She ran up to her brother and hugged him.

"You're alive!" He stared in astonishment.

"Yes?"

"There were so many rumors…"

"I wasn't really paying attention," she admitted. "I'm sorry we didn't send a message sooner."

"It's just, there wasn't anything we could do, and nobody would confirm or deny anything. Mother and Father have been beside themselves until your letter finally arrived. I-" he choked up.

"You're here, aren't you?"

He nodded, then looked up behind her.

"They'll want to say hello to me, too, won't they?" he said.

"Yes," she agreed. "You need some rest. We all do."
