Hello, everyone. Let's get on with this mission briefing. With this year marking the 45th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, along with the upcoming releases of both Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance and the second Hathaway's Flash movie, I have decided that now is a good time to commission this new project of mine-Mobile Suit Gundam: White Devil's Legacy - The Chronicles of Yoshiyuki Tomino's Universal Century.

The contents of this fic will be a cohesive and well-detailed recounting of the Universal Century Gundam timeline, using elements from every major Gundam installment that takes place in the mainline continuity of the Universal Century up until now. So, AU series such as G Gundam, Wing, and SEED won't be included in this series. I'll be also omitting two certain series in this timeline that'll probably bring up some controversy among any hardcore U.C. fans reading this. Those two series being Turn A Gundam and Gundam Reconguista in G. While these two series do have deep connections to the Universal Century with them both being written by the franchise creator Yoshiyuki "Kill 'Em All" Tomino, I personally don't see either of them as part of the U.C., but amalgamized settings that utilizes elements of past series prior their respective releases with the Correct Century and the Regild Century might be two of many scenarios of what might happen in the far future of the Universal Century following the events of Victory Gundam and G-Saviour.

And before anyone goes nuts in the comments, I also want to shout out that I know that certain series such as Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin (both the OVA and manga), the Gundam 0079 Novelization (Awakening, Escalation, and Confrontation) and Compilation Films (Journey to Jaburo, Soldiers of Sorrow, and Encounters in Space), Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children, and Gaia Gear, while are part of Universal Century Gundam, are not canon to the main timeline and take place in their own respective continuities. But I'll be using elements from each of these series to fill out certain gaps in the timeline and expand the universe.
