HEAT

Regular P.O.V.

After the war with the Titans, the responsibilities at Camp Half-Blood grew heavier with each passing day. Annabeth, unable to bear the strain of their relationship amidst the chaos, made the heart-wrenching decision to end things with Percy. His heart shattered, and he withdrew into silent anguish, shutting out even his closest friends, Nico and Grover.

Witnessing Percy's torment, the minor gods and goddesses attempted to distract him with quests, but their efforts proved futile. It was clear that Percy needed a more drastic measure. Aphrodite, moved by compassion for the young hero, devised a plan to reignite his passion and draw him out of despair.

In her palace on Olympus, Aphrodite contemplated her plan. She envisioned inducing a state of heightened desire in Percy, hoping it would lead him to new love or draw the attention of someone who could heal his wounded heart. Consulting with one of the Erotes, she specified that only Apollo, Dionysus, and Hades should be affected by her spell, knowing they held a particular regard for Percy.

"Why those three, my Lady?" the Erotes inquired, sensing the gravity of Aphrodite's intentions.

"You'll see in time that this is for the best," Aphrodite assured them, her confidence unwavering as she entrusted them with the task. With the spell cast and pink smoke enveloping the room, Aphrodite left to await the results.

However, her plans were soon interrupted by the imposing figure of Zeus. "Don't think I don't know of your discretion, Woman," he grumbled, emerging before her.

Undeterred, Aphrodite defended her actions, adamant that Percy deserved happiness as much as anyone else. "I'm doing this for the good of Percy & Olympus. The young hero deserves love, too," she reasoned, yanking her wrist free and walking past the King of Olympus.

"If there is any trouble-" Zeus started but was interrupted. "There won't be; this is needed," Aphrodite said dismissively in passing.

"I'll leave it to you. But, You know Poseidon won't be happy about this," he called after her, watching her descend the steps of the Hall of the Erotes.

"It will work out, trust me," Aphrodite assured Zeus before continuing, her resolve unwavering as she set out to change Percy's fortunes.

Percy P.O.V.

As I stirred from slumber within the confines of Camp Half-Blood, a peculiar sensation gripped my gut, a heat that seemed to sear through my very being. Groaning softly, I hesitated, reluctant to confront the day with this unsettling warmth coursing me. It felt unnatural, out of place amidst the tranquil surroundings of my cabin. Yet, I couldn't shake the unease that settled over me like a heavy shroud.

Pushing aside the covers, I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, the heat intensifying with each passing moment. Thoughts of breakfast and a refreshing shower flitted through my mind, but the pulsating warmth demanded my attention, rendering everything secondary. Casting a glance around the familiar space, memories of shared moments with Tyson flooded my mind, a pang of nostalgia tugging at my heartstrings.

With a resigned sigh, I rose from the bed and went to the nearby spring tub, its serene waters beckoning like a siren's call. As I immersed myself in the soothing embrace of the water, the oppressive heat began to ebb, replaced by a strange sense of restlessness. It was like an invisible force tugged at my core, urging me to seek solace in unfamiliar desires.

Lost in the swirling depths of my thoughts, I succumbed to a primal urge, my hands moving of their own accord as desire coiled within me like a slumbering beast. With each caress, each fevered touch, the tension mounted until I could no longer resist the inevitable release that washed over me like a cleansing tide.

Emerging from the water, I dressed in the familiar attire that adorned my form, each garment a testament to the bonds forged and the trials endured. Yet, beneath the facade of normalcy, a storm raged within, fueled by the enigmatic vision that haunted my dreams.

In the realm of slumber, I stood before a mirror that reflected a distorted image of myself, a tantalizing glimpse of a reality yet to unfold. Three divine figures materialized before me, their presence electrifying the air with an intoxicating allure that left me spellbound.

"Why are you guys here?" I queried, confusion lacing my words as I sought understanding amidst the enigmatic tableau.

With his golden locks and mischievous smile, Apollo exuded an aura of playful desire, his gaze promising untold pleasures. "One will cherish and excite thee," he intoned, his voice echoing with an eerie resonance that belied his divine nature.

Dionysus, his sculpted form a testament to divine decadence, radiated an aura of raw sensuality that stirred something primal within me. "One will crave and adore thee," he declared, his tone tinged with amusement as he regarded me with a knowing smirk.

And Hades, cloaked in shadow yet emanating power and allure, cast a seductive spell that ensnared my soul. "One will lust and care for them," he murmured, his words carrying the weight of prophecy as they reverberated through the chamber.

In the wake of their revelation, a question lingered upon my lips, a plea for understanding amidst the chaos enveloped me. Yet, before I could voice my inquiry, the mirror shattered, plunging me into darkness again.

As consciousness reclaimed me, I was entangled in a web of confusion and desire, the boundaries between dream and reality blurred beyond recognition. Then, Dionysus, bearing witness to my plight, graced my cabin with his presence, a mixture of concern and curiosity etched upon his features.

"Percy, why aren't you in training today?" he inquired, his tone gruff, yet his eyes tinged with an undercurrent of grief and confusion.

I shifted onto my stomach, meeting Dionysus's gaze. "I'm not feeling well," I admitted, pushing the sheets aside to reveal the sheen of sweat coating my skin. His expression softened, a flicker of concern dancing in his eyes. "Then why not go to the Apollo cabin or call for help?" he suggested, running a hand through his hair before halting abruptly, a puzzled furrow creasing his brow.

"Because I'm weak in the knees and have a fever!" I blurted out, cheeks ablaze with embarrassment. The admission felt foreign on my tongue, starkly contrasting the image of strength and resilience I usually projected. Yet, in that moment of vulnerability, I couldn't deny the truth of my condition. To my surprise, Dionysus didn't chastise me as I expected. Instead, he offered a reassuring nod. "I'll go get Chiron; stay here," he instructed before darting out of my cabin with a sense of urgency.

"As if I can go anywhere," I muttered, the heat escalating to a feverish pitch. Writhing beneath the covers, I longed for relief, for the flames that licked at my insides to be extinguished.

Just as despair threatened to consume me, the door swung open to reveal Chiron, his expression grave, and Dionysus, his usual air of nonchalance replaced by a sense of urgency. Chiron approached my bedside, concern etched into his features, but as his hand grazed my skin, he recoiled as if burned.

"I think it's Heat," he declared, turning to Dionysus for confirmation. Dionysus's brow furrowed in contemplation. "How could he have gone into heat if it wasn't possible for Demigods?" he mused aloud, his voice strained with concern.

Chiron's gaze sharpened, a glint of determination shining in his eyes. "Yes, that means someone must have caused this," he concluded, glancing in my direction.

"Who and why?" Dionysus demanded, his tone tinged with an edge of anger. The thought of someone manipulating my condition filled him with a fierce protectiveness.

Chiron pondered the question for a moment before offering a grim assessment. "Maybe someone is in camp to incite chaos, perhaps even orchestrating a plot on a prophecy. But one thing is certain: it couldn't have been done without the help of a God, not with a spell of this magnitude," he reasoned, his voice heavy with implication. Dionysus's jaw clenched in frustration, his resolve hardening. "Then let's go to Olympus and find out who," he declared, determination blazing in his eyes. With a swift motion, he scooped me up in his arms, eliciting a surprised yelp from me.

"Close your eyes," Dionysus commanded, his voice tinged with urgency. As Chiron and I complied, he transported us to Olympus with a sense of purpose, ready to confront whoever dared to tamper with the fate of a demigod of the three.
