Yu was at a loss, she ran through the words she said to a Quirkless boy that had jumped in a rescue attempt on one of his classmates a year ago. 'Jeez, there's a limit to how rash you can be, kid!... There was absolutely no need for you to put yourself in danger like that...Listen, I know you wanted to save your friend, but you have to consider your own well-being... Especially when you're Quirkless. Put yourself in my shoes, in any other situation, I as a pro now have to worry about two lives and a villain who wants to snuff one of them if not both out. If All Might wasn't here, think of what could have happened.' A tinge of guilt was laced in her expression as she stared at the boy on the other end of a TV screen in a break room at the venue of the UA sports festival. The gig of security seemed like a sweet deal for her as she was getting paid, and she would get first dibs on a servant... Hero student that she would be 'mentoring' over the next two weeks. As a relatively new hero, she had low expectations from the council and was limited to one student. A decision that seemed to be made for her as her eyes never left a mop of dark green.

"Our break is over, Mount. We have to start heading over to our post." A masculine voice came from behind.

Getting up from the table she had procured for herself with her breakfast she stretched and looked at the person who was currently ruining her mood. "Come now, Kamui. We don't have to rush, do we? There is still time, the race is not over yet."

Just as she finished, an announcement of the first event came over the screen. "Right now, the first person back to the stadium is... Izuku Midoriya!" Yu's eyes widened as she looked back at the screen, a small sigh escaped as she saw the green-haired student doubled over panting, before recovering slightly and bowing to the crowd as they cheered the boy on. All of 1A had placed in the top fifty with the class dominating the top 10 with classes A and B nearly sweeping the top twenty.

Kamui Woods noticed the leaderboard had two names that popped out at him. 1st place Izuku Midoriya and 3rd place Katsuki Bakugou. He had recognized the pair as Katsuki moved to Izuku beginning a tirade of abuse. "Interesting, aren't those the boys from that slime incident?"

"Apparently..."

"Didn't the green-headed one say that he was Quirkless?"

"It is quite clear he is not..." Yu's annoyance is clear to anyone listening. "Come on Kamui, the five-minute walk you were so eager to take awaits." The intended sting in those words was felt much to Yu's satisfaction. Yu took one last look at the screen, she smiled at the points given to the first-place student. 'Ten mill, isn't that overkill, poor boy looks like a kicked puppy.' Which was her final thought as she left the room.

"Do you have time to talk?"

That question was running circles in Izuku Midoriya's mind, a little over a minute ago his potential opponent for the semi-final of the last round of the first year's festival led him to a secluded spot in the stadium. The teen paused and looked at Izuku with a serious expression. "I... I was overpowered, in that split second in the second round I forgot about the pledge I had made." Izuku visibly flinched when the boy in front of him began. "I am sure that neither of our teammates felt it when you used your Quirk without restraint. It felt the same as the time at the USJ when All Might was fighting that villain at his absolute limit." Izuku froze a cold sweat forming.

"What… What is that supposed to mean?" Izuku asks under a shaky breath.

A long pause that felt like ages for Izuku began. The boy brought his hand upwards staring a hole into his palm. "It means I felt something similar facing you as I did watching All Might fight." Another pause. "Midoriya, are you… a secret love child of All Might or something?"

Izuku blinked several times before tilting his head in confusion. "Uhhh… Excuse me?" The words slipped without thinking, then he thought back to their last confrontation.

"All Might has his eyes on you, doesn't he."

'Oh… that's what he thought for all this time.' Izuku began to think of a way to respond fighting the now laughter bubbling beneath the surface, out of all the possibilities to happen the idea of him being confused as the number 1's son did not occur to him. The line of thinking would explain the similarities in the Quirk use, and If Toshinori was serious about his mother it would make for a valid excuse if he ever tells her about One for All. Not able to hold it in any longer he broke down chuckling at the question, the person who asked now confused at the laughter. "No… No… I am sorry, though you are not far from the truth." Izuku paused to compose himself. "I know that stuff like that is possible and that some families still practice Quirk marriages, so I get that you could come to that conclusion."

"So does that mean…"

"Todoroki, if I was… do you think that I would admit it now, in a public place. You probably get it being who you are." Izuku tried to dance around the question, to mild success.

"So there's a connection between you two that you can not talk about that is in the general ballpark, isn't that right?" Shoto Todoroki questioned.

Normally he would freeze up in fear and try to mumble his way out, but dealing with the constant teasing and bombardment of personal inquiries from their classmates Jiro and Ashido had muted his flighty nature. Ready to stand his ground he replied. "Like I said, you are not far from the truth. What does it matter to you?" One for All flickered to life as the green bolts from the activation of his Quirk discharged for a split second while the fingers in Izuku's right hand twitched.

Not letting the display unnerve him, Shoto provided his answer. "If you have something from the number one hero then… I have every reason to beat you in the semi-final. I refuse to be saddled with the number two position that my father is stuck in." Shoto spoke with every bit of seriousness that if looks can kill was plastered on Izuku's face.

After a brief moment, Izuku and Shoto went their separate ways after a tense moment and acceptance of a silent challenge. However little did the two know that the pro Mount Lady followed the two of them and remained hidden until now. She walked out from her hiding spot looking in the direction that Izuku left with a single thought on her mind. 'Not far from the truth?… What does that mean…' With a low voice, she asked herself. "Is he really the son of All Might?" As the question remained unanswered she thought back to the day of the slime incident, the worry on All Might's face when he snubbed reporters after the boy was cleared to leave, taking off after Izuku. That made sense, why the boy and All Might jumped in despite the danger, and why he used his Quirk similarly to All Might, though the green lightning was new. Engrossed in her thoughts she did not notice the person behind her until they grabbed her shoulder to get her attention.

"There you are Mount, you wondered off, what's up?"

Before she could answer an announcement came on to the PA system. "It's almost time for our first quarter-final match as the undefeated Izuku Midoriya takes on our legacy speedster Tenya Iida. So get to your seats and prepare yourselves for a 1A bout to remember."

Looking at the person who brought her back to reality she came face to face with a wooden mask, giving her best puppy dog eyes she made a request. "Can you cover for me for the rest of the day?" Pausing for the dramatic effect she wanted, she offered an excuse. "I am not feeling well."

Izuku was sitting in the school's infirmary as Recovery Girl outfitted his repaired right arm with a sling. The frown never left her face but only once since he had regained consciousness, and that was to reassure Momo that the boy's injuries would not hinder him at least not enough to be worried, but that was then and this is now. For the first time since his surgery they were alone and the lecture she had planned for after he nearly destroyed his body with this Quirk of his, but looking at the footage she realized there was a semblance of control and the boy was in no real danger that was out of his lack of control. That was what frustrated the elderly woman most. "Next time you want to play hero and move past your limits, you better have a good excuse for it and a shovel ready." She pauses grabbing the arm in the sling by the wrist causing Izuku to flinch in pain. "Because today would have been the last day I would have healed you... Do I make myself clear?" she tightens her grip.

"Crystal."

"Good..." She grabbed candy from her lab coat placing them in the boy's free hand. "These should keep you awake long enough to return to the festival for the award ceremony if you want to go back. Although you should be getting your rest and going home, I assume that is not an option, is it?" Izuku's body language told her everything she need to confirm. "Honestly, it's like this Quirk attracts hard-headed idiots. I will be back with Toshinori, he is going to drive you back." She finishes walking out of the room. "Get your things together in the meantime, you shouldn't get in much trouble in the next couple of days until I see you again. I even told your little girlfriend to make sure you get your rest." She said disappearing and turning the corner after exiting, leaving Izuku a stuttering mess.

It took some time for Izuku to recover, but he did, making sure everything was in order he placed his school bag at his side waiting for his mentor and the school nurse to return. A couple of minutes later there was a knock at the door, confused he answered. "Come in." The words came off as pensive and guarded.

A blonde woman in a black suit with a black mini skirt and glasses carrying two shopping bags in each hand entered the room, stopping in front of him mock posing to appeal to him in the process. "I heard that you haven't had anything too, so I thought we could eat lunch together. If that's ok with you?" she spoke leaning in giving him quite the view of her cleavage emphasized by the top three buttons of her shirt undone.

"Uhhh... Who are you?" Izuku questioned all the while fighting and failing to hide his embarrassment as his cheeks began to darken from the stimulation.
