Hey everybody! Quick note, this was written by one of my friends, she asked me to post it for her since she doesn't have her own fanfic account, so congrats to her! That also means that the update dates (that's weird to write) won't be written on my profile as I have no control over when the next chapter will be finished.
.
Another round of applause to my friend for writing this, and let's get started.
Giyu ran through the woods, jumping over sticks and logs. He ran to the house that was supposedly attacked by Muzan himself. Suddenly, Giyu heard a loud scream. He came to a stop and cocked his head in the direction of the scream.
.
"Nezuko! Nezuko!" screamed the voice, "Don't do it! Don't become a demon!" Giyu considered his options—save the human being killed by the demon or continue to the house. He thought more deeply and realized that the demon might have just been turned, and Muzan could already be gone.
.
So Giyu yet again set off through the snowy woods, locating the voice shouting. "Nezuko! Nezu-" the voice stopped. That's when Giyu arrived. Landing on a branch, he observed the scene before him. A boy in a green and black hoari was laying on the snowy ground, a female demon over him. He was holding an axe in the demon's mouth.
.
The girl didn't seem to be trying to bite him, she was just over him. Giyu unsheathed his sword, wielding it in his hands. Quickly, he jumped from the branch and was about to kill the demon when the boy's eyes went wide. He must think I'm going to kill him as well, thought Giyu. The boy rolled to the side, the demon in tow. Giyu hit the ground before turning to face them. The boy held on to the demon as if to protect it.
.
Giyu thought of his own sister, when she protected him from demons. "Don't kill Nezuko!" The boy cried. "That thing is a demon. It will kill you and it will kill others. Give it to me." Giyu said harshly. "My sister would never hurt anyone! Please! Spare us!" Giyu's eyes hardened, begging and whining would get this boy nowhere. Demons don't have feelings, no matter who they once were, they will kill whoever they want, even family.
.
Quickly, he grabbed the demon by her kimono and dragged her back. Much to the surprise of the boy who looked around vigorously. He finally noticed Giyu holding the struggling demon by the neck. "Stop!" he shouted desperately. But Giyu didn't care. He plunged his sword into the demon's heart. Not enough to kill it, but enough to severely injure it.
.
The demon and the boy screamed in unison. The boy grabbed his axe and a few rocks before running into the trees. He not only saw fear in the boy's eyes, but something else as well. Something he would recognize only later, as pure rage.
.
The demon struggled in Giyu's hands as the boy pelted rocks at him. He dodged easily, but it was annoying. He sighed "You're wasting my time" he called out. As soon as the boy emerged from the trees, axe behind him primed to strike, Giyu slammed the hilt of his sword at his neck.
.
The boy gasped, then fell unconscious. As Giyu observed his limp body, he realized something, Hold on...where's his axe? There was a whizzing in the air, looking up he saw the axe flying straight toward his face. Giyu avoided it, but there were still things on his mind. This boy...he knew he couldn't take me down, Giyu thought, so he planned to defeat me afterwards...As Giyu gazed upon the boy, one word came to mind—brilliant.
.
Though the demon was struggling in his hands, Giyu paid no attention. But...why?, he thought, Why did he try so hard to protect the demon? Then remembered what the boy called her—sister...
.
The demon struggled out of Giyu's grip. She ran over to the unconscious boy and reached for his face. She'll devour him, I was useless to protect him. I'm a failure. I will never live up to Sabito...Then, as if to protect the weakling, the girl whipped around and spread her arms.
.
Giyu's eyes widened in shock. Without missing a beat, the girl lunged toward him. Giyu sheathed his sword. He whacked the girl in the neck with his hand, rendering her unconscious. Giyu stood there, pondering his next move. Maybe...just maybe..., he thought. He knew what he was about to do was risky, millions could die, but as he gazed upon the fallen girl, his mind was set.
.
Carefully, he picked up the boy and set him down next to his sister, before wrapping her in a blanket. He knew what he was doing was selfish. Urokodaki-san didn't want any more students, not after everyone else. But this boy needed training, and Giyu didn't trust anyone else to train someone traveling with a demon. So in the woods he waited for the boy to awake.
Hope you enjoyed it.
.
Like I said, I don't know when the next chapter will be posted, so it won't be written on my profile.
.
Also, I have to tell you how fun it is to post this, because I have no clue what will be written in the next chapter, or who it will feature. The first time I saw this was when my friend was like "Hey, can you read this for me. My grammar sucks, but like, can you?"
.
And that's how this was brought to you today. So yeah, this is super fun to post and I hope you had fun reading it.
.
Anyhow! Enjoy the rest of your day/night!
