(Ladies and Gentlemen, First, I want to thank all of you for taking the time to read this. This is a sequel to Delivery. It takes place roughly a few years after Delivery. As with Delivery it is based on MistressWinowyll's Take what you Want Universe. Some aspects from the extra scenes are canon here, so be sure to read those. In addition while both Delivery and Roanapur Nights take place in the Take What You Wantverse both are more or less Side Stories. Meaning that they're fun, and interesting stories that take place in the Main Universe, but aren't completely necessary to enjoy the main story itself. It's sort of a this happened between, or while that was going on so was this.
And again, welcome back to Roanapur, remember to watch your wallets.)
Roanapur Nights
A Rosario+Vampire and Black Lagoon Crossover
Chapter 1
The castle before them was certainly something that Revy hadn't expected to see. Granted, they were there for a job, and she had no problem working for the woman that had saved her husband's life. Besides, Lady Dimitrescu was actually a gracious hostess. The other side of being here was that Roxanne had an episode. Word had made it back to her husband's savior and she wanted to see the girl.
Rock was wearing a pair of sunglasses, and she understood why. Ever since Roxy's episode his eyes had changed. One was blood red, and the other was gold and looked reptilian. From what Chyou had said the transformation was complete. Her Rocky baby was officially a monster. Apparently he was a living Vampire. That was something that had to be explained to her. Sunlight didn't affect all vampires. Granted, it could weaken some, but the only ones that it really bothered were the undead vampires. Those were vampires who had been turned right after death.
There weren't many of them, and she was certainly glad that neither Rock or Roxy were of that variety. Still, they had docked next to the castle, and currently they were working on getting the order out and stacked. The order itself wasn't too odd. A small collection of speciality weapons from the Huang family. Revy had taken a moment to go over the weapons herself, and she could feel something off about most of them. Ling Ling, the second head of the family, had stated that each of them were designed to be used by various monsters.
Of course Ling Ling looked a little like she was practically glowing. Her best guess was that the undead bitch had gotten a mighty fine dicking before talking to them. Still, she was going to be glad to get the weapons out and away from them. Looking up she saw the woman that had saved Rock walking out toward the dock.
She neared them both, and Revy could see her studying both Roxanne and Rock for a moment, "Ah, it is as I was informed," she said before motioning for them to follow, "I will have my servants come and attend to the weapons, please follow me."
Walking to the castle itself Revy noticed how sturdy it appeared. Each stone looked perfectly cut, and to her surprise it didn't have the haphazard look of the castles on the old Robin Hood Movies. This was a different beast entirely. She wasn't naive enough to believe that the movies were accurate in any regard, but she had thought that the sets would be at least similar in design. Despite the differences she continued to follow her husband and daughter into the castle itself.
They came into a large circular room, and in the center of it was a book sitting on a pedestal. The book itself looked ancient. Its leather covering was well worn around the edges, and she could see how yellowed its pages were. Sitting beside it was an old fashioned quill pen. She noticed the dark red ink well, and of course she instantly wondered if it was full of blood.
Lady Dimitrescu lifted the quill, dipped it into the dark red ink well, and then handed it to Rock, "You are no longer a vassal," she said as he took the pen, "you are now my son. As such, your daughter is my granddaughter."
"Wait, what do you mean he's your son?"
She looked at Revy, and instead of looking upset she seemed to consider her question, "It was my blood that saved his life," she said simply as she studied her, "As such it means that he has fully accepted and transformed from the blood. In addition it also means that Roxanne is at the very least a dhampir."
Revy looked at her for a moment, "You mean she's part vampire, right?"
Lady Dimitrescu nodded, "Just so," she replied, her eyes on their daughter, "As she grows older she will have the ultimate choice to make."
Hearing that her daughter would have to make a choice bothered Revy. It wasn't like she didn't understand that there were choices in the world. Try to fix something for supper or grab a family pack of burritos from Tao's, leave a bruise or a scar on a little shit that was messing with her kid, or her favorite choice so far traditional or anal after they were sure that Roxy was asleep. Those were choices. But something dealing with the fact that her daughter was part vampire wasn't a fuckin' choice.
"What kind of choice?" Revy asked, trying her hardest to remember that she was indebted to this woman for saving Rock, and that the woman could, if she wanted to, pick her arms off like she was picking the wings off of a fly, "What does my baby have to choose?"
For a moment Lady Dimitrescu studied Revy, and a slight smile crossed her face, "In truth, I believe that you would do well as one of us," she practically purred, "Your fierce devotion to protecting your child only proves that you have the proper temperament to become more than merely human."
She stretched, "In truth, I believe that you would do well as a Succubus. Fiercely loyal to their destined one, exceptionally protective of their offspring, and deadly when pushed into a corner," she said as she walked around Revy, "I dare say that you already have the looks for it."
She stopped and looked back at Roxanne, "But the choice is simple. She can either learn how to control her powers, or she can forgo it. If she decides to not learn of her powers I will have Benca bind her power."
Revy looked around, and from the shadows a woman dressed in a maid's outfit stepped. She automatically went on edge. The maid's uniform was too familiar. It was the same cut, design, and layout as that damned Lovelace maid. She felt herself go on edge, ready to fight against another Terminator when the maid snickered, "Ah, I have a feeling that you have met the one I helped train."
Revy studied her, and the woman moved closer. She was about Revy's height, her bust was modest as were her hips, but what was striking about her was her golden reptilian eyes. Her hair was a glossy black, and her skin was a soft tan. A slight puff of smoke leaked out of a nostril before her eyes corrected themselves. They looked more human, and the maid gave a slight bow.
"I am Benca, maid to the Dimitrescu family, and the one that trained Rosarita Cisneros," she said with a smile, "Although I believe you would know her better as Roberta. I wouldn't have trained her, but she has a hint of Dragon's blood in her. One of her ancestors was likely related to me."
Revy studied her hard, and she didn't flinch, "Dragon or not I put her on her ass."
The words had left her mouth even before she could consider them. The fact that this woman looked like her, and the fact that she had helped to train her, only made it worse. She wasn't sure how she had trained her, or what her part in it was, but it was enough to make her see red. The glasses bitch had gotten damn close to ending her life. She almost stole her away from the life she had now, and maybe it was a sore subject because of the fact that she'd gotten laid out too.
Still, neither Benca nor Lady Dimitrescu moved toward her. Instead Benca began to laugh. It was a deep belly laugh, the kind that came when someone found something truly humorous. After a moment she stopped, "Ah, well. As I said she had a hint of Dragon's blood. There was quite a bit of dilution that happened due to the multiple generations of humans in the genepool," she replied, the laughter still very present in her words, "but the fact that you managed to fight her and live is evidence enough that you are of a strong stock."
She turned toward the girl who looked nervous. Gently she knelt down, "Hello," she said, her voice soft, "I am Benca. What's your name?"
Revy watched her daughter look toward both her and Rock. She nodded, and her daughter looked back at the woman, "My name is Roxanne, but my mommy and daddy call me Roxy."
She grinned, "Then I shall call you Roxy, if you will allow me to," she said as she stood, "Now, while you are here would you like to talk about what happened before?"
Revy saw her daughter shake her head, move toward Rock and lean into his side. He held her for a moment, "It's okay Roxy," he said to her, her voice soft, "They need to know."
She swallowed, "There was a bad man," she said, her voice so impossibly small, "He was doing things, bad things, hurting Taro."
She saw her daughter shake slightly, "Taro's my friend, one of my best friends, his Daddy works for Miss Ling Ling, and I saw him jab Taro with a needle. I don't know what happened, I really don't, but one minute he was hurting Taro, and the next minute he was sticking out of a window."
Revy knelt down, and Roxy ran to her. She held her daughter as she shook, "It's alright shortstack," she said softly, rubbing her hair, "You did the right thing. That bastard deserved what he got."
"Undoubtedly," Lady Dimitrescu said as she touched her chin, "But the fact remains that you touched an ancient power, Roxanne."
She neared her, "And so, I am going to ask you something. You may take time to consider and answer, but would you like to know how to use that power without going by pure reflex?"
Revy felt her daughter holding her tighter, "Mama, can you teach me?"
She smiled as she held her, "I can teach you how to fight," she answered honestly, "And I can teach you how to shoot, but I'm afraid I don't know a thing about that power."
Revy knew that Roxy was smarter than she had been when she was her age. In truth she chalked it up to the fact that she had two parents that adored and cared for her. Her little girl understood that she would teach her all she could, but at the end of the day there were some things she couldn't teach her. She looked toward Lady Dimitrescu.
"Will I be able to remember what happened?"
Revy watched as the taller woman smiled at her daughter. To her surprise she knelt down, even though she was technically still towering over her, and touched her shoulder, "I promise that once you learn how to control the power you have there won't be a moment that you forget a thing."
Revy watched as Rock moved forward, "I'm guessing that it means we'll both need to learn," he said, and Revy understood the tone. He'd come a long way since he first joined them, and even further since they transported the Huang family syndicate. He was still the same, but he was more confident. It certainly was a turn on, and at this moment he wasn't giving any room for an argument.
Lady Dimitrescu studied him, and seeing that he wasn't just going to abandon their child she gave a slight smile before nodding, "Of course," she replied as she gestured toward her daughters, "I will arrange for Cassandra to accompany you. She will teach you both on how to best use your abilities," she said as a figure formed from the shadows, "Cassandra, I wish for you to accompany Mr. and Mrs Okajima back to Roanapur. Once there you will begin teaching them how to access and control their vampiric natures."
Cassandra bowed gracefully, "Of course mother," she said before moving toward them, "Mother, if either need to have their power sealed?"
Revy looked at her, "We're allies with the Huang and Maio Families, and I'm sure that," Revy said before stopping herself from calling one of their allies by a name she had referred to Ling Ling as most of the time, "Ling Ling should be able to assist."
Lady Dimitrescu smiled, "Good, then it is settled. Cassandra, pack what you need."
