns in thought. "You could have mentioned we were carrying a ton of force sensitive kids and their families. That would have got them moving."

"And would have lost what little trust the council has in us." She retorted to her friend before sighing and preparing the hyperdrives. They had little choice left but to make the jump as the shields finally failed. Closing her eyes, the windows became opaque as they entered hyperspace. This was to prevent hyper-rapture, a madness that occurred from staring out into hyperspace for too long. Thankfully the CSS-1 was an oddly well armored ship, despite its role as a diplomatic transport. Only a few minutes later they exited hyperspace unexpectedly, being yanked out by the sudden entry into a gravity well. With a groan, the ex jedi looked out at the world before her. A blue ball with a large continent and many smaller ones around it. Looking out at the world, she couldn't help but smile. They were safe…for now. Slumping down in her seat, she activated a number of R-series astromech droids to initiate repairs on the ship's hull. "Tarmeia…coordinates." She sighed as she addressed the Firrerreo. As Tarmeia checked the coordinates of their hyperspace, Aasha looked at the damage report being transmitted by the astromechs…and a blinking light on the comms. "A distress signal?"

"Wouldn't surprise me. We're in the unknown regions. Probably someone that got unlucky with their hyperspace jump while pirates were attacking them. Trade federation maybe." Tarmeia dismissed the distress signal, engrossed in finding their current coordinates. That was until Aasha checked it. It was an automated signal. Simple, clean, and very alarming as it was coming from the South Pole under what may have been years of ice. It was this that caught the knights attention. "There is no way this signal has gone unanswered for so long. The world's populated. You can even see the lights from here."

"…Unless they're primitive enough that they don't have a way to pick up such a signal." Aasha sighed as she began the descent towards the South Pole. Tarmeia would have complained, but she knew once she set her mind on things, there was no changing it. The approach was uneventful, until they could see a small city made mostly of ice and igloo's. It was an impressive display of perseverance against the frigid environment. Aasha did her best to find a landing zone closer to the distress beacon, however the world seemed to have only hit its industrial era meaning they had no landing pads for ships. Having found flat enough terrain in the icy wastes, the shuttle landed, deploying its gear to do such. They were soon joined by an R3 unit, raising a brow from Aasha. "What is R3-5G?" She asked the droid which whirred, beeped, and made a bunch of strange noises. Tarmeia would look over before realizing something was off through the force.

"AASHA!" Using the force, she pulled the ex master as far away from the droid as possible…moments before it detonated. The explosion destroyed the cockpit of the shuttle, opening it to the cold air of the frozen south. Aasha groaned, reaching out to the knight that saved her only for her vision to go black as children cried loudly in the other rooms of the ship.

Minutes ago, an older man in orange and yellow clothes walked through the snow in a cold blizzard. His bald head was marked with blue arrow tattoos that ran along his body. The bearded fellow would be following the direction the shuttle had gone, having never seen such a machine in his life. Following behind him was an elderly woman, his mother, with tan skin dressed in a traditional blue fur coat and gloves. Her white hair, for a lack of better words, was dressed up in a bun with hair loopies. Another man, who was a lot bigger than the one in orange clothes, walked beside her in a similar garb. His black hair and beard stand out against his tanned skin. Behind these three were two other men dressed in helmets with a white lotus on them, an indigo outfit with white details, and a white lotus patterned mantle with indigo cape. It was now that they heard the explosion from the ship. "Hurry! We need to know what's happening up there. After the Red Lotus kidnapping attempt, we can't take any chances." The man in orange called out to the others, sending the senties forward. The two men quickly ran by as he helped his mother through the harsh climate. "Mother, I wish you stayed back at the compound with Korra. It's far safer there."

"I'm fine Tenzin. You should be more worried about who got hurt in that blast." She reassured him, while also reconfirming their mission. Tenzin, seeing his mothers worry for others, would only nod his head in agreement. "Tonraq. Could you please go see if people are in need of aid." She would smile at the other man, as she sincerely asked him to go ahead of them.

"Of course Katara." Tonraq, although leader of the southern water tribe, knew better than to dismiss her words. She was not only a healer, but a friend of the Avatar, and his daughter's teacher. In truth, the tribe relied on Katara more than anyone was willing to say. Running up the mounds of snow, he witnessed first hand the machinations of the larger galaxy. The CSS shuttle stood there with its front portion burning in the snow. One of the sentries was bending water to put out the fires as the other was removing those not caught in the blast from the ship. It was…odd seeing so many people of different races exiting the ship, even more so for them as they've never seen life off world. Tonraq, being a waterbender himself, used the snow, bending the water from it to a liquid state to help launch him into the burning front end of the ship. It was here he saw Aasha and Tarmeia. Although Aasha seemed to have escaped the worst of it, only bleeding from the abdomen, Tarmeia was in far worse condition. Tarmeia was cut, scraped, bruised, bleeding, and burned from the blast. Lifting the two over his shoulders, the water tribe chieftain showed a remarkable display of strength as he carried them out the hole in the ship he came from. "Katara! We need help urgently!" He called out.

Following his voice, the elderly woman approached the three as he set them in the snow. Focusing on the task at hand, she bent the snow into water around her hand. A white glow soon encompassed her hands as she did her best to try and slow the bleeding of the Firrerreo. Despite the remarkable healing abilities the woman's body showed, her wounds were far too numerous and severe. "Tar…meia." Aasha had awoken from her injuries to look over at her partner in this mess. This would startle the white lotus members as twin Togruta girls, one with blue skin and barely developed lekku and montral's ran over crying, the other with red skin. Hugging their mother tight. "Marsha…Naisha." She did her best to comfort her kids, the reason she was expelled from the order, while also trying to not break down herself.

"I'm…sorry for your loss." Tenzin spoke, getting her attention. "I have a few questions to ask you. I know you're grieving, but if you'd kindly answer them." Looking up at the man, Aasha knew she was talking to a man of authority. She closed her eyes prepared to answer any question asked of her. As they were busy discussing who they were, where they came from, what happened, and why they were here, a smaller figure approached coming from somewhere other than the crowd of people. Katara would look up at a child with silver eyes that was perhaps a year younger than Korra, nine years old. The child was dressed in clothes clearly not fit for this weather, being a short sleeved shirt and long pants. A small sack tied around their hips. What stood out most was the thick and stubby tail peeking out back. With a tender smile, Katara would address the child.

"Did you know here dear?" Shaking their head no, Katara was surprised by how someone so young would approach a dying woman without even knowing them. This didn't stop the elderly woman from smiling. "Do you wish to help? I'm…not sure she'll make it without help." The child would blink a few times, processing her words before nodding their head. Reaching into the small knapsack, they pulled what appeared to be a scroll of some kind. Katara would dismiss this as a child playing around, or perhaps a lost bending technique…She was not ready for what happened next. Upon opening the scroll, the snow felt like it stopped. A feeling overwhelmed Katara. Something familiar yet different. Like her blood ran cold. Placing the scroll across Tarmeia's chest, the child's hand began to glow. As she prepared to say something, she saw it. Small glowing orbs began to float up around the two. These bright light orbs floated around before materializing something more. Looking clearly now, she could see it. A spirit stood alongside him with fire in hand. This spirit had a red leotard that looked like flames going up her body, with thigh high boots and large elbow length gloves. Her pale skin nearly blending in with the snow as her long hair, capped by a golden helmet of some kind, flowed down her back to her lower back. Burstinatrix.

Tenzin, who was busy interrogating Aasha would notice the strange burst in heat that melted the falling snow around them. Looking over he witnessed the child who burned the scroll into Tarmeia's body. Wounds that ran deep began to singe. Smoke left the woman's body as her blood stopped running…Then the impossible. Tarmeia awoke gasping loudly for air. Her already pale gold skin became even paler, almost silvery, as two small fangs began to rear their head at the top row of her teeth. The already impressive healing factor of a Firrerreo seemed to have been kicked into overdrive, healing the burns and cuts in seconds, albeit briefly. Aasha would look over in astonishment at the child who just saved her friend, unknowing of the cost they had just paid. The child woozily fell back, closing their eyes. Burstinatrix would catch him, lifting him up in her arms before looking at those present and turning away without a word. "W-Wait!" Aasha tried calling out and to crawl only to grab her abdomen in pain. Katara, now back with reality, walked over and began the healing process of Aasha's body. "T-That child? Is he from where you came from?" She asked Tenzin, Tonraq, and Katara.

"I don't recall ever seeing a child like that in the village." Tonraq confirmed her suspicions. Tarmeia however was adjusting to whatever happened to her body. Her already acute hearing picked up things from a greater distance. Her eyes now a bright blood red seeing the very life blood of another as it flowed through their veins. A hunger that she never felt before washing over her. Looking up to Aasha, she felt her friend's gaze meet hers. Knowing now what she must do, the Firrerreo stood and chased after Burstinatrix. A thrill, a rush, whatever it was came over her. It was like she was on a hunt and she was…enjoying it. Her body was faster, lighter, it felt…amazing. That was when she noticed it. She could no longer feel her own heartbeat. It was as if it had just stopped. This was the least of her concerns. As she came closer to the spirit creature, she saw it, buried beneath the ice. A ship that spanned as far as the eye could see. After being buried for so long in the ice, it looked more like a mountain range rather than a ship. It was here she witnessed the spirit walk through what…might have been a hangar. There was no telling. Taking this all in, she nodded, before returning to report to Aasha.

Half an hour would pass before the blizzard finally died down. Aasha, who was done being questioned, walked with her friend holding her up. Behind the two walked Tenzin, who had sent everyone else back to Wolf Cove. "Why are we bringing that local along?" Tarmeia asked crudely, which earned just as crude of a glare from both of them.

"I chose to come along. That boy has been living out here for so long and we've never seen them before. I want to figure out how and why." He spoke with true concern. Although the child appeared alien, it was still a kid. This, and he was worried that another Red Lotus incident would pop up if not watched carefully. Aasha would smile and nod her head to him as they trudged through the snow. Soon, they approached the behemoth of a ship beneath the ice. Upon entering its hangar, they took into account the size alone. The hangar itself could hold any one ship that the Kuat drive yards could produce at this time. Maybe even a Mon Cala luxury star cruiser. In fact, it did house a ship as large as six hundred sixty meters. Painted entirely black, gray, and dark gray. Although its size alone wasn't impressive, the sheer number and size of its weapons. A dreadnought cruiser, although similar in size albeit smaller, had close to the amount of guns it had. Looking around the hangar, Aasha noted that most of the doors were frozen shut, even with power running. The only one not frozen appeared to have scorch marks around it. As the group walked over, the door refused to open. With a sigh, Tarmeia pulled out her lightsaber and turned it on. "What are you doing?" Tenzin asked, trying to figure out what she was planning with that blade.

"Cutting my way through obviously. We need answers."

"You could have just asked." The three jumped back into defensive positions from the sudden voice. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle. I am Helix, caretaker AI of the Marmoreal." Finally Aasha located a camera looking at them, blinking red like a voice modulator whenever it spoke. As if on cue, the door opened for them. "Please come in. It must be cold, and I seem to have lost functionality to most of my automatic door systems."

"So we've seen." Aasha responded, her eyes looking back at the many frozen doors. Taking this as a cue to listen and explore, the three proceeded, following the doors the machine could open for them.

"Tell me. Are you familiar with the Marmoreal, or master Rein?" The AI suddenly asked as it led them throughout similarly thawed doors which had the ice melted from them.

"I can't say we are. Who is he? Was he that boy we saw?" Aasha smiled, asking the questions so her friend didn't get them in trouble.

"So you are familiar. Master Rein is such a good child…I wish their mother would visit to see how well they've grown."

"Is their mother here?"

"Yes. I'm afraid she's locked herself in the inner sanctum for one thousand five hundred fifty five days, eleven hours, and forty five minutes. My camera's do not extend into the inner sanctum which is off my connection grid, but she has yet to venture out." Wincing at the rather large number given by the code, Aasha wondered if the woman was even still alive. Tarmeia was trying to count it all out with her fingers while Tenzin wondered why they left the child alone for so long. "This next room is rather large, and I will not be able to communicate effectively. But before you proceed, master Rein has given me permission to give full access to his parents logs. Would you like to view these logs?" While they were hesitant at first, and Tenzin expected a written log, Aasha would finally nod her head to the camera.

'Video log thirty seven.' "No, keep course! Incompetent alien." An older man muttered after yelling through an intercom. He was an older man with black hair with some gray mixed in. Dressed more like a businessman in full business formal. Tie, suit, dress pants, and cufflinks. "Helix, you better be recording! My wife built you but you better believe I'll dismantle you if fuck up!" The man shouted towards the camera which only blinked in response. "Good. Hello scientific community. I am Gabriel Cannus. In my search for the perfect heir, I have finally been given one. Don't get me wrong, he is far from perfect. But when my work is done, he will be. A warrior, a scientist, a strategist without equal! With this in mind, I have already begun gene therapy on the child while they were still in the womb." Aasha squeezed her hand tight into a fist upon hearing this. The man clearly didn't care about the ethical nature of living being experimentation. "This already makes them a coordinator, but I need to do more. I need to be sure they're ready for-" The log cutout.

"Log entry thirty seven." A woman with long brown hair and purple eyes looked into the camera. She wore a lab suit unlike the other man. "Make a cut here Helix."

"Will be my pleasure, Lotus." Helix spoke, unlike when asked by Gabriel some time ago.

"Reminder, keep your AI core locked to all personnel but your designated master. And record…oh wait, you already were." She sighed, bringing a hand to her head. "Swear this pregnancy and all these tests he's running on me are making things difficult to keep it together." She would slowly smile and place a hand on her rather large and obviously pregnant belly. "But I couldn't be happier…I just wish Gabriel could be happy with him even if he wasn't perfect. Helix, could you give me the wireless receiver?" She asked as she worked on something. "I'm hoping the boosted wireless receiver will allow this device to work. I learned it…well stole it off a Galvan lab during my time with him. Real piece of work right there."

"Are you certain you should openly admit to stealing, miss Lotus?" Helix asked as it handed the receiver over to her.

"It'll bite me in the ass sometime down the road…But I hope he'll understand that this modification to the device allows me to keep the preservation of the species of the Milky Way and Andromeda preserved in this galaxy…That and I would hate for Rein to be alone." She admitted to her more selfish and motherly desire. A hand moving to her belly as she took deep breaths.

"Miss Lotus, why would Rein ever be alone? Is something going to happen to you and sir Gabriel?" Helix asked, causing her to flinch.

"I've spoken too much. Helix, end recording." Obeying its mistress, the recording ended. Aasha wondered just how bad these would get.

'Recording three-eighty-seven.' Again Gabriel appeared. He was older, head full with more gray hair than last they saw him. "After our…untimed mutiny and landing on this world, I have placed all crew under arrest and into cryogenic stasis. This means we can no longer take off, but it also means I will receive no more interruptions to my work." He adjusted his tie with a sneer. "Only exception being my wife, who's work and assistance is pivotal to the success of this operation. As much as I loathe to say it." Rolling his wrist, he adjusted the camera to a two year old. "Rein is only two years old and already has shown exceptional skills, including unusually high quantum brainwaves. With this in mind, I have no doubt that Zeon Zum Deikun's newtype theory is no longer a theory but a reality. However, watch this. Rein, do you know what the ball is? Can you get the ball?" He asked in a less than parental voice. Almost as if ordering the two year old. The two year old looked at the ball reaching for it. Although it was too far out of reach, it began to levitate and float towards them. Laughing, the child finally held the ball. Aasha and Tarmeia's eyes widened. They quickly realized and recognized the force. "I am unsure whether this is due to our proximity in this galaxy, or if it's a naturally occurring phenomenon. However, my child has displayed abilities similar to this galaxy's law enforcement, the Jed-." Like before it was cut off.

Lotus who looked tired and haggard held Rein close to her. "Helix. Cut him here. Sorry to whoever may be watching. I just saved you from watching my husband…experiment on poor Rein." She would look down at her child who looked like it cried itself to sleep. "He's been rash…paranoid even. The entire crew are frozen in cryo pods on the deck below this lab. But…That's enough downer talk. I have finally achieved it. Rein's sixteenth birthday present." Reaching back she pulled out a small box that likely contained whatever she was working on in the last log. "It's set to only accept his biocode. Even if it's taken off, there's not a chance in hell I'll ever let my husband or anyone else take this away from him." Rein began to cry hearing her raise her voice. Hearing him, she quickly went into mother mode and began rubbing their back. "Shh shh shh. There there. It's okay. Mommy's not made at you." She did her best to reassure the child before looking at the camera apologetically and cutting it short.

'Log five-ninety-two.' Gabriel, who was slightly older, his hair completely gray sighed. Behind him was his wife behind glass. He was in a chamber holding a strange container full of a strange flowing energy. "As we know their quirk manifested at four exactly. Late bloomer, but it is inconsequential. This world is fascinating. If the crew wasn't so mutinous and incompetent, I would commend their efforts in bringing us here. Benders. Such a concept mixes martial arts from our world. But here, they can bend elements to their will. Fire, water, earth, and air. It is truly remarkable, and something Rein NEEDS to have." He would insert the strange cylinder into a machine, inside of which was Rein who was six years old now.

"Gabriel, stop. We're putting too much pressure on him. He's-" Lotus tried to protest.

"Shut up woman! Prepare the damn machine like I told you to!" He shouted pointing a finger over at her. Closing her eyes she did as she was told, but the screen shifted showing her lowering the shields of some kind. Then it would shift back to him. "Now from what I've learned from my time in Wan Shi Tong's library, which was a trivial price to get in, the original benders received their bending arts from Lion turtles. However as they…refused my generous request to grant my child bending, I took the liberty of stealing their essence in hopes to infuse it into my child." Picking up another cylinder, a dark essence flowed through it, violently hitting the container. "That was when I found out about the Avatar. An enigma to both worlds capable of bending all four elements…And how they became. In theory this should mimic that phenomenon. If not we'll try again, and again UNTIL WE DO!" He shouted, looking over at his wife who objected earlier. Forcing the essence into the machine. "Initiate the machine."

"Mommy…I'm scared." Rein sniffled, looking through the glass of the machine. Lotus hesitated, her eyes looking at her baby.

"Are you deaf!? TURN ON THE MACHINE!" Gabriel shouted at her. With little choice in the matter, she did exactly as she was told. Lightning sparked across the room as five different energies shot into Rein. Screams, pain, and tears could be seen making Aasha bring a hand to her lips at the sight. Tenzin would look away, closing his eyes. In his mind, it was an impossible task for anyone but the avatar to have bending of all four elements. However, trying to force bending and spirit energy into a nonbender child was beyond careless. This was soon interrupted by part of the machine exploding. "SHUT IT OFF! SHUT IT OFF!" Gabriel shouted and Lotus didn't even bat an eye as she turned it off. "I don't understand. My design was perfect. It should have worked flawlessly…It's just a small setback. Yes. Yes that's all it is. Lotus open the…" That was when he noticed…it. A centipede-like body coming through the floor. "No. No No NO. The shield should have held! Lotus, raise the spirit shield!" He shouted. However he received no response. Unable to hide his emotions, the spirit lunged at him, doing what it has always done best…stealing his face.

Koh slowly raised from the ground breathing in the air of the mortal realm. "It seems you lowered the barrier between the spirit world and here. Shame you did so in my domain." He spoke, sending shivers up the spines of those watching. The spirit would turn to a camera.

"I would ask that you please leave, before I am forced to send you back." Helix spoke to the spirit who would respond with a neutral face, but a playful tone.

"Oh I would love nothing more. But you don't have that power, do you?" He responded, knowing Helix couldn't stop him even if it wanted to. That was when he heard sniffling from the machine. Sadness drew the attention of the spirit who would quickly lunge to steal yet another face. Before it could, three arrows of piercing blue light stabbed through his carapace causing him to fall over and flail in pain. Tenzin, who had never seen or heard of a spirit harmed in any form or fashion was instantly fascinated by this development.

"You know what I am spirit. Leave peacefully, and I will not kill you." Lotus spoke, her face remaining neutral as she controlled her emotions. In her hands was a bow made of pure spiritual energy. "You know I'm able to, with how spiritually charged this world is." She knocked back an arrow as the face stealer swapped faces to a beautiful woman with long flowing hair. However, his voice did not change.

"I will leave. Do not fret Quincy. I already enacted vengeance for the spirits. However your child may one day be the doom of us all. Be prepared for that finality." He spoke a cautionary tail before sinking through the floor of the ship, returning from whence he came. Taking this chance, she ran over to hug her child while crying. Her husband, now faceless, was useless and unable to do anything to them anymore. Helix, taking his cue from this, shut off the log.

'Final log'. Lotus sighed looking up at the camera. Her arm was…changed. Larger, white, and far from human. "I suppose it's time I admit that Rein wasn't the only test subject my husband worked on…It doesn't matter. Soon I won't be able to look after Rein anymore. So in preparation for that day. Helix, code Blossom. Transfer all ownership of the Marmoreal to Rein." The screen became fuzzy as a loading bar appeared over her. "To whomever see's this, Rein is a good child…Far more than me or my husband ever deserved. Please give him a good home. I took every precaution so he wouldn't be lonely, but I can't give him what he truly needs. Family and friends that are human like him. I will be locking myself in the inner sanctum…He will only be able to see me again when certain conditions are met…And if it's Rein watching this, sweetie, I love you with all my heart. Please…be good, despite the darkness now inside you." She smiled through teary eyes and reached around with her one good arm, disabling the camera.

"…This was the last log I have access to." Helix spoke…It was as if his voice was…sad.

"I'm…I'm mortified. Who would do such things to their own family?" Aasha squeezed her shoulders after witnessing such a horrible man. Regaining her composure, she looked at the machine. "Helix. Where is Rein?"

"In the room up ahead…Please. Look after master Rein…It is what Lotus would have wanted." Opening the door, the three were greeted by a massive room that looked more like another world. Trees, plants, and animals they had never seen before. Tenzin, attuned to nature, would walk along the lush green grass that had somehow survived and thrived in this ship despite the climate outside. That was when they saw the boy, fast asleep beside a large sauropod with a brown body wrapped in leaves and two large wing-like leaves on its back. It looked at them before standing defensively of the child. Aasha, seeing it was an intelligent creature, used the force to reach out to it. Her hand slowly reached out to the creature as she slowly approached. The animal bond was an ability taught to all padawans like a passive skill when learning with the Jedi. The large six foot seven creature relaxed as her hand soon touched its muzzle. With a warm smile she would then kneel down looking at the boy.

"What do we do with him Aasha? He's force sensitive. If the council ever finds us, he'll be brought to the order and taught to shun attachment." Tarmeia voiced her concern for the boy. She knew the Jedi was likely the best place to learn, but it would go against the mothers wishes. It would also go against hers as they were both removed from the order because of their attachments.

"We take him in. Build our own home here while we repair and access the rest of this ship."

"If I may." Tenzin spoke, gaining their attention. "We have a place where he could learn. If he indeed has bending of any kind, we could teach him there. He won't be alone either. Katara, my sister Kya, and another young student will be there. If needed you can come to the compound to teach him even." He reasoned, while also trying to find a way to have Korra have a friend that's not from the compound. It would be a good experience for both of them in his mind. Aasha, who was smiling, looked at Tarmeia who rolled her eyes.

"Fine, fine. But how are we even going to explore this ship, everything's frozen shut and we aren't exactly fully equipped with tons of people. Just kids."

"I can also speak to Tonraq about getting some waterbenders to help you open up more of this…strange vessel."

"And if it's personnel you're worried about, we could unfreeze the crew that horrid man talked about. All we have to do is ask Helix to help locate them." Aasha added to Tenzin's already generous offer by pointing out an obvious fact. Tarmeia's eye twitched at how optimistic the master was. Then with a sigh of defeat, she waved her hand dismissively, finally giving Aasha permission to do as she thought right. Aasha smiled giddily before finally lowering to her knees and placing a hand on Rein's cheek, waking the child. "Rein…I know I'm not your mother, but I can't just leave you here all alone. That would be irresponsible of me as an adult…And I know you've been through a lot."

"…Are…you going to take care of me?" Rein asked weakly. Their voices were quiet and hushed as if they hadn't used it in ages.

With an affirmative smile, Aasha brought her forehead to his. "Of course I am. From now on, you won't have to be alone. You get to have lots of friends, a family that cares for you, and a home to call yours." She tenderly spoke, knowing the full treatment Jedi received when she became one. Knowing she needed to be better than them, better than her masters before her, she chose to embrace her emotions that may one day lead to the dark side. Rein began to tear up before hugging her tight and crying. Squeezing him close, she made the right choice.
