Chapter 2: Baby Stuff:
Chuckie's POV:
I was watching Trading Places.
"Oh, is this the one where the wife beats up the designer," says Dad.
"You bet. Uh, Dad, does Kimi seem upset to you lately," I asked.
"She hasn't said anything to me," says Dad, "has she said anything to you?"
"Not a thing," I said.
"If she had something on her mind, she'd tell you," says Dad, "you two are close."
"Better go, Chas," says Mom.
"Oh, right. I don't want to be late for the conga," says Dad as he conga-ed out.
"What is going on around here," I asked. I then turned around and screamed. "You scared me."
"Sorry," Kimi says sarcastically, "I didn't know I was so scary."
. . .
Kimi was dumping stuff in her room.
"What are you doing," I asked.
"I hate this room," says Kimi, "especially this stuff! I don't want to even look at it anymore!"
"Why," I asked.
"It's baby stuff," says Kimi, "and I'm not a baby anymore!"
. . .
"Then she said something about not wanting to be a baby anymore," I said, "and tossed all her old stuff."
"Did she throw out any old clothes," asks Dil, "I'm looking for some gaucho pants."
"She was crying and everything," I said, "I wish there was something I could do."
"I remember when I went through my 'I'm not a baby' phase," says Lil, "I cut the heads off all my Dummy Bears."
"Hey, I just got an idea," I said, "what if we redid her room just like on one of those make-over shows? Yeah, yeah, we'll sneak her off for the day and when she comes back- ka-pow, a new room! If the kids on those shows can do it, there's no reason we can't."
Jackie's POV:
"Neugog and the Grundle are back," I asked, "how did that happen?"
"Doesn't matter, my friend," says Captain Black, "I'd like you to deal with them!"
"But I have a baby," I said.
"I'll look after him," says Captain Black, "trust your best pal!"
"Well, alright," I said.
Chuckie's POV:
"No time to play, Chūichi," I said to my baby half-brother, "we're gonna redo Kimi's room. You can come!"
Chūichi made spit bubbles.
. . .
We took a look at the room. "Now I can see why she's so unhappy," I said, "this room just screams 'generic girl.' What she needs is something that screams 'Kimi!'"
Chūichi screams. He does that when someone says scream.
"I know! She likes movies," says Tommy.
"No, Tommy, you like movies," I said.
"What are you doing in Kimi's room," asks Dad.
"Uh, looking for Kimi," I lied.
"All of you," asks Dad.
"Yes," I said.
"Well, we got a big ballroom dance competition," says Dad, "come on, Kira, let's rumba."
Jackie's POV:
Turns out, Neugog and Grundel weren't even back. "Maybe Captain Black got the wrong intel," says Jade.
We then saw the office was empty. I then found a note and realized... "Shen Du has Jaycee!"
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, Jackie looks for Shen Du.
