Copy and paste message to all my threads: Hiatus and the reasons for it.
Dear readers, favorers, and followers of Michael in Arizona:
Hello, everyone. Thank you to everyone who has supported my threads by reading, favoring, and following them. Retroactive to April 1st, 2024, all of my threads will be on hiatus through at least the end of May. There are multiple reasons for this but the main reason is very embarrassing. It has recently come to my attention that I have legitimately forgotten a lot of my own content. I have seen recent reviews on or PMs about my threads from various guests and members referencing certain things happening in certain chapters and have gone back to read said chapters to realize I had completely forgotten things that had happened in my stories. In some of my stories, I have been struggling recently with where to go next and part of the problem is how much I've forgotten of how much I've already written. I am taking a step back from adding new chapters to my threads and I am going to take some time over the next month and a half or so to thoroughly reread and refamiliarize myself with all of my own threads. Readers of each individual thread will be addressed below this general message:
Dear readers of The Harry Potter Naming Thread:
I'm going to be honest with you all right now: When I resume writing new content after my hiatus, The Harry Potter Naming Thread will be a very low priority thread for me. It is not one of my favorite of my own threads and it has never achieved as much popularity as I originally thought it would. While I had expected to lose some favorers and followers along the way due to short low effort low quality chapters as the thread progress, I was always very disappointed that this thread did not gain more popularity in its early stages. I had expected to peak at about 60 favorers and about 80 followers and I'm at 19 favorers and 21 followers right now and that's without many drops along the way. I now attribute the low popularity of this thread relative to my own expectations even in its earliest days to there just not being nearly as much interest in the concept of baby naming as I had thought there might be. At the very least I will do a future chapter on why Draco names his son Scorpius and I'll cover a few more canon characters namings but this won't be a high priority thread. I do promise that I will NOT be like Darling Clementine but instead will be like Frosty the Snowman!
