Kagome sat watching the kids play. Lord Sesshomaru had been visiting every few weeks. since he brought Rin to learn the human ways. Shippo was leaving soon to go to school to fine tune his fox magic. Sango and Miroku and gotten married and had there second child on the way. First being a boy they ended up naming Kota. looking up to the sky in just a few short weeks snow would be coming. Far out Kagome could see Lord Sesshomaru training from the looks of it .
'Why does he always stay far from the village.' Kagome thought. Watching him slowly move. She could feel the yokai power even from this distance. Eyes going wide.
'That's why.' she watch a strong wave of yokai come straight toward the village, but it hit a yellow barrier.
'He must have put one up knowing the village might suffer.' Kagome thought. turning back to the children.
Sesshomaru looked toward the village and noticed the miko watching him from the village hill. smirking he destroyed his practise target with a huge blow. not sure why he did one that big. He watch the wave come toward the village and watch his shield absorb the power protecting the village from harm. She just smiles shook her head and went back to watching the kids.
'Miko is interesting why does she watch us so.' Sesshomaru beast said curiously.
'This one is not sure.' Sesshomaru thought in response.
'Maybe you should ask?' Sesshomaru's beast said.
'Indeed I shall.' Sesshomaru said.
Sesshomaru went back to training leaving the miko be.
"Rin Shippo its time for dinner." Kagome said
"Coming" they said in unison.
The kids came bounding over to Kagome's hut. which was probably one of the nicer ones thanks to Lord Sesshomaru. He rebuilt half the village after I said I would keep an eye on Rin for him while he is gone. Which she didn't mind after her and Inuyasha finally ended things. He didn't seem to effected by it Kagome it hit hard besides the kids Kagome didn't talk to many people. She no longer felt the need to. Once the kids had there food Kagome sat down with her food and ate with the kids a short time later Sesshomaru came through the door.
"Miko can we talk outside for a moment." Sesshomaru said
"Sure." Kagome said as she followed him outside to one of the trees.
"There is a ball coming up and I would like you to go with me as my guest." Sesshomaru asked
"Me why me thought i'm sure plenty of other demoness would love to go with you." Kagome said
"Because I trust you and they will not respect me like you will Kagome." Sesshomaru said.
"You trust me?" Kagome asked.
"Indeed i do you are an ally to the west." Sesshomaru said.
"Ok when is it ill be there." Kagome said
"Ill send a note before and ill provide your dress as well. Those clothes will not do." Sesshomaru said shaking his head.
"You don't have to do that i can get one." Kagome said
"No ill get it for accompanying me to this event." Sesshomaru said.
"Ok Sesshomaru-sama." Kagome said.
Sesshomaru Thanked her and he left Kagome to her own devices. Kagome watched him walk away. Returning to her hut both kids were fast asleep bowls on the floor kids asleep on her bed sighing she decided she was gonna sleep outside the door for the night or on the roof so she could watch the stars. Once everything was cleaned up Kagome grabbed her blanket and climb up to the roof flat that Sesshomaru had made so she could watch the stars. sighing she laid out her blanket and laid down on top. the night was warm but not to warm the wind had a slight chill getting close to season change. smiling she looked up at all the amazing stars in the sky watching commits and meteors go by. Sesshomaru was watching near by.
'She does love the stars as much as we do' Sesshomaru thought watching her laying and watching the stars.
'indeed she does seem a little different the last year she had become more distant and closed off she didn't really talk to anyone beside the kids that i have noticed.' Sesshomaru's beast said.
'Hn.' Sesshomaru said watching her.
Kagome was enjoying the stars when she sensed someone watching her she sat up and scanned the forest around her found the golden eyes watching from a tree. her eyes widen a bit looking right at him.
"Sesshomaru?" Kagome said quietly
Sesshomaru smirked hearing her say his name she was getting stronger. She could now pick him out from 2 miles away just with sight. in blink he was on her roof next to her.
"Miko you have gotten a lot stronger then i foresaw possible for a human." Sesshomaru said
"Well when all you do i train." Kagome said.
"Why do you enjoy watching me train?" Sesshomaru said.
"Cause it gives me a visual of how to move correctly. your the perfect one to watch with your smooth movements."Kagome said.
"hn so you watch to learn you know i could just train you." Sesshomaru said.
"That would be to much trouble with your duties to the west." Kagome said
"It would not be to much trouble. Could just take you on my rounds and teach you then." Sesshomaru said.
"After winter time how does that sound." Kagome asked.
"As soon as the snow is gone i will pick you up every night." Sesshomaru said.
He handed her a thick blanket he would normally use. She thanked him and said her good nights and resigned for the night. Sesshomaru returned to his tree where he sat and watched her for the night so no one would bother her. The following morning Kagome awoke and started a fire, to get food cooking for the kids. As she was cooking the kids came out of there room wiping there eyes.
"Good morning you too." Kagome said smiling.
"Morning momma." Shippo said hugging her.
"Morning miss Kagome ." Rin said.
"Rin are you ready to return to the west for the week?" Kagome asked as she was eating.
"Yes i am i miss everyone there." Rin said.
"Well we will miss. you wont we momma." Shippo said.
"Indeed we will." Kagome said.
Sango and Miroku came over to Kagome hut.
"Good morning everyone." Sango and Miroku said together.
"Good morning." everyone said.
"Sesshomaru is here when your ready Rin." Sango said
"Ok " Rin said getting up and gathering her things.
after Rin had said her good byes everyone looked at Kagome.
"What did Sesshomaru want yesterday. I saw him take you to the forest edge." Sango asked.
"He wants my to go with him to the ball his palace is holding as his guest." Kagome said
"Are you really gonna go?" Sango asked
"Yes i owe him that much at least for the help he has giving the village." Kagome replied.
"Oh." Sango said
"So Kagome when are you planning on finding a husband?" Sango asked
"I'm not looking for one i'm not ageing like a normal human so i don't think i will have one." Kagome said with a shrug
"Well you could try and be with a demon instead." Miroku said with a smirk.
"Miroku" Sango said
"Its fine Sango maybe i will in my own time. I'm just not ready yet for that." Kagome said.
