All-Stars Lucky 7th - (JJBA 7th Stand User x Precure All Star F)
What happens when a Star dies?
"Do you understand, Usagi Taki? This... this may be the day you die."
"I understand, Mr. Steel. But... but I need to do this. I have to."
Cairo, Egypt. I remember how it started. A simple walk in town... gone awry. I remember being pulled into this tale due to my unusual ability - I could use a Stand, a powerful spirit that aided me in fighting the forces of Evil.
"Cheater! You are a damn cheater! I will show you what happens to scum like you!"
"Bring it, D'Arby!" Fear echoed, but determination burned through the hesitation.
We went through so many adventures... I wasn't alone. The other 'Stardust Crusaders', a group of oddballs that had been drawn for the same goal: to vanquish the old vampire that was trying to conquer the World with his minions.
"You disgusting mongrel! You shall never reach my Master. Prepare to die!"
"B-Bring it, Vanilla Ice!" I roared back, but I was starting to feel the strain as those guards were proving to be tougher than previous opponents.
From Japan to Egypt. We traveled long and far, facing many foes, knowing many people, and then - then I realized I was an anomaly. I found someone that was trying to meddle with reality and... I came to be. An interloper to an interloper, a fate-changer against a fate-meddler.
The darkness of DIO's room was intense, and I could barely see in the shadows as the Vampire calmly studied me from afar. Confused, intrigued, and yet disappointed.
"Usagi Taki, a mere Japanese boy with average grades and an average life. You have a normal family, no reason to be hunting me, and yet... you defied your group's plan - you are attacking me head-on as if you were driven by something of a goal unworthy of you. What is it?"
The Diary. Find his Diary and destroy it!
Mr. Steel's words echoed in my head right as he inquired, and my hardening stance was enough to limit the exchange.
"I see, you wish to die a quick death. Well, I will make sure that you get that wish, fool. 「The World」!"
Within a moment, my surroundings froze as I blissfully fell within that very moment of time where I couldn't see, think, or even know what was going on. My body was stuck, my mind too - DIO approached calmly, yet he kept his mind on his limit: he had a few seconds to hold his Time Stop, and he didn't hold back in a quick vicious strike from his Stand.
What he didn't expect was for the punch to be caught by my Stand.
「Red Garland」 was an anomaly, just like me. The powerful golem that looked like a red-armored knight whose weapons are his fists and kicks had a strength worthy of matching 「Star Platinum」 if not going beyond Jotaro's own Stand in terms of physical power.
Despite this, its true power was never once fully manifested. I thought it was fire, but I was shocked to learn about its odd nature: its 「Requiem」.
Mr. Steel said something about my Stand having tapped into the first of many steps to unleash the true might of a Stand: the pinnacle of spiritual prowess which can easily shape the universe. Yet, 「Red Garland」 was not fully able to unleash its 「Requiem」 form. It could tap into it for a time, but it was an expensive technique on the user, me.
As DIO forced his Stand to pull his fist out of the hold, shock manifested on his face at that unexpected development, he also realized that the pain burning his hand in a familiar way was Hamon. Hamon that flowed within my body thanks to Mr. Joestar's Training.
The blond Vampire looked stunned even as the Time Stop ceased.
"W-What are you?"
I snorted, trying to play off the ripples of pain echoing within my chest as my heart was strained by the effort.
"I am... Pursuit."
At this response, DIO tried to jump out of one of the windows in the room. He thought he had speed by his side, but he was soon intercepted by 「Red Garland」. His shock turned into genuine fear, and while his 「World」 manifested to try and beat back my Stand, he seemed to realize that my ability only bolstered my Stand.
「Red Garland: Requiem」's true goal was indeed 'Relentless Pursuit' against my opponents. Reaching the pinnacle of might, the Red Golem could easily smash his way through his opponents and scorch them into nothingness.
So, despite his best efforts, DIO was wrecked by that barrage of fists, and... for a moment, I thought I had done it. Ignoring the pain, the soreness, the tiredness - I had lived through the deadly gauntlet. And it took me very little to find DIO's Diary. Gulping nervously, I held it tight in my hands, 「Red Garland」 right behind me as he readied to tear apart the journal when-
BOOOM!
Everything was loud and hot. Without hesitation, 「Red Garland」 manifested to try and slam all the debris hurled at me, but the explosive blast came from all around the tower. My vision blacked out a few times as I found myself falling rapidly towards the street, forcing myself to drop the Diary as I tried to do a good landing... only to end up with a broken leg upon impact.
Gritting my teeth a blood poured out of my lips, I felt the inner strain putting a severe toll on my consciousness. I saw the Diary, a bit singed by the explosion land right in front of me... and very close to where Vins was standing at. The plum-haired woman approached, her Stand 「Hanoi Rocks」 keeping right beside her.
"You should have given up when you had the chance, Taki. You are a strong boy but... this is above what you understand, the hardships you took- those should have not been yours to claim."
"S-Shut up," I stared at her with growing anger. "Y-You don't have any rights to say who should do anything in this world! Y-You didn't even win!"
Before she could dash for the Diary, 「Red Garland」 got the diary and shredded it in front of the woman.
"Y-You little- I will just go back and...!"
Vins trembled as 「Red Garland」 rushed for her. Her Stand couldn't assist her as she tried to use its ability to go back in time. This power- it was too dangerous to use and I was able to get to her before she could go back. A single punch was all I needed to crush her skull but-
But then the world was engulfed in a blinding white light and I found my tired body suddenly falling into... water.
What happens when a Star dies? It is born anew, with greater brightness.
Running, that's all her mind could think of. Run, she needed to run.
Her tiny legs struggled to make it across the high water, but the critter refused to stop. She knew that her creator was out to destroy her - "Why are you so weak?" - and she wasn't going to change her mind. She thought she would have been her friend but...
Puca was unsure of what to think. She was just a rabbit-like creature that came to be for the sake of being her creator's friend but... why did she reject her? What did she do to warrant her hatred? Holding back another sob, the bunny managed to push her body across the water, glancing just briefly as she saw the shadow monsters giving chase now struggling crossing the sea.
A chance to truly hide away!
That was her plan as she felt her tiny body growing tired and cold. Her fur was wet and yet the cool winds made it difficult to properly dry up. Puca eyed the few trees on top of the small island she stumbled upon, the mascot struggling to breath and see as tears and snot made it difficult to focus properly.
Despite her struggles and fears, she made it to the trees and... she froze up as she found someone lying on the ground. She thought it was a monster, or someone that could harm her like her creator but... Puca frowned as her dark-pink eyes noticed the lying human was not conscious. And he seemed to be quite deep in his sleep.
Gulping nervously, Puca fought back her fright and decided to look closer to see if the human was feigning to ambush her.
Tense steps later, and the critter frowned at the conditions of the boy. He looked quite hurt, blood stains by his clothes, but he looked far from truly dying. Sniffing the air, Puca still felt somewhat intrigued by his scent. It was sandy, yet not the same as the beach. It felt less wet, less sea-like. Dry.
Sneezing briefly, Puca remembered her fur was wet and that she needed to find a place where to properly dry and heat her body up and... the boy felt warm. She dared herself to touch him, mesmerized by the warmth coming from his hand and then, daring herself some more, the critter sat down and leaned one of her bunny ears to his chest.
Her eyes softly widened and then grew heavy as the heartbeat she felt from him was further drawing her to seek rest. She would have wanted to stay awake and not set herself up for more trouble but...
She felt at ease as she closed her eyes, leaned her head against his chest and fell asleep on the spot - Future Puca would face the consequences of her actions... or maybe not.
