Chapter 4:
Nursery; part 1
Currently in a hospital in konoha, a scuffle is taking place within one of the rooms between none other than Kushina and her husband Minato over the sealing of the fox.
"Speaking of which Minato what in the hell gave you the ingenius idea to seal that fucking monster into our new born children instead of sealing it oh i dont know back into me?!" She stated in a heated tone to the point of screaming which everyone in the hospital would hear, but would ignore as to not get caught up in what was happening as of this moment in that certain room. In fact the nurse that was just about to walk into the room would turn around and state "Nope not today." Kushina would also have strands of her red hair splitting into nine different sections and floating in the air right behind her. Just like a certain fox. A side of which if someone had faced kushina in such a manner they were in deep shit and would most likely die because 1: She is strong 2: You don't mess with a motherly person 3: She has anger issues.
"If you wernt already in this condition of a broken mess, i would break you myself, starting with your arms because it was those fucking arms that put that mess of a fox into our god damn children!"
Kushina was rather furious because she knew how jinjuriki were treated all around the elemental nations. That being of discrimination and hate because usually before a sealing a tailed beast would usually rampage kill hundreds if not thousands for civilians and shinobi alike. This is a fate that she would not wish even apon some of her worst enemies to suffer due to the torture and isolation that comes with it. It often takes a strong will to withstand that type of torment. This is the exact treatment that she did not want her children to face. But now it was too late for what she wanted and didn't want because now the fox was resealed… But into who? Because at this moment she did not know who the new Jailer was because she was not there for the sealing process
But rather Kushina was inside of the town of Konoha helping to get rid of the excess of the fox's chakra that was lingering around the town. She would get rid of this chakra by resealing it into herself in order to possibly save herself due to the lack of the fox to which the excess chakra would act as a substitute for the lack of the beast. Another reason why was because it would save various people from the chakra poisoning because once again the excess chakura would have nowhere to go except into the civilians that were not in the safety shelters just yet thus saving many lives. To which this strategy of doing so did work!
Kushina didn't choose to go back to minato because she had believed Minato to be perfectly able to take down the fox along with juria which she knew was in the village. She had figured that if the worst came to worst Juria or Minato would inform her immediately to which she would come and help the both of them. However this would not be the case.
Kushina was able to reseal the chakra into her due to her having an existing seal on her stomach that was suitable for the nine tails itself meaning that it could handle both soul and chakra alike.
"Well it's not like you were there near the sealing area that I was using to reseal it back into you!" Minato said said in a strained voice due to all of the stress that was being put on him from the attack and knowing full well the amount of paperwork that would come from this would be endless
"Plus it wasn't even mean who sealed the fox away, it was sarutobi… He ended up taking my place during the eight trigram sealing process." Minato would state in a rather sad tone. Knowing now that his old friend was now long dead. Suffering within the stomach of the shinigami. He knew that the attack was over due to the most obvious of things. That being he was still alive and was not crushed or killed by the fox and he felt the presence of the god of death even though he was knocked out meaning the sealing must've happened and was a success. On the other hand he did not know though how the sealing was done or even if it was a true success…
Hmm… that means I don't know who has the beast and who doesn't have the beast sealed within them assuming the sealing went correctly, that is, is it possible that the beast straight up left?" Thought Minato.
"No that can't be, because Kushina mentioned the children had the beast within them… But who exactly has it sealed within them? Do perhaps all 3 of them have parts of the fox sealed within them? Is the seal secure? I should ask her these things since she appears to have more information about Kushina in order to draw more conclusions" Minato thought a sour face began to appear on his face.
Minato was not really sure of the situation since he was knocked out when the sealing was taking place so questioning himself seemed to be the correct option at the time. But based on how Kushina reacted he believed the idea of the Fox leaving to be rather false. He would continue to think on the matter
Minato would think of the fox during such an important moment because at the end of the day he is hokage. He has to worry more about the village in this instance. And telling the village of who the next container is or are. Takes priority over how the fox was supposed to be sealed by his standards and by others. Because protecting the village was more important to him.
Meanwhile back in the real world, Kushina knowing very well what the eight trigram sealing process was and what the costs where she would question her husband
"Why would you even consider sealing the beast in such a way?!"
"Are you trying to leave me here all by myself to raise the children?!"
"You and I both know there are multiple ways to seal something of that matter away, not just the eight trigram sealing process!"
For now, ignoring to talk about the third because to her, her husband mattered more than him even though they were somewhat good friends.
Kushina would state in a sad tone, tears creeping up in the corner of her eyes. Fearing for her potential husband's loss and knowing that in a way she had been betrayed because her husband was fully content with leaving her to her lonesome, leaving her with a burden that could break anyone if given enough time. Luckily however that did not happen. To which Kushina in this case would also be slightly reluctant that her husband didn't just die right now and was silently thanking the third in her mind. But she was still sad at the thought of her husband abandoning her leaving her with the kids. Plus the fact one of Kushina's close friends is now dead.
Minato, seeing how upset Kushina was, would attempt to calm her down. At first he would use words in soothing manners to which this wouldnt work. He came up with an idea of how to help calm down his wife by attempting to give her a hug in his healed state. Now hopping out of bed he would once again attempt to try to calm her down. But this would only make her more stressed seeing how her assumed to be hurt husband was standing up before he was healed. But Minato wasn't really all that badly hurt so he would stand, walk, and talk with no issues.
"Minato you should real sit back down your hurt an-"
Kushina however would be cut off from Minato bringing her into his arms and hugging her, "It was the only way I could think of in the heat of the moment to seal the fox away. I'm sorry i didnt think of anything else that could have been done." He stated. This made Kushina realize that he was just trying to do his job. To protect the village even in his own life. To which she had no reason to complain but still as his wife her priority was him not the village at this moment even though she was a former shinobi.
(Kushina) Somewhat blushing at the intimate moment Kushina would begin to calm down, deciding to hug her husband back and letting out a few tears in the loss of her close friend/lord third. They would stand like this for about thirty seconds before moving onto the next question. That is not to say the both of them are doing better already its just Kushina had something rather important to do with her husband that takes priority over morning for the dead at this current moment…
Finally after about three minutes the two of them standing there intermitaly hold each other for comfort from their loss. Minato would finally ask in a rather cheery voice that would sort of brighten the mood,
"so, where are our three bright new stars of light?!" This statement would bring a smile to Kushina's face because of the change in subject to their newborns of which kushina gave in so much time pain and effort to have.
"I'm not exactly sure, If you're feeling alright, you can come with me to see where they could be." Kushina states in a newer tone that highlights her growing happiness.
"Well as you can see," Minato proceeds to do a smaller version of the toad dance to annoy his wife, Because he knew she doesn't like the dance due to Juria always using it in pervy situations like when he would say
"All the women come after me because I am the sage of the toad who makes all the ladies wet, With his rather rambunctious tongue!" (Yes rambunctious… He cannot control himself around women so why not give him an uncontrollable tongue when he's around women. we see how he is in canon events '-' ) to which that something always annoyed Kushina. Maybe its because she's a girl to whom the thought of someone doing that right in front of her and saying those things is rather embarrassing and pervy.
"What have I told you about doing that dance sweetheart?" She would state in a rather sickly sweet tone with a twitch mark appearing on kushina's face
This would make a shiver go down Minato's spine and he would immediately stand to attention as he had previously been in and then look somewhat directly at his wife close to her eyes.
Grunting, Minato states
"..Let's get going!"
Minato would proceed to rush out of the room with kushina slowly turning and states
"Right…"
To which she would then follow behind him at a slower pace at first but due to how fast her husband was going she would pick up the pace a bit coming up right next to him to then discuss what she was going to do today after the hospital visit and apparently seeing her newborn children as well. To which she didn't plan unless Minato woke up which she didn't think would happen so soon thus she was sort of unprepared at this current moment. But nonetheless she would go through the motions to make herself and her husband happy.
The two of them, husband and wife now walking through the hallway of the hospital on the 2nd floor make their way down to the first floor to the check in section of the hospital in order to get information for where newborns are put within the hospital.
On the way down to the reception area they would see various people with many different injuries from last night's attack being rolled in and treated for.
After waiting a bit within the line of people due to the still influx of people from last night, Minato would proceed to ask
"Are we allowed to see the newborn babies within the hospital and if so where might they be located?"
"At this time, yes you are allowed to see the newborn children within the hospital, Most of all of the newborns are within the nursery which is on the first floor of the hospital right besides the soda machine down the hall to your right. You can't miss it sir there is a big plaque that says NURSERY Right on it. That is assuming that your child is not in critical condition to which if they are there is a good chance the child was placed into the NICU to which I can check in our system in order to ensure if they are there or not… Or you can go to the nursery yourself and see if your child is in there or not. But if it isn't please assume the child is in the NICU to which if you tell us your child's name I can give you a rough estimate on how long they will be in there for based on our database of information or the child's current condition. And yes if your child is in the nursery you may take them home just notify us that you are doing so." The receptionist said in an exhausted tone because she had been working there for the past 14 hours due to the attack last night so she had to stay all night long and then some so she couldn't really care how she was addressing the hokage right now… But to others around her some saw it as disrespect to not address him by his title but everyone seemingly kept their mouth shut due to having more important things to worry about even though in a normal situation this wouldn't have not happened.
"Alright, thanks for letting me know!" Minato would say in a tender tone with a bright smile stretching across his face. While being just a tad bit shocked that he wasnt addressed in a rather higher manner due to the manicuring of pleasantries and usually compliments that he woud receive from the people. And to receive a message such as this is something Minato didnt really exact. In a way he expected more, Oomph from it or atleast a "Lord hokage" Minato begins to look around the room a bit more thoroughly this time
"Ahh, it appears to me as if everyone seems to be down in some sort of way…" Minato looks at his hands
"Am i in the wrong to feel this form of way during this current moment when so many are suffering like this while i sit back and come to pick up my newborn children?"
Kushina looked over her shoulder to see minato looking at his hands. At this moment she would sympathize with him a tad and grab Minato's hand with a bright smile on her face.
"Come on silly! I know you're feeling rather antsy but at this moment we should be filled with joy at seeing our children once more and be proud that our children were not killed."
Minato agreeing with Kushinas statement would grab her back now and begin to walk with her stating "Lets go!"
Both Kushina and Minato rush down the hall to the nursery due to their excitement that they could no longer contain to see their newborn children once again and take pictures of them in the nursery. But Minato would begin to think otherwise once again but this time he would fully ignore the problem until after they picked up their children and took them home. Kushina could take pictures due to Kushina bringing a camera via seal on a scroll she just so happened to be carrying and didn't want to miss out on such an opportunity to put a momentum such as this into a scrapbook.
10 seconds pass of the two of them running down the halls as if they were playing a game of tag to finally reach the end of the hallway slowing down and read a sign that stated the doors of the Nursery room are the 2nd door on the left… They are now walking at a close snail's pace or at least Kushina was making Minato have to slow down to his annoyance.
"Are you ready Kushina?" Minato stated
"As ready as I'll ever be." Kushina said panting a little due to the amount of out of shape she was in at this current moment in time with also an excitement radiating off of her. This would have Brightened the mood of Minato.
Minato opens the door first and steps in to then hold the door for kushina ushering her in
"After you, my lady."
"Oh how kind of you" Kushina said with a giggle.
In the room appear to be rows upon rows of newborn children, all on what appeared to be wooden rectangular portal boxes, with each child having a different color blanket on them in order to indicate gender. That being blue for boys and Pink for girls. The children also appeared to be somewhat poorly contained within a clear box surrounding the children with them laying on a white miniature maturase, every single child having what appeared to be white PJ's on under the blankets with name stags on the sides of the box like cribs to identify the child Finally there appeared to be around 2 couples of which where standing near one specific crib with noticeable confusion and somewhat horror on there faces. Even from the distance Kushina and Minato were able to identify these traits, that's just how noticeable they were! They both also noted that the crib containing that specific child was isolated and the furthest from the rest. Was this perhaps the reason why some cribs were cramped together? But for now they would ignore it since they were currently in the front of the room and the group was concentrated near the back of the room.
"Well, let's get to looking, I Suppose." Kushin stated. While being in awe and blushing ness due to the amount of cuteness emanating from the children
"Agreed." Minato said right afterword.
Starting at the front of the room they would look for their children and slowly work their way back. They would stay within a form of a group walking together with minato being able to maintain his excitement rather well while kushina was rather jittery from happiness and the damn blush won't go away… Minato, slightly embarrassed by his wife's actions, would begin to look the other way from her and this is how they would find their first child sitting within a crib across from other cribs.
The first child they would come across would be Mikato, the exact same child who had almost died at birth from suffocation from the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. There were, believe it or not, marks still on the body of the child from the fateful moment. The marks were a rather dark shade of red taking on a brouse markish. There also appeared to be somewhat small deformities on her body as well. Such as a noticeably shorter arm than the other one (Left arm) and the partially droopiness of the face. Minato and Kushina were indeed rather concerned for her life but she was fine enough in order to be within the nursery so she must be ok they both assumed right? Well except for the marks around her neck that is!… They knew this was mikato due to the name tag on her crib and the fact she was also wearing a pink blanket kind of sort of gave it away
What they didn't know however is that Mikato looked the way she did due to some of her formed chakura networks being very damaged and some destroyed particularly around the face and parts of the left arm. The cause of which was none other than the fox when the three of them were in the womb. The consequences of this could be an extreme lack in chakura control in the damaged areas and much less chakura than the child was supposed to originally have even with only few areas of damage it affects the chakura network as a whole that being how much is produced, how much is stored, exct. There would also be physical issues such as muscle weakness and short sightedness.
Minato would then lift up the shirt of the babe unexpectedly in order to check the seal on his daughter's stomach in order to ensure that it was keeping whatever it had in it. Because minato does not know who has the soul and who has the chakura or even both he had to check to be sure if there was a seal or not to which he would do to all of his children regardless if he found 1 or 2 seals on the children he had to check them all in order to be sure.
"You perv!" Kushina slapper her husband
"And on our daughter too!"
"What the hell kushina? I'm only checking to see if there is a seal there or not!"
"You should've said something beforehand then dumbass!"
It must be said Minato NEEDS TO study the seals on a later date in order to determine just what exactly they contained. He could not do this now because in general this would take up way to much time that Minato didnt have and at the current moment he wanted to spend all of his time looking for his children and being with his wife and that his wife was currently being a BICH.
He needed to know who had seals and who did not in order to inform the public of who contained the fox now. But back to the current situation.
"Move out of my way im a lady shes a lady Ill check the seal you pervert" Kushina stated in a motherly fury which minao wanted no part in.
"Alright go ahead…"
Kushina would being to lift up the shirt
"Look the other way would you?"
Wanting to get this over with because now he was more annoyed at kushina Minato would say "FIne"
12 Seconds later
Yep, our baby daughter has the eight trigram seal alright. I Suppose shes the new container of the fox" Kushina would say in a rather sad tone now know that their only daughter was one of if not the one to contain the fox.
"Thats not entirely true."
"WHat do you mean?"
"Well because i wasnt there to see the actual sealing take place i dont know if he split the fox or not into 2 vessels or possibly three."
"How could you assume it's 2 and not just once?" Kushina would state surprise but also a form of dread would begin to appear due to knowing that now possibly 2 or even all three of her children were cursed with that of the Creature that was once sealed within her. And knowing the treatment that Jinjuriki get, it wouldn't be so good for her children. With the motherly instinct it didn't make it any better.
"Well it's well known that only a true uzumaki can contain the full fox, to which i'm pretty sure Naruto is. But if the fox is sealed within our daughter instead of him or at least we know of at the moment based off of the sealing aray on her body we can possibly assume that the fox was split due to the fact that a normal person cannot contain such a being inside of them not even those of the nyamakazi, or possibly even senju (This last statement was wrong) since if the full fox was sealed there would only be one seal, that seal being on…
"Naruto" They both stated.
[Author's note: Kushina and Minato don't know that Naruto isnt an uzumaki at all. The red hair is only part of a mutation type factor that correlates with….. His locked power…. They only assume that he is an uzumaki based off of his red hair. And because there mom is an uzumaki who happens to have red hair, they would assume Naruto to be a full uzumaki instead of half or not a drop of uzumaki]
Kushina now realizing that the possibility of the fox being split into multiple entities began to frighten her because she knew she could protect their bodies but not their minds and if the fox took over… They could die… but the plus side being that the fox was or atleast could be considerably weaker But nonetheless the thought of her children dying was terrifying.
This would frighten Kushina to the point of which she would begin to shake and almost hyperventilate due to the idea of one of her children dying. However before that could happen (the hyperventilation)
The child would wake up the child but rather than crying it looked on curiously at the 2 adults that it was viewing with bright cerulean blue eyes. The child would begin to move aground in order to grab at her mom. This would snap Kushina back into reality due to the child's movement and the eyes looking somewhat at her. Her gaze then focuses on the child instead of the wall. Kushina begins to cradle the babe a bit more.
"Are you alright?" Minato stated worriedly
"I'm fine…let's keep searching for them and checking their stomachs to see if there is a seal or not." The mood turned rather sour and bangs covered Kushina's eyes.
Minato would grab her by the shoulder and state "Everything will be alright." Minato would pick the child up who was now awake.
In order to lighten the mood a bit Minato would attempt to make the baby laugh or maybe even giggle. He would make rather silly faces at the baby.
Kushina on the other hand was silent due to her trying not to laugh at how ridiculous her husband can be and the idea that the fox was split. This would lighten the mood indeed and make kushina more calm than she was befor. Kushina would sign. Proceeding to walk to the babe herself, picking up the child from Minato in the process and holding Mikato gentilly to then move her back and allowing the babe to fall back asleep once again this time in her arms rather than a shitty makeshift looking bed. Kushina would proceed to look at the child in aw, the cute aw with tears coming to her eyes to not only see her child once again but to see how beautiful her daughter was as well. Now the thought of just how bad the situation can be was officially gone for now…
" Are you coming? " Minato questioned in a low and soft voice, already moving on.
Kush wouldn't say much but rather something under her breath which minato couldn't hear, that would be "why did you have to ruin such a great moment and be in such a rush. Can the paperwork at his office really be all that bad?." She would question in a low tone.
They would both proceed to look for their next two children.
The search continues at a snail's pace in order to check names on the rather small cribs the children lay on so that way they dont mix up their child for another. Now moving about to half way through the entire to the right Minato would find a crib that stated Menma and looked exactly like Minato. Minato would proceed to call for his wife in an authoritative tone, the crib looked as Mikatos did but instead he had a blue blanket on indicating him to be male.
Kushina arrives not 3 seconds later and They both proceed to look at the boy.
"He looks just like you Minato" Kushina said with a bit of a frown on her face due to none of their children so far looking like her with her physical traits which was sad but at least it wasn't devastating news like her children were in critical condition she supposed. Minato would notice the frow but would continue to say,
"He sure does!" Minato would say in a pleasing tone how both children they found so far looked almost identical to him with the same face and all except they had whiskers and naturally their daughter with the fucked up face and arm. Minato would once again proceed to lift up the shirt of the babe to see if there was a possible seal there
But befor her could he slowly turned around to kushina and stated "Hey turn around you might scare the poor babe that a woman is looking at him naked."
Kushina would blush and scoff to then quickly turn around and state "Hurry it up you perv!"
and to no one's surprise there was a seal. Putting the shirt back down again.
"Well, does he have a seal?" questioned
"There appears to be so…"
Kushina would sigh "Well I suppose it's better than having the beast's power split rather than being in just 1 person."
Minato would agree with this statement because he knew that this could possibly be a safer outcome for his children because the burden of the sealing was placed on one child but 2 as of right now.
Minato would proceed to lift the babe up by the arm area and say
"Now who's going to be a strong one, oh yes you are!" He would say with a delighted tone. The babe giggling a little and sort of crying due to the pulling and expression on minato's face.
"Hey, be careful! He was born not too long ago and his bones are weak, so put him down!" Kushina would say in a frustrated tone because what she was saying wasn't far from the truth. She however was also a bit annoyed at the fact that Minato had just insinuated that he was going to be strong but not to their daughter a little matter to which Kushina would like very much…
Was this because their daughter looked the way she did? Does he not think our daughter will be strong just because of her current state? I will show him! Ill train her to the best that i can just to prove you wrong Minato for insinuating that out daughter could be weak. She might not be a full uzumaki but ill treat her and train her like one!what Kuhsina thought with wrath. She only thought like this due to being a pretty big hot head currently, i mean she didn't get the title red hot habanero for no reason now.
Knowing well if she thought more about it Minato didn't think of his daughter at all like that. It just happened to be a coincidence that he did that and because of his actions this would change a few things. So much so it would become a competition to see who was the stronger of the two completely and utterly ignoring the other by mistake in their time of need, in need of love and affection. Something that wasn't supposed to happen, Something they would regret and fear… That's how this monster will be created… but, now I'm getting carried away back to the current point in time…
Minato proceeded to put the child down. Who now started to cry waking some of the other children. But before too much could happen Kushina would pick up Menma and begin to rock him back and forth allowing the newborn to fall silent and advencially fall back asleep.
For now Kushina would hold both children on both of her hands smiling at Minato, Alright lets look for naruto now!
GOing immediately to work they would search but to no answers of where their child could be. At first they where worried… that is until they both would made it towards the final crib all by its lonesome with a group of what seemed to be two parents gathered at it. The group of two who had horror stricken and yet confused faces looking down at a singular child. Minato would be the first to peer over the one mothers shoulder to see it was Naruto..
Rather confused about the situation of why these people where looking at his child in such a way.. Let alone HIS Child, He would not, NO he could not let this stand. There where scaring the boy i mean look at his face, its was all scrunched up and trying to cover its eyes in an odd way.
This irritated Minato to see these pesents looking at his son like this, don't they know who this child's father IS!
"Eh hem!"
Minato grunted rather loudly.
"Would you Mind telling me why you are looking at my child in such a cold demeanor? I mean after all he is a newborn let alone my newborn. So what give you the right to frighten him in such a way?"
Minato would ask in authority Because he was a rather protective father who didn't want his children to be seen in a bad light duhhhhhh.
"This, This thing is your child lord hokage?" The husband on the right would ask
"And what of it?"
Minato is slightly more irritated now after the fact that he called his child a thing. Granted he had horns but to call it a thing right in front of him. The father was an act simply to plain insult agents of him and his authority.
The heat in the room would begin to rise and the same goes for killer intent with small doses of it course. Kushina also feels the intent and grows a bit worried at what is happening because she cannot hear what is going on from the distance she was at.
Both parents that had previously been standing in front of the crib begin to shake and sweat.
"W-w-well l-lord hokage i-i-its just that-"
The husband on the right was cut off before he could say anything
Yes, that is is for this chapter… I know I know i couldve finished this entire arc im making it but im going over the limit of 5000 words per chapter. Consider this a cliffhanger i Suppose... A new chapter will be dropped soon i swear! hope you enjoyed reading it as much as i did writing it! thanks for reading broski
