Another chance has given to him to change the course of the game.
Extra Inning: an act to break the tie after the whole innings ended
It should have ended, but another chance has given to him in order to change the flow of the game. It should have ended, but another chance has given to him to prove everyone that they are wrong to assume things one-sidedly. It should have ended, but as if the fate has telling him that everything he did is not for naught, someone with blonde hair and blue eyes appears in front of him.
"I should have seen how your bottomless potentials are being disregarded by your whole team just to favor your monster rookie. I should have known how your illimitable skills and talents are being disregarded because just because it is an unknown concept for your team. And, to be honest, you have more than what it takes to stand on that mound instead of your monster rookie."
It should have ended, but as if fate is telling him that this is not the end of his journey, another chance has given to him. As if fate is telling him that this is not the end of his limit and he can still go beyond, another chance has given him. It takes more than a single leap to prove to everyone that they are wrong. It takes a lot of courage to take a leap and tip the flow of the game.
"But I've already took a risk back then. I can do it for the second time. If that's what it takes to prove them wrong, then I'm willing to do it."
Another chance has given to him by fate and he won't hesitate to grab it. He is fed up. He is tired. He don't know what to do anymore. He just want to run. He just want to cry. He just want someone, just a single person, to tell him that this is not the end. To tell him that he can still go beyond. To tell him that he can surpass the one who has been overshadowing him. To tell him that he can get out of this slump. And fate decides to take pity on his poor soul.
The last person he expected to stand up and come forward for him is the one who reach out his hand and get him on his feet. The last person he expected to stand up and come for him is the one who told him everything he needed to hear from his supposed to be family. That someone who never tried to be considerate and look at other people's perspective is the one who push him beyond his limit, the one who told him that he is more than what he seen on a surface level and the one who told him that it has been long since he surpassed the indomitable wall looming in front of him.
"Stand up, chin up and look straight in front of you. You surpassed him already a long time ago. They just blinded by the thought that your monster rookie is all they needed and refuse to look at your direction. They neglected you and it wouldn't be a surprise if you choose to do the same thing. From now on, we're always there for you. We're always standing behind you if you needed someone to remind you that they are people supporting you from behind. From now on, you don't need to beg for attention again."
He had given a chance to change the course of everything. An extra inning has granted to him to change the course of the game. And he won't let it pass.
