"Sorry we can't come give you a tour of the archipelago guys, we need to clean up our stall before we do anything else."
"Have fun for us though!"
These were the words Hatchi and Caime gave the Straw Hats as they sailed away from the takoyaki stall with promises to visit them later. Now docked on the archipelago proper and left to their own devices, the crew came together to decide what to do.
"Alright everyone, now that we're here we nee-"
"YAHOOOOO!"
Or at least, Nami attempted to bring everyone together to plan, but Luffy had other ideas as he leapt off the ship and began running the moment they finished docking. Turning to scream at her captian to get back, Nami was silenced by a hand on her shoulder.
"Let him go Nami." Usopp said. "It's not like you can stop him."
Taking one last look at Luffy disappearing into the crowds, Nami sighed before turning to the rest of the crew.
"Yeah, I know. I'm just worried that idiot will get us in trouble before we can get anything done."
"I wouldn't worry about that Nami." Robin spoke up. "From what I've heard, Sabody archipelago is primarily a tourist destination and amusement park, and one that the Marines have little presence on unless ususally. No doubt the captain will get too distracted by everything to get in any real trouble."
"OW! Besides, Luffy bro knows how to stay out of trouble when everything's calm. Let him go do his thing." Franky cried out next.
"An amusement park huh?" Nami pondered for a moment before stepping off the ship herself and turning to everyone still on board.
"Alright, here's the plan everyone! Things have been pretty crazy for us for a while, and I can barely remember the last time we actually got time to relax on an island when half of us weren't half dead after a fight. Someone needs to go buy up all our supplies we need, but besides that everyone is free to do whatever they want. This is a tourist spot, so let's take advantage of that."
Smiles grew over the crew's faces as they excitedly began following Nami's lead and jumping off the ship.
"YOHOHOHO! I remember hearing great things about this place back when I was alive, so I can't wait to see if the stories have held up after all these years." Brook said as he calmly walked deeper into the archipelago.
"Heh, we're right above fish man island apparently, so I wonder if I can't meet any fishman shipwrights like Tom." Franky declared as he began walking down the shore.
"You don't have to worry about the supplies Nami-swan, I can take care of it." Sanji said with a bow as he headed over to a nearby information booth, followed closely by Robin.
"I believe I'll join you, I would like to see what books they have here while we grab our supplies."
"He he he, I've never been to an amusement park before. I wonder what it's like? Maybe I'll find some new kinds of cotton candy!" Chopper said happily, transforming into his walk point once he was off the ship and heading towards the tallest things he could see.
"Be careful everyone, we still don't know what kind of people could be on this island so try and avoid anyone who seems dangerous." Usopp called out to everyone as he too walked over to the information booth.
The last one to step off the ship was Zoro, only for Nami to stop him in place.
"Oh no, you're staying right here."
"Huh!? Why am I the only one staying behind?"
"Because, someone needs to guard the ship, and you're strong enough to do it by yourself. Not to mention that with your sense of direction, if you go out on your own then we probably won't find you for months! Now get back on there."
Zoro glared at Nami for a moment, but Nami glared right back and soon enough Zoro was back on the ship grumbling under his breath. With that settled, Nami put on a smile before heading out to explore herself. And just like that, the crew was headed off on each their own adventure, the sights of Sabody theirs for the taking.
"Man, this place is cool!"
Over deeper in the archipelago, Luffy was excitedly running through the crowds and taking in all the sights. As he ran, he began noticing all the bubbles floating up from the ground as well as being used by the people for all sorts of things.
"Wow, those bubbles are weird. Hey Nami, what do you think those bubbles are?"
Luffy turned to face his crew, only to realize they weren't behind him.
"Oh. Shishishi, woops, I guess I ran off before they were able to catch up huh. I wonder if I should go back and make sure they're ok… Naw, they'll be fine. Hachi and Camie said that the only things to worry about on the island are the dragon guys, and those guys are just dumb jerks."
*GRUMBLE*
Luffy doubled over grabbed his stomach with a pained expression.
"Ohhh, I wish I remembered to get Sanji to make me a lunch though."
"Hey kid, you look pretty hungry."
Looking up towards the voice, Luffy saw an unfamiliar man looking at him. The man had dark blue hair and a loose dark red bandana tied around his forehead, wearing a brown leather jacket and pants with gold trim, as well as had a sword at his hip.
"There's a restaurant over that way called the 'Broken Gold Spoon' a little ways down that way." The man said while jabbing a thumb behind him. "Come on, I'll treat you to something."
"Really?" Luffy asked excitedly, and the man nodded. "Thanks. Food food food food."
Luffy began happily chanting as he walked ahead of the man to the restaurant, and the man could only shake his head in amusement.
"The kid didn't even ask for my name before accepting."
He then pulled out a wanted poster from his pocket, one with the name 'Monkey D Luffy' on it, and his smile turned sinister.
"He's even more gullible than the rumors said. This will be an easy mark."
"Man, this place has some good grub. Way better than I expected."
"Definitely, it's probably a lot better than the stuff you got at your old job, eh captain."
X-Drake shot a scowl at the crew member who was currently nudging at him. Fortunately, his first mate Athor stepped in before he had to do anything.
"Hey, back down Planch, you know the captain doesn't like talking about his past. You were told his past so you knew what you were getting into when you joined the crew, not so you could hold it over him."
"R-right." The man said, paling slightly. "Sorry captain."
X-Drake simply gave him a nod before going back to his food.
"Food food food food."
"Hey, slow down kid, and quiet down too. You don't want to make a scene."
Everyone's conversations were interrupted as a loud voice entered the restaurant, and everyone turned to see a cheerful looking kid in a red shirt and a straw hat enter, followed closely by a rough looking man with blue hair and a brown leather jacket. The pair just sat down at the bar and began ordering some food, so the rest of the people in the restaurant ignored them and went back to their own conversations.
"Holy crap, is that who I think it is?" the crew's second mate, Porthat, harshly whispered to the rest of the crew.
"Huh, what do you mean?" Winter asked.
"That kid that just showed up, that's Monkey D Luffy!" Porthat said as he pulled a wanted poster out on the table.
"Monkey D Luffy? What's so special about him?" the third mate Aramel asked.
"Wait." Compt cut in. "Isn't that the kid that tried to play Emperor and take the entire East Blue as his territory?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Aramel asked.
"What? No. The kid came from the east, but he never took territory there." Porthat followed up.
"Yeah, because he couldn't." Compt replied. "The kid went around acting like he was an Emperor and took out all the big names in the east, but when he met Captain Smoker at Log Town the marine ran him out into the Grand Line. The captain spooked him so bad that he's been trying to run as far away from him as possible ever since."
While most of the crew looked interested, Porthat just scoffed.
"Nice story, but you're as far off as can be." He said, drawing the looks of the rest of the table.
"From what I've heard, he's a bounty hunter that accidentally pissed the marines off. His 'first mate' is the most infamous bounty hunter in the east, so it only makes sense. He got that ass Morgan pissed at him while he was trying to collect a bounty so they got into a fight, then he decided to collect a bunch of the biggest bounties in the east and bring them to Log Town instead. But, because of what Morgan said, Smoker was forced to try and arrest him, so Straw Hat ran out into the Grand Line hoping to get away from all that."
"Maybe." Winter said. "But I heard he destroyed Enies Lobby, why would he do that if he were a bounty hunter?"
"Typical false reporting and marine incompetence." Porthat said with a wave. "The crew went there to try get their crimes cleared and turn in some more bounties, but the marines messed up and destroyed their own island while they were there. They pinned it on them so they wouldn't lose as much face as they would have if they told the truth."
Most of the crew nodded at this, maybe not agreeing with the theory, but finding it belivable.
"You know what I heard?" Artagnon finally spoke up, drawing everyone's attention. "I heard he's a marine spy."
The whole crew turned to the newest member curiously. Everyone was now very invested in the mystery that was this new straw hatted captain, and were all eager to hear another idea of who he could be. X-Drake himself did not react visibly when he heard the newest theory, but he began paying much closer attention as his crew talked.
"What, no way." Compt said with a scoff. "No way a kid like that would be a part of the marines."
"Maybe, maybe not. Think about it though." Artagnon said as he leaned into the table. "This kid shows up out of nowhere, is super strong, and the first thing he does is take out Axe Hand Morgan, the second strongest Marine permanently stationed in the East. Seems like a pretty piratey thing to do right? Except Morgan's infamously famous for having an ego nearly on the level of a Celestial Dragon, and now that he's been taken out by some no name kid, the higher ups have an excuse to get rid him. He then goes on to take down every major pirate in the East, making it easy for the Marines to go in and clean them all up after him, before heading into the Grand Line to clean it up."
"Alright, I see where you're coming from." Porthat said. "But what about what happened with Captain Smoker, or Enies Lobby?"
"Simple, think about EVERYTHING that happened with Smoker. He chases the Straw Hats to Alabasta, supposedly to hunt them down. While he's there 'hunting' them, he finds out that Crocodile was doing some dirty stuff and gets him arrested. Sound suspicious? That's because Luffy here was ordered to investigate Crocodile because the Marines were suspicious of him, and Smoker was there to get the glory afterwards. What happened in Log Town was all a setup. This Luffy kid was obviously the one who took down Crocodile because, honestly, as strong as he is, Smoker is nowhere near Croc's level. As for Enies lobby, simple propaganda to throw people off after they started getting suspicious. That place is nothing more than some useless ceremonial ground they don't actually use anymore anyways."
The rest of the crew looked doubtfully at their crewmate, but they were clearly coming around, so Artagnon doubled down.
"You want more proof? Recent rumors say that Gekko Moria recently had his crew dismantled, coincidentally right when the Straw Hat pirates would have been going through the Florian Triangle, which is where he normally resides. Obviously they were sent there to keep the freak in check given what happened with Crocodile. Not to mention he apparently encountered Mihawk in the East Blue, and SURVIVED. That man only lets people live when he has too, meaning the only way he could have gotten away was by flashing his Marine ID. But the most damning evidence is THIS."
He pointed a finger directly at the name on the bounty poster.
"His name, is Monkey D Luffy. Doesn't that remind you of any well-known Marine name?"
The crew looked at each other confused, trying to remember any marine with a similar name, and it was Athor that spoke first.
"Garp. Monkey D Garp. Are you trying to tell us that this kid is supposed to be related to Garp the Fist, the hero of the Marines himself?"
"It would explain things." Artagnon said with a shrug. "Like how he got so strong and came out of nowhere like he did. Not to mention that Garp is the only one with enough sway to set something as insane as this up for… I'm going to guess his grandkid?"
"He's not a Marine spy." Drake suddenly said, drawing the rest of the crew's attention.
"Oh, and what makes you so sure captain?" Artagnon asked doubtfully.
"Because, if he was a spy, he would be smart enough not to fall for something like that." Drake said as he gestured to the bar.
The crew turned to see Luffy stuffing his face with plates of food. With him distracted, the man that came in with him grabbed a drink and emptied a vial of what was clearly poison into it.
"Here kid, have a drink to help wash that all down. Don't want to get dehydrated."
"Oh! Fanks!" Luffy said through a mouthful of food as he grabbed the glass and chugged it.
"Damn, that's just sad." Winter said with a frown as she and the rest of the crew shook their heads.
"Yeah. I guess he's not a marine, or a bounty hunter. Probably not an emperor hopeful either. Nothing we can do but wait for him to go down at this point." Porthat said disappointedly.
The entire crew went back to their meal, keeping half an eye on Luffy and the man who was clearly a bounty hunter, waiting for things to come to a head. Strangely though, Luffy kept eating at a rapid pace, showing no signs of the poison affecting him. The bounty hunter grew more and more agitated as time went on and Luffy showed no signs of slowing. After 5 minutes he grabbed another drink and filled it with another 2 vials of poison and gave it to Luffy, who once again dutifully chugged it. After another 5 minutes with Luffy showing no signs of swaying he began fingering the sword tucked into his belt, and after another 10 he snapped.
"Ok, what the hell? How are you still standing?! You should be passed out already!"
"Huh? Why would I be?"
The bounty hunter didn't respond with words, instead pulling out his sword and swinging it at Luffy with a roar of anger. Luffy responded easily, standing up and catching the swing by the wrist before spinning him around, knocking him to the floor, then sitting on the bounty hunter and pinning him to the ground as his sword clattered uselessly out of reach. Luffy stared blankly into the man's eyes, the bounty hunter growing more and more scared as Luffy said nothing. Suddenly Luffy's arm stretched off to the side, and the hunter closed his eyes in preparation for the inevitable.
"You forgot to eat your food."
Opening his eyes, the hunter was surprised to see the plate of food he'd ordered for himself right in front of his face, Luffy's smiling face behind it.
"Thanks for the food, guy. I'll see you around some time." Luffy said as he stood up and placed the plate on the hunter's lap before walking out of the restaurant.
The whole bar was silent for a moment as the bounty hunter looked at the plate of food in front of him. Slowly, he grabbed the fork on the plate and fearfully took a bite of the food. His eyes widened as he realized the food wasn't poisoned, and so he got back up onto the table and continued eating with a far off look on his face.
"Well, that happened." Aramel said with a surprised expression. "Guess he isn't a bounty hunter or marine spy or whatever, just lucky."
"That kid's an idiot, that's what he is." Drake said as he abruptly stood up in his chair.
"Oh boy." Winter said as the crew looked at Drake. "Looks like the Captain's rookie rage is acting up."
"Should we wait here for you sir?" Athor asked. "Or will you take long enough that we should just wait at the ship."
"The ship." Drake said as he checked his weapons. "I won't need to take long for the kid, but he's apparently got a crew that I'll need to deal with as well, which will probably take longer."
"Very well Captain."
"Hey, you!"
Outside the restaurant, Luffy had found a quiet spot away from the market and all the people to relax, only for X-Drake to follow him.
"Huh? Me?" Luffy asked the approaching captain.
"Yes you! Do you have any idea what just happened in that restaurant back there?"
"Uhhh, no? Not really. What are you talking about?"
"Back in the 'Broken Golden Spoon', you came in with someone who paid for your meal."
"Oh yeah, that guy was pretty nice. Did he pay for your food too?"
X-Drake scowled at Luffy.
"No, because I'm not an idiot. Do you have any idea what he was trying to do?"
"Huh? He was just feeding me."
"He was trying to poison you, you idiot! He's a bounty hunter."
Luffy shook his head.
"It wasn't his fault that the drinks tasted weird, it was just bad luck they were a bit bad. He was just a nice guy who wanted to give me food because I was hungry."
"HE ATTACKED YOU!" Drake screamed in frustration, but Luffy just chuckled.
"Shishishi, he's the kinda guy that won't eat till everyone else is done. He was just getting impatient with me for taking too long to finish and he was getting hungry."
Drake glared at Luffy, now officially angry at him with how oblivious he seemed. Pulling out his sword, Drake swung the flat of the blade at Luffy's head. To his surprise Luffy dodged it easily, but this did not deter him.
"Do you think this is a game, that being a pirate is all about fun and adventure?!"
Luffy raised an eyebrow.
"Are you an idiot? I know it's not a just a game, but fun and adventure is exactly what being a pirate is about."
Drake held back a snarl as he instead took a calming breath before unsheathing his axe.
"You have no idea what being a pirate means, but It's clear you're too stupid to understand. It seems I'm going to have to beat you down before you start listening."
X-Drake charged in swinging his axe at Luffy, but the rubber man just dodged back smiling. X-Drake continued relentlessly, sending swing after swing at Luffy without pause, but he just kept dodging, ducking and weaving around all the strikes. Realizing he wasn't getting anywhere, X-Drake changed things up.
Throwing a particularly heavy swing that forced Luffy to dodge back, X-Drake suddenly transformed into an allosaurus, biting into Luffy as he recovered from his dodge. Luckily for the rubber man, he managed to catch X-Drake's jaw just in time to keep from getting crushed. X-Drake raised his head high in the air and swung Luffy side to side as he tried to bite down, but no dice. Luffy quickly managed to overpower X-Drake's jaws and jump out and onto the side of a tree.
"SO COOL! You can turn into a dinosaur!?" Luffy said with stars in his eyes. X-Drake was not impressed.
"Do you have any sense of seriousness kid!? This is a fight, so fight!"
Luffy raised an eyebrow at X-Drake before smirking.
"Alright then." Luffy said calmly before jumping off the tree.
"Gum Gum Spear!"
Luffy speared down both of his feet at X-Drake's head, but he was quick to dodge back out of the way, causing Luffy's feet to dig into the dirt.
"Gum Gum Guillotine!"
Using said feet, Luffy then pulled himself down towards the ground with his arm outstretched, causing said arm to slam right on the top of the T-Rex and smashing him into the dirt.
"Gum Gum Whip!"
Seeing the foot swinging at him from the corner of his eye, X-Drake quickly shrunk back down to human form to duck under it. Getting back up to face Luffy, he took in the vaguely predatory smirk on the rubber man's face and got ready for a serious fight.
"I'll admit, you're a lot stronger than I expected." X-Drake said as he used the handle of his axe to block one of Luffy's punches.
"Shishishi, thanks. You're pretty strong too."
"The way you fight though, it makes me curious. Who trained you?"
X-Drake transformed once again and swung his tail at Luffy, forcing him to jump but also giving him an opening which Luffy took advantage of by throwing a rubber punch at X-Drake's face.
"Mostly I just sparred with my brothers or fought the animals in the forest. I guess gramps tried to train me, but that was mostly just the same as what I did with my brothers but harder."
"His name, is Monkey D Luffy." "Monkey D Garp. Related to Garp the Fist." "Garp's grandkid?"
'I doubt he is, but I might as well check.' X-Drake thought as he dodged the fist and went in for a charge.
"Your 'Gramps' wouldn't happened to be named Garp would he?"
"You know Gramps?!"
X-Drake tripped over his feet and landed face first in the dirt.
"Wait, your grandfather is actually the Marine hero, 'Garp the Fist'!?" X-Drake exclaimed in shock as he popped his face out of the dirt. In front of him, Luffy relaxed and let out an awkward chuckle.
"I don't really care about any of his titles or anything. I know he's a Marine, but to me he's just gramps."
'Holy Crap! The spy theory was right!' X-Drake thought in shock before popping up and saluting Luffy.
"SIR, forgive me for not properly introducing myself first! My name is SWORD Rear Admiral Diez Drake! AT YOUR SERVICE!"
Luffy stared blankly at Drake for a moment before his mind picked up on something.
"Sword? What's that?"
"Sword is a secret special Marine division where we are given special assignments that regular Marines do not have permission to go on. We take these on with the knowledge that should we find ourselves unable to complete the mission, the Marines at large will deny our very existence as part of the organization. I am currently on a deep undercover mission in which, similar to yourself, I am to become a pirate so I may go around spying on other pirate crews from their side, with the goal of eventually joining up with… the… beast… pirates…"
X-Drake slowly trailed off as he realized Luffy was still clearly confused.
"So, you're some special super spy?" He asked.
"Y-yes, and are you not?"
"Nope, but that sounds really cool!"
Luffy began talking about all sorts of cool spy things, coming up with completely insane ideas, but X-Drake wasn't listening. All he could think about was how he'd just outed himself without hesitation.
'I, I confessed who I was to a pirate. This pirate tricked me into telling.'
He shook his head hard.
'No, he didn't do anything, I tricked myself into it. It's not unheard of for a marine to be related to a pirate. I let myself get caught up in the rumors my crew mentioned and the fact that he was related to GARP of all marines to where I tricked myself into thinking he was like me.'
Finishing his thought, X-Drake got into a defensive stance.
"So, what are you going to do to me?" He asked, interrupting Luffy's rant.
"Huh?" Luffy gave X-Drake a confused look. "What do you mean."
"I just outed myself as a Marine spy, here to gain intel on the pirate crews around me for the Marines. You are an actual pirate, and a very strong and famous one at that. So I ask again, what are you going to do to me now that you know?"
"Why would I do anything to you? Besides the fight we just had, you haven't done anything to me or my friends."
"BECAUSE I'M A MARINE!" X-Drake roared. "You're a pirate, which means you hate marines! So, that me-"
"I don't hate marines."
X-Drake found himself caught off guard by Luffy's sudden statement, and one look at the straw hatted boy's face said told X-Drake he was completely serious.
"Wha- but, you're a pirate!?"
"So? Just because I'm a pirate, that doesn't mean I hate marines. Sure, being one sounds boring and I never want to become one, but they can be cool sometimes. Coby's dream is to be a Marine admiral, and he's pretty cool when he's not being a wimp. Also, Smokey's pretty cool, even if he's a pain to fight, and that sword girl that's with him is nice. Plus, Gramps is a marine, I could never hate gramps."
X-Drake simply stared at Luffy, unable to come to terms with what he was telling him.
"But, you're a pirate. Pirates are all about plundering and pillaging, hurting innocent people and taking what doesn't belong to them. They are the scourge of the seas that care only for themselves and take joy in hurting people! THE-"
"Idiot." Luffy interrupted. "That's not what being a pirate is about."
X-Drake grit his teeth at Luffy's interruption before looking him dead in the eye and shouting.
"Then what is it about! Tell me Monkey D. Luffy, what do the Marines mean to you, and what is being a pirate mean to you!"
"Naw, I don't feel like it." Luffy said blandly.
"Wha- why not?!"
"Because I don't. Plus, you're a spy, aren't you supposed to find out stuff like that on your own?"
"I… I… I…" X-Drake attempted to speak, attempted to regain control of the situation. He was so used to forcing his will on people, just like every other pirate did, or at least what he thought every pirate did. Yet this kid, this rubbery, stupid seeming kid, had left him completely unable to respond in just a few words. So, seeing no other option besides running away, he gave up.
"Please, I just want to know. What it is that you see in the world of piracy that I don't that would make you seem so, so happy." He finally said.
Seeing the defeated look on X-Drake's face, Luffy simply chuckled and sat down, pulling out a tone dial that began to play Binks Sake. He gestured for X-Drake to sit down with him, and the Marine obliged as Luffy began to speak.
"The Marines huh. Well, they're supposed to be heroes right, like Gramps? They go around helping people in trouble, caring all about everyone even if they don't know them and fighting for them without worrying about themselves. They're pretty cool when they're like that, which is what Coby wants to be and what Smokey was trying to be. But then they have all these boring rules you have to follow, and you have to do what people above you say whether you like it or not. Also, there's so many of them that a bunch of them end up not being heroes like they're supposed to be, like Axe guy or that mouse that stole Nami's treasure. Gramps wanted me to be a Marine, but I don't want to be a hero who gives away all their own meat, and I REALLY don't want to do what people tell me too just because they can."
Luffy then took off his hat and held it in front of him, staring at it nostalgically.
"As for pirates, being a pirate is all about being free and following your dreams. Taking to the seas, going where you want and doing what you want. Chasing down your dreams, being willing to sacrifice your life for the sake of achieving it. Being a real pirate is an adventure to achieve what you want most, that's it. Sure, some pirates are really mean, hurting people with their freedom, but you don't have to hurt people to be a pirate."
X-Drake somehow found himself even more shocked than before. Luffy's view of the Marines was almost exactly like his, seeing them as a force of good in the world that just so happens to have some bad eggs in it. The only difrence between their views was really the fact that Luffy was too selfish to become a Marine. But, his view on piracy was shockingly close to Drake's own father. His father had become a pirate and would spout things like freedom and dreams, yet the man had grown exceedingly cruel after becoming a pirate. Drake had grown to dispise pirates because of it, associating cruelty and piracy as impossible to separate, yet coming from Luffy it seemed kind. It barely made sense to him, yet at the same time he could completely understand it, and it made him want to know more.
"Then, what is your dream that you're chasing?" Drake asked eventually.
"Shishishi, I'm going to be King of the Pirates."
"Pirates are scum who only care about themselves, and Gold Roger was the worst!"
"King of the Pirates? No idea what it has to do with the One Piece, if it's even real. The King of the Pirates is the biggest pirate, which means they're the cruelest of them all."
"Allowing Gold Roger to become the King of the Pirates was the Marine's greatest failure. That monster terrorized the world and went against everything we stand for. Who knows what damage he could have caused to the world order had we not captured him. On your mission, above all else, you must do your best to ensure there will never be another King of the Pirates."
The message of the Marines was that the pirate king was a cruel man, yet he knew that the Marines used a lot of propaganda. This raised the question of what it really meant to be King of the Pirates to someone who wasn't cruel, but somehow X-Drake already knew the answer.
"If the meaning of being a pirate is freedom." X-Drake slowly said, unsure of his words even as he spoke them. "Then is the King of the Pirates, the pirate who's the most free?"
"Yup." Luffy said with a smile. "That's it."
Drake just stared at Luffy. Could it really be that simple? In truth it probably wasn't, but to this kid it was. It didn't make sense to Drake, this kid was supposed to be some bloodthirsty monster that destroyed the judicial island, yet he just seemed like a goofy kid that liked having fun. Drake knew full well that the news was often twisted for the Marines, so maybe there was more to the story than he knew. Either way, Drake wanted to know more.
"I see. Does your crew see it the same way?" He asked.
"Of course, they're my crew after all." Luffy responded with a smile.
"I, think I would like to meet them, if that's ok with you."
"Shishishi, sure, come on, let's go."
And that's that. I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of Supernova Strawhats. As you've probably guessed, the plan is to have the different Straw Hats unintentionally recruit a member of the supernovas to the crew. I have it all planned out on a basic level, so it's just a matter of writing it.
Also, just in case anyone wants to point it out, the names of all the members of X-Drake's crew are slightly altered versions of names of characters from the three musketeers story, so I am sticking with the theme Oda seemed to be going for during his introduction.
