/hello everyone. I'm gonna try and take a shot at a YuGiOh Arc V story, it probably won't go far, and will probably be lacking in quality but I'm willing to try. I'mespecially doing this as I keep seeing Arc V stories follow the same format, so I'm doing somethingdifferent, mostly.\
Chapter 1: Arrival:
A Young boy, looking to be 14 years old slowly opens his eyes. He starts feeling around for something when he pauses.
'Wait a sec. they're on my face.'
The boy feels his face and finds what he was looking for.
'Why did I sleep with my glasses on?' He thought to himself.
The boy then noticed a few even stranger things. He felt shorter, and took notice of the park he was in.
He walked up to a fountain and looked at his reflection. He was shocked to see that he was younger than he should be.
'I look like I'm 14. How!? I'm supposed to be 17!' He thought.
He then noticed a peculiar device on his left arm.
'Is this a power vision duel disk?'
The duel disk in question looked just like Yugi's DSOD duel disk, only blue like Kaiba's.
The boy then felt something in his right pocket. Reaching his hand in, he felt some paper. Taking it out, it was a note.
"Welcome to Arc-V. You've been selected to live in this world, weather or not you get involved with the plot is up to you. Just note: you have access to nearly any card you can think of, other than links and most pendulums. Just say: Catalog."
The boy looked up from the note. "Catalog." He said outloud.
Suddenly, a card catalog that looks just like the catalog for the deck builder in the game YuGiOh Omega appeared.
"Woah." The boy said. "Close." Then catalog then disappeared.
He then looked at his face waist and saw that he had not one, but 10 deck boxes on his waist.
With wide eyes, he looks at the words at the top of the boxes: Timelord, Blue-Eyes, Crystal Beast, Dark World, Illusion, Meklord, Sacred Beast, Stardust, Yubel, and Shining Sarcophagus.
'These are the decks I use on Omega! Although I'm missing a few, but it makes sense to why. My Borrel, Code Talker, and Salamgreat decks are link based, my Phantom Knights and Predaplant decks are used by two main characters, and my Z-arc deck... yeah.'
Turning on his duel disk a holographic screen appeared, he noticed a few things, he saw information about himself. He noticed in the name section it read: Osrelios.
'I guess I'm using a new name in this world. I'll go by Oz to keep it short.' The now named Oz thought to himself. 'Also holo screens, I remember seeing holographic screens show up in front of Yugi in the movie but I'm not sure if that was 'cause of the duel disk or the Kaiba Dome...'
Oz then started to look through his decks, looking at his Timelord deck he noticed a few key detail.
'Most of my Ra support is gone... what in the!? Why do I have the Anime version of Ra!?'
Truth be told, he was staring at the most broken card in the whole game: Anime version Ra.
'This is crazy. I've got a real God card what next-'
Stoping his train of thought he noticed that he still had his Relinquished Anima in his extra deck... as an XYZ monster.
'Okay... rank 1, makes sense. Summoning conditions: 1 level 1? How does that make sense? It became an XYZ but its summoning requirements stay the same.'
He then noticed a blank card in his extra deck. 'Geomathmec Final Sigma is replaced with a blank synchro card... unfortunate, that was a really strong monster, but I guess it makes sense. Although it's strange how I don't have any Cyberse cards, but I do have my Illusion deck... Wait as sec!'
Oz then noticed that the singular number monster in his deck had something changed.
'Why does XX have the number clause? It wasn't even in the Zexal Anime.'
Getting curious about the rest of his deck, he looks at his Timelords and sees that their battle effects trigger instantly.
'So my Timelords are a mix between IRL and Anime... this deck of mine has become extremely over powered.'
Putting that deck away, he turned to his Sacred Beast deck, curious.
'Why am I not surprised?' Oz thought.
In the deck: all three Anime versions of the Sacred Beasts, meaning that they are divine attribute Divine-Beasts.
'That seriously messes up my Phantasmal Summoning beast... never mind. Its effect was changed to allow for the summon of any level 10 or higher card as long as it has equal atk and defense. I better save these cards for emergencies only. Especially with Anime Armityle.'
Putting the deck away, he remembered the wording on the note: most pendulums.
Taking out his Crystal Beast deck, he looked through and found his two copies of Crystal Keeper and Crystal Master.
'So I still have some pendulums.'
Having filled his curiosity about his cards for the moment, he then decided that he needed to figure out his living situation.
'Maybe if I get into LDS, I can get myself an apartment, the company basically owns the city. But how to get in...'
Osrelios then looked back down at his pendulum cards, and then his Illusion deck.
"Perfect."
Having walked around Miami City for about an hour, Oz finally found himself at the LDS building.
He walked in and went to the closest reception desk he could find, which took a bit of searching.
He walked up to the worker at the desk. The worker looked up.
"Hi. I'd like to speak with the LDS president please?" Oz asked.
"I'm sorry but the President is busy. If you want to schedule an-"
Before the worker could finish, Oz held out his pendulum cards and his Illusion monsters.
The worker then reacted to their earpiece going off.
After a moment, the worker turned to Oz. "The president will see you. Take the elevator to the top floor."
Oz nodded. "Thank you."
Osrelios then walked over to the elevator and hit the button for the top floor. After a few minutes of waiting, the elevator stopped and Oz got off.
Oz then walked to the large set of doors and knocked.
After a few seconds he heard: "Come in."
Oz walked in and saw the LDS President himself: Declan Akaba. Someone who should be younger than Oz if not for the strange age down he went through, making him physically 2 years younger than Declan.
Declan acknowledged him. "So... you possess not only pendulum cards, but also a monster type never seen before. Just who are you?"
"My name is Osrelios, but I go by Oz for short. I'm a duelist sent from outside the 4 dimensions to help with your fight against your father."
"Outside the 4 dimensions?" Declan asked.
"I'm from another world you could say, one where pendulums exist and so does a brand new monster type."
Declan took a moment to process the information.
"You say you are here to help? What is the catch?"
"I have a very simple demand. I am in another world, different from my own. I'd like to join your Duel School so I'm not to far when you need me. I'd also like housing." Oz explained.
"That can be arranged. But before you officially join, I'd like to see your skills in action. I'll arrange a duel for you."
"Yes sir." Oz answered.
Later on a duel field, Oz was standing across from his opponent, who was none other than Silvio.
"Duel!" Both duelists shout.
"I'll start!" Oz exclaimed.
Oz LP: 4000 hand: 5
Silvio LP: 4000 hand: 5
Looking through his hand, he decided a simple strategy.
"I'll set one monster and two cards, and end my turn."
"My turn!" Silvio shouted.
"Since you control 2 set cards, I can summon Escher the Frost Vassal." Silvio declared.
Escher the Frost Vassal: atk: 800
"Looks like your incompetence to do a real play left me with an advantage." Silvio boasted.
Oz rolled his eyes.
"Now I tribute Escher to summon Mobius the Frost Monarch!"
Mobius appeared, causing Oz to look at it mesmerized for a second. It was amazing to see the monsters for real.
Mobius the Frost Monarch: Atk: 2400
Snapping back to reality, he heard Silvio declare his next move.
"I use Mobius' effect to destroy your face downs!"
Oz' face downs were destroyed by a cold wind.
"Now Mobius, attack his face down monster!"
Mobius charged and the set monster flipped up to reveal:
"I activate the flip effect of the Illusion monster: MokoMoko!" Oz declared.
Mokomoko: Def: 300
"When flipped face up, I draw a card."
"Draw a hundred, it won't matter. Mobius is stronger." Silvio said.
Mobius then hit MokoMoko and caused it to fly back. MokoMoko then got back up.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but MokoMoko is an Illusion monster, and all Illusion monsters share an effect. That effect is that when they battle, neither monster is destroyed." Oz calmly explained.
"What!" Silvio exclaimed. "I end my turn!" Silvio declared, annoyed.
"My turn, draw!" Oz exclaimed.
Oz LP: 4000 hand: 4
Silvio LP: 4000 hand: 4
"If all your going to play is a single 2400 atk monster, I'll be winning this easy." Oz declared.
"What did you say?!" Silvio shouted.
"I activate the effect of Nightmare Apprentice from my hand, by discarding 1 card, she can summon herself from my hand."
Nightmare Apprentice then appeared.
Nightmare Apprentice: atk: 2000
"Now I activate Monster Reborn to revive the monster I just discarded: Nightmare Magician!"
Nightmare Magician then appeared and gave a bow.
Nightmare Magician: atk: 2500
Silvio looked a bit intimidated by Oz' display of dueling, but then he realized something.
"This duel will end in my favor." He declared.
"Oh? And how so?" Oz asked.
"Your Illusion monsters make it so neither monster is destroyed when they battle, meaning that you can only deal me 100 damage, why I can continuously deal you 400."
"Good point. But you didn't factor in one crucial detail."
"And that is?"
"My monster's effects! Now Nightmare Magician attack! Nightmare Magic!"
Nightmare Magician shot out a dark bolt of magic that surrounded Mobius.
Silvio LP: 3900
"Now my Magician's effect activates! When he successfully battles, I gain control over the monster he battled!" Oz explained.
"What!?" Silvio cried out.
The dark magic further surrounded Mobius before it swallowed him whole.
Mobius then appeared on Osrelios' field.
"Now, Mobius and Nightmare Apprentice attack you directly!"
"Wait, wait, wait!" Silvio cried out as the two monsters attacked him.
Silvio LP: 0
Oz then deactivated his duel disk and put his Illusion deck back in its deck box.
Oz heard clapping and turned to see Declan walking over.
"Congratulations on your victory. I have arranged for your enrollment into LDS, and for an apartment in one of the various Leo Corporation's apartment complexes. Just as promised."
"Thank you sir. Also here." Oz said as he threw two cards at Declan, who caught them perfectly.
Declan looked at the cards and was surprised to see that they were a copy of Crystal Keeper and Crystal Master.
"I do expect them back eventually, but for now, I believe your scientists would have a much better time creating pendulum cards by using a real one or two as a base." Oz explained.
"... I see. In that case, I'll make sure that they are given great care."
"One final thing." Oz spoke up.
"Yes?" Declan asked.
"I'd like to make one last request. I'd like for some of the first few pendulum cards that Leo Corp makes to be a request for me."
"And what kind of cards would you like them to be?" Declan asked.
"Since I plan on facing off against the supposed creator of pendulums, I'd like to have a pair of pendulums that would really send a message to him that he's not the only pendulum user. I'd like to request two Kuriboh Pendulum cards to be made that are also Performapal monsters, and for their scales: 1 and 8."
Declan regarded his words for a second before giving off a small chuckle. "I see. That would certainly send the biggest message to Yuya Sakaki. Very well. Now for your apartment, I've sent it's coordinates to your Duel Disk. Have a nice day and see you for classes tomorrow." Declan said as he walked off.
Once Declan did, Silvio walked up to him. "Did you just give him pendulum cards!?"
"I wouldn't use 'give', I'd say 'borrow'."
"... do you have any more that you could give me?" Silvio asked.
'Desperate much?' "I do have two more, but I doubt you'd be able to do anything with a scale that only allows for the summon of levels 3 and 4. Especially with your monarch deck."
Silvio then looked down dejected.
Oz then started to walk away, pulling up a map on his duel disk, following it to get to his new apartment.
Declan walked into his office, there he saw his personal assistant: Claude.
"What was the readings on his monsters?" Declan asked.
"Nothing too crazy, but higher than normal." Claude responded.
"As to be expected. They are apart of a monster type that has never been seen before." Declan stated.
"Do you trust him sir?" Claude asked.
"I watched his duel myself, I could detect no hint of deception in him. That is enough to accept his help." Declan explained.
Osrelios walked into his new apartment, looking around, he could see that it was comfortable.
Setting his stuff down, he took a look at his duel disk to see that he had a link to a bank account.
Taping the holo screen, a sign in screen appears. The screen was in a facial recognition scanner. Which instantly scanned Oz' face and brought him into his bank account.
'If Yuya has something locked behind facial recognition, does that mean the other 3 can get into it as well? I know they are 4 different people, but they do have the same face.'
Focusing back on his original train of thought. He noticed the account had a lot of money.
'At least I don't have to worry about expenses.'
Osrelios then felt around in his pockets and found a debit card, being linked to his account.
'I should go shopping.'
With that, Oz left his apartment and went to find the closest mall.
A few hours later, he gets back with a few bags in hand, containing clothing and food.
Using his duel disk to look up recipes, he cooks himself dinner.
Once he was done, and he ate, he spent time looking through the catalog, and found out he can select a card and obtain a physical copy of it, a skill that will be useful for deck editing.
Eventually Oz falls asleep
Mindscape:
Oz looks around, and sees nothing but black. Feeling a presence, he turns around, only to be met with a surprise.
The Winged Dragon of Ra was there in front of him.
Osrelios then immediately bows.
"Rise child." Ra commanded.
Oz complied.
"I do not know who sent you to this world, but I was sent along side you as to help you in your journey."
"Really?" Oz asked.
"Yes. Considering that you have Numbers with you, I will act as the catalyst for your control over them, and the reason they will never gain control over you."
"You can do that?" Oz asked.
"I am a god, child. Demanding the Numbers to listen to you and not try to control you is simple to me."
"Yeah I guess that makes sense."
"I have also come to inform you that the 3 Sacred Beasts will fight by your side without issue."
"Really? But aren't the real Sacred Beasts supposed to be very malicious and hard to control?"
"That might have been true in the past, but ever since the 4 of us looked through your memories and saw how much you appreciate them, and the dedication you put into a deck revolving around them has made them want to try anew."
"That's some... heavy expectations placed on me huh? I'll try my best!" Oz declared.
"Good. Now until next time we need to speak, chosen duelist."
With that, Osrelios then started to completely go into unconsciousness.
