Author's Note: This is from Kurapika's point of view.

You first professed to finish off the crime
Of spiders that ensnared my clan away;
We drew our weapons, but I sensed in time
The tender heart your grief had kept at bay.
With strength combined, we opened heavy doors,
Departed with September 1st our pledge,
But soon my compass arrow spun off-course —
I wavered till you saved me from the edge.
With distant dreams, I boarded my next flight
That you saw off with melancholic eyes;
But even with your books beyond my sight,
You lit my phone with calls without replies.

You must not try to free me from my chain
For my heart's doomed to halt in time's domain.
