Suddenly Peter opens his eyes and see's that he is in his 6 year old body playing by himself with a ball in the park
As Peter Parker was playing in the park, he accidentally kicked his ball into the nearby bushes. He ran towards the bushes to retrieve the ball and as he bent over to pick it up, he noticed a foot on the ground where the ball was. When he looked up, he saw a young girl with enchanting green eyes staring at him curiously.
Peter smiled at the girl who looked the same age as him and gestured for her to follow him. As she stepped out of the bushes, Peter noticed that she was very pretty. Her glowing green eyes were alluring to him. But shockingly, more of her was becoming clear, as he saw not just her enchanting green eyes, but also her long beautiful flowing hair.
"Hi." Peter found himself speaking to her.
"Hello." She replied, seemingly to be scared to talk to him.
"My name is Peter." Peter introduced himself to her. "What's your name?"
"It its …" said the girl but to peter he didn't hear anything even though he can see the girls mouth moving
Even though peter was very nervous talking to this girl he knew he had to ease her nervousness so Peter continued.
"I think that's a very pretty name. Y-Y- Your also very pretty," said Peter while he started to rub his arm.
When the young girl heard that her eyes lit up but soon they simmered back down to what they were before
"T-Thanks," said the young girl very nervously/
As they both look at each other nervously peter decided to ask one last thing because to him she also looked very lonely
"Well do you want to play with me?" Asked Peter showing her the ball he had
After he asked that there was a long silence which got peter nervous since he got scared if he scared off the girl Suddenly the girl gives a big shining smile which drew Peter in even more and said "I would love to play with you, Peter."
As she said that she grabbed onto peters arm and starts to drag him and in turn running with him to the field so she can play with her new friend.
Suddenly as Peter is running with her when he suddenly hears a voice.
"You don't remember?" The girls voice got changed from the young girl he didn't know into the one of Raven. The green eyes he was staring into turned into violet eyes. "How could you forget me?"
"Raven?" Peter asked, watching as the world crumbled around him, turning into a dark void, and he saw Raven. At least her face. He looked down and saw he was no longer just a boy and was now an adult. "What's going on?"
"You said you'd protect me." Raven said in anger, her head was glowing. Then the crystal began to crack open and Raven was glowing red, and six pairs of eyes appearing on her face. "But you were the reason I was taken!"
"I tried to protect you." Peter defended.
"Tried and failed!" Raven cried as two devil horns grew from her head and she moved in to attack him.
Peter gasped as he woke up to see he was in his bedroom. He looked over and saw Susan was aside him and leaned over to hold her close, worried of what was going to happen. Because of what happened, he was worried of the thought those robots could come and attack them yet again.
They were the top scientist industrial complex in the world, and yet robots broke into their home and kidnapped someone like it was nothing. He worried if who it was that kidnapped Raven might come for Susan, or Valeria, or Franklin.
"In many worlds, the one thing that never changed." The Watcher sighed as he saw the worry in Peter's eyes as he tried to ger some sleep. "Heroes and their rivals are the heart and soul of every world in the multiverse. Especially in the BRANCHES." He then saw flashes of Barry Allen versus hunter Zoloman. "In the main world, it was Flash vs. Zoom. A rivalry that changed the course of their world forever, introducing the multiverse, parallel worlds, and chaos..." flashes of all of Zoom's victims came into view. Dr. Light. Jesse Wells. Henry Allen. Joe West. Peter Parker. Caitlin Snow. Reverb. Deathstorm. "So, so much chaos." Then he refocused his attention on this universe, creating a vision of Peter Parker and Victor Von Doom facing one another. "But this rivalry is different. Victor Von Doom is not Hunter Zoloman, he might just be worse. Peter Parker don't know this, but...this rivalry was born years ago. And Victor has been there for everything. But I'm getting ahead of myself...how about I give you some background?"
YEARS AGO:
Peter Parker was making his way through the hallway of his college dorm and made his way to the doorway where his room was. He sighed and reached for the door and opened it. When he opened it, he found a young man who was placing his clothes in the dresser on the left side of the room.
"Oh, hey, you must be my roommate," Peter said as he entered the room and raised his hand, expecting him to shake it.
"Victor." He introduced himself, but seemingly uninterested in shaking Peter's hand. "You better not be one of the noisy roommates or messy."
"No, I'm mostly quiet," Peter promised as he sat down on the bed. "And I tend to try and keep my stuff clean."
"Good. I don't like messy environments." Victor tells him.
"Well, you don't need to worry," Peter promised. "I mean, if you're that worried, I would have gone for a single bedroom."
"I tried, they were already booked," Victor replied.
Peter sat silent and just shrugged it off.
PRESENT DAY:
Victor was patiently sitting on his throne as he watched as Raven's unconscious form was placed into a containment chamber to keep her from accessing her powers and escaping.
"Target acquired." One of the Doombots tells Victor.
"Begin to drain her of her power," Victor stated as he stood and saw all of the other sorcerers he captured. "How is the Adaptoids procedure coming along?"
"Calculations show a 98 percent chance of success." The Doombot tells Victor.
"Then prepare it for launch on Central City," Victor said as he eyed a photo of Peter and Susan during a press conference. "Tonight, Peter Parker's world starts to fall. As he made mine."
At the Future Foundation, Peter was watching over the footage of the Doombots breaking into his home from every angle. He got HERBIE to hack and steal the footage from nearby places, and even some that were posted online by people who happened to be near at the time. He wanted to figure out where these robots came from and where they were coming from.
"After they left, what trajectory did it take?" Peter asked HERBIE.
"My scanners show it left with the young girl, and then took off in the southwest area. But it is possible, sir, that it turned or even changed course after it was out of clear sight of the cameras." HERBIE warned Peter.
Peter slammed his fist on a table, causing a dent to form. "A giant robot flying around the night sky, and nobody notices it?"
"Well, this robot was able to cloak itself to get close enough to the building without setting off the defenses." HERBIE reminded him. "There is some possibility that it was cloaking its signature."
"If someone has that kind of tech, then it is safe to assume they aren't going to stop at sorcerers," Peter said with concern. "Keep trying to track them, HERBIE. And let me know if any others make an appearance."
"Still looking?" Susan asked as she watched him.
"Yeah, I...I'm worried." Peter sighed as he leaned on the table.
Susan approached him and hugged him from behind. "You're worried about her."
"Not just her." Peter sighed and knew that this was going to get worse. "This guy attacked our home. What's stopping him from doing it again? He's shown he is willing to strike us just to get what he wants."
"You're worried about us." Susan was starting to understand. "You're worried he might come back for one of us."
"We have to find this guy," Peter said in concern. "I promised to protect her, and she was snatched like...like it was my first-day protecting people."
"Well, whatever that robot was, it was different from the others," Susan said as she stood up and walked around the hologram. "Something we haven't been dealing with. We weren't prepared for magic, sorcerers, power gems, and many of these things. You can't blame yourself for not expecting this. I don't think any of us were going to expect attacking robots."
Peter chuckled as he finally realized what they were facing.
"Sir?" HERBIE interrupted. "You wanted me to warn you if those robots ever showed up again?"
"They already coming back?" Peter asked in concern.
"Yes and no," HERBIE said, showing footage of robots entering the city, and where they were heading. "They are not heading here, but they are heading for the CCPD."
"What?" Susan asked in concern.
"Round up the gang." Peter tells Susan. "tell them to head there." He then ran off to get changed and to make his way over. "We gotta stop these things!"
Yuri was shooting at the monster that was taking over her prescient, finding cover behind some of the desks with Joe West by her side. They were trying not to get hit by the constant attacks from the robot that was shooting plasma blasts toward them.
"Why the hell is it this building can't stay in one piece anymore?" Joe asked in anger.
"Welcome to the new world, Joe." Yuri sighed as she prepared to open fire again. "We really need a direct line to the F4."
"You thinking a spotlight on the roof or a telephone linked directly to them?" Eddie Thawne asked.
"I'm a call kind of girl," Yuri stated as she stood up and started to open fire yet again. The robot was already at their computers, and seemingly hacking into their systems. "Hands up, robot!"
The robot then turned around, one hand holding the computer screen and it reveals that it was the exact same model that attacked the team last night. The robot aimed its way to attack Yuri, but it was stopped by a web cardigan that was attached to its face and exploded causing the robot to stumble to try and get it off of him. Human Torch then flew into the hole in the wall that the robot made and blasted it with fire.
When the robot was sent flying, Peter came from the balcony from above and kicked the robot against the wall. When the robot finally managed to get the webbing off of its face, it was preparing to go at them, but the Thing worked fast and slammed the robot into that giant wall portrait of CCPD.
"You are not going anywhere." Ben proclaimed.
Peter then leaped down and landed aside his friends. "Nice job, Ben." He said as he walked forward, missing how in the light, the robot's eyes began to change. "Let's bash this thing's head in and find where it took everyone."
The robot then confirmed to have completed the transfer and prepared to compete its next objective. And as Ben could do that, the robot already scanned their abilities and managed to rip its way out of the webbing, yanking the giant pedestal with him. Susan worked fast to grab it with a force field to stop it from collapsing on them.
"Hey, Robocop, you ain't winning this fight with some strength!" Johnny tried to burn him with fire, shooting a beam of heat.
But to Johnny's surprise, the robot was beginning to morph and his body was showing that he was adapting to his heat and was actually becoming a heat meta-robot. Peter seemed to notice this and tried to shoot out a web, but the robot caught the webbing and burned it to a scorch. Then it turned its attention to Johnny grabbed him by the throat and raised him in the air, choking him. Ben ran over and tried to attack, but the robot had already gained Peter's senses and grabbed Ben's hand and tossed him across the room into Susan, causing her to lose control and the pillar starting to fall on them.
Peter however leaped in and punched the robot, trying to stop it from escaping, and even managed to send a chunk of it flying. The damaged robot began to short circuit, the mechanical beast unable to keep its mission objective when it got a message: OBJECTIVE CHANGED - escape.
Then when the robot was beginning to walk off, Peter turned around and saw his friends were in danger when the robot was escaping and they were injured. He groaned and ran over, not letting any of his friends get hurt on his watch, and shot several strands of webbing to stop the thing from falling down on his friends. When the work was done, the pillar was stuck to the wall and the robot was gone. He ran over to his friends, seeing they were okay.
"You guys good?" Peter asked them.
"Ugh, I am good," Johnny confirmed in pain.
"Susie?" Peter called.
"A little banged, but I'll live," Susan promised as she stood up, holding her shoulder. "Caity can patch me up. Go catch that thing."
Peter nodded and ran over to the hole that the robot made and looked around to start looking around to find
"Cisco, you got eyes on that thing?" Peter asked in concern.
"Yes, I do," Cisco promised as he saw his scanners showing the robot. But then all of a sudden, the robot vanished. "No, I do not."
"Damnit!" Peter cried in anger and crushed one of the bricks in the wall by accident. He then marched over to his friends, at least happy to say they were okay. "It got away. Again."
"How is that possible?" Susan asked. "A giant robot can't fly away and vanish."
"Yeah, last time we weren't looking for it. But we have the scanners and HERBIE searching for it." Caitlin commented through comms. "How...how can it vanish?"
Peter started to figure it out when he looked at the chaos. "Because it has our powers. Its biology changes when it morphs into us, and it comes into contact with Susan's abilities."
"So, it can now not only turn invisible but use my forcefields," Susan stated in concern.
"Hey." Yuri walked over to them. "So...what the hell? Evil robots taking on the police now?"
"We don't know. This thing attacked us last night at our base and kidnapped someone. A young girl." Peter confessed.
"But why? Last I checked, the CCPD doesn't have sorcerers." Susan commented.
"Who was it targeting?" Peter asked Yuri.
"Us." Yuri shrugged. "It was like it was trying to kill all cops."
"Why go from superheroes to cops?" Susan wonders. "I mean, I don't get the point."
"It was trying to kill them." Peter was putting it together. "It was working on the computer when I got here, what did it get?"
"Our tech genius would have to tell you," Yuri said, gesturing to Barry Allen.
"Uh, well, from what I can see..." Barry noticed they were talking to him and walked over to them. "It copied a specific file. Metahumans that have let themselves be known."
"Why does it wanna know where a few Metas live?" Johnny asks. "What's it got to gain?"
"No, not just a few metas. All Metahuman in Central City." Barry corrected him, "anyone who has powers, and has told the CCPD."
"Okay, but Why go after Metahumans?" Susan asks. "What does it have to gain?"
"Take out the first line of defense was us, and then it came after the police not only for the files but to see what they can do. It's trying to set us off balance." Peter was starting to put it together. "We stopped the army of Inhumans, so we were the first target.
"Attacking our lines of defenses..." Yuri was starting to get it. "It sounds like the forefront to an invasion."
"Who would want to invade Central City?" Johnny asks.
"That's our concern," Peter whispered in fear. "We're gonna need help."
YEARS AGO:
Peter was in one of his classes and he had been working on staying on top of his class while helping people as Spider-Man. He has lunches with Cisco and Ronnie, which helps offset the roommate he has. Victor's an offsetting kind of guy, which makes sense as it turns out he came from Latveria, it is a small eastern European country within Europe.
"To break forth bloodily, then the past must be obliterated and a new start made. Let us now start fresh without remembrance, rather than life forward and backward at the same time. Now, what you were thinking the author meant by these words will be your assignment for tomorrow. Class dismissed."
Peter packed up his books and strolled his way out of the classroom. "Oh, Mr. Parker?" One of the assistant teachers called him over. "Mr. Werner."
That would be Victor, Peter's roommate. His last name was Werner. They approached the professor, wanting to see what they were called for.
"We happened to notice that your midterms were both about robotics projects. Integrating DNA and allowing the mechanics to integrate itself into the human brain. After contemplating I've come to a decision about who's project will be further developed and who will lead it," She recalled the projects. "I must say, I am impressed with both of you but the person I choose to lead the class project is Mr. Parker."
"Really? Thank you." Peter said when he turned to Victor who's was giving off a very angry stare
"This is preposterous. I have been preparing for months for this project! I should lead it! I'm much smarter then Parker!" Victor scoffed.
"I'm sorry Victor but I've made my decision. That doesn't mean your project is bad by any means." Said the professor but Victor just stormed off.
"Wow, Dr. Doom over here." Cisco scoffed as he watched Victor stormed off.
"Hey, Pete." Cisco and Ronnie caught up. "You good here?"
"Uh, maybe," Peter said as he looked to his professor. "You were saying, Professor?"
"As I was saying... I have a friend. She's head of Mercury Labs, she is helping fund our class project." Heart tells him. "She would be interested in your work with robotics."
"So, what kind of work would this be?" Peter asked Heart.
"An internship mostly, paid of course. But... who knows?" Heart shrugged.
What nobody noticed is that Victor was still around the corner listening with his fist clenche
PRESENT DAY:
Peter took the rest of the day and used a bit of help from the team to find out where John Constantine was staying. Seemed he rented a room in a hotel in the city, so he just needed to find him from there. Entering the room, considering he left it unlocked and used some magic, Peter found John sitting with a light in his mouth.
"No," John stated.
"I haven't even asked for anything." Peter shrugged. "You use a spell? Read my mind?"
"Wasn't magic, it was deduction. You want me to join your little ragtag lot of do-gooders." Constantine stated, seeing through Peter. "Trust me, friend, I will only cause you trouble."
"Well, you came to me for help." Peter reminded him. "You got us to capture that young girl, and now she's in danger. We need to save her."
"And how do you plan on doing that?" Constantine asks. "Because last I checked, whoever our attacker is, they have resources. And from what I saw, I'm better on my own."
Peter sighed and knew he might be right. They couldn't fight these robots, not alone at least. "Look, yes, we lost the last fight. And we're not exactly on a winning streak anymore. But we need your help. You understand magic, something that these robot's clearly seem to have a grasp of. We know science, something that is needed to stop them. Now they kidnapped a child. Someone I promise I'd protect. Have you ever made a promise like that before to someone you cared about?"
John seemed to actually stop and think about that question. "You really think I'd do any good to you lot?"
"Think of it this way, you can bail on us, but we won't bail on you," Peter promised him. "You came here asking for help. We're gonna give it. But in return, you're gonna help us protect our city from these threats."
"You asked John Constantine to join the team?" Susan asks.
"Is this a permanent thing, or is it just until we figure out who's kidnapping sorcerers?" Bette wonders.
"I...I don't know. I didn't iron out the details with him." Peter shrugged. "Look, we need him. With how many metahumans are out there, we're going to need some magical support to protect them."
"Okay, but does it have to be Constantine?" Cisco asks. "That guy is..."
They heard something being dragged as they saw John Constantine strolled into the room, carrying a giant trunk of luggage with him from his hotel room. "Tired, hungry, hungover, and in need of a stiff one." He then dropped the trunk in the middle of the room. "Dealers choice as to what that's a euphemism for."
"Oh, John, that was quick." Peter was surprised how quickly he made his way halfway across the city.
"Yeah, well, I figured we better get to work on protecting your metahumans," Constantine tells them. "But let's get a few things straight. I am not a member of...whatever it is you call yourselves."
"Fantastic Four," Peter replied.
"Whatever. I'm merely offering my services as a consultant," Constantine promised them. "And as such, I have some stipulations. I don't do silly costumes," he gestured to the getups they were wearing. "I expect full benefits, and I require no less than two weeks paid vacation."
"Vacation?" Susan asked.
"Paid?" Johnny asks.
"Uh, we will discuss this later, John," Peter said. "Look, we also have some rules here. This place kinda doubles as our base and home. Meaning you'll need to be mindful we have kids living here."
"I don't do babysitting either," John warns Peter.
"God, no, I'd be worried coming home to an exorcist if I did that," Peter promised. "Look, we are all on the same boat. We're all being targeted by the same person. So, we gotta keep the metahumans in this city safe from that..."
"Adaptoid." Cisco named the robot.
"...and we could focus on saving Raven and everyone else this monster has kidnapped." Peter finished his train of thought. "We have Yuri rounding up anyone that they can get ahold of that has the Metahuman genome on their list, so all we can really do is wait for..."
The alerts on their systems started to go off, alerting them that there was an attack from the robot. "That to happen?" Cisco asks.
Peter looked at the screens and saw one of the Metas were currently under attack. "Suit up, team."
Down the streets, Rosa Dillon, a metahuman who was given the nickname Top and she could create vertigo in a subject, setting them off balance, was being chase. Yeah, a power like that isn't exactly useful against an android that was hunting you down. She ran down the street's alleyway to try and escape the robot that was chasing her down. She ran to hide in a corner, thinking she had gotten away. She looked down the alley to see no sign of the robot and sighed, expecting this to be over.
But then the robot appeared right in front of her. She let out a shriek, not expecting to be able to escape this. But then a blast of fire came out of nowhere, sending the robot skidding backward. Rosa looked over and saw that the Fantastic Four had arrived on the scene and approached the robot.
"Ben, get her out of here," Peter demanded, taking the lead on this as he stepped forward. Ben walked over and helped Rosa up and helped her run by carrying her. "This tin man isn't going to escape."
"What's the plan?" Susan asks.
"You create a forcefield around the area, keep it contained," Peter said as Susan did just that, creating a forcefield to cover the alley. "Johnny? You and I take this thing apart."
In the midst of the intense battle, the Adaptoid, a highly advanced robot, suddenly began to transform itself into a powerful fire-based being. Peter, who was fighting alongside Johnny, quickly sprang into action and shot out a foam-like webbing to cool down the Adaptoid's fiery exterior. At the same time, Johnny took to the skies and started circling around the robot, unleashing his fiery attacks in an attempt to take down the Adaptoid.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn when the Adaptoid suddenly changed its form again, this time from a heat-based being to an ice-based one. The robot's entire body started to freeze over, creating a thick ice coating that was impervious to Johnny's flames.
As Johnny continued to attack the Adaptoid with his fire-based powers, the robot suddenly grabbed him and flung him towards Susan, who was standing nearby. Johnny collided with Susan, knocking her down, and causing the forcefield to close, sealing them off from the outside world. The Adaptoid had once again proven to be a formidable opponent, and the heroes knew they had to come up with a new strategy to defeat it.
"Well, that's new," Peter stated.
The Adaptoid then charged towards Peter, but then a strange mystical shield appeared out of thin air. He wondered what caused it when he saw John standing there. His eyes were glowing and it seemed he was conjuring a spell.
"Telema ahold pe bimisa mokeli na yo!" Constantine was conjuring a spell, and Peter watched cryptic symbols appear on the android. "Reveal to me your creator, foul demon!" The android was trying to break its way out, seems it was protected by magic. "Buka ba liens, omimonisa!"
Then Constantine felt a vision appear before his eyes. He found himself in a giant room of sorts. He saw tables with many pieces of tech all around the room, and someone facing a terminal typing on it.
"So... you're the bugger who's been after us?" Constantine asks.
"John Constantine." The masked figure scoffed, turning to reveal his iron mask. "The one who escaped. And ran to those...pathetic heroes."
"Yeah, you know what, friend, I will take my chances against them than with you." Constantine proclaimed as he looked around. "So, where do you keep all of the prisoners?"
"John?" Raven's voice called, causing him to spin and find the young girl in her own astral form. "You're here?"
"Oh, love, what has he done to you, kid?" John asked as he walked over towards Raven's astral form.
"Honestly? Not much." Raven admitted. "He doesn't seem to be hurting us much as studying us."
"You thought I kidnapped the most dangerous sorcerers in the world to kill them?" The masked figure asked. "No, I have plans for them. Just like the plans I have for your city."
Constantine watched as several lights turned on, revealing a whole lot more of the same Adaptoid they currently contained. They were all getting data into them, footage of their fights revealing that they were adapting to figure out how to fight the Fantastic Four.
"Okay, that's enough!" The masked man said as he sent green electricity toward both constructs, shocking them both and sending them back to where they came from.
Regaining consciousness, Constantine found no trace of his recent ordeal. He noticed the Adaptoid was still attempting to flee. Resolute, he readied himself for battle, determined to destroy the robot and prevent it from causing further harm.
"Zika na mɔ́tɔ ya mɔ́tɔ!" Constantine cried as the robot was surrounded by literal hellfire and burned to a crisp. He then placed his hands in his pocket and scoffed. "Try and adapt to that."
"What just happened?" Peter asked Constantine.
"I found our man," Constantine promised. "Raven is fine. She seems to be...asleep. He isn't harming any of them. He is draining their powers into the robots."
"Robots? Plural?" Susan asked in fear as they returned to the Future Foundation.
"Yeah, and he is going to use them to destroy your city," Constantine warned them.
"As if we didn't have enough problems with one of these robots." Caitlin sighed. "So, did you see who this guy was?"
"He wore a mask, love," Constantine tells her. "No telling what he looks like underneath."
"And Raven?" Peter asked worried for her the most.
Constantine shrugged, seeing how worried he was. "She seems to be okay. He isn't harming her. He needs her."
Peter took in a sigh of relief as Susan was happy to see he was relaxing after hearing that. Raven was something he was worried about because he was worried that monster was harming them. But if she was safe for now, that meant she was needed. And they had time to plan an attack before they could save her and everyone else who was kidnapped.
"Well, you said you saw snow and a castle-like interior so that at least gives us an area to search for," Bette commented, showing they were searching for those specific conditions around the world. "But that could still be anywhere. France. Germany. Greenland."
"Especially considering how fast they can travel back and forth," Cisco stated. "Buy what is left to attack?"
Peter figured out the best person to ask and look to Bette. "Bette. You worked with the military."
"Yes, I was," Bette confirmed.
"What would be the first targets you would hit to take down the enemy from the inside?" Peter asks her.
Bette considered her answer and shrugged. "Target their strongest defenses. Police. Army. Sometimes we would...go for the power."
That seemed to spark an idea in Peter. "The power plant!"
Cisco quickly pulled up footage of the power plant, noticing that the power plant was only just beginning to be invaded by Adaptoids. They knew that if those things knocked out power to the city, there was no chance of getting it back for possible months, and that could lead to some serious problems. And with the police stretched thin, there was no way they could reach the power plant and protect the metahumans at the same time.
Peter looked at his friends and sighed. "I know this is something we aren't used to fighting. But the people in this city are counting on us to fight for them. These things are strong, they have powers, but they're still machines. Heartless machines following orders. So, keep your head on straight. Because even after we win this fight, it isn't going to end soon."
"With that in mind..." Cisco got their attention, approaching from his labs carrying a fragment of the Adaptoid from the police station. "Using the tech we found in this piece you brought us earlier, we managed to sympathize these EMPs that will fry the robot circuits."
"Cisco, that's perfect," Peter said as he took one of them. "You came up with it fast."
"Well, I have been working on rough drafts since the other night," Cisco admitted.
"Bad news is, it needs to be placed on the head of the androids to have any effect." Bette broke to him.
"I don't like the sound of that," Johnny stated. "The last one nearly froze my neck off."
"Well, we don't have many other options," Peter stated and turned to Constantine. "John. Time to earn your pay."
Constantine then turned to the opening and closed his eyes, conjuring a portal to transport them to the power station. Johnny burst into flames, Susan prepared a forcefield, Ben cracked his knuckles, and Peter grabbed his mask and placed it on. Bette removed her gloves, preparing to help them with her powers.
"Let's save the city," Peter whispered.
The power plant was indeed under attack as predicted by them. They were beginning to use the powers they copied off the metahumans with ice, fire, super strength, and other powers to try and destroy the station. But that was when one of them watched the head of an Adaptoid being thrown across the way and bonked the head of the other ones, getting them to turn and face the entire Fantastic Four (even though there are currently six of them).
Constantine had his fist up with fire in his hand. Ben chuckled as he was holding the torso of the robot before ripping its arms off the torso. Peter was standing there and activated his mechanical arms, preparing to strike. Susan conjured a forcefield. Johnny burst into flames. Bette picked up fragments of the robot they broke and charged them to explode when she released them.
"Hi, there," Peter said casually.
"We're here to kick your asses," Johnny told them.
"You guys have the EMPs?" Peter asked.
"A handful each," Bette confirmed, patting one of her pouches.
"Let's kick their asses," Susan stated.
Peter then looked at their monstrous-rock friend. "Ben, you know the drill."
Ben chuckled as he threw the robot's arms behind him. "It's clobbering time!"
As the group charged toward the robots, Ben focused on one that had morphed into a rock-like form. In a split second, the robot punched Ben, but before it could do anything else, Bette came from behind and grabbed the robot's head, causing it to start exploding. The fragments of the robot scattered everywhere, and it didn't have the time to process Bette's Metahuman genome.
Meanwhile, Susan used forcefield after forcefield to protect herself from the relentless attacks of the robots. She had to shut down the forcefields briefly to place the EMPs on the robot's heads, which was becoming increasingly challenging as the robots were bigger than her. Despite this, she continued to use her forcefields as steps to get over them and did a summer sault to place the device on their heads.
Johnny joined in, flying around and blasting fire while also throwing the EMPs to get the robots to shut down when they placed them all. With the help of Peter, who used his webs to leap into the air and make it seem like he was coming down for a strike, only to activate the mechanical arms to then strike into the robot, the group managed to plant the EMP on the last of the robots.
The chaos didn't die down as the group fought their way through the robots, but they finally succeeded in taking them down and shutting down their entire network. But what they didn't count on, the EMP might have shut down the robot's functions, but they were still recording everything. All they were seeing, everything they were using to fight, it was all being recorded.
The masked man sits on his throne and watches the footage go dark and finally shut down. He sighed and saw that half of the data he obtained was corrupted. He had no way to regain the half he lost. He'll just manage with the half he does have
"Sir. What is our next plan of attack?" The Doombot asked.
He didn't respond however and used his electricity to destroy the android. He was fueled with anger and hatred. "This isn't the end, Peter Parker."
Back in Central City, Peter and Susan were taking a stroll through the park while they took the kids out to enjoy some time at the park. Peter watched as the kids played around, just being normal kids and they even managed to set up Katherine Power to meet up with help from Barry who was off with Caitlin.
"You okay?" Susan asked him.
Peter smiled at the kids and back at her. "I am fine." He then pecked her lips. "I am still worked up about Raven, but...she's safe according to Constantine. We need a real plan of attack if we want to try and stop this guy."
"Dr. Doom?" Susan guessed who he meant.
"God, is that name sticking?" Peter scoffed. "Fine. Dr. Doom."
"Hey, Peter!" Amora met up with them. She gave a warm smile to Peter but noticed Susan. "Oh, who is this?"
"Susan, this is Amora. Amora, Susan, my girlfriend." Peter finally introduced them to one another.
"Oh, you're Amora." Susan was happy to meet her. "Peter's been mentioning you."
"All good things?" Amora asks.
"Yeah, but he forgot to mention how beautiful you were," Susan said as she gave Peter a smirky smile. "You have a thing with blonds, don't you?"
Peter looked at Amora and at his girlfriend. "I plead the Fifth."
Susan, Peter, and Amora started to try and get to know each other. They found a bench to sit on near the park the kids were playing at and started getting to know each other. Peter, who looked visibly tired, was struggling to stay awake with his constant sleepless nights recently. He sat in the middle, with Amora on his right and Susan on his left. As they talked, Peter's eyes started to droop, and he began to lean back.
However, instead of leaning towards Susan as he had intended to do, he surprisingly leaned to the right and rested his head on Amora shoulder.
Suddenly Peter sees a vision of himself as child and small blond girl sitting together watching the sunset with her head on his shoulder.
Susan was taken aback at first, but her surprise quickly turned into amusement as she watched the scene unfold. Amora, on the other hand, seemed pleased by Peter's unexpected gesture. Her friendly smile transformed into a grin as she leaned her head against Peter's and wrapped her arm around him.
Peter, now comfortably dozing off, seemed to have found solace in Amora's embrace. The three of them sat there, enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the park and sunset, with Peter sleeping soundly on Amora's shoulder. Susan felt she should not be as okay with this as she was, but for some reason she felt like it was okay even if she had nagging feeling in the back of her neck.
