Chapter 1
Floating in what appears to be a Dark Void is an unconscious male teenager, probably between the ages of 18 to 19. He's 5'7", Fair skinned with neck length Dark hair that has multiple white imprints. The front part of his hair is styled in a way that completely covers his right eye (Use Makoto Yuki from Persona 3 for reference). He's also wearing a dark Jean trouser, black boots and a plain white T-shirt.
Finally waking up but keeping his eyes shut he starts to think. " Am I dead? The last thing I remember was getting hit by a truck…yeah I'm definitely dead. Though for some reason this feels peaceful."
"Finally awake interloper?"
A booming voice causes the boy to snap his eyes open as he is greeted with a familiar site, having been used to playing Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Tag Force games during his free time.
Taking a better look at his surroundings, he noticed he is on the massive hand of of the Duel Spirit Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu.
" Well shit." He thought, deciding to stand up
"For a human you are quite unique. I had not anticipated being summoned by a Mortal, more especially one that is not from this universe. Tell me Boy, how is this possible?" Ccapac asked
"Your guess is as good as mine." He said finally building up the courage to speak
"Hmm." Ccapac merely hummed eying the boy
"Where am I?" He asked
"You are in the Netherworld. It would seem you passed on in your world and somehow ended up here. Still your power is unlike anything I have seen. I had successfully made you a Dark Signer but for some reason you are unaffected by my powers. Your mind is not being influenced by the Envoy of Darkness." Ccapac said observing him with it's massive eye
"Well that was nice of you." He said sarcastically not liking the fact that Ccapac had intended to possess him while he was out of it.
" Wait, he said he was successful." He thought checking his hand and noticing the Signer tattoo on his right shoulder " Well, I always wanted to get a tattoo"
"You also brought various cards from your world. One that happened to be ME, which I believe is what drew me to you and for some unknown reason all your monster cards are spirits." Ccapac said as he made a Deck appear in front of the Boy.
Taking the cards into his hand he recognized that the Deck to be the one he used while playing Yu-Gi-Oh in the real world.
"You said they're all spirits?" He asked
"Indeed."
The boy turned around towards the voice and stood face to face with one of his favorite cards, Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World towering above him and other duel monster spirits behind him as well.
"Our souls are bound to yours and thus your demise would spell our end. So we have decided to lend you our strength to ensure your survival." Grapha said
"This feels like a dream." He said still in shock of what he was seeing
"Well, it isn't so you better step up Boss." Battle Fader said floating close to his face with a voice that sounded like Alvin from the Chipmunks
"I am definitely not getting used to your voice." He said
"Hey!" Fader yelled
Turning to face Ccapac he then asked
"So what now?"
"I will send you to the Mortal realm to destroy the Signers." Ccapac said
"And what if I don't want to destroy them?"
"It matters not, for I am already bound to your soul, still you possess the power to negate my power or release it depending on what choose. So unless you will it I can do nothing to influence your decision." Ccapac said
"Well that's a relief. That means if I summon you I can make it that you don't drain the souls of any civilian?" He asked
"Correct." Ccapac simply said
"Plus you got this cool power that can make us real in duels or just regular cards. Pretty neat right?" Fader said floating around him
"Yeah. Though how does it work?" He asked
"In time you will learn. But now we must leave for the human realm Boy." Ccapac said
"My name isn't Boy, it's Ben." He said
"I choose to call you Boy." Ccapac said not giving a crap
Suddenly something resembling a Black Hole appeared above Ben, sucking him in without warning.
Road Cliff New Domino City
Landing face first on the road Ben groaned as he started getting up. Noticing the Dark Duel disk on his left hand along with his deck in it he checks his right hand and noticed the glowing card of Ccapac in it. Deciding to read the card it notes…
" Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu (3000Atk/2500Def/Lvl10/Dark/Fiend/
Effect) While this card is face-up on the field , " Earthbound Immortal " monsters cannot be Summoned . If there is no face-up Field Spell Card on the field, the following effects are negated , and this card is destroyed during the End Phase : This card can attack your opponent directly . This card cannot be attacked by your opponent's monsters. This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell / Trap Cards . If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle , inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK ."
"Anime effect? Not bad." Ben said adding the card to his Deck "Now to figure out where I am. Man who am I kidding, I have no idea where I am. Majority of my knowledge of 5D's come from the Tag Force games and a few wiki's. You just had to drop me off in the middle of nowhere." He groaned at Ccapac
"Cease with your complaining Boy." Ccapac said in his mindscape
"Guess you're on your own Boss." Fader said floating on his shoulder while looking incorporeal.
"You could have at least dropped him somewhere with other humans." Grapha said signing at Ccapac
"Be careful how you address me Grapha." Ccapac warned
"Is that a challenge?" Grapha said in a similar tune
"Boss." Fader said
"That's it, I don't want anyone of you fighting in my head, is that clear?" Ben said
"As you wish." Grapha said, while Ccapac merely huffed
"Thank you." Ben said
"Boss." Fader said again
"What is it?" He asked turning to the floating Fiend
"Car." Fader said casually. Being caught up with his Spirits internal argument, he didn't notice the speeding car rushing towards him. Turning his head to the direction Fader was referring to he didn't have time to react as he was hit by a car that knocked him to the ground causing pain to shoot through his body.
"What is it with vehicles running into me this period?" Ben asked himself while trying to stand up
"Well, look on the bright side, I skipped the battle phase." Fader said proudly
"Skipped the battle phase but some how my entire body hurts." Ben said with sarcasm
"What he meant is that he prevented you from being physically harmed by the car." Grapha said
True to his words, Ben took notice of himself, noting he didn't sustain any form of injury, not even a scratch.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't thinking straight. Are you all right?" Ben heard a female voice say
Slowly getting up while facing the new arrival, he is met with the site of Misty Lola. She had bags under her eyes, an indication that she had been crying.
"If I remember correctly, she just received news of her brothers death that caused her to drive up a cliff killing her which in the end turned her into a Dark Signer. If her being here is any indication, this was suppose to be the event that changed her." Ben thought
"One of my brethren is around this area." Ccapac noted
"Where?" Be asked
"I do not know, but she is close." Ccapac said
"Are you all right?" Misty asked bringing him out of his mental discussion
"Yeah, I'm fine, no need to worry." Ben said trying to wave her off
"Of course I'm going to worry. I just ran into you. Did you get injured, let me check your arm." She said trying to check for injuries
"I'm not injured. See." Ben said indicating he was fine
"Still, I shouldn't have been driving recklessly. Please allow me to drive you home, it's the least I can do." She said to him
"Well, I think I'm lost." Ben said scratching his head
"Oh, you can just tell me where you live and I can help you."
"That's the thing, I don't remember." Ben said
"Oh no, I gave you amnesia." She said in horror
"Oh no, I kinda already didn't remember before you hit me." Ben said trying to reassure her. It didn't work
"I need to take you to the hospital." Misty said
"Ooookay." Ben said
"Do you at least remember anything?" She asked again
"Well I remember my name. It's Ben…" He said pausing for a moment before coming up with a surname "Strega. Ben Strega."
"Okay Ben, let's get into my car so I can take you to the hospital." Misty said leading him into her car before driving off.
MMM
The ride was filled with silence as no one spoke as Misty drove.
"Do you still feel her?" Ben asked Ccapac
"Yes, she is following us but also keeping her distance." Ccapac said
Taking in the information, Ben turned to Misty who was focused on her driving, before trying to break the Ice.
"So, I kinda noticed you seemed sad a while back. Are you alright?" He asked
"I'm fine." She said in a not so fine manner
"That doesn't sound fine." Ben said blankly
"I said I'm fine!" Misty almost yelled
Seeing that he wasn't helping matters, Ben decided to keep his mouth shut and not say anything for the rest of the ride.
Hospital
Having explained Ben's issue with the Doctor and after a series of testing, Misty is seen discussing with the Doctor concerning the results with, Ben behind her listening.
"We've done all we can and honestly, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with his brain activity. Though cases of this type of amnesia are rear, they do happen, so I suggest you take him to Sector Security as they should be able to help locate his relatives." The Doctor said
"Thank you for your help, I'll do just that." Misty said before turning to Ben.
"Come on." She said signalling Ben to follow her.
"Sector Security huh? Well how bad can it be." Ben thought while following her.
Sector Security Station
"Oh for Christ sake, somebody just kill me!" Ben mentally screamed as he was in the presence of Ushio and Mikage
