Elena Gilbert, forever stuck as an eighteen year old due to Vampirism, was walking along the road side, leaving Mystic Falls, only with the clothes on her back, and a backpack filled with some more clothes, food, and some files on her Biological Parents. When her Brother; Jeremy Gilbert, had died, Elena not only turned off her emotions, but had hid herself away in her Adoptive Father's Office and had accidently found a hidden cabinet containing a file about her.

It turned out that Isobel and John weren't her Biological Parents, only that they were Ella's Biological Parents, and that Isobel was actually Elena's Biological Half-Aunt due to her having an Older Half-Sister, Elena Biological Mother; Leila Astra née Flemming. Leila was a Werewitch Hybrid who married a Werewolf, Caden Astra, who was a Member of the Crescent Wolf Pack of New Orleans.

If Elena knew Isobel as well as she did, despite how little she knew the Vampire before her death, Isobel had no regrets when she kidnapped Elena from her parents when she learned, most likely from a Witch, that Elena and Ella were Twin Doppelgangers, and with the Gilbert's help, they had most likely been planning to use Elena in the Ritual, instead of Ella, should Klaus ever find out about her and Ella.

From the files, Elena learned that she was Half-Witch(Untapped), Half-Werewolf(Untriggered), before she became a Vampire, but was surprised to find that she had not lost her untapped Magic as a Witch or a Werewolf, like her Birth Mother had when she triggered her Curse, because when Elena made her first kill, during the time she turned off her Humanity, she Triggered her Curse, and by doing that, she had awoken her Magic.

However, this wasn't the reason why she was leaving Mystic Falls.

No, she was leaving Mystic Falls because Damon, Bonnie, and Ella had done something unforgivable.

Bonnie had done a Fertility Spell on her and now she was pregnant... With Elijah's child.

They did this because they believed that Elena would lose the baby due to her Vampirism, since it wasn't possible for Vampires to have kids, and it would help in turning on her Humanity, and they told her as such. Leaning about the fact that she was pregnant did help her turn on her Humanity, but because they didn't know that Elena was now a very powerful Creature, they didn't know that she wouldn't lose the baby.

So, now Elena was leaving Mystic Falls to find out what happened to her Biological Family and find her Pack, and the only other thing she had as a means to find her Family, other then the File, which stated the last place her Parents had been, was in New Orleans, was the Birthmark, which was of a Crescent Moon with a Star, on her left shoulder blade.

Elena stopped walking when a car pulled up beside her and her eyes narrowed as she tensed, thinking that it might be Ella, or even Bonnie, since she didn't recognise the car, but she could tell that the person inside was a dark haired girl. The girl in question got out of the car and Elena relaxed, realising that the girl was just that. A random girl. And said girl was looking at her in worry and confusion.

"Hey, you going somewhere?"The girl asked."Because if so, there's a town back that way."She added, gesturing back in the direction of Mystic Falls.

"Uh, actually, I'm leaving Mystic Falls."The girl stared at her with pursed lips."I'm not running away if that's what you're thinking. I'm Eighteen."Elena added quickly.

"Oh."The girl said."Need a ride to the next town over?"She asked, looking sincere.

"No, thank you though. I'm good."Elena said, shifting her backpack slightly.

"Where you heading?"The girl asked."Maybe I could give you a lift."She added at the suspicious look Elena gave her.

"New Orleans."Elena admitted."And before you say anything, yes, I know it's far away, but I was going to get on a bus in the next town over and go from there."

"Why didn't you get on a bus from Mystic Falls?"The girl asked, looking confused.

"My Sister and her friends wouldn't be able track me."Elena grumbled.

"So you are running away."The girl stated, looking amused.

"I guess when you look at it that way, then yeah."Elena shrugged.

"I can give you a lift to New Orleans. I mean, I'm going there myself."The girl explained.

"We don't even know each other."Elena stated, frowning at the older girl."For all we know, one of us could be a serial killer."

"Right. Sorry."The girl said, huffing a laugh."I'm Hayley Marshall. You?"

"Elena Gilbert."

"Oh, so you're the Doppelganger who had willingly turned off her emotions."Elena's eyes widened."Yeah, I'm a Werewolf and I was a friend of Tyler Lockwood's."

"Oh."Was all that Elena could say.

"I can still give you that ride. I mean, from what I heard, Klaus wanted the Cure so either you or your Sister could become Human again and he'd make more Hybrids."Hayley said, frowning."Come on hop in."She said, getting back in the car.

Blinking rapidly, Elena quickly got in."So, why are you going to New Orleans?"Elena asked Hayley.

"To look for my Family."Elena raised an eyebrow at her."I was Adopted by a Human Couple and they kicked me out when I turned into a Werewolf, and that's when I realised that I was Adopted."Hayley said cryptically."Why are you going to New Orleans, Elena?"

"I found some files about myself."Hayley looked at her questionably."I'm sure you must have heard from Tyler that Ella and I were adopted by our Father's Older Brother and his Wife."Hayley nodded in confirmation."Well, it turns out, John Gilbert and Isobel Flemming aren't even my Birth Parents. Isobel is actually my Half-Aunt, who kidnapped me so that I would be used in the Ritual instead of Ella."

"Holy shit."Hayley exclaimed.

"Yeah."Elena agreed."Turns out my Birth Mother; Leila, was a Werewitch Hybrid who married my Father, who was a Werewolf, and they had me."

"And you think that they're in New Orleans?"Hayley asked sharply, eyes narrowed in thought."Wait, your Father was a Werewolf and your Mother was Witch? But you're a Vampire, so shouldn't you be, you know, dead-dead."

"Yeah, well, I'm also a Petrova Doppelganger, so there's that. I think my Blood protected me from dying a second time round."Elena said as her eyes suddenly flashed.

"You're a Hybrid."Hayley realised, dumbfounded.

"More like Tribrid."Elena corrected her and Hayley raised an eyebrow."I can also do Magic."Elena stated and Hayley looked at her in amazement.

"That's so... wow..."Was all that Hayley was able to say, looking as if she had her mind blown away.

"You don't think I'm some freak of nature?"Elena asked weakly and Hayley frowned.

"I'm not a Witch, so I don't give a damn about that whole Vampires are abominations and upset the Balance of Nature crap."Hayley said with a shrug of her shoulders and Elena relaxed."So, about your Humanity?"The older brunette asked as gently as possible.

"It's not off, so no need to worry."Elena reassured her."The reason why my Humanity is back on is because they got me pregnant through a Spell and they only think that since I am a Vampire, the baby will die before it's born."Elena explained to the older brunette.

"Huh... Wow, and I thought I had problems."They shared a laugh."Don't worry, Elena, I won't let anything happen to you while we're on our way to New Orleans."Hayley promised her.

"Thanks, Hayley."Elena said, smiling shyly at the older brunette.
