Jean has decided he is going to kill himself, it is not a question of if, but when. Trant falls ill with a mystery illness and has to face up to his own mortality. Jean ends up taking responsibility for taking care of him. There's no way that could end up being messy and complicated, right?

Harry offers Kim a place to stay a few nights a week to reduce his commute, but the reality of it proves much more challenging than the idea.

Trant and Jean confess their feelings for each other in their own peculiar ways.

After the case in Martinaise is wrapped up, Kim and Harry return to their respective precincts and their old lives. Harry struggles to re-adjust and finds himself missing his one-time partner terribly.

Kim's trip back home to transport the corpse to Precinct 57 is cut short by a report of an officer down in Martinaise. It's Harry, of course it's Harry. Kim is all too happy to run to his rescue.

Okay, this one is pretty self-explanatory. Plagued by nightmares, Harry goes to Kim in the middle of the night.

Harry asks Kim why he never calls him by name, and the answer surprises him. And when Kim does say his name, he likes it a little too much.

After going on a bender, Harry wakes up three times to find Kim watching over him like his personal guardian angel.
