Chapter 12: Ghost Hands
They had two days off from school which let all of the students in the sleep in for as long as they wanted to thankfully.
Inko made breakfast for everyone.
"Thank Mamadoriya." Said Kaminari.
"Mamadoriya?" asked Inko blushing.
And it was with that Inko gained a nickname in Class 1-a.
After more and more of the signs came into the dining room which was set up for larger group.
"Did you sleep well last night?" asked Masaru to the kids.
"Had a shitty nightmare." Muttered Katsuki.
"Yeah…" sighed Ochaco.
"It's normal for some heroes." Said Enji, "Had one myself…"
"Really?" asked Shoto.
"You got attacked yesterday and you're barley week into school. You shouldn't have to worry about that until your internship at least." Said Enji.
Shoto nodded even though he knew that the villain who attacked him was something else and wouldn't be surprised if his dad had nightmares about him.
The rest of the day was normal with everyone going home happy that they had a brief reprieve.
Though the next day, Izuku got a call.
It was from Toshinori.
"Hello?" asked Izuku.
"Izuku, Tsukauchi was able to give me the hands." Said Toshinori on the other end.
"He knew that I had means to figure the mystery of the hands and…" said Toshinori.
"IT's because you're All Might." Said Izuku.
"It's because I'm All Might." Sighed Toshinori.
"You want Nana to be there for the examination?" asked Izuku.
"I do." Said Toshinori.
"I'll be there as soon as I can." Said Izuku.
After the call end he knew he had to check in on Nana who deiced to manifest.
"How are you feeling?" asked Izuku.
"Sacred." Said Nana, "I don't know why I was drawn to those hands."
Izuku nodded and soon enough he was at Toshinori apartment .
Toshinori let him in.
Once the door was closed Nana manifested.
They all approached the hands which were placed on a table, it was clear they were from three different people, one pair clearly belong together while the other two were different sizes/.
"The pair and the larger hand has repressed energy. However the last hand doesn't have any repressed energy." Said Toshinori.
"Why?" asked Nana.
"I have a theory… I need to examine the back of that hand Nana." Said Toshinori.
Nana walked over the table and lift up the hand, she started at it and her eye twitched.
"Toshinori! You could have just said your theory!" scolded Nana.
Toshinori laughed nervously.
"Sorry couldn't help it." He admitted.
At first Izuku was confused but he remember the old phrase "I know it like I know the back of my hand."
"It's your hand." Realized Izuku.
"It is." Said Nana.
"Considering his tried with All for One. I don't think we should be surprised that he had your hand," said Toshinori.
"But what about the other two?" asked Izuku.
"We help them manifest as a ghosts." Said Toshinori.
Izuku's eyes widened at that.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" asked Izuku.
"Hopefully they won't' be too vengeful. But I'm going to give them enough energy to manifest and able to speak." Said Toshinori.
Both Izuku and Nana nodded in agreement.
He performed the ritual that let would let the souls gain enough energy to.
All three hands glowed… and the souls manifested.
The one from the single man was a man with black hair while the one from the pair was. A young girl who also had black hair… however the most cornering thing was that she looked a little like Nana.
The man looked at Nana.
"How are you connected to him and not your hand?" the man.
"It's complicated." Sighed Nana.
"She's tied to my quirk." Said Izuku.
"You know I shouldn't be surprised you never watched over me." Muttered the man.
Nana's eyes widened in horror.
"Kotaro?" asked Nana.
The man sneered.
Toshinori's eyes widened in horror.
Izuku was confused.
"You abandoned me!" yelled Kotaro.
"I was trying to protect you." Said Nana.
"Don't lie!" yelled Kotaro.
"What? What I'm not lying!" said Nana on the verge of tears realizing that she was talking to another ghost.
"It's true! It's all your fault!" yelled Kotaro almost like he was trying to blame her or his death.
"Dad! Stop! You know that's not true!" said the girl.
"Dad?" cried Nana.
"Hi grandma…" said the girl.
Izuku's eyes widened realized who the two ghosts were… Nana's family and he became even more horrified.
"Why do you say that!" yelled Kotaro, "She abandoned me! How can you get along with her?"
"Because it's pretty clear that reason we haven't move on is because of that villain who controlling Tenko!" said the girl.
"Hana!" scolded Kotaro.
"No dad! IF we want to pass on we have to stop Tenko and they are the ones who can do it!" said Hana, "Or do you want to be trapped on your hand again?"
Kotaro scowled.
"Kotaro I'm sorry… I didn't have any choice." Said Nana, "The villain who killed your father would have hurt you too…"
"That's enough!" yelled Kotaro, "I don't want to hear it."
"Wait a villain killed Grandpa?" asked Hana.
"Yes." Sighed Nana.
"Was that villain All for One?" asked Hana.
Nana froze.
"He… was…" said Nana.
Kotaro scowled as his mother.
"I want nothing to do with helping that brat who killed us." Said Kotaro.
"He's my brother!" cried Hana.
"I don't care." Said Kotaro.
He then disappeared into the hand clear that he wasn't going to help and would rather be a ghost for the rest of existence.
"Sorry…" said Hana.
"It's okay…" said Nana tried reassuring her granddaughter.
"What happened?" asked Toshinori knowing they had to know how Nana's family died.
"Tomura isn't his real name… his name is actually Tenko and he's my little brother. When his quirk came in, he accidently killed us all." Said Hana, "It wasn't his fault please don't understand that!"
"It's okay…" reassured Nana, "These things happened."
"Then what happened?" asked Toshinori.
"The only things that remined were our hands… I wasn't aware yet but that villain found them… he preserved them and I don't know what happened until I became aware but he gave them to Tenko to wear…" said Hana.
Nana was horrified.
"Not only that but he keeps filling Tenko's head with ideas about hatred, about how he could destroy and hate everything…" said Hana.
That was when Yoichi manifested.
"Wait did you just describe him in the present tense?" asked Yoichi.
Hana was surprised by him manifesting.
"We haunted his quirk." Said Nana.
"There're more inside my quirk." Sighed Izuku.,
"Yeah you're going to have to explain that later…" said Hana.
"Yeah… I know…" sighed Izuku.
"Is he still alive?" asked Yoichi.
"He is… he was heavily injured after All Might's fight." Said Hana.
"Damn it! He's still alive!" yelled Toshinori.
"Knowing him he probably did to give you. False sense of security." Muttered Yoichi.
Toshinori gritted hit teeth in anger.
"How dare he…" cried Nana.
And that was when she realized a ton of energy. Her hair and eyes turned white.
The other ghosts manifested including Second and Third.
"Nana! Stop!" yelled En.
"We all want him dead! But freaking out now is not going to help us!" said Yoichi.
All of them were blasted back from her rage.
"Mom! Please!" begged Toshinori.
That snapped Nana out of it and Toshinori blushed a little.
They heard a growl come from Kotaro's hand.
"Toshi…" whispered Nana back to normal.
"Sorry…" said Toshinori.
"IT's okay Toshi…" said Nana.
It was clear that Nana did see him as a surrogate son.
"You see All Might as a son?" asked Hana.
They heard Kotaro growling.
"I'm going to try to talk him later." Sighed Toshinori.
"Much later… suggested Izuku.
Toshinori nodded knowing it was better to give him time.
"So you're kind of like my uncle?" asked Hana.
"Yeah…" said Toshinori.
"That's really cool." said Hana.
"Maybe we should talk more about All for One." Said Izuku.
"He's going to come after 9th eventually." Said Second.
"Nana…" said Izuku, "You should try something."
"Wait… seriously." Said Nana surprised.
"He's right." Said Toshinori, "Before you had no access to that high level before. if you go near him your category will rise tremendously."
"You're going to have far more abilities than you would have had before." Said Izuku.
"Wait you mean… if I go near him." Said Nana.
"If half the stuff he's told us about higher category are true…" said Yoichi.
"He crossed a line for you… one hasn't cross with any of us yet… you should be the one." Said Third.
"And we don't have to worry about letting these two handle him anymore." Said Second.
"Hey!" yelled Izuku.
"Excuse me." Said Toshinori.
"Look let me honest… both of you want to focus on Bill." Said Yoichi.
"Yeah…" said Izuku.
"You got a point." Said Toshinori.
"I will still have to get in close to the fight though." Said Izuku.
"I will also make sure you're safe." Said Nana.
"Good point." Said Izuku.
"Yeah… I am so lost right now…" said Hana, "Can you please back up… also I have so many question about how you were able to do this…"
"Yeah… we should." Said Izuku.
That was when Third and Second disappeared back into Izuku now that they were no longer talking about One for All.
And so they brought Hana up to speed about One for All, how Nana was the 7th holder as well about Bill Cipher and the reincarnation thing.
"If I wasn't a ghost I wouldn't believe this." Said Hana.
"That's fair." Said Yoichi with a shrug.
"Also as for my dad… I wouldn't want him to try to listen at all." Said Hana, "He's not going to listen."
"What does mean…" said Nana.
"Before Tenko's accident… I let him get in trouble…" said Hana, "And I regrated it ever since."
"What happened?" asked Nana, "Hana…"
Hana flinched.
"Oh Hana…" said Izuku.
They all looked at Izuku.
Izuku approached the ghost girl.
"Okay… I get it he won't listen… he's going to convince him he was right the entire time." Said Izuku, "We'll also make sure he won't hurt you again…"
Nana burst out crying again.
This time was in pure sorrow.
"You know…" said Hana becoming worried.
"Someone very close to me was hurt by her father in my past life." Said Izuku.
"He never hurt me though… he only hurt Tenko." Whimpered Hana, "I shouldn't have let happen though… it's my fault… maybe if I took the blame none of this would have happened."
"Who knows with my brother though…" said Yoichi, "From the sounds of it there's too many coincides…"
Nana's eyes widened.
"Nana please remain calm…" said Toshinori.
"I don't even know where he is right now." Said Nana, "I'm calm enough…"
"All I will say is that something tells me that there's more to this meets the eye. My brother had always had a knock for extremely complicated and convoluted plans." Said Yoichi, "We should wait until, he finally shows up again."
Nana nodded.
"You should go inside and rest." Said Izuku.
"No I want to get to know Hana more…" said Nana.
Hana's eyes widened.
"Even if I messed up you're going to be haunted this place and even if I'm stuck with Izuku and can't visit often I still want to get to know you…" said Nana.
"I'll place your hands in another room so you and Nana can talk privately." Said Toshinori.
Hana nodded as she wasn't sure how far she could get away from her hand s as she was still tied to them.
The other One for All ghosts went back into Izuku as Nana and Hana talked in a another room .
Toshinori approached Kotaro's hand.
"I know you probably won't listen to me… but your mother loves you very much… and I didn't steal her. I lost my parents in this life at a young age." Said Toshinori, "She was there when no one else was… I'm sorry you had to go through all that…"
There was any sign of any respond from Kotaro's hands.
Izuku didn't say anything knowing that it was far more complicated than what was going on with the Northwests… this wasn't a family of the worst of the worst, this was someone who had a bad childhood lashing out.
Everything was complicated… and they didn't know just how complicated it really was at the moment…
The only good thing that came out of this was that Nana could at least get to know her granddaughter… even with all the sadness and pain that she felt from all of the revelations…
And hopefully with that knowledge when the time came, she would be the one to stop All for One once and for all…
Next Time: They go back to school... they learn that the Sports Festival is soon and also deal with the other classes wanting a piece of them... what will happen?
