Another adventure! I don't own Transformers!

Fun and Games

Autumn watched her mom lead her aunt and Uncle walk through the house and to the back yard.

"Come on!" Hunter whined as he walked out onto the patio. "Skylar is staying with us for 8 days!"

"Why didn't mom tell us earlier?" Autumn asked.

"I don't know. But Uncle Mark and Aunt Brooklyn are going on a cruise."

"Is your cousin annoying?" Ironhide asked.

"She's soooo annoying." Autumn said. She and her brother stopped talking about Skylar when her mom, her uncle, aunt and cousin stepped out on the patio.

Skylar was 6 years old. She annoyed Autumn and her brother to no end. Skylar would get them both in trouble, would break things, and scream if she was told no. The little girl was short, with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes.

"You guys redid the patio? It looks good." Uncle Mark said, looking around the newly redone patio before looking up at the two autobots. "Hey Ironhide, Ratchet."

The two Cybertronians echoed responses.

"Are you sure Skylar will be ok here?" Aunt Brooklyn fretted.

"If anything, it'll be a humbling experience for Skylar." Autumn whispered to her brother.

Her mom reassured them. "I'm sure it'll be fine."

"Thanks, Em." Uncle Mark said

"Of course. You're my brother..." Her mom said while walking her aunt and uncle back in the house to leave.

"So, what should we do?" Hunter asked, a few seconds later he got sprayed in the face. Skylar laughed. Hunter glared at her.

"You're rude." Skylar said.

Ratchet met Autumn's gaze. Autumn knew that amused expression would change by the end of the week.

The back door opened. "Can you guys watch Skylar? I need to go to the store."

"Moommm." Hunter whined.

"I don't wanna babysit her, she's wild!" Autumn pointed at her cousin.

"Please, Autumn. It'll only be for an hour. You guys could walk to the park maybe."

"Fine."

After her mom left, she glared at Skylar.

"Soooo… can we just lock her in a room in the house?" Hunter asked.

"I wish." Autumn folded her arms.

"Perhaps if we entertained her attention, she would behave." Ratchet pondered.

"I dunno." Hunter shrugged.

"Wait, where did she go?" Autumn asked looking around.

"I thought she was right here and-" Hunter said nervously. Autumn looked around for her cousin.

"If we lost her, it's your fault, Hunter!" She glared at him. "You get to tell mom."

It was about twenty minutes later; the whole backyard and house had been searched.

"We have to call mom. She's not here." Hunter said. "Or the cops, and file a missing perso-"

There was a scream from the garage. Autumn bolted in the direction of it. Once she opened it using the keypad, a horrifying sight met her eyes. A large bucket of white paint was spilled. Skylar was playing in it.

"I'm in so much trouble." Autumn whispered. Ratchet knelt down and looked in the dim garage.

"Oh." Hunter said. "Dad's gonna kill us when he gets home."

Autumn looked over at him, and slapped the side of his face.

"What did I do?" Hunter shouted.

"You said she wasn't in the garage!"

"I never did!"

"Yes, you did! You said you looked in the garage and she wasn't in here!"

Ratchet scooped Autumn up. She was slightly annoyed but didn't take her anger out on her guardian.

Her mom opened the door into the garage. Her mother's jaw dropped as she looked wide eyed at the mess in front of her.

"Uh- Hey mom." Hunter waved.

"What did the two of you do?" The shock of the huge mess had worn off. She put her hands on her hips.

"It wasn't us; it was Skylar." Autumn muttered.

Skylar laughed and rubbed her hand in the puddle of paint where she sat.

Her mom shook her head. "Hunter, please carry in the groceries. Autumn, get your cousin in the house." The two siblings complied begrudgingly. Autumn slammed the door as Skylar just barely got into the house.

Ratchet watched the two siblings leave. He looked over at Ironhide.

"She seems like a handful." Ironhide growled. "And I thought Autumn and Hunter were hyper."

Hunter was finished before Autumn and her mother were and came outside.

"Skylar is in so much trouble right now!" Hunter laughed.

"Is your cousin always this wild?" Ironhide asked.

"You guys haven't seen anything yet."

"Like what?" Ratchet asked.

Autumn walked out the door. Ratchet met her gaze. Autumn looked very mad.

"Mom is meeting dad for lunch, so we have to watch Skylar again. And Mom said that if anything like what just happened happens again, then dad's gonna come home from work early." Autumn crossed her arms and glared at the ground.

"Nobody wants that." Hunter said wide eyed.

"Is that bad?" Ironhide asked.

"Yeah." Hunter said. "Last time that happened- mistakes were made."

"Let's like, not do that- ever again." Autumn replied.

Whatever had happened, Ratchet concluded, it hadn't been pleasant.

Skylar walked out onto the back patio with a smirk on her face.

"When I was six, what did Savannah do to keep me busy?" Hunter asked out loud.

"Put on a show or a movie." Autumn said. "I'll get the remote."

Autumn disappeared in the house, and came back a moment later. She turned on the T.V. mounted on the wall outside.

"Blues Clues!" Skylar shouted.

Autumn put on what her cousin wanted. Ratchet could tell neither Autumn, nor Hunter wanted to do watch their cousin. Skylar jumped around and started laughing, running around the table.

Hunter looked over at his cousin. "Hey, at least she's not hiding."

Ratchet chuckled.

"Really though! If mom was home, she would have been so mad at us!"

Everyone lapsed into silence, still watching Skylar watch the kids' show. But Halfway through the episode, Skylar started crying.

"Why is she doing that?" Hunter asked.

"I don't know." Autumn said.

"That is a very annoying sound." Ironhide growled.

"Tell me about it." Autumn rolled her eyes.

"I want to go home!" Skylar whined.

"I'll go call mom." Autumn sighed, went in the house, and returned with her phone and video called her mom.

"How is it going?" Her mom answered the phone call.

"Not great." Autumn replied.

"Hey mom!" Hunter said, leaning on Autumn's shoulder.

Ratchet looked over at the phone. "She wants to go home."

"Just try to entertain her, I'll be home in a half hour."

"We put on a show for her- the one she wanted too." Hunter said.

"Just try to keep all the chaos from getting loose, please. Savannah is coming home later too."

"Whyyy, why can't she just stay at college? Please?" Autumn whined.

"She finished her senior year." Mrs. Copperhead said.

"I got to go, try to have fun, or at very least don't kick your cousin to the curb." The call was stopped. Autumn dropped her phone.

"Having 'fun' is a tall order. And just letting Skylar figure this out herself sounds great." She said, sarcasm in every word.

"I want to eat!" Skylar screamed.

"I don't know." Hunter said.

"Why did mom have to let her stay." Autumn said. Ratchet could understand why neither of the siblings had wanted her to come.

"Do all six-year-olds scream like that?" Ratchet asked.

"No. Only this one." Hunter said, glaring at Skylar.

It was about a half hour later, although it felt like it had been days, until Mrs. Copperhead got back. Inwardly, Ratchet was relieved. Once Skylar was in the house, Autumn and Hunter didn't follow.

"I think she screamed the whole time." Hunter said.

"You think?" Autumn asked. "There's no 'think' about that."

"I have the processor-ache to prove it." Ironhide growled.

"Fair point." Hunter said. "I hope we don't have to watch her more."

"She's staying for 8 days. Today is only day one. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet. It isn't even three."

It was going to be a long 8 days, Ratchet already knew.

The next morning, there was no sleep to be had. Skylar ran into Autumn's room and turned the bright lights on, before pretending to be a dog and barking. Autumn sat bolt upright, looking over at the little gremlin.

"Hahaha! I gotchu!" Skylar laughed before bolting out. Autumn rubbed her eyes, waking up.

Breakfast didn't go much better. Skylar spilt the syrup everywhere, making a sticky mess.

"Ew! Sticky!" Skylar giggled while rubbing her hands in it. The window was open, and Ratchet was just outside. Big mistake. Skylar turned around, looking for somewhere to wipe off the syrup of on. The open window seemed to present itself.

"No, Skylar! Not the window!" Mrs. Copperhead exclaimed.

When Skylar's target changed, Autumn's eyes nearly popped out of her head.

"No! No!" Autumn exclaimed.

Skylar rubbed her sticky hands vertically down the bridge of Ratchet's nose. His optics were wide as he jerked his head back. He did not look too happy, and Autumn couldn't blame him.

"Gah!"

"I knew this was a terrible Idea." Autumn pinched the bridge of her nose. "But did anyone care? Nope."

"I'll help you get the syrup off." Autumn grabbed a clean, wet sponge and went outside to help her guardian get the syrup off his face.

"Where did Ironhide go? Did he bring Hunter with him?" Autumn asked her guardian.

"I believe they decided to go get a package which couldn't be shipped from the Mail Center for your father."

"So they just left?"

"Yes. Ironhide doesn't like your cousin." Ratchet said bluntly.

"Can you blame him?" Autumn put the wet sponge on the patio table.

"Not at all." Ratchet chuckled. "I am surprised you haven't fought with her like you do with Hunter yet."

"If I could I would. But If I did, I'd get in trouble."

Autumn glanced back at the door. She really didn't want to go back inside to the chaos, so she stayed outside.
