AN: Jack writes his mission report after The Broca Divide.
It wasn't her. That's what Jack kept telling himself about the memories that kept popping into his brain while he was finishing up his mission report. The Land of Light was one for the books, and he felt like he was writing one. Repeatedly. Ad nauseum. Second verse, same as the first. Et cetera. He had tried to type up the description of his encounter with Captain Carter in the locker room at least 10 times and every time it seemed to be a little too... fraught might be the word. On the one hand, it's not like he had encouraged her or participated in the encounter. Not much, anyway. On the other hand, he didn't want to paint her in a bad light either. She was just starting her career in comparison to him. Something like this, if not handled delicately, could cast a shadow over her future. A young, beautiful female officer, seducing a much older, senior officer just reeked of "Do me a favor, Sir."
She was out of her mind. He reminded himself again. He was just getting used to being on his own again after the divorce. He hadn't kissed anyone besides Sara in years. This wasn't exactly how he wanted to get back in that particular saddle. Or when, for that matter. Part of him was a little irked by it, if he was honest. It was like he was being pushed somewhere that he wasn't ready to go yet. Not by her, of course. She had been just as uncomfortable about it as he had when they were making their way back through the gate. Unfortunately, another part of him couldn't forget how good she tasted or how the hair on his arms stood up when she bit one of his shoulders and clawed the other. She must have just had her own shower too because she had smelled delightful, especially right there on the soft, pale skin of her neck.
It wasn't real, Jack! He berated himself. Heightened animalistic senses had probably been setting in for him around the same time. In real life, it wouldn't have been that way. He knew that, but it really didn't stop him from wondering what it would be like. Not like he'd ever find out. He was way too old for her. Sure Jack, that's the only reason. No good. This did no one any good to think about. Time to go home.
"Captain Carter approached me and was not acting like herself, so I escorted her to the infirmary for examination." he typed. The End. Save. Print. Done.
