It had been about a week since Jen had gotten back from Arachnitopia on the train ride back she told team Shadow Gear the truth about where she came from it felt good to have more people know, she planned on telling Lucy and Natsu Soon Jen felt as if she was lying through her teeth any time she would talk with her best friends l, speaking of Lucy and Natsu Jen was meeting up with them at the town market today
once Jen had caught up to the two wizards they began to explore the market together they had made a habit of meeting up like this every week, "Hmmm" Natsu looked at Jen as he looked deep in thought and bent down slightly
"What is it?" Jen asked as Natsu had been staring at her for about a minute now and it was starting to get on her nerves
"You're pretty short!" Natsu answered as he laughed much to Jen's annoyance
"Hmm you're right" Lucy added
"Oh come on I'm probably the same height as you without your heals" Jen replied grumpily
"Let's see" Lucy said as she took off her boots and stood up next to Jen revealing that she was still an inch or two taller than her "Well would you look at that" Lucy replied smugly
"Shut up" Jen said displeased she was proven wrong
"So how tall are you?" Natsu asked
Jen let out a sigh "I'm 5'4" she was used to being the shortest in most groups but she still didn't like people bringing it up
"Cute" Lucy mumbled under her breath but Jen managed to hear it and her entire face went red

after an afternoon of shopping the three guildmates were having their dinner at the Guildhall "So after the incident with Lullaby Erza got arrested and put on trial" asked Jen as she at her chilli fries they weren't as good as the ones back home but they were growing on her
"yeah the magic council came pretty soon after you and team shadow gear left" Lucy explained the incident that occurred while Jen was away "She wasn't really in trouble though they just needed a scapegoat for all the property damage that occurred"
"I probably would have been sent home with nothing more than a slap on the wrist if it had not been for Natsu barging in dressed in a poor disguise" Erza added while glaring at the dragon slayer
as Jen was laughing at her friends' stories of their adventures she suddenly found herself feeling very tired before she knew it her head was resting on the table
Jen awoke groggily from her magic-induced sleep "What the hell was that!" She asked as the rest of the guild roused to their feet seemingly caught under the same spell Jen did
"that young Jennifer was Mystogan one of the strongest wizards in the guild" master Makarov explained from atop the bar
"every time he comes to take a job he puts everyone under a sleeping spell, the old man's the only one that knows what he looks like" Gray added
"that's not true, I've seen him before" an unfamiliar voice called down from the second floor "Mystogan's just a little shy, you should respect his privacy" laughed a tall muscular man with spiky blonde hair and a lightning bolt-shaped scar over his right eye
"Laxus!!" Natsu yelled as he jumped up onto the table "Get down here and fight me!"
"oh please I heard you couldn't even beat a newbie, you wouldn't stand a chance against me" Laxus laughed as he looked down at all the fairy tail members
"the hell's that supposed to mean"Jen glared at the large man
"oh did I strike a nerve little lady why don't you come up here so I can show you exactly what the strongest wizard in fairy tail can do" Laxus laughed
"Oh, I will!" Jen as she made her selection on the Omnitrix but before she could slam the dial down her arm was caught in Erza's grip "Hey let go"
"Jen you don't understand only an S class wizard is allowed up on the second floor" Erza explained "While I'd like nothing more than to see you teach him a lesson the rules are the rules" Erza gave a glare that sent a tingle down Jen's spine
"who cares!!" Natsu yelled as he jumped up to attack Laxus but was swiftly smacked down by Master Makarov's giant hand, seeing this Jen decided to back down still glaring at a smug Laxus as Erza let go of her arm
sometime later Jen and Lucy were sitting at the bar talking with Mirajane "Hey Mira let me ask you something, what was Erza talking about earlier why can't we go up to the second floor" Lucy asked
"only S-class wizards are allowed up there" Mira answered while cleaning some glasses
"what's an S-class wizard?" Asked Jen who was still having trouble with all the terms wizards liked to throw around but she had gotten used to most of it
"oh those are extremely powerful wizards that the master handpicks himself, the jobs on the second floor are all really dangerous one wrong move and you could die" Mira elaborated
Jen's apartment
once Jen arrived at her apartment she collapsed onto her bed for a short minute before getting up and getting changed into her pyjamas her apartment was decorated with various action figures and comics that she admitted she had gotten a little obsessed with, Jen was throwing her clothes onto a chair in the corner of her bedroom but as she did she noticed a large stain on her shirt "dammit, chilli stains" She sighed as she threw it into a wash basket "now that I think of it my jeans could use a wash too, hmm didn't I buy some extra clothes the other week" Jen wondered as she looked through her drawers, she pulled out a black T-shirt with a green stripe down the middle and shoulders and the number 10 in white on the front, and a pair of brown shorts "yeah that'll do" she yawned

the next day Jen was hanging around the Fairy Tail guild hall but there was a suspicious lack of Natsu and Lucy she thought they might have gone on a job earlier in the morning but they'd usually pester her to come with them "Master one of the S-class quests!" Mira yelled as she came running down the stairs causing Makarov to spit out his drink
"one of those super dangerous quests, who would steal one of them" Jen wondered aloud
"I saw a little blue cat fly up here last night acting all sneaky taking it off the board" Laxus laughed
"Happy, if you saw him take it why didn't you stop him" Jen yelled
"Listen here newbie it's not my job to stop idiots if they want to go and get themselves killed, haha if they survive they should get kicked out of the guild sounds like a fitting punishment right old man!" Laxus laughed from the second floor
"What job did they take?" Makarov asked Mira
"the quest to lift the curse on Galuna island" Mira answered ominously, the whole guild seemed to be freaked out by the mere mention of the name
"LAXUS GO AND GET THEM BACK HERE IMMEDIATELY" Makarov yelled up to his grandson
"I've got more important things to take care of, and besides everyone in Fairy Tail is meant to be able to take care of themselves right" Laxus glared at the old man
"I don't care what you think, the fact of the matter is you're the only one who can take Natsu back by force!" Makarov angrily replied
both Jen and Gray stood up at this claim "Sorry master we got to disagree with you on that" they both said in unison
Magnolia
Gray and Jen had just set out from the guild hall after the master agreed to send them after Natsu and Lucy "So any idea where they're headed?" Jen asked as the two walked down the street
"they're probably planning on getting a boat to the island from Hargeon do you know it" Gray replied
"oh that's where I first met those three" Jen laughed "And I know the quickest way there," she said as she held up the Omnitrix
"no whatever your planning no, I've seen the weird things you turn into no way" Gray replied
"oh come on it's the fastest way we can catch up to them" Jen assured Gray
"ugh fine, I better not regret this" Gray sighed
Jen smiled "Awesome, I knew you'd come round" she laughed smugly, Jen slammed down on the Omnitrix and in a green flash she was replaced with a red manta ray-like alien "JETRAY!" she called out suddenly she took off grabbing Gray with her feet and flying at high speeds towards Hargeon as the ice wizard yelled in terror

Lucy and Natsu were trying to hire a boat to take them to Galuna Island, Lucy was yelling about not wanting to swim to the island when two figures appeared behind them followed by a familiar flash of red "we found you" Jen and Gray sung
"what the hell are you doing here Gray" Natsu yelled
"ahhhhh Jen what are you doing here your outfit looks great" Lucy panicked as she and Natsu stepped back from the duo
"aww thanks but flattery won't get you out of this one" Jen smiled trying very hard not to show how much flattery very much could get them out of this
"Gramps sent us here to put a stop to your little scheme, if you come with us now you might avoid being kicked out of the guild," Gray said coldly
"I've gotta prove myself by finishing this quest, I'll not let you get in my way" Natsu yelled as he engulfed his fist in fire in response Gray coated his fist in sharp spikes of ice
before either of them could attempt anything they were interrupted by the fishermen on the boat Lucy and Natsu were trying to hire "Are you lot wizards, have you come to lift the curse on the island"
"yes we have" Natsu laughed
"Maybe," Lucy said unsure of the situation
"not a chance" Jen said firmly but before the conversation could go any further Natsu landed a swift kick to Gray knocking him unconscious, "Natsu what are you thinking this job is too dangerous for you guys"
"but not for you?" Lucy questioned
"well I don't exactly know what to expect from an S class quest but I'm sure there's a reason there are such strict rules for them" Jen answered
"do you think we'd have a better chance of pulling this off with you with us" Lucy added
"I mean probably but that's not important, we could get thrown out of the guild if we take on this quest and I don't know about you but the guild and the people there are all I have right now," Jen said sadly reminding herself of her situation
"Jen there are people on that island who need our help, and we're going to help them whether you like or not" Lucy stated as she got on the boat followed by Natsu carrying the unconscious Gray
Jen thought to herself that the best way to make sure they completed this quest was to tag along with them "You two understand going around playing hero is dangerous right" Jen gave a mischievous smirk "I guess it's hero time" she laughed as she got on the boat with cheers from Natsu and Lucy and they set sail for Galuna island
ok that's this chapter done I am currently planning for a couple cool things for the future at the moment
