Note: I'm going to be putting up a Dinosaur King crossover with my Kingdom Hearts and Pokémon crossover series, so it takes place a little bit before we get to the Ice Cave. Not only we get to meet the cast of Dinosaur King, including Chomp and the other dinosaurs, but we get some dinosaur-like Heartless appearing in it. Along with Xigbar pulling the strings. The story takes place between chapters 192 and 193. Anyway, enjoy!
We open up to a remote island in the middle of the ocean. We see the island inhabited by wild Pokémon such as Pidgey, Doduo, Eevee, Happiny, and other Pokémon. And we also see a laboratory occupied by an elderly scientist wearing a white lab coat over a purple shirt and a red tie. Hore light brown pants and a pair of red shoes. He has white hair with four on top and a white beard. He picks up a strange energy.
"What's this? I never seen anything like this before," the scientist said. He pushed a button, and what he saw are Heartless that greatly resembles dinosaurs appeared on the screen. He thought he was seeing actual dinosaurs, so he grinned evilly. "Those have got to be my dinosaurs out on the loose! Better get those three slackers in here." He spoke through an intercom. "Ursula, Ed, Zander! Get your worthless hides in here now!"
The echo reaches all across the island, scaring off the Pidgey out of the trees.
Hearing his voice, there are three individuals in the jungle.
One of them is green hair with two curled strands at the front, framing her face, and a long ahoge-like ponytail that curls at the end, hazel eyes, and lipstick. She wears a sleeveless burgundy red, skin-tight jumpsuit outfit, where it connects to a black choker with an A emblem. A diamond-shaped cut out in her jumpsuit reveals her navel. She wears an off-purple colored cloak with pointed edges held by gold buttons. On her arms, she has a light pink gloves that bare her fingers except the middle finger that runs up to the upper arm. She also wears light pink high heels.
Another is a tall, lanky man who wears a dark brown tuxedo with a red shirt underneath, black pants, and black shoes, and also has black hair and brown eyes underneath round, black glasses.
And another is a short, chunny man with blue spiky hair and has a strawberry-shaped nose. He is wearing a purple shirt with the same symbol and brown pants held up bu suspenders and also wearin brown boots and light purple gloves.
"Ugh, what could Dr. Z want now?" The woman asked.
"Maybe he's found another dinosaur," the lanky man said.
"More dinosaurs to add to our own army," the chubby man said.
The trio rushed off to the lab to where the elderly scientist is waiting for them.
"Took you three long enough!" The scientist yelled.
"We came as soon as we got your message, Dr. Z," the woman said.
"Since you're here, have a look at the screen," Dr. Z said, pointing to the screen. The dinosaur-like Heartless are displayed on the screen.
"Are they supposed to be dinosaurs?" The chubby man asked.
"Of course they're dinosaurs, you idiot!" The woman barked, conking the chubby man, hard.
"Ow! Sorry, Ursula," the chubby man said, rubbing his head.
"Won't you shut up and listen?!" Dr. Z yelled. The trio listened up. "The energy reading came from somewhere in the Johto region near Blackthorn City, so I need you to go on down there and capture those dinosaurs and bring them to me. Oh, and take Ed and Zander, too."
"It will be done," Ursula said.
"You got it," Ed said.
"Consider it done," Zander said.
"Then why are you still here? Go! Now! Chop-chop!" Dr. Z yelled.
"Not so fast!" A feminine yet gruff voice spoke with a German accent. They turned to see a large woman, wearing a yellow shirt and brown long skirt under a white apron. She has brown hair tied in a bun. "Dr. Z, it is time for lunch, and no one is leaving until you eat every last bite!" Dr. Z and the trio were shivering with fear at the sight of her.
"Does it have to be now, Helga?" Dr. Z asked.
"Let's go!" Helga said, grabbing Dr. Z by the back of the lab coat and carried him off. The trio tried to sneak off, but Helga was quick to notice. "That means you, too!" The trio knew better than to argue with the maid and followed.
"Yes, ma'am," Ursula, Ed, and Zander said.
Meanwhile, in a different part of the lab, there is a young man with spiked blue hair and pale skin with a pair of triangular reddish tattoo marks under his eyes. He red/brown overcoat with the Alpha Gang symbol on the left side. There is a little pocket with a high collar. There are two pockets on either side of his coat, and he wears fingerless gloves the same color as the trim of the coat. He wears pants and boots. Although he never takes off his coat, it can be inferred that he wears a shirt or something else under it. Coming through a corridor of darkness is Xigbar.
"Hey there, Seth. Or should I call you 'Nopis'?" Xigbar asked.
"Seth is fine. And good of you to come, Xigbar. I was beginning to think you weren't going to show up," Seth said.
"We just had to get everything ready. After all, my boss, Xemnas was the one who made this secret alliance with the Alpha Gang official. Which reminds me, is the plan going on schedule?" Xigbar asked.
"The Heartless you've provided will do their part. All I ask that you do yours. Also, are you certain they'll draw their attention?" Seth asked.
"Oh, I know they will. When the Heartless attacks, then Sora and his girlfriend will come rushing in with their Keyblades and fight them off. And that's when your dinos will jump in and finish the job," Xigbar said.
"Yes, that was the deal I made with you and your Organization," Seth said.
"Great! I think I'll let you finish setting the stage," Xigbar said, leaving through the corridor of darkness.
Meanwhile, over to Porta Vista, three kids are walking down the streets along with three miniature dinosaurs. One is a triceratops, one is a parasaurolophus, and one is a carnitaurus.
One of the kids is a boy who has pale skin, spiky brown hair, and big round purple eyes. He wears a red short-sleeve T-shirt with a yellow collar and a black fanny pack around his tummy decorated with a dinosaur tooth. He also wears orange jeans, red sneakers and red gloves with no fingers. Most distinctive of all, he wears a visor with a clear 'shade' and a triceratops horns that double up as flashlights.
Another is a girl who has pastel pink hair and violet purple eyes. She wears a ebony-black, midriff-baring top with short sleeves under an unbuttoned, mustard-and-scarlet safari-vest. She also wears shorts with a leather that match the color of her vest with a fanny pack, and with thigh-length, black socks and lime-and-flacken sneakers. She wears an emerald-green choker and a dinosaur-tooth necklace, as well as lime wristbands. She styles her hair in pigtails held by yellow scrunchies, and her sunglasses double up as a camera.
And the third is a boy who has pale skin, blonde hair which notably sports two ahoge hair strands from behind his head and blue eyes. He wears a multi-blue, long-sleeved jacket over a white T-shirt with brown pants. He also wears blue sneakers and owns a dinosaur tooth necklace, similar to that of the other members, except his is larger than the other two's.
They arrived to Danny's Bay of Burgers for some lunch. As they entered, the kids spotted Danny at the counter. He spotted them walking in.
"Max, Zoe, Rex. Good of you to come," Danny greeted. He sees the dinosaurs right beside them. "And hello to you, too, Chomp, Paris, Ace."
"Hi, Mr. Danny. Our usual order," Max said.
"Sure thing, kids. And I'll get something for your small compadres," Danny said. "Three cheese burgers with the works, Big Earl."
"On it, boss!" Big Earl said.
As Big Earl started cooking the triceratops started to chew on the legs on one of the chairs.
"Chomp, stop doing that! You're going to get us into trouble!" Max said. He pulls Chomp and the mini-triceratops holds on. "Let go, Chomp!" Just then, Candy came by with some fruit and some fish for the dinosaurs. Chomp lets the chair go and started to eat the fruit along with Paris as Ace starts eating the fish.
"Here you go, sweeties," Candy said. She looked at the three kids. "Your order's going to be done soon."
Meanwhile, the Alpha Trio ride in their aircraft. With them is a miniature tyrannosaurus rex, spinosaurus, and saichania.
"How much further are we?" Ursula asked, getting bored.
"We should be there soon," Zander said.
"You said that a half hour ago," Ursula said.
"You don't know where we're going, do you?" Ed asked.
"I didn't say that," Zander said.
"If you get us lost, I'm going to kill you both!" Ursula yelled.
"What did I do?" Ed asked. The tyrannosaurus then bites Ursula.
"Ow! I'm not a chew toy, Terry!" Ursula yelled.
The aircraft rocks around and around.
"Hang on, Spiny!" Zander said.
"Don't poke me with those spikes, Tank!" Ed said.
Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and the Pichu take a walk to a nearby town after seeing Tohru off back to his own time period. Just when they were about to keep going, a Velociclaw appeared before them.
"Tracey, you take Togepi," Kairi said, handing Togepi to Tracey.
"You can count on me," Tracey said.
"A Heartless!" Sora, Kairi, Ash, and Leaf exclaimed. Sora, Kairi, Ash, and Leaf summoned their Keyblades.
Back in Porta Vista, Max, Zoe and Rex finished their meal.
"That was tasty," Max said with ketchup smothered on his face. Zoe wipes his mouth off with a napkin.
"I swear, Max, you're such a messy eater," Zoe said.
"It's my fault Mr. Danny makes the best burger in the world," Max said.
A beeping sound is heard. Rex took out a device from his bag. The device is a long silver device being a rectangular casing on the end of a short handle, designed to be held in the left hand, and feature a screen on both the front and back plus a small array of black buttons for each.
"The Dino Holder's going off!" Rex said. He pushes the button on his device. Max and Zoe each have one.
Each one has a symbol. Max's is lightning, Rex's is wind, and Zoe's is grass. A map of the Johto region is displayed on the Dino Holders.
"It's right in the Johto region!" Zoe said.
"A new dinosaur might have been detected there!" Max said.
"Then we better get down to the museum right away!" Rex said.
"Right!" Max and Zoe said. Danny walked up.
"I guess the D-Team is at it again. I'll put this on your dad's tab, Max," Danny said.
It was obvious Danny knew their secret since he knows about Sora being a Keyblade wielder.
"Thanks, Mr. Danny!" Max said as he and his friends rushed out. Danny couldn't help but chuckle.
"Those kids are full of all sorts of energy," Danny said.
As they ran, they made it through the passing people and Pokémon going about their daily routine. They made it inside as Ventus, Terra, and Aqua were inside, looking at Pokémon fossils, as well as dinosaur bones. They spotted the trio and the mini-dinos run in.
With them is a man who has spiky brown hair and purple eyes, much like Max. He wears a gold shirt with rolled-up cuffs, with a brown vest over it as well as blue jeans. He also has a cowboy hat with blueish grey band around it. He is also rather muscular.
With him is an attractive young woman with long, blonde hair and purple eyes. Her typical attire consists of a green top with a brown miniskirt, a white lab-coat and dark red high heels. She is also wearing square-framed glasses.
"Dad!" Max called out.
"Oh, kids! I was about to call you!" Max's father said.
"What's going on, Dr. Taylor?" Zoe asked.
"Glad you asked. You see, we picked up a strange energy reading," Max's father replied.
"It's not like anything we've seen, but we got something on the monitors," The young woman said shows the D-Team the Triceradark Heartless attacking the town, much to the shock of Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and the D-Team.
"Those dinosaurs don't look right," Max said.
"Heartless!" Ventus exclaimed, catching the attention of the D-Team.
"What? Those are Heartless?" Zoe asked.
"Yeah, that's what they are," Ventus said.
"The Heartless are monsters that came from the darkness in people's hearts," Terra said.
"I think the Alpha Gang might have something to do with this," Max said.
"Unlikely," Aqua said. "They don't look like the type who would control the Heartless with ease."
"I agree with Aqua. But the Heartless has to he stopped!" Rex said.
"Rex is right. We gotta clear them out!" Max said.
"Okay, here we go!" Max said as he and his friends got on the transporter. The D-Squad pushes the buttons on their Dino Holders and teleports to their destination.
Upon arriving to the town, they all looked around. And they soon spotted a blue stegosaurus-like Heartless. It has the Heartless symbol on its sides and yellow eyes. This Heartless shall be known as the Stegospike. Chomp, Paris, and Ace felt a bit scared when they saw the Heartless.
"It's one of them," Rex said.
"We can handle this!" Max said.
"Yeah, it won't scare us away that easily!" Zoe said. The D-Team held their Dino Holders and the mini-dinos turned into cards.
"Dino Slash!" The D-Team shouted as the mini-dinosaurs have materialized and became much larger versions.
"Get them, Chomp!" Max shouted.
The triceratops charges at the Stegospike and pushes it down, but it gets back up. Several Triceradarks came and charged at Chomp, pushing him down. Paris pushes at the Triceradarks and Ace grabs one by the leg and tossed it. The dinosaur-like Heartless attempts to attack when Sora and Pikachu jumped and slashed at the Stegospike with the Kingdom Key and with Iron Tail.
"You okay?" Sora asked.
"Sora!" Max, Zoe, and Rex exclaimed.
"Catch up later! Get to safety!" Sora said. A Velociclaw came up behind him.
"Behind you!" Zoe called out. Sora turned around only to see Kairi slashed at it with her Destiny's Embrace. Angel fired Swift at several of the Velociclaws that appeared.
"I got your back, Sora!" Kairi said.
"Thanks, Kairi!" Sora said.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
Ash and Leaf struck down the Heartless that crossed their paths, along with the dinosaurs. The fight went on right until the last of the Heartless were eliminated. The dinosaurs turned back into cards, but the D-Team used Dino Slash on the Dino Holders and they materialized into the mini-dinos.
"Man, I'm glad that's over," Max said.
"Same here. We weren't expecting to see you again," Sora said.
"You know them, Sora?" Tracey asked.
"Yeah. Meet the D-Team. Max Taylor and his partner, Chomp. Rex Owen and his partner, Ace. And Zoe Drake, and her partner, Paris," Sora introduced. He sets his attention to the D-Team. "Max, Rex, Zoe, meet Tracey Sketchit. He's a Pokémon Watcher."
"Nice to meet you," Tracey said.
"Likewise," Rex said.
"Say, I know you two. I watched you compete in the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League and lost to Sora," Zoe said.
"Um, thanks, I guess," Ash said.
"And I didn't think you would get a Keyblade, Kairi. I was very amazed by that," Zoe said.
"Thanks, Zoe," Kairi said. Zoe noticed Togepi in her arms.
"Oh, does that little cutie belong to you, too?" Zoe asked.
"He does. I had Togepi since he was an egg," Kairi said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Can I hold Togepi?" Zoe pleaded.
"I don't see why not," Kairi said. She hands the Spike Ball Pokémon to Zoe as she starts cooing.
"Oh, you're so cute," Zoe cooed.
"So how do you know them, Sora?" Tracey asked.
"Well, it's like this..." Sora started.
(Flashback)
"It was back before we left Porta Vista to head for Fushia City. He wanted us to meet Max and his two friends," Sora narrated.
Ventus is leading Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel to a house with Max with his friends and the mini-dinos.
"Hey, Max!" Ventus said. Max, Zoe, and Rex saw them. The mini-dinos turned to see them, too.
"Hey, Ven," Max greeted.
"I want you to meet Sora," Ventus said.
"Nice to meet you," Sora said.
"You're Ven's cousin? Ven told us all about you," Zoe said.
"It's great to finally meet you. My name's Rex," Rex introduced himself.
"And my name's Zoe," Zoe introduced herself.
"And I'm Max," Max introduced. "But you already know that."
"Good to meet you," Sora said. The three kids noticed Kairi with him.
"So, who's the girl?" Zoe asked.
"My name's Kairi," Kairi introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you, Kairi," Zoe said with a smile. She sees Angel with her. "Oh, and who's this little cutie?"
"This is Angel. She's my Eevee," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Oh, Angel is such a cute name," Zoe cooed, petting her. Paris ran over to her, getting Sora and Kairi's attention.
"Hey, what's that?" Sora asked
"Uh, this is Paris. My, uh, pet," Zoe said.
"Paris is a dinosaur," Ventus said. Sora and Kairi were surprised by that claim.
"Ven!" Zoe said.
"Hey, my dad knows about it, so I thought they should, too," Ventus said.
"Seriously?" Sora asked.
"Well, it is true. Paris is a parasaurolophus. And this is Ace. He's a carnitaurus," Rex said.
"And this is Chomp. He's a triceratops," Max said. Sora smiled at Chomp when he sets his attention on him.
"Chomp, huh? That's a cool name," Sora said. Chomp chomps on Sora's hand, making him wince from the bite. "I can see why you named him that."
"No, Chomp, don't do that! Let him go!" Max said Chomp lets go of Sora's hand. "Sorry about that, Sora. He does the same thing to me."
"No harm done," Sora said, rubbing his hand. Max looked at Pikachu and he smiled.
"So this is your Pikachu," Max said.
"Yeah. Pikachu's my partner. And my first Pokémon," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Chomp approached the Mouse Pokémon and sniffed him. Pikachu felt nervous. Chomp has taken a liking to Pikachu, and vice versa.
"Pikachu made a new friend," Kairi said.
"And so did Angel," Zoe said. Kairi looked at Angel and Paris as they hit it off real well. Ace approached Pikachu and licked him.
Max invited Sora and Kairi to come inside as Max's mother, being a woman with brown hair and violet eyes stepped outside. She wore a dark yellow vest over a light yellow blouse and blue pants with dark blue shoes and wore a green jewel necklace.
"I see you have some friends over, Max," Max's mother said.
"Mom, this is Sora, Ven's cousin, and the girl's Kairi," Max introduced.
"Good to meet you, ma'am," Sora said.
"Same to you, Max. Would your new friends like a snack?" Max's mother offered.
"That'll be great, mom," Max said.
Max's mom left for the kitchen to prepare a snack for them as Sora and Kairi just looked at him funny.
"She doesn't seem to know about Chomp and the other two, does she?" Sora asked.
"Well, she doesn't know that they're really dinosaurs. She can be quite clueless sometimes," Max said. He chuckled nervously.
"Does anyone else know?" Kairi asked.
"Just Max's dad, Rex's dad, my parents, and my sister, along with Ven, Terra, Aqua, and their families," Zoe said.
"I think I get a thing about secrets," Sora said.
"What do you mean, Sora?" Max asked. Sora held out his hand to show them. He summoned his Keyblade, shocking Max, Zoe, and Rex.
"What is that?" Rex asked.
"It looks like a key," Zoe said.
"It's the Keyblade," Kairi said.
"Keyblade?" Max asked.
"Yeah, and I was chosen by it," Sora said as he dismissed it just in time for Max's mother to step out with snacks ready.
(Flashback ends)
"They shared with us about the dinosaurs and about the Alpha Gang, just when we shared with them about the Heartless and Team Rocket," Sora concluded.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Ven, Terra, and Aqua even told us about what happened to you, Sora," Zoe said. Sora looked at the D-Team. It was obvious they knew about when Sora himself turned into a Heartless. "It was quite a shock to hear you did what you did to save Kairi. But it was romantic." Kairi placed her hand on his shoulder.
"And they told us about how she saved you, too," Max said.
"Just about anything is possible, right?" Rex asked.
"Yeah, and I'm living proof," Sora said.
"But I don't think we should be celebrating just yet, because we might have a major fight on our hands. The Heartless might strike again," Ash said.
"Ash is right. We gotta be ready for anything," Sora said.
Sora's team has joined up with the D-Team, so what nasty surprises could be coming their way? Well, just wait and see when we continue on.
