The Jedi Council room was empty save for the form of Anakin Skywalker. He was deep in thought Jedi Master Mace Windu had ordered him to go to the council chamber to wait While he and Council members who accompanied him to confront Chancellor Shiv Palpatine, After Anakin Had figured out that the Supreme Chancellor was the Sith Lord Darth Sidious that the order had been looking. For since the start of the Clone Wars.
He was considering disobeying master Windu orders. He did not want to sit back while Master Windu and the others confronted the Dark Lord. He had a bad feeling about this. But at the same time, he realized that he really needed to talk to someone, That person being his former Padawan Ahsoka Tano who had accompanied Captain Rex and half of the 501st Legion to aid Duchess Satine kryze and her younger sister Bo katan kryze In liberating Mandalore from the clutches of Darth Maul and Deathwatch.
He would have gone himself. But He and Obi-Wan were recalled to Coruscant to rescue the chancellor from Count Dooku and General Grievous. They were successful in rescuing the chancellor, Over the course of a few days Anakin had been promoted to the Jedi Council at the request of the spring chancellor but not given the title of Master due to Ahsoka having left the order. It wasn't long before Obi Wan was dispatched to utapau to engage general grievous and hopefully bring an end to the war.
But he also had a secret which only his wife Padme and the droids R2D2 and C3PO knew about. That secret being that she was carrying his child. through the force anakin believed the child was a girl well padme thought it was a boy.
Anakin Looked out the window In the direction of Senate apartment complex where his wife was. He was so engrossed in his thoughts about how she was probably looking out the window of the penthouse apartment directly at the Jedi Temple, It was at that moment he decided he needed to make a choice and it was a difficult one.
The options laid out before him in his mind he could either rush over to the Chancellor's office and try to help Mace windu, Kit fisto, Saesee Tiin, and Agen Kolar, or head to the Jedi Temple communication center to contact Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex and tell them about what he has just learned.
Anakin Stood from his chair having made his decision he would go to the Communications Center and call the Republic venator class star destroyer the tribunal where Rex and Ahsoka, Plus the other half of the 501st Legion were currently aboard.
It took Anakin no time to reach the Communication center. Once there, He told the comm operator he wanted to speak to the tribunal. It wasn't long before he saw the hologram image of his former Padawan Ahsoka standing a couple meters away.
"Hello master" she said.
"Ahsoka, I wish you wouldn't call me that," he said. "I'm not your master anymore."
"But you'll always be my master."
Anakin sighed and looked up into the ceiling.
"What is it you wanted to talk about Master?" she asked.
Anakin lowered his head to look at her.
"Ahsoka, we don't have a lot of time, But there is something I need to tell you," He said.
"Ok, What is it?" She asked.
Anakin Began explaining how he had been promoted to the jedi council At the request of the chancellor but not given the title of master, He then proceeded to add that the council then asked him to spy on the chancellor because he had been consolidating a lot of power over the last year, Culminating With him figuring out the horrible truth chancellor Palpatine was Darth Sidious the Sith Lord they had been looking for.
"No way," she said, " This is what Darth Maul meant."
"what do you mean snips" He asked using her old nickname.
"Skyguy, when I confronted Darth Maul, he said that there was a power behind the war, was manipulating the chosen one into his next apprentice" she said. " I didn't believe Maul at the time, but Your revelation has proven that he was telling the truth."
" That means he's been toying with me this whole time he's always acted like a father figure to me," He said, " I never felt the darkside in him"
" That is how the sith operate," She said.
"I know, Snips," he said.
Meanwhile over in the chancellor's office, Palpatine having sensed Anakin hasn't left the Jedi Temple He realizes he must take a far more cunning approach as Master Mace Windu, Kit fisto, Agen kolar, and Saesee Tiin Entered his office igniting their lightsabers as master windu stated "In the name of the Galactic Senate of the Republic, you're under arrest, Chancellor"
Palpatine was unfazed as he said "are you threatening me, Master Jedi"
"The senate will decide your fate," Said Mace windu.
Palpatine Considered revealing his red lightsaber and going on the attack but no that would be unwise Since Anakin didn't seem like he was going to show up anytime soon.
He would have to change his strategy, so he would willingly go along with the arrest.
"I don't think the senate will," Palpatine said.
"Turn yourself over to the custody of the Jedi order," Mace Windu said. "and you can explain all this to the Senate,"
Palpatine Smiled evilly "very well, I will come quietly"
The Jedi Masters proceeded to escort Palpatine to the coruscant guard gunship to take the chancellor to a secure location until he could be put on trial, A detachment of the Coruscant guard Surround Palpatine as he was climbing aboard the gunship The former chancellor wastes no time in issuing an order to the guards
"Execute order 66" he said.
Upon hearing the order, The clone troopers respond robotically with a "Yes my Lord" activated their blasters and began firing on the four Jedi Masters. Master Windu was the first to react igniting his purple lightsaber and deflecting the bolts, Kit Fisto followed suit green blade swinging left and right. Agen kolar, and Saesee Tiin Weren't so lucky they ended going down to blaster fire.
Mace Windu and Kit Fisto continued deflecting the shots from the blasters as Palpatine Smiled as he watched the two Jedi Masters trying desperately to deflect the shots but to no avail, He ordered the pilot to take him to the Senate Building.
Meanwhile, over at the Jedi Temple communication center Anakin Was finishing his discussion with Ahsoka when an emergency call came through on his personal comm, he answered and a hologram of master Kit fisto appeared He appeared to be running well deflecting blasterfire .
"Master Kit festo what's wrong?" he asked
"Anakin We need you to send out an emergency message to as many jedi who are currently deployed as you can reach" He said
"Why?"
"Palpatine issued some kind of order to the Corsant guard, They opened fired on us killing masters Agen kolar, and Saesee Tiin" He said.
"By the force" Anakin said. As he suddenly remembers the inhibitor chip that Have been discovered by the clone trooper known as fives that he claimed had some sort of contingency order on it.
"What happened to palpatine and mace" he asked.
"The chancellor got away, As for Mace he and I split up, He's keeping the guards, to give me enough time to secure a Open air Speeder to get back to the temple."
"Ok, I'll get right on it" Anakin said.
"All I ask is that you contact, Aayla secura I'm not sure how what I would do if I were to lose her." Kit Fisto pleaded, Causing Anakin to realize that he wasn't the only one breaking the rules when it came to no attachments.
"Don't worry Kit, I'll send her a message"
"Thank you, Anakin" Kit Fisto said and then he disconnected the transmission.
Anakin then as proceeded to call as many jedi as he could starting with Aayla secura who was the remote of world Felucia.
"Hello Anakin, How are you and the family doing?" she asked.
"Aayla, we have a problem."
"What is it?"
"There's no easy way to say this, but The chancellor is the Sith Lord that has been pulling the strings of this war"
"Are you sure?" she asked
"Yes," Anakin replied, "Master Mace Windu, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto, And Saesee Tiin attempted to arrest him, But as soon as he got within range of the corsant guard he gave them some kind of order they opened fired on them killing Agen and Saesee, But the rest managed to escape"
"What kind of order?" Aayla asked
"We're not sure, but I think it has something to do with the inhibitor chip." Anakin said.
"Oh no"
"Aayla, Kit Festo said he was going to try and make it back here, So I would suggest that you find somewhere safe, I'll keep you posted,"
"Ok Anakin, I'll just tell Commander Bly that I've been recalled and that he's in charge." Aayla secura said, Before disconnecting the transmission.
Meanwhile, Back at the Chancellors office below the Galactic Senate chamber, Chancellor Palpatine began contacting the clone legions starting with Commander Cody of the 212th attack battalion.
"Commander Cody, the time has come execute order 66" He said.
"Yes my lord"
The chancellor then sent a similar message to all other Clone commanders throughout the galaxy.
Meanwhile, Back in the communications center, Anakin had contacted Aayla Secura, Plo Koon, Quinlan Voss, and a few others and warned them, But then a padawan Zett Jukassa came running in to the Communication center a look of panic on his face.
"Master Skywalker, the 501st they're marching on the temple and someone has opened the gates" Zett Jukassa said.
Anakin had a sudden feeling of dread in his heart, "Zett, we're going to have to evacuate the temple, I need you to get To Master Shaak ti tell her we need to evacuate the younglings to the T-6 shuttles Hanger." Anakin ordered the young padawan.
"Right" He said and then he ran out of the communication center.
It dawned on Anakin That the 501st should not have been at full strength since he had divided the Legion in half and sent a portion with Captain Rex Meaning Palpatine probably reinforced the ranks would reinforcements that were probably supposed to be sent elsewhere.
Anakin knew he couldn't take on all of the 501st by himself. The only thing he could do to slow the attack down would be to head to central security station And hopefully reactivate The main gates and shut them,
So Anakin wasted no time heading towards the hanger, He could see the group of Jedi Younglings Petro, a male human; Katooni, a female Tholothian; Byph, a male Ithorian; Ganodi, a female Rodian; Zatt, a male Nautolan; and Gungi, a male Wookiee who had accompanied at Ahsoka and Yoda to illum Roughly a year ago climbing aboard the transports. He hoped Ahsoka was safe.
Anakin then ran over to a Jedi knight, who was preparing the t-6 shuttle for departure, with Shaak ti who Informed Anakin "Skywalker most of the younglings and the young padawans our accounted for, We'll be heading to Polis Massa."
"Good, now get them to safety."
Anakin watched as the T-6 shuttles lifted off and headed Polis Massa an obscure Asteroid belt deep in the Outer Rim.
Meanwhile, On Kashyyyk Yoda felt the disturbance through the force Dropping his cane is he good feel many Jedi death's across the Galaxy, As soon as Commander Gree and Captain Jek received the order Right as they were about to attack yoda wasted no time in decapitating them. He then proceeded to escape with the help of the Wookiees Chewbacca and Tarfful.
Anakin had arrived at central security and was attempting to close the main gates But it looked like someone had changed the security codes which where preventing the gates from shutting.
He then realized the only thing he could do was head towards the hanger and see if he could Make it to one of the air speeder platforms, and hopefully avoid detection from the 501st.
That's when an alarm sounded and smoke filling the air. Someone had set the temple ablaze He needed to get the Air Speeder platform fast. it was at this point he was forced to start fighting through his former troopers
Anakin was making his way down the hallways, He came to a fork in the corridor, When the doors opened and a detachment of the 501st emerged,
Blasters raised ready to fire,
Anakin quickly turned his attention to the clone troopers and used the force to rip the guns from their hands and fling them down the hall, Then he activated his lightsaber and sliced them apart
One of the clone troopers grabbed Anakin by the wrist and attempted to throw him down the hallway, But he wasn't having any of that and instead proceeded to grab the trooper by the wrist and fling him into the wall, Where the clone smashed against the wall and collapsed on the floor unconscious. All he could do was keep moving As he reached the airspeeder pad He could see someone had just landed and the 501st were blocking the individual from entering the temple, the individual in question was none other than senator Bail Organa, Who had come to the temple to find out why it was on fire.
As Anakin approached the group of troopers, the 501st Commander Appo spotted him and turned his blaster Opening fire on him. Anakin wasted no time in deflecting the blasts with his lightsaber.
Bail Organa was taken by surprise seeing a Jedi being fired upon by his own troops, He watched as Anakin swiftly disarmed them and knocked him out.
"Senator, what are you doing here?"
"I came to see why the temple was on fire" Bail Organa said.
"Senator, we need to get out of here" Anakin said, As they turned Around and headed back to the Senators Air Speeder with Anakin climbing into the passenger seat.
"I'm aware" Bail Organa said. "I just don't understand why my men opened fire on you"
"I'll explain on the way to your ship, Master Fisto and I need to get off planet, So that we can rendezvous with the jedi I was able to warn."
"Of course, but I still don't understand why is your legion attacking the temple."
"Its a long story, Senator" Anakin said.
They flew across the skyline of Coruscant in silence. As soon as they were a good distance away from the temple Anakin spoke.
"Senator, I have something to tell you" Anakin said.
"And What is that, Master Skywalker" Bail Organa asked.
"The Chancellor is the Sith Lord order had been looking for, And he has some sort of contingency order that activates the inhibitor chips inside the clones" Anakin said.
"By the force" was all the Senator said, Anakin proceeded to activate his comm and contacted Kit Fisto,
"Anakin, where are you?" he asked
"Senator Organa's airspeeder," he said, "What about you."
"I'm doing my best to avoid detection at the moment" Kit Fisto said.
"Well, We're on our way to the senator's ship the Tantive III," Anakin said. "How far are you from the senate Building?"
"Not very," Kit Fisto replied.
"Meet us there"
"Ok"
With that, Anakin turned off his comm, Just in time, As they arrived at the senate building.
"We're here" the senator said.
"Thank you"
The two of them exited the Airspeeder, and made their way towards the docking bay where the Tantive III was located, Upon arriving, Bail Organa entered the ship first followed by Anakin.
"Captain Antilles," the senator called out,
"Yes sir," the captain replied.
"Set a course for the Polis Massa system" Bail Organa said, "It would seem that Master Skywalker and Master Fisto need Rendezvous with the Jedi that had fled there and hopefully he can find other survivors on the way.
"yes sir"
The ship then took off leaving Coruscant and the burning temple behind, Anakin then proceeded to find a place where he could contact padme the stress of seeing the temple ablaze probably wasn't helping her.
Upon locating a comm terminal, He proceeded to make the call.
"Hello," Padme answered.
"Hey padme, It's me"
"Oh ani, I could see the temple a blaze what's going on"
"It's a long story"
"You need to tell me, so I can let the people know what's going on."
"Alright, Chancellor palpatine was the Sith Lord we were looking for, And he was able to give the clone troopers some kind of contingency order that activated their inhibitor chips, Which is causing them to open fire on the jedi."
"That's horrible," Padme said, " what about a Ahsoka and the jedi that are in the field?"
"I warned those who I could," Anakin said. "Bail was able to reach Master Yoda as well as Obi-wan We're going to pick them up and then continue onto the rendezvous with the other survivors in the Polis Massa system."
"Alright ani" Padme said. "please stay safe"
"I will" Anakin said, And with that the transmission ended.
Meanwhile, at the Polis Massa System, Anakin and Kit Fisto had arrived along with Bail Organa and the Tantive III, The Jedi had found Obi-wan and Yoda along with some other survivors including Plo Koon, Aayla Secura, Quinlan Voss and surprisingly Asajj Ventress was with him.
Obi-wan had told them how his mission on Utapau had Been successful he had killed general grievous when he returned to secure though separatist leadership however that's when he was suddenly attacked by the 212 attack battalion.
"What are we going to do now," Obi-wan asked.
"We may need to go back to the temple" Anakin said.
"Why, Shouldn't we be more concerned about stopping Palpatine" Obi-wan argued.
"Anakin's right I was checking the comm frequencies and noticed a recall order to is being sent out from the temple saying that the war is over and it's time to come home" kit festo said.
"That sounds like a trap" Obi-wan Points out
"Then we're going to have to spring it, Just like old times" anakin jokes.
"Master, I don't think you should be joking at a time like this" Aayla secura Said.
"Aayla's right anakin, This is serious" Obi-wan Said.
"Obi-wan, I am being serious we need to get back into the temple and change that frequency" Anakin said, "If there are any other surviving jedi I wasn't able to reach is receiving that message they could end up returning to the temple And be slaughtered by the clones."
"Fine" Obi-wan sighed.
"Stay with the younglings I will," Yoda said.
"You're not coming with us" Anakin asked.
"No, Stay here I must. with Master's Minas Veltin and Plo Koon"
"Very well, Master" Anakin said.
With that the remaining jedi prepared to board Tantive III, Kit fisto grabbed Aayla secura and pulled her into a passionate kiss Revealing to the entire group that they were in a relationship.
"Well that explains why you had me call her first." anakin teased, "Yes, Yes it does So when were you going to tell everyone you were married to Senator Amadala" Kit fisto Shot back.
"Fair point" Anakin Admitted
"Well, Let's head back" Bail Organa Said, The remaining jedi, Asajj Ventress and Senator Organa, Boarded the Tantive III, The Senator's crew set a course for Coruscant.
While onboard the Tantive III, Anakin sat down next to Obi-wan, who seemed lost in thought.
"Is something wrong Obi-wan" Anakin asked.
"It's I must admit I'm worried about Satine" Obi-wan replied.
"The Duchess right?" Anakin asked.
"Yeah, She's still on Mandalore" Obi-wan sighed. "I'm not sure if it would be wise to tell her I'm alive or not."
"I see" Anakin said.
"Anakin, There's something I've been wanting to tell you." Obi-wan began, " I should've said something sooner, But There was a reason I agreed to having you be Padme bodyguard during the separatist crisis."
"And what is that" Anakin asked.
"I thought she would make you happy, which is why I didn't have much of a problem with you for me in attachment with her" Obi-wan explained.
"Oh, thank you" Anakin said.
"There's a but, isn't there?" Obi-wan asked.
"I've been having nightmares about Padme dying in childbirth, You were there in the visions as well" Anakin replied.
"I see" Obi-wan said.
"I've even tried asking master Yoda if there was a way to save a friend from dying" Anakin admitted.
"Anakin, there is one force technique but it comes at a heavy price." Obi-wan began. " It's simply called force healing it allows the Jedi to pass a portion of their life force into another being but it comes at a heavy price when it comes to saving someone from death a single Jedi will die saving one person it's the reason why we had multiple practitioners of the ability in the Hall of healing."
"I see," Anakin said. "I have a bad feeling we're going to need this."
"Me too, Anakin," Obi-wan replied. "me too"
as the Tantive III arrived Back on Coruscant, the ship is contacted by Mas Amedda.
"Senator Organa, the Supreme Chancellor requests your presence at a special session of Congress" Mas Amedda said
" I'll be there." Bail Organa said. Upon arriving at the Senate building the remaining jedi then prepared to disembark the Tantive III.
"May the force be with you" the senator said.
"Thank you" the Jedi replied.
As the Jedi And nightsister Disembarked, they began to make their way back to the Jedi Temple , Upon reaching They had to fight their way through clone troopers that were guarding the entrance.
Once inside they Walked through the temple observing the devastation coming across some of the temple guard bodies obi wan noting they had been killed with a lightsaber.
"Who would do this," Obi wan asks,
"If I had gone to the Chancellor's office Last night it probably would have been me" Anakin admitted. Thinking on how close he had nearly come to falling to the dark side.
"This is just awful, this explains why the guards didn't attempt to stop the clones they must have been betrayed by one of their own" Kit Fisto says, "Let's move on."
As the Jedi continued to make their way to central security Bail organa arrives, At the senate chamber joining Senator Padme Amadala in her Repulsorpod.
"Bail, what's going on?" Padme asks.
"I'm not entirely sure" Bail replied, "All the Mas Amedda said was that he had something important to announce."
"I don't have a good feeling about this," Padme admitted.
They watched as Mas Amedda opened the emergency session with "the Jedi Order attempted to overthrow the Galactic Republic. By attempting to arrest the Supreme Chancellor without seeking authorization of the Senate, Forcing the Supreme Chancellor to have to use the order 66 protocol to crush The rebellion."
"This is not good" Bail Organa Whispered,
"I have a bad feeling, About the direction the Chancellor is taking the Republic" Padme admitted.
As there's a loud applause From the other senators around them
That's when the Supreme Chancellor began to speak "Our loyal clone troopers contained the insurrection within the Jedi Temple and quelled uprisings on a thousand worlds. any remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated!" This is followed by another applause As Palpatine continues "In order to ensure the security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire!" this is followed by another applause "For a safe and secure society." There is a loud thunderous applause
"An empire?" Padme asked,
"This is not good" Bail Organa, whispered.
"An empire? an empire!"
This caused Padme To nearly fall out of her seat, She quickly turned to Bail Organa, Who appeared to be in shock at the announcement.
"So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause." Padme states rather bluntly.
Meanwhile back at the temple, Anakin, Obi-wan, Quinlan Voss and Asajj Ventress managed to arrive in the security control room while Kit festo and Aayla Secura To see if they could turn up any information on a good place to hide themselves in the younglings.
"We should be able to find out what happened via that holonet panel" Anakin said, He turns it on to Playing back the footage of what had occurred during the hours leading up to the attack,
They could see the jedi temple guards were trying to get the doors closed when they are cut down by one of their own.
"One of the temple guard betrayed the temple" Kit Fisto exclaimed.
"I found his mask." Quinlan Voss pointed out, Utilizing force echo he Is able to learn more about this temple guard.
"This mask belonged to one of the temple guards who had accompanied Anakin after he arrested Barris Offie, proving Ahsoka's innocence" Quinlan Voss Said.
"That would make sense he was witness to one of the order's greatest failings, We should have done more for Ahsoka instead of throwing her to the wolves " Aayla Secura mused.
"I've been looking for more of the footage it's not only a temple guard him is betrayed us" Anakin said.
He turns back on the Holonet terminal, Which is playing footage of the jedi in Question Iskat Akaris a female Pkorian, Tualon Yaluna a male twi'leck, Prosset Dibs a male Miraluka, and Masana Tide, a female Dowutin.
"So far it appears 4 to 5 Jedi have betrayed the order to Palpatine" Obi-wan said.
"It seems so, Though the echo I picked up from the mask would indicate there are four more" Quinlan Voss agreed,
"Well, That's a start, Hold on there's a bit more footage" Anakin mused. Another figure appeared on screen this one wielding two green lightsabers as he struck down Jedi left and right even killing the battlemaster Cin Dralling.
"This is unbelievable," Aayla Secura said.
"Who is it," Quinlan Voss asked,
"It's A'sharad Hett." Anakin replied. catching a glimpse of the man's face briefly in the recording
"A'sharad betrayed us as well," Aayla Secura sighed
"He was probably lured by the promise of more power," Asajj said.
That's when the security footage showed A'sharad kneeling on one knee before the hologram of Palpatine he was speaking to him But no audio could be heard from the recording.
"What's happening now," Aayla secura asked.
"Anakin is there a way we can find out what they were saying" Quinlan Voss asked,
"Maybe" anakin mused, "I have an idea" he said,
Anakin then pulled up another terminal and started working on it.
"What are you doing," Obi-wan asked.
" It looks like somebody tried to scrub the recording I might be able to restore some of the audio"
"Good, While you work on that I'm going to alter the beacon message" Obi-wan said he proceeded over to the beacon and programmed a recorded message into the beacon
"This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi: trust in the Force. Do not return to the Temple. That time has passed, and our future is uncertain. Avoid Coruscant. Avoid detection. Be secret... but be strong. We will each be challenged: our trust, our faith, our friendships. But we must persevere and, in time, I believe a new hope will emerge. May the Force be with you, always."
"I think that's going to work" Quinlan Voss said.
"Good" Obi-wan said.
That's when the recording started to play out though There was gaps in the audio,
"Darth krayt... Assume ...sk is complete." Palpatine said.
"...done as ..ou asked my m..ter," darth krayt/A'sharad hetts Replies.
"good.. He... to Mustafar m..rentice" Palpatine said.
"...y master" a'sharad hett said,
"It sounds like Hett has become, Palpatines new apprentice sounds like he christened him Darth Krayt." Quinlan Voss Stated,
"He also mentioned Mustafar, right before I confronted General grievous he told the separatist leadership to head to the Mustafar system." Obi-wan mused,
"So it's very possible darth krayt is heading to the Mustafar system" Quinlan Voss said.
"Which means the separatist Council is going to be killed" Kit fisto realized,
"when you put it like that it sounds like Palpatine is trying to tie up loose ends so no one can learn of his involvement with the cis " Asajj Ventress said.
"Well, looks like Obi Wan and I are heading to Mustafar" Anakin said.
"Be careful, Anakin" Aayla secura Said.
"The rest of us will return to Polis Massa with Bail organa" kit fisto said,
"Good" Obi-wan and Anakin agreed.
Obi-wan and Anakin made their way out of the temple, The two Jedi Decided to head to Senate apartment complex to ask padme if they could borrow her Naboo star skiff.
When Obi-wan Stopped and noticed a small holoprojector, He picked it up and activated it revealing a recording from Satine.
"Obi-Wan, If you're receiving this message then that means you're alive." Satine Kryze stated, "I was informed by Padme that the order was attacked and that the Palpatine Intends to reorganize the Republic into a galactic empire.
I am not sure where you are or even if you'll be able to receive this message, But I want you to know I love you. If you can make it to Mandalore, My people will protect you."
"Obi-Wan?" Anakin asked.
"Yes, I'm okay" Obi-wan said.
"Good, " Anakin said.

"We lost." Obi-wan stated bluntly.
"I'm so sorry," Padme said.
"Me too, I think the entire galaxy is going to suffer under Palpatine's regime" Obi-wan replied.
"There's something else" Anakin interjected.
"Oh, What is it" Padme asked.
"We need to borrow your Naboo skiff" Obi-wan said, "There's a possibility that Emperor Palpatine has sent his new apprentice to eliminate the leadership of the cis."
"Of course, But I'm coming with both you." Padme said.
"No, Padme please it's far to dangerous," Anakin said.
"My mind is set, Ani. Besides, I don't think it will be safe for me to remain Coruscant." Padme said.
"Why would you think that," Obi-wan asked.
"I was a part of the petition of 2,000 We were demanding Palpatine return his emergency powers that he had gained at the start of the clone wars, Everyone who signed the petition most likely will have a target on their back." Padme said.
"Alright" the Jedi reluctantly agreed, "But let's hurry."
"Let me just pack a few things." Padme said,
While the Senator did this Obi-wan and Anakin took a minute to contact Quinlan Voss and give him a brief update.
"Good, Looks like the three of you are leaving Coruscant," Quinlan Voss said.
"That is the plan," Obi-wan admitted.
"Just be careful, Both of you." Quinlan Voss reminded.
"We will," Anakin said.
The Jedi Then ended their transmission, As Padme emerged from her bedroom with a few suitcases, And C3PO and R2-D2 into toe.
"I'm ready, Let's go," Padme said,
"I can help with your luggage, Miss Padme." 3PO said,
"Thank you, 3po" Padme replied,
The Jedi And padme then headed to the docking bay where the naboo skiff was docked.
"So what's the plan" Padme asked.
" We're going to be heading to the Mustafar system, It's where the leadership of the cis were sent" Anakin began.
"If we're lucky we'll find out that they're still alive," Obi-wan said.
"The chances of that happening are very slim, since a flight through hyperspace we'll take a few hours" Padme Reminds Kenobi.
"Then let's hope for the best, because our options are slim" Obi-wan says,
"Yeah," the others agreed.
Meanwhile in the Mustafar system A lone jedi interceptor arrives on the plant, darth krayt Formerly A'sharad Hett steps off his ship. It makes his way to the command center where the separatist Council is located, He can hear his master over the holo Proclaiming that the war is over and he is offering the CIS a peace deal.
"A peace deal?" Nute Gunray asks.
"Yes, the war is over, I've come here to tell you that the republic is no more." Palpatine declared, "There is no further need for war, My apprentice will hash out thee arrangements." He ends the call as Darth Krayt enters The room through his mastery of the force he closes all the doors Then ignites his lightsabers to begin the slaughter.
"What are you doing, Stop!" Nute gunray ordered.
"Stop him, Attack" Wat Tambor orders the droid commandos, Who all open fire. Darth Krayt deflects the blaster bolts back at the droids destroying all of them,
"No, no, stop!" Nute gunray orders again.
Darth Krayt cuts down a commando droid, and proceeds to strike down a super battle droid
"You've got to stop, This is an act of aggression," Tikkes states.
Darth Krayt ignores him and proceeds to cut down another commando droid.
"Stop, please, stop" Nute gunray begs,
"The Republic and the cis are no more, The empire will rule the galaxy." Darth krayt stated,
"But how do we know the empire will treat us fairly," Wat tambor asked.
"You will never know, For you were simple pawns that were always meant to be discarded" Darth Krayt said. as he struck down Poggle the Lesser, And Rogwa Wodrata.
"No, stop" Nute Gunray begs, "Stop, stop" he says as Po Nudo, Passel Argente, and Shu Mai were struck down,
"We did what Darth Sidious wanted why does he want us dead." Wat Tambor asked,
"Because he does not need you anymore" Darth Krayt responded, He proceeded to strike down Wat Tambor.
"No, no, no, We were promised peace" Nute Gunray begged.
"Peace is a lie." Darth krayt Quotes the Sith code, As he strikes down Nute Gunray
"there is only passion" Darth Krayt said. He cuts down more droids as he continues quoting the code Walking towards San hill
"Through passion, I gain strength." Darth krayt as he strikes down San Hill.
"No, no, no." Tikkes exclaimed,
"Through strength, I gain power." Darth krayt continued. As he killed a battle droid.
" Through power victory, through victory my chains are broken." Darth krayt finishes as he kills Tikkes.
Darth Krayt turns off his lightsaber and calls his master
"it is done my master, I've dealt with the leadership of the cis. "Darth krayt said.
"Good, good. Return to the palace, My new apprentice." Palpatine ordered,
"Yes, Master." Darth Krayt obeyed, As he was leaving to return to his Jedi Interceptor another ship arrived and he could sense two jedi aboard the vessel, He realized that the only reason they were there was because they probably discovered his betrayal he would have Kill them.
Anakin piloted the skiff towards the planet,
"We're entering the atmosphere." Anakin said.
"Look" padme pointed out,
Obi-wan and anakin look to see a green jedi interceptor
"Anakin, You should be prepared to get out of there." Obi-wan suggested.
"We have to investigate," Anakin stated,
"But there's a possibility that there is a sith on the planet, It's too dangerous" Obi-wan said.
"Padme, Stay in the ship the last thing we want is our child to be harmed" Anakin insisted.
"But, Ani," Padme began.
"Please, Stay in the ship. Obi-wan and I will take care of this." Anakin insisted.
"Okay, Be careful both of you." Padme said.
"Stay hidden," Anakin suggested.
"We will" Obi-wan insisted,
Anakin and Obi-wan proceed to leave the ship as padme hides,
"Anakin, What do you sense" Obi-wan asked.
"Darkness, and death were too late he's already killed the separatist council" Anakin mused,
"I guess we shouldn't have expected any better, Come on" Obi-wan said, As they began exploring the compound they found the remains of the sepratist leadership.
"I don't believe this," Obi-wan sighed.
"This was the worst case scenario, We were to late." Anakin sighed.
"Now we must leave," Obi-wan said
"You're right, Let's go." Anakin agreed, The two Jedi return to the Skiff, Only to come face to face with the man who butchered the separatists.
"It's A'sharad" Anakin realizes.
"Why would you betray the order" Obi-wan said.
"Betray the order, You say" Darth Krayt laughed.
"What's so funny" Obi-wan asked.
"The orderand the Republic was rotten to the core this fate was inevitable" Darth krayt stated
"Your deluded" Anakin stated.
"You think so" Darth Krayt replied
"We know so" Anakin said,
"Very well then" Darth Krayt replied, as he removed his cloak Placing his hands on his lightsabers, "Let's end this." He said.
Anakin and Obi-Wan activate their lightsabers and charge towards the newly turned sith,
Anakin and Obi-wan both swing Their blue blades at darth krayt who blocks the two strikes, the three continue to battle across the room.
"It ends here, A'sharad" Obi-wan stated.
"Not today, Kenobi" Darth Krayt responded, as he blocked another one of obi-wan's attacks, and then deflected Anakin's attack, Throughout the fight Anakin mind thinks back to when he first dueled Count Dooku with two lightsabers realizing he can use that knowledge he was advantage, The young jedi began using the same move as Dooku to counter Darth Krayt Jar'Kai style.
"Anakin, What are you doing." Obi-wan asked.
"Something brilliant," Anakin replied, As he began to attack darth krayt, force him into a vulnerable position where he was able to Bring his blade down on one of Darth Krayt Hilts destroying the emitter rendering the saber useless.
"How" Darth Krayt snarled, As Anakin kicked him away,
"You've grown stronger," Darth krayt said, As he picked up the lightsaber that was damaged, The sith threw the broken lightsaber at Anakin, Who Caught it Quickly clipping it to his belt.
"I've gotten better" Anakin admitted.
"So you have" darth krayt admitted.
Anakin and Obi-Wan continue battling with the Sith, who deflects their strikes.
"You're good" Darth krayt said.
"We know, We've heard that one before." Anakin stated.
"But not from me, I am better" Darth krayt stated, He used the force to knock obi-wan aside and engaged anakin. Thinking quickly and I can use the force to pull something off the wall and used it to distract the sith long enough To amputate his right arm
"Argh, You'll pay for that Skywalker" Darth Krayt yelled, He used the force to pull Anakin to him and punched him in the face, and then He was about to reuse his remaining lightsaber to kill Anakin only for Obi Wan To throw his lightsaber in a spinning arc cutting off Krayts lower legs.
"This is it, The end" Obi-Wan said. Using the force he called Krayt functional lightsaber to his hand
"Indeed" Anakin agreed.
"You may have won the battle, But You will never be safe." Darth Krayt taunted. As Kenobi and Skywalker return to the skiff Climbing aboard the boarding ramp and headed straight to the cockpit padme looked to be a little bit distressed
"Are you okay" Anakin asked.
"My water just broke" padme groaned.
"What" Anakin exclaimed.
"You're going to be a father," Obi-wan smiled.
"Yeah, I am" Anakin agreed.
"We need to get to a medical facility, That's not aligned with the Empire." Padme suggested.
"Polis Massa, Is not that far from Mustafar thankfully" Obi-wan said. As he looked at the hyperspace map.
"Let's go," Anakin said,
"I'll pilot the skiff," Obi-wan offered.
"Okay" Anakin agreed,
Anakin helped Padme to the nearest Med-Bay
"Just relax, everything is going to be okay" Anakin soothed.
"I hope your right," Padme said.
Meanwhile, Emperor Palpatine arrived on Mustafar having sensed his new apprentice being attacked finding him sprawled on the ground of the landing platform
"What happened," Palpatine demanded.
"They cut me down," Darth Krayt said, He looked to be in agony from the pain, "I have failed you, Master"
"No, You are stronger than I thought. I will have you rebuilt." Palpatine stated, He lifted Darth krayt using the force and proceeded to carry him into a medical station and placed him on a stretcher, "You will have the finest cybernetic implants the galaxy has ever seen. You will serve me until the end of time." Palpatine promised, As the doors close behind him.
"Yes, master." Darth krayt said.
"Everything will go according to my plans." Palpatine said,
"The dark lord of the sith will rise again." Palpatine said.
"Stronger, Better." Palpatine said.
It didn't take long for though the skiff to reach Polis Massa Padme was taken to med-bay
"Are you okay," Anakin asked, As he entered the room
"I'm fine, The contractions are getting worse, But that's not the surprising part I just learned from the medical droid" Padme admitted.
"What is it" Anakin asked,
"You're not going to believe this." Padme began,
"What is it" Anakin inquired.
"We're going to have twins, a son and a daughter" Padme said.
"Are you sure," Anakin asked.
"Yes, the medical droid did the ultrasound scan" Padme said, "I saw it"
"Wow" Anakin smiled, "Twins, That's incredible."
"I know, I guess that means we were both right." Padme agreed.
"Yeah" Anakin smiled, as Obi Wan entered.
"Anakin, Padme. There's news" Obi-wan informed.
"What is it," Anakin asked.
"Master windu are dead, According to the report he tried to confront Emperor Palpatine on his own." Obi-Wan explained.
"Did he kill the emperor" Padme asked.
"No the Emperor is still alive. This apparently happened while Anakin and I were fighting Darth krayt" Obi-wan said.
"Palpatine's more powerful than we imagined," Anakin realized.
"Yes, and now there's not much we can do about it, I also have some good news some more survivors have made it here" Obi-wan said.
"who did we make it" Padme asked.
"Ahsoka tano and Captain Rex arrived about an hour ago" Obi-wan revealed.
"They did" Anakin asked.
"They did, you should go talk to them." Obi-wan suggested.
"Thank you, old friend" Anakin smiled.
"You're welcome." Obi-wan replied.
Anakin and Obi-wan leave the med-bay and head towards the command center,
"Ahsoka, You made it but how is Rex here." Anakin asked.
" It's a long story short version is I managed to get rex to the medical bay, I had to use the force to locate the inhibitor chip so the medical droid could disable it" Ahsoka said.
"That's incredible" Anakin smiled.
"Yes, it is." Obi-wan agreed.
"Where's Padme, is she alright" Ahsoka asked.
"She's fine, She's in the med-bay, giving birth to twins." Anakin replied.
"What" Ahsoka asked.
"Anakin's going to be a father," Obi-wan said.
"That's wonderful news, I'm really happy for you," Ahsoka smiled.
"Thank you, Ahsoka" Anakin replied.
"So, What happens now," Rex asked.
"What do you mean" Obi-wan questioned.
"What is our next step" Rex asked.
"There's not much we can do, Emperor Palpatine's grip is far too tight. Once the Twins are born master Yoda is probably going to hold a meeting to discuss our next steps." Anakin said.
"I agree," Obi-wan said.
"Me too" Ahsoka agreed.
"Then we have nothing else to do, but wait" Rex stated.
"Yes, we do" Obi-wan replied.
"Wait, For what" Ahsoka asked.
"Master Windu attempted to confront Emperor Palpatine, But failed. He's most likely dead." Obi-wan said, "Now with the Jedi scattered and the clone army being under the control of Palpatine we are in a dire situation."
"There is always hope" Anakin replied.
"I know, there is" Obi-wan smiled,
"I've always admired that about you, Anakin." Obi-wan admitted.
"Thanks, Obi-wan" Anakin replied.
"You're welcome, old friend." Obi-wan smiled.
"Well, I suppose all we can do is wait" Anakin mused.
"I know, I hate waiting." Obi-wan agreed,
"I'm going to go check on Padme, Let me know if anything comes up." Anakin said.
"Will do," Obi-wan replied.
Anakin and Rex depart from the room and headed to the medical bay.
"So, How are you feeling, General" Rex asked.
"Don't call me that anymore," Anakin said.
"Okay," Rex agreed,
"But, to answer your question. I feel a mix of emotions, I'm terrified that something bad is going to happen. But at the same time, I'm excited that I'm going to be a father." Anakin replied.
"Understandable, That's a lot to take in" Rex mused.
"Yeah, It is" Anakin agreed,
"Do you think the empire will find us" Rex asked.
"It's very likely, but not right now" Anakin admitted.
"You don't seem worried" Rex stated.
"I'm not, I'm confident in my ability to protect the ones I care about." Anakin said.
"Right" Rex replied.
"I think I'm going to head to the med-bay and check on Padme." Anakin said.
"Okay" Rex acknowledged.
"Let me know if anything happens." Anakin said.
"Will do." Rex saluted,
"At ease soldier" Anakin smiled,
"Of course," Rex replied.
Anakin leaves the room and heads straight to the med-bay,
"Ani, Is that you." Padme called out,
"Yes, It's me," Anakin confirmed.
"Come in here, I have the kids ready." Padme called,
Anakin heads into the room and finds Padme holding two infants.
"Wow," Anakin said, as he sat beside his wife.
"Meet Luke and Leia, They're perfect." Padme smiled.
"I agree, they're beautiful." Anakin agreed, as he gently took Leia into his arms, He could feel the force emanating from her
"She's strong with the force" Anakin said.
"And What about her brother" Padme asked.
"I haven't sensed anything yet, but we can't rule it out" Anakin replied, "There's a good chance he has a really high M-count if necessary he could be trained though it'll take longer"
"Okay" Padme said.
"What are we going to do" Anakin asked.
"Well, for now let's get a good night's rest. Tomorrow we will tell everyone" Padme decided.
"Alright" Anakin smiled, as he set Leia down and laid next to Padme.
"Good night," Padme said.
"Good Night," Anakin replied.
Anakin and Padme drifted off into slumber.
Meanwhile back on corusant Darth krayt Was rushed in for medical treatment new robotic looms to replace the ones that had been amputated and a set of Sith Stalker Armor that was cybernetically grafted to him
"You will live," Palpatine declared.
"Thank you, Master" Darth Krayt replied.
"It's a pity you lost your lightsabers, You all have to acquire a new Kyber crystal's and bleed them red" Palpatine assured.
"Yes, master" Darth Krayt agreed,
"What's my next step, Master" Darth Krayt asked.
" You are to hunt down a Jedi named Kirak Infil'a, According to the archives he took Barash vow. You are to hunt him down and kill him and claim his lightsabers Kyber crystal as your own" Palpatine answered,
"Very well, Master. Where do I find him" Darth Krayt asked.
"According to the reports he has been hiding on Al'doleem." Palpatine replied.
"Al'doleem" Darth Krayt exclaimed,
" It is a moon located in the mid rim" Palpatine confirmed.
"Very well, master" Darth krayt said, as he rose from the bed.
"Be wary, Darth krayt." Palpatine warned.
"Why" Darth Krayt inquired.
" Kirak infil'a is a specialist in combat, So he should be quite the challenge." Palpatine said.
"Yes, master. I will not fail you" Darth Krayt vowed, as he boarded his personal ship and traveled to the planet Al'doleem.
The scene transitions back to Polis Massa The very next morning the Jedi and the Senators have assembled in the meeting room on the Tantive III
"Find a safe place for the youngling we must." yoda stated.
" But where it would have to be somewhere the empire can't reach" Plo Koon points out.
"How about Naboo, it's neutral" Bail offered.
"Naboo Is the Emperor's home world, they wouldn't be safe there" Ahsoka countered.
"She's right, we need a planet that is located somewhere that's uncharted" Obi-wan agreed.
"We don't have many options" Plo Koon pointed out.
"What about Tanalorr?" Aayla secura spoke up.
"What about it," Shaak Ti asked.
" From what I remember learning about the High Republic the planet was discovered to be within Koboh Abyss nebula." Aayla replied.
"Yes, Yes I recall hearing that as well" Kit Fisto added.
" It would be the perfect place for the jedi order to rebuild" Obi-wan realized.
"Yes, and All records pointing to existence mentioned that it's virtually impossible to reach." Aayla Secura agreed.
"Manage to reach tanalorr one jedi knight did" Master Yoda
"That's right, Master. Jedi Master Dagan Gera was the one who was believed to have mapped out the route, His flight data was used to create the abyss compasses." Plo Koon agreed.
"Only problem is weren't the compasses destroyed after the Nilih managed to reach the planet?" Kit Fisto pointed out. Directing his question at Master Yoda
"Destroyed not all were." Master yoda clarified.
"Are you suggesting that one of the compasses?" Anakin asked. with a hint of skepticism in his voice
"Hidden on the planet koboh the last abyss compass was" master yoda assured.
"Okay, We need to find the last compass. Who should we send" Ahsoka asked.
"Ventress and I should do it." Quinlan Voss suggested.
"Hrrmmm. Your gift of force echo allow you to retrace the steps santari khri. Yes, hrrrm." Yoda said.
"Very well then, We will travel to koboh." Ventress said.
"You both shall, and find the abyss compass. Bring it back to us, you must" yoda ordered.
"We won't let you down." Asajj Ventress replied.
"May the force be with you both" Obi-wan said.
"It always is." Ventress Smirked.
"Indeed" Quinlan Voss Agreed, as the pair left the meeting room and boarded a ship that took off heading towards koboh System.
"Now, That's out of the way. We should probably all split up and line low for a while until the abyss compass is found" Plo Koon Suggested.
"Kit Fisto and I will look for any other jedi survivors" Aayla Secura stated.
"Padme and I were planning to visit my stepbrother on Tatooine, we'll reach out to her family there since it wouldn't be wise for us to return to Naboo" Anakin explained
"Okay, we'll keep each other posted." Obi-wan promised.
"May the force be with you, Obi-wan" Padme said.
"You too, milady" Obi-wan replied.
Anakin and padme and their kids depart the Tantive III and boarded the naboo star skiff and Prepared to depart for Tatooine,
"So, What exactly is our plan, General" Rex asked.
"I'm going to head to Mandalore" Obi-wan said.
"Are you sure" Rex asked.
"Yes, I want to check on the Duchess Satine" Obi-wan answered.
"I'm going to see if I can get my fellow troopers to see reason" Rex decided.
"Okay, But be careful" Obi-wan said.
"Right." Rex replied,
"And, Ahsoka are you going to stay here" Obi-wan asked.
"No, I'm going to accompany Anakin and padme. It would be safer for the twins." Ahsoka explained.
"Alright, Good Luck, my friends" Obi-wan smiled.
"To you as well" Rex said,
"Goodbye." Obi-wan replied,
"May the force be with you, general." Rex said.
"May the force be with you, captain" Obi-wan smiled.
