Chapter Two

The Black Legacy Continues

As Harry lay in bed curled against Sirius he tried to fall back to sleep, despite the nausea getting worse as he tried to sleep. Swallowing roughly, he sighed heavily giving up on getting anymore sleep as he looked toward his love, smiling sheepishly as he saw grey eyes watching him, making sure that he was okay without words. Sometimes he wondered how he had gotten so lucky. When he and Sirius had first acknowledged how they felt about each other, both had tried to avoid it. Until Draco Malfoy of all people had knocked some sense into him.

In the room next door he could hear the muffled voices of his parents unable to keep the smile off his face as he took a breath out. The nausea now becoming prominent now he was awake. Wrinkling his nose he rubbed his stomach gently, not knowing how he was going to get through his classes that day. He was just grateful that he had been taken out of the tournament after much deliberations throughout the night and arguments with his father, Papa and Barty Crouch Snr who had insisted he still be required to participate. The walls were thin and he had heard everything. It made him wonder why he was so forceful.

"Are you okay Harry? You've been tossing and turning a lot." Sirius asked softly, laying his free hand against Harry's abdomen as he noticed that Harry definitely wasn't feeling well.

"I thought morning sickness was only supposed to be in the mornings. But it's the middle of the night and and I'm feeling really sick." Harry said quietly rubbing his pounding head. "And I have a headache making me feel even more queasy."

"Well I've never been pregnant and don't let your Papa know that I know. When he was pregnant with you he didn't feel well throughout. I knew they were trying to hide it from everyone but I spent seven years sharing a form with him. As for your headache that's an unfortunate side affect. There are potions but I know how you feel about them."

"I read the ingredients on every potion, even if Dad could make me on, some one the ingredients are not suitable during pregnancy." Harry said quietly as his stomach gave a lurch. "I'm not looking forward to telling Professor McGonagall that I'm not in Gryffindor anymore…" he started before he made a beeline for the bathroom

Harry made it to the bathroom quicker than he ever had managed before kneeling against the tiled floor as he lost the battle with his stomach, leaning over the toilet bowl as he vomited. It wasn't long before he felt familiar hands rubbing his back as Sirius knelt by his side. "I'm here, I will always be by your side. You have made every part of my life better." Sirius said softly as he lay his free hand against Harry's nauseated stomach. "To know that I'm going to be a daddy."

"I always wanted a family of my own, living with the Dursleys, it was something that I dreamt about and now here I am, with my parents, with you and our little one even if I am feeling extremely sick right now." Harry said quietly before vomiting again. "Classes are going to be fun." Harry grumbled leaning against his soulmate as he felt Sirius trying to soothe his stomach, he didn't have the heart to tell him it was actually making him feel worse. Hearing a noise at the door he looked up, smiling slightly as he saw his Dad. If only everyone could see him now.

"How are you feeling little one?" Severus asked running his hand through Harry's longer hair tying it into a ponytail at the nape or his neck.

"Really sick, I haven't been able to get much sleep. I didn't think it was possible to get night sickness." Harry admitted softly feeling relieved as he felt his hair being tied up. "How is Papa feeling?"

"It appears night sickness is a family trait. As your mate said, your papa was sick during the night with you. Until they were discovered, he would sneak out to see me. Hence how he is currently expecting. Are you sure you can manage classes." Severus asked softly.

"I promise that I will ask if I can't handle it. I also know we have to the Great Hall. But I'm not sure I can handle eating anything without vomiting." Harry said quietly grimacing as the thought of food turned his stomach, pulling himself back on the toilet he vomited again leaning his head against his arms, feeling Sirius's hand against his back again.

"Would you like me to talk to Minerva?" Severus asked as James came up behind him and the dour potions master wrapped his arm around his husband's waist laying his palm over the baby bump forming. Harry shook his head before groaning and vomiting again.

"I'd like you and Papa and Siri to be there but I need to tell her myself. I know back in our first year you thought we didn't go to anyone before going after the stone but we talk her. She didn't listen." Harry said quietly leaning back against Sirius's chest looking at his Papa. "Was the headmaster arrested?"

"He was, Albus will find it hard to get himself out of this one, especially with Fawkes now with his true master." James said softly so focused on his son and his night sickness than how sick he was still feeling. "I know night sickness is a shock little one. And I won't lie to you snd say just because it's at night doesn't mean you're not feeling sick throughout the day. "No matter what the time of day, you have all of us."

"Thank you Papa. I think I'm done for now." Harry admitted quietly curling up on Sirius' lap as he felt himself being picked up again, making his way into the living room with Severus and James following.. He could see in his Papa's matching eyes. "How are you feeling Papa?" Harry asked as he saw the same sickly look on his face. "Incredibly nauseous but I'm used to it. Now are you sure you are ready for classes today."

"I promise I'm ready. Though there is something I need to do before the day truly begins are we have to be in the Great Hall. Looking toward his Dad he smiled slightly. "Would you ask Draco to meet us outside the Great Hall. I want to extend my own offer of friendship. Back then I was scared and alone, I'd never had friends before. Ron was the first one I had and he turned out to be as bad as Wormtail." Harry said quietly.

"I shall ask Mr Malfoy to join us here before we head to the Great Hall then you don't have to be overheard.' Severus said quietly. "How are too feeling now?" Severus had never felt more conflicted as he had been when he heard Harry vomiting through the wall at the same time James needed him."

"I didn't think it was possible to feel this sick." Harry admitted quietly. "How am I meant to eat when the thought makes me feel worse."

"Your papa and I were talking about this earlier. Hogwarts isn't known for its bland foods, however if when we get there you are not feeling well because if the smells, tap your wand against the plate and Dobby will send up some toast and eggs." Severus said quietly. "It's almost 6:30, I don't know about the tower but my Slytherin's should be getting up at 7am. Maybe some fruit would settle our grandchild down."

"I don't think I can stomach anything right now sorry Dad. As for early mornings, there it is around 8 though with Hermione it's 7:30am. Well that was before.. …now it's only a few that I can still trust." Harry said quietly swallowing as his nausea let him know it was still there. "Who is going to be headmaster with Dumbledore gone."

"I believe Minerva would be the first in line to take up the post, however she would need to find another Head Of Gryffindor." Severus said softly handing his son a cup of camomile tea. "Drink it should ease some of the nausea. If not then I have Peppermint."

"Thank you Dad. Peppermint sounds good." Harry said softly taking a sip as he instantly noticed the change. He chuckled softly. Sometimes he wondered if Dobby had actually bonded to him. "Breakfast is going to be interesting and I have an idea about the new Head Of Gryffindor you see I have this amazing husband. With the Soulbond it means we are married."

"We are aware son, after all your Dad and I have a Soulbond." James said softly as he winked at Sirius. "And I think that Padfoot as Head Of Gryffindor sounds like a very good idea."

"You really mean that? The guy who was an idiot in school?" Sirius asked softly holding Harry in his arms as he watched him sip on the tea. With his animagus ears he could hear the gurgling in his husband's stomach. "I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better."

"I promise that if I need to step out of classes and come down here I will. That is unless you take up the job offer and then you'll have your own quarters. Harry said thoughtfully looking at his Dad. "Would that be okay? As Head of Slytherin do I need to stay in the common room? I could spend nights here too."

"Firstly Sirius, yes I believe that you would be a brilliant addition to the faculty. Not only have you protected Harry all these years. You to see me. You helped Regulus escape your mother and snuck James out to see me." Severus said, seeing the shock on the old dog's face. "As to your question Harry, that would be perfectly fine, as a soul bonded couple you need to be together. Now finish your tea and go and get dressed. I it's time we head to the Great Hall we wouldn't want to miss the reaction."

Harry chuckled as he downed the rest of his tea, still feeling sick but not feeling the urge to vomit anymore. Kissing Sirius gently he held out his hand, smiling softly as he led Sirius to his from closing it softly as he started to get dressed for the day, picking up his school uniform, noticing that the waist would become an issue as his belly grow. "Can you put an charm on my clothes so they grow as the littlest Black grows." Harry asked grabbing his school bag and shoving the books he would need for the day. "What do you think about Harry James Snape Black. Just until school is done and then I'm pretty sure Dad wouldn't mind if I just used Black." Harry rambled, his rambles cut off by a kiss. Pulling out his wand he cast the expansion charm on Harry's clothing before getting dressed himself.

"I would like nothing better than for you to use my name Harry. Perhaps you could use Snape for schooling and we can have your name legally Black." Siris suggested. "And I think that I will take up Severus's offer." He said quietly not hearing the bedroom door open. Turning to face the door he smiled seeing the potions master. "How much of that did you hear?"

"All of it, I think that your idea has merit. It could definitely work in our favour. No one is going to mess with you when you carry the name Black." Severus said quietly giving his son the permission he didn't know he had needed.

"You're not upset that I don't use Snape for long?" Harry asked.

"You will always be my son Harry. But you have every right to want to use your bonded's surname." Severus said reassuringly squeezing his son's shoulder. "No doubt Draco will want to talk to you once we return as a family and you and Sirius enter holding hands. "Are you ready to go?"

"Mmhm though I still feel sick." Harry said softly burying his face into Sirius's long hair, breakfast was not going to be a pleasant experience. Especially with how much food was prepared every morning. He groaned the thought of food making his already nauseous stomach squirm. "Let's go before I change my mind." Harry said quietly.

Ten minutes later, Severus and James led Harry and Sirius through the double doors of The Great Hall. For the first time since entering Hogwarts Harry was not excited to be there. The moment they entered the room, he knew that the rest of the school had been told about his re sorting. And the fact that he was a Snape. Glancing at the Slytherin table he gave Draco a nod hoping the blond would understand. Thankfully the blond Malfoy heir nodded in return and he knew they would be talking later.

Taking a deep breath out he looked at their new headmistress smiling slightly as he saw the look of understanding in her eyes. Suddenly it seemed for the most part his fears weren't going to come true. Before he could turn toward the Gryffindor table he felt an arm on either side of him, ones that didn't belong to Sirius. Turning to face the newcomers his mouth opened as he saw Ron and Hermione still by his side.

"No matter what house you are in mate that's not going to change our friendship. Nor is your relationship, we know more than anything how much you have wanted a family and now you have it." Ron said softly knowing that it was his reaction Harry had been terrified of the most.

"Thank you." Harry said softly, he knew that despite everything Ron would always be there for him.

From the corner of his eyes, he noticed some of the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw searching for their wands the moment they saw Sirius. He rolled his eyes, did they really think he was stupid? Then again he was used to the entire school turning on him at a moments notice. He knew that the Headmistress was about to reveal everything including his removal from the Tournament.

Staying close to Sirius he made the mistake of looking at the food laiden table feeling his stomach roll.

Pushing his face into Sirius neck, he took small breaths trying to focus on something other than the food currently surrounding him from every angle. Maybe he should just eat in his parents quarters. But he didn't want it to seem like he was getting special treatment. Feeling Sirius' hand against his back he pulled himsekf together enough to look into those grey eyes.

"I'm not sure I can handle looking at it. Even if I am eating different foods." Harry admitted quietly.

"Your father made sure all of the Slytherins will be understanding, unlike certain Gryffindors who like to shove food into their mouths." Sirius said softly chuckling as a bright red Ron blushed. "How is the headache?"

"Still there, but it'll be worth it when we are holding our baby." Harry whispered rubbing his temples, Sirius led him over to the Slytherin table watching as his robes magically changed to Slytherin green and silver, feeling the expansion charm being cast as his pants became less snug. "Thank you." Harry whispered sitting down with Sirius sitting next to him just as Headmistress began talking.

"Now that you've all finished whispering about what's going on, let me fill in the details. Firstly Albus Dumbledore will face charges for child abuse, neglect and kidnapping. Alongside child endangerment. Hogwarts has accepted me as the new Headmistress. Secondly no this isn't a Death Eater posing as James Potter, it is in fact Lord Potter more will be revealed once Albus Dumbledore gets a trial. Thirdly, unlike the stories going around James and Severus never hated one another, in fact they are very much soul bonded. James is Harry's bearer. I shall leave it up to them to explain anything else. And finally, Harry and Sirius are soul bonded, they are currently expecting their first baby just as his parents are expecting their second. Anyone who is found to try and hex them will find them self expelled quicker than you can say Quidditch." Minerva finished explaining.

"What about the fact he's meant to have killed The Potters?" Ernie McMillian shouted.

"He was exonerated in private last year, the true betrayer was Peter Pettigrew. Really McMillian as if you didn't try and make my life hell enough during our second year. You really are fickle." Harry snarled "And my name is Harry Snape soon to be Harry Black."

"Mr McMillian I am not stating empty words if there is anymore of that from any House then you will be punished accordingly. I am not Albus Dumbledore, I don't give points for unwarranted stupidity, I may love quidditch but I will not have our integrity questioned over a House Cup. Mr Snape has found his family, his soulmate one day you will understand that." Minerva said sternly before looking at Cedric Diggory "One more thing, as Harry was entered under the name Harry Potter and his legal name is Harry Snape his entrance into the Twi Wizard Tournament has been revoked. Our Hogwarts champion is officially Cedric Diggory!"

"He will lose his magic." Barty Crouch Snr insistently tried despite the meeting with Severus & Minerva the previous night.

Harry rolled his eyes as he pulled out his wand before approaching the Head of Magical Games & Sports. Thinking of his most cherished memories, finding out he had a family, that he wasn't related to the Dursleys, his bonded. The baby he currently carried. Looking between his parents, Sirius and his godbrother Harry began casting.

"Expecto Patronum." Harry said softly watching in awe as the patronus he had gotten so familiar with had changed. Instead of the majestic Stag that he had first conjured, he watched as a Grimm appeared out of the tip of wand. Looking at the shocked Ministry head he raised an eyebrow that was very much like his father. "You were saying."

"But how…" Barty Crouch Snr said.

"There are inaccuracies around my entrance into this tournament. Let's go back to the World Cup shall we, and your house elf keeping a seat for her Master, yet YOU didn't appear. Despite that Winky stayed, I asked myself why she would do that. And then it hit me someone else must have been hidden under a disillusionment spell. It was only after I had a conversation with Siri that I realised exactly who that was. Your son never died at all did he, your wife did. You've been keeping him hidden all these years. I was sitting in front of the supposed empty seat. Funny that it was my wand that got stolen wasn't it. I know your son is alive because I saw it, it's helpful that the so called Dark Lord and I have a link." Harry looked toward the Headmistress. "You'll find that Professor Moody is in fact Barty Crouch Jr, he's been stealing from father to create polyjuice."

"Now wait here…" Barty Crouch Snr started.

"And let's not forget who threw my soulmate into Azkaban without so much of a trial. You had your hands on that case, you could have tested their wands. You let Dumbledore interfere in my life." Harry watched as the captured Barty Crouch Snr & fake Mad Eye Moody began to escape. "Stupify." Harry yelled as they hit the ground only relaxing once he was sitting back down at the Slytherin table which he noticed was now less full and his plate was filled with eggs and plain toast.

"I need to talk to your father Draco. I don't think Tom is as guilty as the so called Light have been led to believe." Harry revealed. "Do you think he will see me." Harry asked.

"Why wouldn't he see you Harry, he's your grandfather after all." James said softly. "Apparently that old goat repeats history, we will take you to see him."

"How much more can he ruin." Harry grumbled, poking at his eggs as he tentatively began to eat.

"I don't know Harry." Sirius said quietly kissing the side of his forehead gently. "I believe you have potions first, at least you'll have an understanding Professor to begin with.

"Hopefully I won't have to put a shield around my potion, I may be Slytherin now but I could have the same issues that I had with the Slytherin's with some of the Gryffindors." Harry frowned looking at the Gryffindor table and his former dorm mates.

Suddenly there was a commotion behind them as Aurors Kingsley Shacklebolt & Tonks entered the Great Hall pulling Crouch Snr & Jr from the room. He looked toward them, smiling at his soul bonded cousins daughter. Maybe it was time to bring people back into the family and eject others such as Bellatrix he would have to see what his grandfather said before revealing anything to Sirius though. As Lord Black he had the final decision.
