Chapter 26: The Aftermath of Danger: Let the Dates Begin!
While Danny was dealing with the aftermath of his battle, his friends back in Amity Park were at Fenton Works
Fortunately, they dealt with little to no sightings of any troublesome ghosts. This gave Jazz, Tucker and Sam some much needed time to kick back and relax.
All but one at least.
Sam marched impatiently in a circle, waiting for a word from Danny.
"Well?..." She asked, looking ticked.
"Well what?..." Tucker asked as he ate some potato chips.
"He should be here by now! What could possibly be so time consuming that it's taking him longer to finish whatever business he has in Japan?!..." Sam insisted.
"We don't know what he's doing, Sam. Look...He's coming back today, but we never got an exact time..." Tucker pointed out.
"Sam, relax. Why don't you read some books about gothic tales or watch one of those Femalian movies. Those usually put you in a better mood..." Jazz said.
"Relax?! How can you tell me to relax while Danny's out there with some other gi- I mean, with some threat out there!..." Sam said.
"Jealous!..." Jazz let out a fake cough.
"I heard that... and I am NOT!..." Sam insisted.
"Yes, you are! The more you deny it, the more it's obvious..." Jazz replied.
"Whatever! Don't think you can tell me what I'm feeling. And FYI, I'm just worried, nothing else..."Sam said with an upset and audible tone, being stubborn and refusing to admit anything.
"I guess you're right. And I guess that you can't handle when someone calls you out..." Jazz said sarcastically while the goth glared daggers at her.
"Just keep playing Doomed on your PDA and not get involved in Sam's obvious jealousy that got old forever ago..."Tucker mentally told himself to avoid further conflicts.
The teens continued to wait at Fenton Works, unaware that a certain time master was not done with their friend/brother yet, at least not from Danny's perspective.
Meanwhile
In Japan
Danny was in his motel room right now, exhausted as he rest on the bed.
He put his translator necklace down to recharge, while he finally took a minute to relax and take in everything that's happened today.
"I SO did not expect today to go the way that it did. Although, I guess I don't have too much to complain about...much..." He thought, liking the idea of beautiful girls into him.
Granted, with what's coming up, he'll have to make a choice...and pick a girl.
After the battle, Minako and Makoto asked for more details about their upcoming dates...when they weren't playing tug a war with his arms that made him thankful he can split in two.
"This is a problem I wish I had more often..." He thought as a slight smile grew on his face.
All the chaos and craziness he went through was about to be worth it. Two great girls, one at a time, with him.
Anyway, it was decided that tomorrow he would spend the whole day with Makoto and the next day, he would go out with Minako. Afterwards, he would make his choice, give both girls his answer and hope the rejected one would take it well.
Or at least, that was what he hoped for.
Still, a part of him couldn't believe that he was going out with someone as strong and amazing like Makoto and someone as bubbly and vivacious like Minako.
"Wow…it's like I signed up for a crazy dating service...and for some reason I'm getting a strange feeling of Deja vu from that comparison..." He thought, wondering if he should ask Clockwork about it.
"Nah...not important...and knowing him, he's probably get all cryptic and joking that I did that in another lifetime or whatever..."He thought, before chuckling.
The ghost boy took a long deep breath as he thought hard on his plans soon.
He couldn't believe that he had two amazing girls into him and had two dates set up...and if things go the way he expects...he might get a new girlfriend before heading home from his surprisingly eventful trip to Japan.
However, if that does happen, it would need that he and either Makoto or Minako will end up in a long distance relationship. Something he never thought he would experience.
Danny decided that whatever happens, it will happen.
"Hmmm, well...I'm sure things will work out in the end. I'll think more on that later..." He thought, before yawning.
The ghost boy decided to go to sleep, knowing that tomorrow will be packed full of more surprises for him and his dates.
"Makoto..." He whispered, before drifting off to sleep.
The half ghost boy didn't know it at the time, but he slept much more peaceful with a warm feeling in his chest that night after having that last thought for the night.
Elsewhere
With Makoto
The tallest of the Sailor Guardians was home right now. She was feeling many things right now, happy mostly.
Why?
Because she met a nice, cute guy who likes her and she is going on a date with him tomorrow.
True, it's technically a trial date and he will be going on one with Minako too to settle a debate with said other Sailor Guardian, but she didn't mind it too much.
Seeing as she wasn't acting far too like a fangirl like Minako was, the ghost boy also seemed to enjoy her company more anyway. Or at least that's what she thought.
"I never thought that I'd being going on date with a guy that one of my friends also likes. Awkward...but I hope Usagi's idea of a dating trial works...still...I'm excited...I haven't been on a real date since...him..." She thought, before shaking her head.
No, she didn't want to think about the senpai who broke her heart in the past. No, she met a NICE guy and she is going to spent her whole day tomorrow having having fun and getting close to guy she likes.
"Okay, I got a date to prepare for. Let's get started!..." Makoto said, as she went to her closet to pick out an outfit and plan out their date.
The tall girl started to preparing for her date tomorrow, to impress Danny, and to make sure she got the right outfit.
Thankfully she remembered to get a full night's rest, knowing that she's going to need it.
The Next Morning
It was around 9 in the morning and Danny soon arrived to his destination.
Makoto's apartment.
"This is the place..." He said, with flowers in his hands.
He picked some flowers up on the way here since he wanted to make a good impression on Makoto. He even managed to pick up a new outfit...courtesy of a certain Sailor Guardian who is partially responsible for hooking him up.
"I gotta remember to thank Usagi again for getting me this outfit..." He thought, grateful towards her.
This morning the bubbly Sailor Guardian contacted him with Ami and Rei, and they even offered him some advice on where to take Makoto and how to treat her...as well as give him a wardrobe update once they saw that he didn't have a ton of options to wear for today.
Now, he was wearing a new, clean looking red t-shirt underneath a blue long-sleeved semi-unbuttoned shirt that matched his eyes, with a navy blue pair of pants and with new red shoes.
With this, he was ready for his date.
He went up and was now in front of the address that Makoto gave him. He knocked the door and waited.
A few moments later, the door opened and Makoto appeared.
"Good...good morning Danny-kun..." A shy voice was heard.
Danny saw her and gasped once he laid his eyes on the girl whom he would be going on a date today.
Her long brown hair was no longer in her usual pony tail but was now free in wavy down do style. She is also wearing a green dress with some pink floral pattern on it, as well as some matching decorations on it, along with matching pink shoes. She even wore some rose scented perfume. She also noticed that she was wearing some makeup that was lightly and tastefully done, making her look even more lovely than before.
Danny was stunned by how pretty she looked right now.
"Wow..." He let out, mesmerized as he for a moment thought he just seen a princess in front of him.
Danny, once he was out of his stunned state, send her a large grin and tried to keep his cool in front of the beautiful girl that he's about to take on a date.
"Makoto...you...you look amazing..." Danny said sincerely, as he pulled himself together, trying best not to stutter.
This was a date with a cute girl, and he definitely was not going to mess this chance.
All the while, Makoto blushed at that compliment.
"Thank you, Danny-kun..." She said, with a blush visible on her face.
The half-ghost boy then remembered that he has a gift for his beautiful date.
He pulled something from behind his back, making the girl blush more as he presented her the flowers.
"These are for you..."Danny said as he handed Makoto the bouquet of flowers, and she lit up at the sight of the flowery gift.
"These are beautiful...thank you..."Makoto said, her face light up in excitement, as she cradled one of the blossoms in her palm.
She even put one of them in her hair, making her look even prettier. Unable to hold her emotions, the girl let out a deep playful giggle. And her joy grew as she saw a rose that matches her earrings.
"Wonderful..." She said as she places the boutique in a vase to preserve it.
Once done, she closed the door and locked it.
"I've been looking forward to this..." She said.
Danny smiled, feeling that they are getting off to a good start. So now, it was time for the good date.
"Glad to hear that. So, you ready? I think today's gonna be perfect, especially with King I-Didn't-Commit-His-Name-To-Memory out of the picture..." He said, being earnest.
"All set, Danny-kun..."Makoto said before she saw a hand held out for her.
"So, shall we go?..."Danny said as he offered his arm to the girl, who blushed once more.
Makoto giggled and took his arm, making it a rather cute sight, despite the noticeable height difference between them.
"Lead the way, Danny-kun..." Makoto giggled as she held his arm, smiling a lot right now.
Danny and Makoto soon left to their destination, with their date has now began.
