WELCOME to Fracturing Skies v2!

*x*

I'm kind of starting to equate the 541-6238 storylines with the shit timelines, the ones where everything that can go wrong, seems to. Maybe because Bloodborne is so bleak? I dunno. Not like Dark Souls is a ray of sunshine…

Anywho!

This is the start to the Bleach Hollow AU storyline of Fracturing Skies. This story will add to the line-up already currently in rotation (and I am planning on adding a chapter to the DGM 8675-309 storyline today or tomorrow, just an fyi), and will receive updates as I go. I have one more Bleach storyline to add to the list of ongoing stories tied to this universe before I plan on settling with these arcs to start with. I figure that I should get some of these stories moving forward a bit before adding the next story arc. I am leaning towards YuYu Hakusho or Soul Eater to be the next thing. While I have the arcs for Fullmetal Alchemist mostly figured out, I am weaving dates of the various stories together and want to be a bit further along in DGM and Bleach before I start cementing the dates for FMAB. Lots and lots of planning. I do so much planning. Thank God for computers. I'd've killed a forest by now with just my story meanderings…

SUMMARY:

Worlds that never should have met become one. Things that should never have happened, occur. And with all these fractured universes combining, Ichigo Kurosaki finds himself in a world of death and decay, wrapped in a never-ending cycle of blood and rage. Eaten by Grand Fisher and cast into the depths of Hueco Mundo, he must rise above his instincts. But…will he still be a protector? Or will he just be a killer?

And he isn't the only hero in peril. Edward and Alphonse Elric, Yusuke Urameshi, Maka Albarn, Allen Walker, and the SG-1 team are struggling as well. In a world full of Hollows, Demons, Kishin, and Akuma, (and a galaxy seemingly overrun by the tyrannous goa'uld), along with other darkened spirits from an altogether different universe, the heroes of six different original universes must find a way to fix their broken realities.

But how do you know to fix something if you don't even know that it is broken?

Normal text.

Thinking.*feelings*

/*instincts*/

"Spoken out loud."

'Magic Weapon speaking. *feelings*'

'White Zangetsu speaking. (the true Zangetsu) *feelings*' This will also be how Soul Eater Weapons communicate with their wielder when in Weapon form.

'Old Man Zangetsu speaking. *feelings*' This will also be how Soul Eater Weapons communicate their feelings via their wavelengths. Meisters can communicate mentally with their Weapons in this manner as well.

'Junior's personas speaking when inside his mind. *feelings*' (I'll get into this in the story, but any 'voice' that is not in control but is inside his mind speaks this way. I'll tag each voice in a way so you all can understand what is going on, but there aren't enough bold/underline/italics combinations to make 49 separate ways of writing and this site doesn't allow for different fonts. Sorry)

'Werewolf 'mind' speaking.'

"Speaking a different language, but it is written in English."

Mental communication outside an imprint. *feelings*

Essence ribbon/Spirit ribbon sensing. *feelings*

'Essence Aura/Spiritual Pressure sensing. *feelings*'

"Imprint communication. *feelings*"

"Pack Link. *feelings*"

I think they are thinking this with their face. Also used for telepathic glimpses of information, like when one individual reads another's mind.

"Recalling what someone else said."

I am dwelling on what happened. *I am dwelling on how I felt.*

"I am recalling what I said."

I am recalling something I read to myself. Blood Memories are written this way. Recalling rumors I heard. *feelings from Blood Memories*

"I am reiterating what I read or heard about out loud. Blood Memories are talked about out loud this way. Rumors are shared this way." (rumors)

NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION/ANNOUNCEMENTS

*"speaking through a communication device (NOT like nonverbal communication or announcements over an intercom"*

/copied words to pull the reader to the next scene, oftentimes used when having flashbacks that can distract from a current event. /

Without further adieu, I do NOT own Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Avatar, Yu Yu Hakusho, Soul Eater, D Gray Man, nor anything in the Stargate universe (books, movies, and tv shows included).

I ONLY own the characters from Chronicles of Seraphia, as well as my own twists to each of the original characters and timelines, and any OCs I add.

I am marking this story with M for Mature. There will be swearing, detailed depictions of fighting, mutilations, etc. throughout. This story is written in the same vein as the current D Gray Man and Bleach Fracturing Skies storylines, so expect similar writing and intensity. There is a REASON that it is marked M for MATURE.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

ARC 1: WHITE

CHAPTER 1: WHITE

BLEACH HOLLOW AU

Timeline: 541-6238

*x*

He died on June 17, 1994. It was quick, as these things often were, stealing his life and that of his mother's in the blink of an eye. All he had wanted was to save the life of a little girl that looked seconds away from jumping into a swollen river. He didn't want this, this oblivion of darkness and despair, littered with thousands of whispering voices and haunting screams that threatened to crush his existence. The only ray of light that shined in this sea of anguish he knew belonged to his mother.

He had gotten her killed. He didn't know how, or what had caused it, but she was dead. Just like him. Somehow, he didn't think that death would be so chaotic, a cesspool of swirling energy that weighed him down, pressing against the tattered remains of his mind. Only his mother's light protected him from getting swallowed, shielding and strengthening him.

He didn't know how long it was before his awareness shifted, allowing him to see outside the darkness. After so long in that dark hell, it took him a while to understand what he was finally seeing. A dark cavern that should have been frightening felt nearly homely, his head high above everything. He blinked, trying to understand how he could be so tall.

It was hard to concentrate. Those voices and shrill cries threatened to pull him back under. But then his mother was there again, unable to speak, but he could feel her intent, nonetheless. She was protecting him again, helping him, saving him. Her actions had a cost, though. He could feel it in her soul. The power that she lent him had to come from somewhere, and after what felt like years being trapped in darkness, her final act stripped the last of her strength.

His mother's light flickered out as she gave him the last of her energy.

With her finally gone, the whispers and howls rose like a tidal wave, threatening to overwhelm him. It was so hard to think, but he refused to give up. He didn't want his mother's last act to be in vain. So, he began the painstaking process of forcing the clambering voices down, silencing them with force.

Rage made the process easier, and with each soul dominated, the stronger he felt that he was. He still couldn't speak nor concentrate much on the world around him, so utterly consumed by dominating all the minds scraping over his thoughts, but eventually, he rose to the top, finally for once understanding what was going on.

He was still Ichigo, a young boy, a burgeoning protector at heart. But he was so much more now, a Gillian class Menos, the lowest rung of upper echelon hollows. He was hungry and empty, devoid of nearly everything that had once made him human, a bottomless pit of need that clung to his every waking moment like tar. And he was strong, not so mindless as the other Gillians surrounding him.

They were nothing more than prey.

He had a feeling that he was different than the other Gillians, but without the capability to see himself, he had to wait for another to point it out to him.

"Hey!" a voice shouted from down below. It was an adjuchas class Menos, stronger than he was at that moment by a long shot. Ichigo didn't know how he knew that, nor did he understand the desire to submit to the stronger hollow. It was all so instinctual that he simply paused to gaze upon the small being at his feet. The adjuchas was looking away from him but pointing at him, speaking to the other two adjuchas with him. "Look at this Gillian! It's pure white!"

Huh, so that's what was different…

He didn't have time to think anything more, the adjuchas turning its attention toward him once more. "Come with me, White One."

Ichigo felt the instinctual need to obey, following the order without question. Somewhere deep inside him, he knew that these adjuchas were the guardians of the Menos Forest, the place he existed in now, installed by the leadership in the far-off palace of Las Noches. They were placed in charge of monitoring the region for any burgeoning adjuchas and maintained a loose sort of order, ensuring that no invaders could enter Hueco Mundo. How he knew this, he couldn't say for sure, but it didn't feel like his memory. It felt like the knowledge belonging to another soul he had dominated.

Following his instincts, he listened to the adjuchas and went with them.

*x*

Unable to speak, he stood as a silent sentinel, looming over the guardians of the forest as they made their rounds through the vast underground. Gleaned from the minds trapped beneath his iron will, Ichigo learned that the Menos Forest ran under the entirety of Hueco Mundo's sands, stretching as far as the world reached. Such a vast distance was far too much for three adjuchas to manage all on their own, but they largely weren't concerned with anything too far from Las Noches.

That left a lot of ground for him to cover on his own.

"White One, go find good souls to consume. When you evolve, report back to us for your next assignment."

It was an order he was all too eager to follow, that constant nagging hunger an eternal backdrop in his mind, urging him to consume. He desperately wanted that urge to go away, but it never had in all the time he had spent in this desolate place.

Lumbering away from the adjuchas, he contemplated how he would satisfy the void in his heart when he had a terrible time sensing other hollows. He couldn't even smell them, his detection skills failing that task as well. Shuffling in a random direction, he simply decided to go where his feet took him, eyeing his surroundings for any sign of life.

*x*

As he travelled, he discovered that the smaller hollows fled as he approached, moving much too quickly for him to pursue. Growling in frustration, he settled on eating his fellow Gillians, the other large hollows not noticing the threat he posed until it was too late. Part of him felt satisfied at downing such a great collection of souls, but another part of him thought it was poor sport. The other Gillians (with the exception of a few with unique masks that he left alone) were too dumb to even defend themselves, the mindless brutes simply standing there and allowing themselves to be consumed.

It both disgusted him and infuriated him. Here he was preying on the weak.

Wasn't he a protector?

Ichigo shelved that thought for later consideration, wondering if he thought of himself as a protector because that was his memory, or someone else's. He didn't know, but it was too complicated to focus on.

Zeroing in on another Gillian, he continued eating.

*x*

Approximately one hundred fifty-six Gillians later, clarity settled over his mind like a thick blanket, the thousands of shouting voices in his head quieted in the first time since he had died. It jarred him to go from the cacophony of noise to utter silence, but he couldn't say that it was a bad thing. Being able to think once more was a blessing that he didn't believe he would ever enjoy again. He breathed a sigh of relief, finally able to categorize his situation.

He had been Ichigo Kurosaki, a nine-year-old boy learning karate so that he could protect his mother and sisters. Now, he was dead and a hollow, a Gillian-class Menos Grande, the lone white Gillian in the region (and probably all of Hueco Mundo, too). He noted that he was slightly shorter than the average Gillian, a fact that both puzzled and irritated him to no end. He didn't feel close to evolving, so why was he so different than the others?

With no answer in sight, he focused his rage on another nearby normal (black) Gillian, vaporizing its upper body with a cero, before he descended on it with teeth and claws, shredding it. He was faster than the other Gillians, now, something that he didn't notice before, although thinking through the earlier racket in his mind had made observations impossible.

Tearing through his fellow hollows and consuming their spirit energy was also far better to focus on than on his deep desire to see his family again. He missed them. He didn't think that it would be possible to miss his siblings and dad so much, but he did. He yearned to see them again, but deep down, he knew that they couldn't see him like this. Not when he didn't even resemble the brother they had known and lost.

He buried his sadness with rage, ceroing a nearby Gillian and moving in for another feast.

AUTHOR'S NOTES:

So, I have some loose date ranges written down that I am working with, but a lot of the Hueco Mundo stuff isn't going to get dated in the story. With only a moon to tell time and no changes in the eternal night otherwise, knowing what day it was would be practically impossible. Therefore, it'll be easier (and simpler) to forgo the specific dates and deal with ranges instead.

I also did a bit of research pertaining to the events of Hueco Mundo in canon, and not a lot was specifically listed. I don't remember finding much information saying when each hollow was recruited. Granted, I just looked at a wiki to get most of the information I couldn't remember (and I am ignoring all the 'Can't Fear Your Own World' novel works along with anything I couldn't easily find). With this in mind, I am potentially condensing years' worth of events into the timespan immediately following and surrounding Ichigo's first encounter with Grand Fisher, but there'll be quite a few familiar faces that show up in this storyline.
