bopdog111: Starting off with change of things from Duel Academy. Chancellor Sheppard sorry man but your not gonna be the Headmaster of the School here before Jaden, and the others came.
Ulrich362: He might still be in an advisory role... at first, but someone else is taking the role of Chancellor.
bopdog111: And if you guys watched Arc-V you would definitely know who. But there are also some other things to address before then.
Ulrich362: True, there are.

1. Some of the Duel Academy students will already be enrolled before then.
2. The Doktor he is here but dies from a car accident so we won't be hearing of him here at least by some mentions.
3. Duel Academy will still be the military base it was before but there will be some major differences that canon, and this one will have.
4. Kaiba does get a cameo here (his full major appearances are in the Ritual part) but it's only 1 appearance from him here.
5. Jaden obtains Winged Kuriboh by someone else.
6. Barrett, and Viper will appear earlier then usual.

3 days before the entrance exams...
Chancellor Sheppard was in his office one day checking over some things for the preparing Entrance Exams over the next few days, and is making sure to see if their all ready for the potential applicants. Mr. Seto Kaiba had said over to him he wishes to speak with him about something, and wonders what Kaiba wants to talk with him about but can't help but feel it's something bad for him. So he just continues working while waiting for his boss.
"Chancellor, Mr. Kaiba is here." Sheppard's receptionist voiced.
"Let him in." Sheppard replied looking over the forms before frowning. 'I should make sure to check in with Crowler during the entrance exams... I still can't believe he refused a third of the applications last year.'
Soon the door opened showing Seto Kaiba himself walking in only he isn't alone. He was with a tanned skinned man that's balding wearing a purple blazer like suit.
"Mr. Kaiba, what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" Sheppard asked with a smile while noting the new man.
"Some changes being made here Sheppard." Kaiba explained over before turning over. "This is Leo Akaba a scientist who has proven himself as a capable new asset for Duel Academy."
Leo Akaba gave a small courtesy bow towards the Chancellor.
"A scientist, well I'm glad to have you join the academy Akaba." Sheppard mentioned. "I'm sure you'll make a fine addition to our staff."
"Unfortunately there are some good news, and some bad news." Kaiba turned over towards Sheppard. "Which news would you like to hear first?"
"Unfortunately, the bad." Sheppard answered.
"Leo Akaba will be replacing you as Chancellor of Duel Academy." Kaiba laid it out.
Sheppard's eyes widened slightly. "Not that I doubt your judgement, but are you sure that's a wise decision? There are certain... details that come to mind."
"It's nothing personal, and I understand your concerns however Leo Akaba has proven that his performance, and potential are better." Kaiba explained over towards him. "I already informed him about the Sacred Beasts, and he has a method to get all the students ready when they came."
"I see, well if you think he'll be capable of defending the cards I'll step down." Sheppard nodded sighing. "Not how I anticipate my career ending. Though if I may ask what the good news is?"
"You'll still be employed here but at a lower rank. If I remember right the Cyber Art Style is still open for new applicants maybe it can teach them to respect there cards, and themselves more then ever." Kaiba stated over towards him. "Also you are to help Leo Akaba about how to be a Chancellor of Duel Academy."
"I understand." Sheppard nodded. "I'll take the next few days to get Leo Akaba up to speed before the entrance exams."
"And for that matter..." Kaiba turned to Leo Akaba who looked over to him. "While your story is still far-fetched to me, I'm willing to allow your methods if it is as real as you claim it is. The only thing in return is keep the safety, and health of the students in mind when there ready."
"Agreed." Leo Akaba nodded from that, and with that last note Kaiba walked out leaving the two Chancellors both former, and current alone in the office before he turned over to Sheppard. "So what should we start with?"
Suddenly Sheppard paused. "Mr. Kaiba, there is one other matter."
Kaiba turned over.
"The incident on the island." Sheppard pointed out referring to the abandoned dorm.
"You know the order, have everyone keep out until the situation is cleared." Kaiba stated over. "Have Leo Akaba know how dangerous it is."
Sheppard nodded at that as Kaiba nodded walking out.
"Well, I suppose I should start by confirming what Mr. Kaiba already told you." Sheppard mentioned.
Leo Akaba looked over towards him at this. Sheppard offered him a chair. "I think we have a lot to discuss, Chancellor Akaba."
"Please... refer to me as what I was called. The Professor." Leo Akaba sat down on the chair.
Sheppard nodded at that.

A hand smacked down on an alarm clock before a purple haired boy slowly raised up on his bed stretching. Rubbing some sleep from his eyes he chuckled. "Well, today's finally the day. You've been looking forward to this just as long as I have haven't you?"
A faint roar echoed in his mind as he smirked before going into his bathroom.
"Finally up Yuri?" a young male voice called from another room.
"Yes, I'm up." he sighed at that.
"Well I'm about done with breakfast here. Get yourself ready to eat before we head out." the male voice said over to him.
"Just put my salad on the table." Yuri called to the male voice as he got his toothbrush. "The one in the purple container this time."
"Noted." the male voice said over to him. "Your dragon ready too?"
Yuri rolled his eyes at that while brushing his teeth before spitting into the sink. "Is that even a question?"
"Yeah that should be obvious." the voice chuckled at this. "My own set of toys are ready."
Yuri rolled his eyes again walking to the kitchen. "Going to Duel Academy isn't a game Sora."
Who was cooking was a blue haired ponytail boy wearing a pink apron while having a yellow shirt, and short blue shorts on with socks on his feet as he turned over with a smile. "Hey can't I have some fun over?"
"When do you not?" Yuri pointed out taking a bite of his salad and smiling. "I will admit, I'm hoping to find some challenges at Duel Academy... maybe someone will actually make me have to try."
"Well it's suppose to be the best Duel School." Sora placed some pancakes on his plate, and topped with syrup, whipped cream, and strawberries before sitting down to eat. "So of course we will find some decent challenges there. But I also heard a new Chancellor had been appointed a few days before the Entrance Exams."
"I heard that too, maybe the old Chancellor got sick or decided to retire... I doubt it'll affect us that much." Yuri shrugged only to frown. "I swear, do you run on pure sugar?"
Sora only smiled over with closed eyes not answering which is pretty much Yuri's answer each time.
"Well, we should head out soon for the exam." Yuri told him as he closed his own eyes. "I have a feeling our lives will take quite the drastic change starting today."
"Otherside from the fact that unlike before we won't be roommates." Sora agreed over towards him. "That is if we're lucky."
"No offense, but I'm looking forward to a change of pace." Yuri pointed out only to glance at a clock. "We should go, we don't want to be late after all."
"Right." Sora nodded as they finished up, and dress heading off towards Duel Academy.
Eventually they reached the building where the entrance exams were located as they saw several other applicants were also there ranging from an incredibly nervous looking blue-haired boy with glasses to a boy with black hair smirking already in a blue blazer.
"Whoa quite a crowd of people huh?" Sora asked.
"Looks like it." Yuri nodded looking around. "I somehow doubt they'll be of any..."
He then notices a girl dueling with purple hair who looks confident, and is schooling her opponent. Yuri couldn't help but stare in awe as the girl managed to beat the other applicant without breaking much of a sweat before he smirked.
"Find someone?" Sora guessed based on his expression.
"Hard to say." Yuri replied walking up to the registration. "Yuri and Sora Perse... though may I inquire about someone?"
"Yes?" the teacher asked curiously.
"That girl over there, I assume she hasn't taken her exam but what's her name?" Yuri inquired turning to the indigo-haired girl.
The teacher looked over, and answered. "That there is Celina."
"Celina, thank you." Yuri nodded taking his number. "Now to wait for my exam."
"I don't need to wish you luck then." Sora grinned over to him.
"Of course not." Yuri smirked only to notice the blue-haired boy with glasses. "We may as well pass the time watching some of the other duels before we're called."
Sora nodded taking his number.
In the audience stands two twins with different color hairs is with a blonde haired girl, and a dark blue haired boy staring on here while the blonde haired girl smiled to the dark blue haired boy. "Looks like your brother managed to make it in Zane."
"It is fortunate but what is important is what this experience will do in the future." the boy, Zane, said over towards her.
"Well, if you ask me he's kind of cute in that... nerdy little way." mentioned a twin with white hair. "You know what I mean Gloria?"
"Grace you always think every young guy is cute." the blonde haired twin pointed out over to her sister.
Grace pouted slightly turning to Alexis. "You get what I mean right? I mean... yeah he's kind a pathetic duelist and really short but... it's like he's a pathetic little puppy you want to take care of."
"Yeah I know. But maybe try removing 'pathetic' from the equation?" Alexis suggested with a sweatdrop.
"He barely passed, though I guess he did manage to win the duel so he can't be as pathetic as some of the other people we've seen." Gloria pointed out only to pause. "Huh, who's that with the clowns on his field?"
They looked over seeing an orange haired boy was there joking about with clown monsters.
"I think he was Dennis McField... a street performer." Zane recalled.
"I hope you've enjoyed the show, but now it's for my finale." the boy, Dennis, grinned raising his arm. "As I've just placed a third Performage Counter on my Hat Tricker, its attack and defense points increase to 3300. Now, attack Cyber-Tech Alligator."
The clown chuckled juggling four fireballs striking Cyber-Tech Alligator destroying it, and winning his match.
"Impressive display applicant." the examiner smiled. "You pass."
"Abraca-Thank you." Dennis bowed over with a grin.
"He'll be someone to watch." Gloria noted. "Not many people can bring out monsters that powerful without Fusion Summoning."
"What about that other girl though? Celina?" Grace asked them over remembering the girl from earlier.
"She hasn't dueled yet Grace." Zane pointed out.
"Oh come on had you seen her before?" Grace asked him.
"We'll have to wait and see, first things first is him." Zane mentioned as they looked to see Yuri walk down for his own duel.
Meanwhile...
A blonde haired man having a ponytail, and a regal blue blazer was watching until he heard someone. "Crowler."
"Yes, what is it?" the man questioned turning to the voice.
It was a muscled eyepatched man wearing a trench coat, and military pants walking over staring at him. "The Professor wanted me to see how the applicants are doing so far."
"Ah, Barrett... so far so good, some of the applicants are barely qualified for Slifer Red but they did pass... Zane's brother in fact only just managed to win." Crowler answered. "You're just in time for one of the applicants to duel next, his name is Yuri apparently."
"Who's his opponent?" the man, Barrett, asked sitting beside him.
"Gadgets it looks like this shouldn't take too long, you're welcome to watch with us." Crowler offered with a smirk as on the field Yuri smirked.
"So, I simply need to defeat you in a duel?" Yuri inquired calmly. "Then please after you."
His opponent was a blue Blazer man activating his Duel Disk. "Alright applicant let's see what you can do."
Yuri activated his own Duel Disk.
"DUEL!" Yuri and the man called together.

Red Gadget glowed before vanishing as a larger portal opened.
"A tribute summon?" Yuri asked in a bored tone. "Is that all?"
"Bored huh? Maybe try feeling some amazement at this!"
The monster rose up.
"Come Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera!"
What rose was a four legged rusty ancient mechanical beast with three heads up with one colored gold, and a head down roaring together.

At the duel Yuri smirked more.
"Next, a third spell card, Predpruning." he smirked while activating it. "This spell simply brings a Predaplant monster in my graveyard back to the field and since I only have one I think we both know Chlamydosundew is coming back."

I can perform a Fusion Summon without using Polymerization, and as an added little bonus I can fuse him with a monster you control with a Predator Counter and treat that monster as a DARK monster. I fuse Chlamydosundew with Gold Gadget!"
"What, fusing with my monster?" the Examiner questioned in shock seeing the two monsters fly up into the Fusion Vortex.
"Two beautiful flowers with an insect-alluring fragrance! Now become one, and from the hell beneath your petals, give birth to a new terror! Fusion Summon! Appear! Poisonous dragon with hungry fangs. Level 8! Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri changed as what rose was a green dragon with three large purple wings, purple biological armor on it's torso, elbows, shoulders, knees, and face with orbs around while having a large tail, and several mouths around it's body and two large horns on both sides of it's head roaring.

When Predaplant Flytrap battles a monster with a lower level that monster is automatically destroyed and Flytrap's level increases by your monster's original level."
Flytrap's jaws grew destroying Gadjittron Chimera.

"Wait so... you been planning this from the start?" the Examiner looks stunned from this.
"Of course, Ophrys Scorpio attack him directly." Yuri smirked.
Ophrys Scorpio charged in attacking the Examiner who stepped back. (Examiner: 2800/Hand: 1)
Yuri's eyes turned into slits again as a sadistic smirk appeared on his face. "Now, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon attack this examiner and finish him off!"
Starving Venom charged a blast firing it striking the Examiner.

Yuri wins!
"One turn kill you don't see that often." Alexis admitted.
"No, you don't." Zane agreed. "He's definitely skilled."
"He might even give you a run for your money Zane, especially if he used your Cyber End Dragon against you with that Fusion Monster of his." Gloria pointed out.
Meanwhile with the smirking black haired boy he gave a small scowl. "Dumb luck... he only gotten a one turn kill from luck."
"I don't know Chazz, that dragon was pretty nasty looking... I've never seen anything like it." mentioned a boy sitting with him. "Plus it didn't even show it's abilities so who knows what that thing can do."
"Who cares he will learn the hard way, the Chazz Princeton way." the boy gave a confident smirk.
As the boy, Chazz Princeton, said that Sora grinned heading down to take his position for his duel.
"Easy-peezy lemon-squeezy!" Sora grinned to Yuri as he passed him. "My turn now!"
"Try not to embarrass yourself too badly." Yuri smirked to him only to pause and glance at Celina again before shaking his head and turning to watch the duel.
Sora walked over with a grin readying himself.
"Alright young man, what's your name?" inquired another man in a blue blazer.
"Sora Perse!" Sora grinned over.
"Well Sora, why don't you take the first turn this time." the examiner told him calmly.
"Gotcha." Sora activated his Duel Disk readying with a grin before taking out a lollypop from his pocket unwrapping it, and placed it in his mouth while pocketing the wrapper.
"Are you sure you want to duel with a lollipop?" the Examiner asked.
"Don't worry. Done it hundreds of times before. Keeps me motivated." Sora grinned over.
"Well, if you're sure. Whenever you're ready Sora." the examiner told him. "You go first."
So they readied over as everyone watched curiously.
"DUEL!"

"Edge Imp, I'm not familiar with that deck." the Examiner admitted.
"Well it pairs well with what I have. Before then I use Tomahawk's effect," Sora shows a second Edge Imp that appears to have chains. "it sends Edge Imp Chain from my hand to the graveyard to deal you 800 points of damage!"
Tomahawk charged blades firing them at the examiner. The Examiner braced himself as he was hit.

"But my goal was to send Chain to the graveyard. Dealing you damage was a nice addition." Sora's Deck ejected a card which he takes. "Cause it allows me to add a Frightfur card to my hand. Frightfur Patchwork!" He reveals a spell over with a grin.
"Alright." the Examiner noted calmly.
"Next I'll use my Fightfur Patchwork!" Sora added using the spell which shows of a stuffed lion being sewed onto a mangled body.

"You what?" the Examiner questioned.
"But first I use my two face-downs! Designer Frightfur, and Fusion Reserve!" Sora activates two traps which one has the stuffed lion being sawed while the other has one of the monsters from Polymerization exiting out a card from the Deck.

At that what rose up now is a purple tiger stuffed doll with two large teeth at the bottom jaw with some blades around it's body growling.

"I think you did about as well as I expected you to do." Yuri smirked causing Sora to pout before looking away to eat his lollipop.
Meanwhile...
"Okay I got my Decks, got my gear, and I got about two minutes to get to the Duel Academy Entrance Exams!"
It was the voice of a chestnut haired boy shaped as a Kuriboh's wearing a standard school uniform running passing by people. This was Jaden Yuki a passionate duelist who desires to become the best Duelist, and to one day face the King of Games; Yugi Muto himself. Right now he had overslept, and is running to try catching up to the Duel Academy Entrance Exams before grinning. "Ah well at least since I'm not a student yet, I can't be in detention hall for being late!"
He then grew distracted, and is unaware of someone walking into his path before he collided against him spilling both his Deck, and Duel Disk. Groaning Jaden moved to start picking up his Decks saying to the guy with a sheepish look, "Sorry."
The man who Jaden collided with looked over noting the cards, and Duel Disk as the boy checks over to see if he didn't miss anything. "You a duelist?"
Hearing that Jaden smiled answering over, "Yeah, I'm just trying out at Duel Academy."
The man gave a small laugh, "You don't say." He opened a Deck Box on his belt as he said this.
"Yeah." Jaden sheepishly laugh after getting his Decks secured before pausing seeing who it is, "Hey, your..."
"Why don't you take this? Something just tells me that it belongs with you." the man offered a card over with a soft smile. Jaden softly takes the card in awe while the man passed him walking off, "Good luck."
"Wait!" Jaden realized he forgotten to thank the man which he turned, "Thank you! I'll... make you proud!" He bowed to him to which the man gave a thumbs up before walking off.
(A/N (Ulrich362): Some characters might appear in more than one of these stories... in which case just assume they're parallel versions who went through the same events or similar ones but with different cards. In this case instead of Ritual Summoning Yugi had a focus on Fusion Summoning.)
That's when he realized he was really running late and started running to the Entrance Exams.
"I can't be the next King of Games if I'm late!" Jaden quickly slips the card into his Deck running more.

"Well ladies, that's it." a man in a suit said to a couple of woman seeing no more applicants, "Mark all the no shows, no-shows."
They nodded preparing to close up before a call interrupted them, "WAIT!" Surprised they looked seeing Jaden climbed over the railing, "You can... count Jaden Yuki present! Well... so long as I don't lose my grip." He chuckled a little nervous at this while the three adults blinked.
"Well, he came just in time." one of the woman admitted to her co-worker.
"But isn't it time to close up shop?" the other one asked.
"Well, we do have two more applicants waiting for their duels so I suppose we can fit him in after Misawa." the suited man mentioned. "I'll go inform Mr. Crowler and Mr. Barrett."
"Awesome thank you!" Jaden grinned heading in. Looking around he soon sees a match, and grinned, "Wow look at him go!" He is seeing a white suited brown haired boy was against a proctor, and from the looks of things he's stuck.

"Huh, you mean you already won your duel?" the blue-haired boy with glasses asked hearing that.
"No... I came in late." Jaden admitted sheepish before grinning. "But hey I'm here now!"
"Huh, wait but the last duel is just about to start." the blue-haired boy with glasses pointed out as they saw Celina waiting for her own opponent. "She's the last person to have a match."
"Wait what?"
Meanwhile at the field the Examiner was a long gray haired woman staring over towards Celina. "Greetings applicant. Your name?"

Up in the stands Sora looked over only to notice Yuri was smirking having seen the duel and actually looked excited which was never a good sign.
"Oh really found someone?" Sora asked a little nervous.
"This Celina might be an interesting opponent." Yuri smirked.
At the same time...
"Well, that's that so..." Barrett started only for the suited man to approach.
"Pardon me, Mr. Crowler?" he asked. "We received one last minute applicant."
The man's eye twitched in frustration but calmly asking, "Did you just call me Mr?"
"Oh I'm sorry I'm new. Mrs. Crowler..." the man started.
"I have a PhD in Dueling I've earned the Title 'Doctor' thank you." the teacher now revealed as Dr. Crowler explained to the man now understanding why he didn't called him right, "Now tell the truants to come back next year."
"Crowler..." Barrett frowned glaring at him with his one good eye.
"Oh come on, he made the effort to come after all and it's not like we don't have time for one more match." mentioned a man sitting next to Dr. Crowler. "What's the harm in giving him his fair shot?"
"Yeah he was only a little late is all." another man agreed over.
"LATE IS RUDE!" The shout startled the adults around him while Barrett blinked as Dr. Crowler unable to accept what his co-workers are saying slammed his hands on his deck yelling, "I have no time for slackers!"
"So you want to be the one to tell The Professor you turned down an applicant?" Barrett asked him.
"He would-"

Before Dr. Crowler can carry on his excuse his personal phone ranged which he answered with an attitude. "Hello and who may I ask is calling right now?"
"It's your new boss."
"Ah Chancellor Akaba." Dr. Crowler replied instantly changing his tone to a pleasant one which made everyone else blinked. "Speak of the devil, we were just talking about you."
"It's the Professor like your own title as Doctor. I'm just calling to see how the Entrance Exams are going over. And I had been told by former Chancellor Sheppard that last year you've away a third of the applicants for not calling you about your title as Doctor?"
"Uh..." the small nervous response was what the Professor had expected from the good doctor.
"Well, this is also a reminder that you give everyone there own time to show what they can do. Unlike you, I don't mind if someone refers me wrong but don't think you'll get a lease away from trouble if I hear just 1 single complaint about it. Mr. Kaiba gave me full permission to hang your career should it happen. Do I make myself clear, Crowler?"
"Y-Yes sir..."
"Good now see to it that you keep your attitude in check, and give every applicant there own chance."
"Right away." Dr. Crowler responded politely, and hanged up which he added with a scornful tone. "Balding windbag..."
Barrett's expression darkened hearing that. "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that. You're on thin ice Crowler."
"Whatever, I'm not scared by you Barrett. I don't even know why the Professor would have you here but nothing I can do. Besides this is the most prestigious Duel School in the country so I don't get why both the former, and current Chancellors can understand that there are enough talentless funkies here." Dr. Crowler made his displeasure of dealing with such people known before shrugging. "But fine since he's the boss, and he wants to give this slacker a shot, fine I'll abide by his decision but with a twist."
He stood up turning to head off only for one of Facilty to call. "Wait a sec, Dr. Crowler who will be the boy's Dueling Procter, and what type of Exam Deck shall we use?"
"Oh leave that to me." With that last note he turned walking off leaving confused staff wondering what he's planning to do.
"Jaden Yuki, please report to exam field three." mentioned a voice.
"Oh yeah! My turn now!" Jaden grinned from this moving to walk down.
"Hang on!" Before he heads down he turns towards the brit boy, Bastion Misawa, the freshman who scored the highest on the Entrance Exams, and who he seen won his match earlier. He also told Bastion he was good probably the second best player here. "If I'm second best then who's first?"
Jaden grinned gesturing to himself, "Your's truly! It's what I'm best at!" He moved down to continue down.
"Wow he sounds confident, I wonder if he's that good." the glasses haired boy, Syrus, remarked to Bastion, Sora, and Yuri staring off as Jaden walked to the field.
"He's going to need to be look at who he's dueling." Bastion said to Syrus with a slight frown.
They all looked as Sora frowned. "A mascot?"
At the Duel Field, Jaden was raised in awe from his surroundings while in front of him was Dr. Crower with a grin. "Alright test time! So son, your name?"
Noticing him Jaden snapped at attention to appear presentable. "Oh... uh Jaden, Jaden Yuki."
"Well 'uh Jaden Yuki', I'm Doctor Vellian Crowler, Depairment Chair of Techniques here at Duel Academy." Dr. Crowler started by mocking him from the 'uh' included before then introducing himself.
"Wow, you're a department chair? With that get-up you're wearing I thought you were some kind of fancy school mascot or something." Jaden admitted rubbing his head with a sheepish grin. "Like a majorette or a cheerleader, hahaha!"
"He did not just say that about Dr. Crowler." Gloria frowned.
"Oh come on sis." Grace giggled at the comment. "You have to admit he's not totally wrong, right Alexis?"
Alexis did had to stifle a small giggle herself while Zane stares on interested. Dr. Crowler wasn't as amused only sweatdropping before he shook his head eager to give this student some talk. "Duel Vest On!" Jaden watched in awe as Dr. Crowler drew his hand when his Duel Disk/coat ejected it for him while humming a tune.
"Whoa, that's a sweet jacket. How do I get one?"
"For being a highly educated student of course." the good doctor then grinned to himself over. 'Except, I won't allow you to tarnish Duel Academy's reputation no matter the reason.'
"So Yuri, honest thoughts?" Sora asked the boy beside him asking him for his opinions before the duel begins.
Yuri looked at Jaden only to pause. "Appearances aside, he's the second person Starving Venom's been eager to challenge."
"Who's Starving Venom?" Syrus asked him confused.
"My partner." Yuri smirked drawing and revealing a card. "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon of course."
Bastion, and Syrus looked over interesting while Bastion admitted. "Interesting... I've never seen a card like that before."
"It... also feels a bit intimidating." Syrus admitted himself feeling a little nervous around the card.
Yuri only chuckled as he turned back to the duel holding his card while they noticed an almost predatory smirk on his face. 'Let's see what this Jaden Yuki is capable of.'
"DUEL!" Jaden and Dr. Crowler called together.

At that what rose behind him was a large brown bricked fortress with rusty mechanical weapons like cannons all around.

Isn't quite what Zane meant but close enough since he had heard of that card too but more interested over the signature Ancient Gear card, Ancient Gear Golem. Dr. Crowler then gestured to the Gadget. "Next Gadget's special ability allows me to pick a card, and when my monsters attack you can't use those monsters whenever I attack."
"Say what?"
"However since I already have what I need no need for such useless jargon." Dr. Crowler shrugged over. "However it's other ability allows it to treat itself as one of the other Gadgets such as Green Gadget!"
Ancient Gear Gadget meditated before a vestige of Green Gadget appeared above it.

"Hey wait a second didn't your opponent use Ancient Gear monsters himself that uses the Gadgets?" Sora asked Yuri suddenly recalling that detail. "You think this guy uses that type of strategy himself?"

"And now I sacrifice Ancient Gear Gadget, and Ancient Gear Wyvern!" The two flew up vanishing as Dr. Crowler rose a card up. "And summon Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon!"
A bright light appeared as something rose up from the light roaring loud. They see what it was is a large brown mechanical rusty dragon monster having pink lines around it's body with a gold plated reactor on it's chest while having various weapons, and machines around it's body with large kite like wings above Dr. Crowler.

Jaden's eyes widened in awe seeing the massive dragon.
"I never seen that card before..." Alexis trailed off also in awe seeing the large mechanical beast also thinking of seeing Ancient Gear Golem but this definitely took her by surprise.
"Sweet monster, what does it do?" Jaden asked grinning.
"Oh your about to find out. First Reactor Dragon rid us of that hero with Reactor Blast!"
Charging a blast from it's reactor electricity crackled around it as it charged in it's powerful jaws over. Dr. Crowler then included something else which is the reason why he didn't do Ancient Gear Gadget's first effect earlier. "And by the way as Reactor Dragon is attacking it's special ability forbids you from using Monster Effects, Spells or Traps until the attack is over with!"
"Huh?" Jaden was quite surprised from this now getting Dr. Crowler's choice earlier. Ancient Gear Gadget's effect from earlier would be the same except only one more specific card but Reactor Dragon shuts down all of them at once.
"Not good, that ability means he can't defend himself." Bastion frowned. "I think this duel is over."
Reactor Dragon fired the blast piercing through Wildedge easily while Jaden grunted bracing himself. (Jaden: 3600/Hand: 1)
"And here is another effect. Since Reactor Dragon attacks your face-down you were hoping to use is destroyed!" Reactor Dragon charged it's tail piercing Jaden's face-down destroying it.
'So much for Hero Signal...' Jaden stared at the fragments of his destroyed face-down over. At least Dr. Crower doesn't have anymore monsters that can attack so that means he can be safe for now.
However he notices Dr. Crowler giving a smirk in his direction. "Since I used a Gadget monster to Tribute Summon Reactor Dragon it can attack one more time." Jaden paled widening his eyes hearing that which means as he's wide open Reactor Dragon can strike him full force. "Reactor Dragon attack!" Reactor Dragon fired another blasting over striking Jaden who cried out from the attack while Dr. Crowler smirked over from this while Jaden barely stands on his feet not bothering to stand down. (Jaden: 0600/Hand: 1)
"If you want to turn tail and run nobody could blame you, perhaps you'll have better luck next year." Dr. Crowler smirked. "It's plain to see you're not qualified to enroll at Duel Academy yet."
However Jaden started laughing which Dr. Crowler raised an eyebrow about before Jaden rose up with a grin. "Now I REALLY want to be in this school now! You really know your stuff teach!"
"He's laughing?" Gloria questioned. "Has he lost his mind?"
"No." both Grace, and Gloria turned over seeing Alexis has a knowing smile. "If I remember that expression from seeing my brother have it, he is getting motivated to giving it his all, and have a good time."
"Being motivated is fine but he'll need a miracle to win." Zane noted thoughtfully as he watched the duel.
Dr. Crowler himself looks really irritated from seeing this. 'Doesn't he get it... he is NOT allowed to pass this exam, and he certainly won't be mocking MY Deck!' "You want more, then..." He discarded a monster known as Ancient Gear Hydra before showing a spell. "Then try something like Ancient Gear Drill!"

And even if Jaden tries to defend himself it's Special Ability allows it to attack twice so having just 1 monster for defense wouldn't matter if he doesn't have more then 1."
"Except he's grinning." Yuri pointed out with a smirk. "He has something planned."
"Alright scholar, I'm a busy man so I don't mean to rush you. You done?"
"Far from it. I know that Gaia's attack points are lower then your Dragon's however Gaia has a sweet superpower. When summoned it can take half of Reactor Dragon's points for his own!"
Gaia pressurized gravity trapping Reactor Dragon as it roared feeling it's power getting syphoned.

"Not a bad trick huh teach?" Jaden still has his grin as he places down a card. "Alright your move."

'This kid has potential... and if anyone can bring it out it's The Professor.' he thought before closing his eye. 'Then again... I doubt Crowler will let him join the top rank even if he does win.'
"Alright fine you want a cool trick!?" Dr. Crowler drew looking over.
"Yeah teach but actually before then, I'm gonna have to cut you off there cause I activate my face-down!" Jaden quickly called using his face-down.

"Wait, but that monster takes two sacrifices and you don't haver any." Jaden argued seeing the stars on the monster.
"Well I don't need to sacrifice a card... all you have to do is look into my graveyard." Dr. Crowler gestured over which Jaden does look. "If it holds Ancient Gear Monsters who's level but twice that of my Golem, THEY become the sacrifice, even though their already destroyed."
"He can summon that monster without sacrificing anything?" Syrus asked only to pause. "Wait... but he doesn't have enough monsters in the graveyard does he?"
"Reactor Dragon is Level 9 so he needs 7 levels to be able to summon Ancient Gear Golem." Sora explained over. "But does he have a Level 7 though? Both Gadget, and Wyvern are Level 4 each."
"No he has a Level 7." they looked to Bastion who is staring at the duel. "If you remember earlier, Dr. Crowler had to discard a card for Ancient Gear Drill's effect. Though the view is tricky, I seen the card he discarded was Ancient Gear Hydra, another monster that requires Gadgets to be Tribute Summoned with to be useful. However, I know that Hydra's Level is 7, and combine it with Reactor Dragon's own 9, it combines into 16 which is twice that of Golem's 8."
"True, but he can't bring it out yet so he still has a chance to turn things around." Syrus mentioned before pausing. "I mean... if he's lucky."
Destroyed parts of the Ancient Gear monsters started to enter the factory as the stars glowed whirling around while Jaden starts to have a bad feeling. "So please let's all welcome: Ancient Gear Golem!" The good doctor rose his arm as the factory split revealing a large rusty mechanical golem letting out a hollow roar with a glowing red eye which awed everyone from seeing a powerful monster being summoned.

The response he got wasn't what anyone was expecting. "Ah no way! I always wanted to take one on!"
"Excuse me!?" Dr. Crowler asked shocked at that.
"Man he is sure is staring down at that large piece of junk without a care in the world..." Sora remarked over. "But then again me too, that card... doesn't really look very interesting."
"True, but it might have a hidden ability. Only time will tell." Yuri agreed.
"If you want too know, it also does what Reactor Dragon does only on Spell, and Traps, and can deal damage even if it's opponent's monster is in defense position." Bastion stated over towards them in case there curious being an expert of knowing what kind of cards there are.
"That's it?" Sora asked. "Lame."
"Well then if you want a challenge..." Jaden raised an eyebrow as Dr. Crowler pressed a button. "I believe you remember I set a spell last round? This was it!"
He gestured over which his face-down was revealed a spell.

At that a large rumbling occurred before what rose up large enough to reach the celling of the stadium was a large mechanical monster with plated purple armor, and two large mechanical hound like shoulder armors, and two large claws held up with rod like bones.

I may not be allowed to attack this turn, but you should know whatever you try will be pointless."

"Sora... do you want to make a small wager on this duel?" Yuri asked his roommate with a smirk.
Sora grinned over towards him. "Oh no often you make some bets. Alright how much are we betting, and what are you betting on?"
"I predict Jaden Yuki will destroy Chaos Giant this turn and win the duel." Yuri told him. "If he doesn't, I'll give you Staving Venom Fusion Dragon."
"Oh quick a solid bet." Sora grinned over before thinking over his own bet. "Alright... should I lose against you, I think, I'll hand you that new Predaplant card you wanted me to give ya. Deal?"
"Deal." Yuri smirked before turning to Syrus and Bastion. "We don't bet money, just small friendly wagers as roommates... of course Sora has never beaten me so... maybe I will start charging him."
They both blinked before they shrugged turning back at the match where they seen Jaden drew looking over his options wandering what to do.
"This duel is as good as over." Chazz smirked. "There's no way he can beat Dr. Crowler."
Soon he grinned. "I got it!" He takes a card. "Okay I use a card you never heard of! Parallel World Fusion!"

Everyone looked stunned hearing that.
"Fusing Banished Monsters now!?" Gloria questioned in disbelief.
Bladedge, and Stratos rose up again fusing.
"HERO capable of calling the storms! Join together with the hero of the blade to join together into a Hero capable to control even the most savage winds! Fusion Summon! Level 8, Elemental HERO Great Tornado!"
What rose was a green suited muscular warrior with a torn up cape, and a mask readying with a superhero pose.

"You know what teach your right? Great Tornado isn't strong enough however what it does is when summoned, he can halve the points of all monsters on your field!"
Quickly knowing that's trouble for him, Dr. Crowler vainly tried to prevent it. "Wait timeout!"
"Go!" Great Tornado blasted strong winds weakening Chaos Giant.
Chaos Ancient Gear Giant: (ATK: 4500 / 2 = 2250/DEF: 3000 - 1500 = 1500)
"Now go! Finish it!"
Both Gaia, and Great Tornado moved in attacking Chaos Giant at several spots as it stomped around slamming it's hands to try catching them which they quickly avoided while attacking at some spots. Reaching it's head they both fired a mix of earthen, and wind attacks destroying the top of it's head at once before it got on it's knees collapsing down on the good doctor.

Jaden grinned giving a finger pose. "That's game! So I passed huh teach?"
The holograms vanished as Dr. Crowler said to himself in disbelief, "Impossible... There's no way this delinquent could defeat me...!"
Yuri smirked. "Interesting."
Sora sighed from this. "Boy nothing gets by you huh...?" He handed a card to Yuri.
"Just looking at him, you could see he wasn't going to lose." Yuri smirked.
"What do you think Zane?" Alexis asked him.
Zane only closed his eyes. "I have a feeling this is going to be a very interesting year."
BANG!
That startled both the boys turning their attention to Chazz who has a majorly pissed off look, "There's no way, Crowler can lose to sone flunky! Oh, I gotta make sure he gets the message..."
"It was probably a fluke Chazz." pointed out a boy with glasses.
"Fluke or skill... either way he has my attention." Chazz rose up leaving.
The two boys with him follower Chazz out.

Ulrich362: True, but six new students and some new faculty are attending Duel Academy.
bopdog111: Duel Academy will still be the large military base it was before but it'll form by slowly since the Professor will devote to gaining the trust of the students, and bond over with them to have them fight for him.
