It was the Spring of 1969. In the mountains of the highlands of Northern Scotland, a young black wolf was thrown to the ground by a big grey wolf. The grey wolf towered over the younger wolf. Pressing his front paw against the young wolf's throat. The pup wiggle and whimpered under the weight of the older wolf. Snarling at the pup, the grey wolf shifts into a burly man. He looks like a mixture of a man and beast.

"Get up Tracey!" Growled the man-beast "AGAIN! You will never be Alpha if you can't hold your ground." The black wolf shifted into a young girl with tears streaming down her face. Hands clasped together in front of her and head bowed, submitting to the older man.

"I am trying PaPa!" she softly spoke.

"You are not trying hard enough. Stop your blubbering and pull yourself together. You are to be the next Alpha." Growled the man. At the sound of the girl still whimpering, the man-beast growls got louder, nails lengthening in size, he lashed out scratching the girl's left side of her face. Screaming, the girl fell to the ground. She held her hand to her face as blood trickled down the side of her face. "You are not allowed to return to the pack until you can beat Brutus." The man turned and left.

The girl's heart dropped into her stomach. Tracey knew that it was tradition that the spring after her tenth birthday she was to face the existing Alpha, her father Fenrir Greyback, in a fight and if she had failed then she was to be banished from the pack till the next spring. Where she is to fight the Beta of the pack to determine if she remains banished or is allowed back into the pack. She remained on the ground with her left hand over her left eye, staring at the dirt with blood dripping off her face. She knew she was no match for Brutus, the Beta of the pack. He was twice her size and three times her age. Getting angry, Tracey slammed her fists into the ground. A rumble started in her chest, slowly it bubbled up and released into a vicious growl.

Wanting to return to the pack, Tracey got up and began to walk to the nearest river, knowing by now that the pack was long gone. Tracey walked into the river to clean herself up. She carefully dunked her head under water to help clean her face. Fully submerged, Tracey held her breath and waited under water. Having practiced holding her breath, Tracey knew she could last up to four minutes under water. Re-emerging from the water, Tracey noticed something terribly wrong. She took her hand and covered her right eye, gasping as she uncovered her eye. Eyes widening, Tracey began to shake. Breaths coming in pants, she shakes her head softly and she begins to whimper. Tracey threw her head back and released a haunting howl. She was blind in her left eye. Tracey crawled out of the water and laid on the bank of the river. Exhausted from the day she had. Tracey fell asleep on the bank.

TIME JUMP

A full year has passed since her banishment from the pack. Tracey knew her Father would be turning up for her. He always knew how to track her down.

She was ready for the face down. Tracey managed to survive the harsh Scottish winter. She had a couple close calls, one with a centaur and another was a Highland cattle. Tracey managed to escape by her teeth. All day Tracey had an unnerving feeling that something was going to happen, so Tracey took up to stay near the river. She entered the river and submerged herself in the river. She watched the surface from her spot in the water. She saw a big russet colored wolf emerging from the treeline. Tracey knew that this was Brutus. This was it, this was the smack down that she had been preparing for. She could sense that her Father was nearby watching.

The wolf sniffed the ground. They stopped and looked around. Tracey slowly moved to some reeds and tall grass. She kept an eye on the wolf. The other wolf was walking along the treeline. Crouching down Tracey let out a soft growl. Her sense of smell and hearing increased more since she lost her sight in one eye. Tracey could hear her Father's breathing and the rest of the pack was about another 20 meters away. She remembered not to go straight for the jugular, it was a rookie mistake that she made last time. When she saw that Brutus' back was to her, she took her opportunity to strike. She bounded out towards Brutus. Leaping towards the other wolf teeth bared. The russet wolf turned slightly before being knocked into the ground. Thus the fight commenced.

Tracey sunk her teeth into his fur, she latched onto the scruff of Brutus. Growling Brutus threw his whole body back, crushing Tracey. Tracey yelped and let go of Brutus. Brutus leapt up and got into a fighting position. Tracey quickly mimics Brutus. Both wolves were snarling at each other. They both charged at each other. Tracey leapt over Brutus, before landing Brutus grabbed and locked his jaw onto her hind leg. Yelping, she was tossed back to the ground. Tracey quickly got up and struck again, snapping at Brutus. Teething gnashing, claws swiping at each other, it was a brutal battle. Going for the kill Brutus grabbed onto Tracey jugular. Teeth sinking into her neck, Tracey knew this is not how it is supposed to end. Remembering seeing a trick from a wildcat, Tracey used all her might. She pulled her hind legs up and raked her claws on the under belly of Brutus. Brutus lets go of Tracey's jugular and is thrown off of the younger wolf. He was soon pinned down under the smaller wolf, he growled and tried to wriggle free. Tracey increased the pressure on him. Tracey growls at him, increasing the growl and baring her teeth at him, he stops. Brutus stretched his neck knowing that he was no match. He stood still himself and submitted to Tracey. Lightly she clamped down on his neck and held that position for a good thirty seconds. She let go and backed up a few steps. She turned towards the forest and howled, the rest of the pack joined in. Tracey stopped and looked at the treeline and saw her Father come out in his human form. He stopped ten feet in front of her, he gave her a nod and spoke.

"Time to come home." He gruffly said. He shifted back to his wolf form and headed back into the forest. With her head held high, she limped after her father. Brutus soon followed after her. As they passed the pack, she saw that they nodded towards her. They were a couple feet past them when they broke out into a sprint, the whole pack followed in pursuit. Bounding towards a new area to call home.

They continued on for ten miles, when they finally came to a stop. Fenrir shifted back to his human form and sent a group of fifteen to scout the area to ensure that there were other predators in the area. Once the fifteen came back with the all clear, the pack began to set up camp. He motioned for Tracey to follow him. Tracey shifted to her human form and followed her father. They went five meters away from the pack. Fenrir turned and faced his daughter.

"The time has come for you to go to Hogwarts." He gruffly said and chucked the letter at her. He turned away as she quickly ripped opened the letter and scanned the contents. She chucked the letter on the ground.

"I don't want to go!" She huffed. Fenrir whipped around so fast and growled

"You will go!"

"No, I won't. I don't want to be surrounded by dumb humans." She snarled

"Well you aren't that bright either so you'll fit right in. I am Alpha now and you will listen to me." Eyes glowing amber, Fenrir stared down Tracey. She stared back with her eye glowing amber and her other eye remained white, still seeing nothing out her left eye. The held the stare for a good two minutes before she broke the gaze and submitted to her Father.

"Find I'll go." She stamped her foot.

"We shall leave in two months time to Diagon Alley so you can send your response and get your supplies." Fenrir turned and left. He walked back to his pack. Tracey plopped herself down in a huff.

"Stupid Father making me go to stupid school with stupid pansy humans." She grumbled. "I will show them who is Alpha and make them rue the day!"
