A couple years after the adventure with the peach, James and the bugs have settled into New York life. James is attending school, and the bugs all have fulfilling careers. But when Mr. Grasshopper discovers that James is being bullied at school, he wants to help. James doesn't want the family to know, so Mr. Grasshopper promises to keep the secret and help in any way he can.
